Avel’ has a tendency to depersonalize and has not socialized much. He has always considered himself akin to a mechanism detail, functioning properly and being useful. Now that he has expirienced the friendship and romantic relationship and hearing josephine’s words he can finally start seeing himself in a new light. It is a first time he chooses to sacrify a but of his comfort to become closer with someone, and he likes the feeling of being complimented for his efforts and attractiveness by a person he loves. To him it is a step towards self understanding and growing a healthy sence of ego.

this comic takes place about a year or so after the trespasser, when Avel understands now that he is neither a keeper nor the inquisitor he doesn’t really know what to do. His whole life was dedicated to managing and helping people, and now he is lost, cause he rarely selfreflects and delves into his own interests or personality
