Usually Wu Xie is the baby of the group. When he's with Pangzi and Xiao-ge he's obviously the least experienced so it's kind of nice to see him being the leader and taking care of these other two.

See Xiao-ge, this is why Pangzi keeps calling A-Ning Wu Xie's wife. She keeps doing your job for you. But in actuality I can't be that mad. Xiao-ge is probably extremely distracted by recalling events from his former life which was probably gut wrenchingly heartbreaking.

Did the bronze tree just make him hallucinate Xiao-ge?

Wait Xiao-ge saw Wu Xie too?? Could this be... soulbonding??

Oh goodness, the bugs again. This show really likes their bugs.

What she really needs to do is stop thinking about things she can't have. But A-Ning has never been good at accepting defeat, and Huo Xiuxiu is no exception. The flower of the Jiumen; smart, beautiful, and a disarmingly good fighter. A-Ning will never forget the first time they crossed paths, and how Xiuxiu, in a pretty lavender dress, had promptly thrown her down on the ground, knee in the middle of her back, and wouldn't let her up until A-Ning surrendered her name. She stares out into the darkness, arms crossed. What is she thinking—she's a ruffian, a thief and a bandit. What use could a Huo have for someone like her— "A-Ning?" There's a voice from the trees, and A-Ning has drawn her knife before she sees who it is. It's Xiuxiu, in field clothing, leather trousers and jacket, walking towards her with her hands held out. "I've been looking for you everywhere. Why haven't you written to me? Where have you been—" Suddenly A-Ning's evening is a lot better.

Fanon likes to portray Jiang Cheng and Lan Wangji as being jealous of each other because they fear wei wuxian will choose one of them over the other. Which is ignoring the fact that at least in novel canon Jiang Cheng did not even fucking know wangxian ever got along let alone that lwj was in love with wwx until at the very end of the story (in cql canon he does go through a wangxian phase early on and gets very confused by their "breakup" during wwx's sunshot era) and that Lan Wangji is mostly filled with loathing towards both himself and Jiang Cheng for 'abandoning' Wei Wuxian and not being able to save him.

It also ignores the much bigger point that both Lan Wangji and Jiang Cheng are actually jealous of Wen Ning. And why wouldn't they be? That is who Wei Wuxian chose in his first life. He left the Jiang, told Lan Wangji to fuck off no he is not coming to gusu with you, and spent his days with his little-brother-shaped corpse bestie on his mountain in yiling. And then when he came back he immediately called him up the second he could string together more than two notes on a flute. Wen Ning is the real competition. (And he's winning)

The Lost tomb 2: Ep.2

The entire first half of this episode was scuba diving. I wonder if doing these underwater shots was really expense so they had to make sure they got their money's worth by giving them a good chunk of the run time.

I totally didn't make an effort to clock what colour each of the characters' gear was so I have no idea who's doing what *crying*.

Wu Xie and Fatty have a very playful relationship in this season that I'm very much enjoying. We saw a little bit of it in the first season but it's really coming out in this one! Also I have determined that Wu Xie's new acting is adorable enough to play him.

Oh, A-Ning is up to something nefarious.

This Zhang guy just picked Wu Xie up and spun him around like a wind mill. Oh my goodness, some of these stunts are hilarious.

What?? She just used him as a human shield. There's a bunch of arrows in his chest now. There's no way one of those didn't hit a vital organ. If this Zhang guy really is Xiao-ge in disguise I'm gonna have a word with him. Although this incident of just running off without warning is only making me think it is Xiao-ge more.

Oh my goodness they're fake arrows?!? Did A-Ning know that?

Oh my goodness it is Xiao-ge!! His acting while disguised as the Zhang guy brought out a whole new side of him. I miss the emo hair from season one a bit, but I'm happy we officially have him back! The little shoulder slapping with Wu Xie is cute.

This tomb seems familiar but he can't remember? Is Xiao-ge immortal but has memory issues? I'm back on my Xiao-ge origin theories.

Another man named Zhang in this flashback. It's even the same character for it. His father, an uncle, him but old? I am very much enjoying this Xiao-ge mystery!

Adding +4 to the Xiao-ge saves Wu Xie tally retroactively since the Zhang guy was revealed to be Xiao-ge. Two for last episode (once on the boat during the storm and once on he ghost ship) and two for this one (when they were attacked by the hair thing in the water and then with the arrows (I'm still counting it even though Wu Xie wasn't really in danger because they all thought he was)).

Favorite Feral Lan Wangji Moments:

- Punching down several trees after kissing his crush (derogatory) for the first time because he has no idea how to process emotions normally

- Randomly biting Wei Wuxian in the cave because he has no idea how to process emotions normally

- Getting absolutely shit faced for the first time in his life and destroying a bunch of shit around cloud recesses before branding himself with the mark his crush from 10 years ago also had because he- well you get it.

- Writing an entire love song for his crush, naming it their ship name, and then only ever singing it out loud once to said crush without him knowing (this is an important tool we'll save for later)

- Generally enjoying being a little shit and then pretending he didn't do anything when people confront him about it
