Ending
That was an interesting episode of nothing. I'm glad we got through it. . .
I guess I'll rate it a 4 out of 10. See you next week (hopefully) for some banger final episode of the season storytelling. . . (hopefully)!

Idk if you already answered an ask like this already but does Splinter and Donnie have a good father and son relationship? 🤔
For the most part, yeah it's good. Splinter still has his flaws of course, as much as he loves Donnie he isn't always very good at showing it, and he's still dealing with some pretty intense depression.
That being said, taking care of one mutant turtle child, while still hard, is significantly easier than care of four. Because of that, Splinter in this AU is able to dedicate a lot more time to Donnie. On the flipside, because Donnie doesn't have any siblings to entertain him, he seeks out Splinter for company a lot more, and Splinter isn't always able to give all of the attention that he needs. But overall, I'd say they are closer in the AU than they are in canon, considering they've mostly only been able to rely on each other for so long.

ok not to be a hater but
They replaced this really cool moment where Khun recognizes Bam through his vocal tic of calling everyone Mr. or Ms. with this generic line
for no reason that I can comprehend

ok I love my girl Sasha but if we're being honest she would've been an awful archivist. she followed the first eldritch monster she ever saw to no less than five secondary locations!! she got killed by the third entity she ever met! she would not have survived more than a year as archivist!

the absolute despair in bucks eyes when eddie admits that he’s worried about himself too will lit be my 13th reason. they’ve both been to hell and back and there hasn’t been a single scenario where either of them takes a second and. agrees. that they are Not Okay. oh im gonna be sick.

The Big Three?
That's descriptive.
These three lovely students are the best at UA? Cool. We already have some idea what the first is capable of, I'm curious about the other two. Periwinkle hair is cool regardless. . . .

What does "kind as summer" even mean?
When I think of summer, I don't think of kindness. Where I live, it's either "you'll melt if you even think about going outside" or "you'll melt if you even think about going outside, and it's raining", and sometimes "you won't melt immediately upon going outside, but you might get hit by a tree or lightning, or possibly a tree getting hit by lightning".
I really hope Elrond isn't like that.
But I guess Tolkien lived in a place where the summer was a nice, mild 50-70 degrees Fahrenheit, so there's that.
Still, because of how summer is where I live, I characterize Elrond like this:
Elrond is kind, but he's not always nice. He is blunt and straightforward, and he says what he means and means what he says. He is usually gentle enough for his work as a healer, but if this is, say, the fifth time you broke your leg doing something stupid, he'll give you the Eyebrows of Doom™. He has a temper that he keeps well under control, but you can see the signs of him losing patience from afar off (so act accordingly). He's not above acting passive aggressive when he loses his temper, but it is very hard to push him to that point.
Maybe be more specific with your simile, Professor.

considering where we left off after season 1, it's actually not a surprise how the two of them ended up.
yeah, they held hands on the bus and went to the ritz—but did aziraphale ever apologise for all the horrible shit he threw at crowley?
did they ever properly talk about the bookshop fire and what it did to crowley to think aziraphale was gone gone for a few hours?
did they ever address "and i will never talk to you again?" or how much power it must have cost crowley to stop time while the literal king of hell was bursting through the ground? in how much pain he visibly was?
did crowley feel comfortable and safe enough to talk about how triggering it must have been for him to be burned alive in heaven AGAIN? did he tell aziraphale about the holy water he had to use? that it could have easily destroyed not just ligur but hastur and himself too?
fuck, did he get to process ANY of the shit that happened on his way to tadfield?
they got closer and blurred some edges, but fundamentally they functioned exactly like before.

Welp, not me wanting to write a follow up to Rumour has it… where Rayllum break one of those weird hammock beds at the Star Scraper. 😬
