Transmasc Chase Headcanons :)

-House was the first one to figure out that he was trans. When Chase's dad called in the favor for House to hire him, he used his deadname and feminine terms. House pretty much realized Chase was trans the second he saw him and didn't want to make a big deal out of it. He said something actually really nice like "Oh, remind me of your name again." so he could introduce himself the way he wanted.

-Cameron actually did not realize Chase was trans the first time they fucked because she was high out of her mind. But they discussed it when they continued their relationship and she was also really cool about it. She'd probably want to help out with his T shots and stuff even though he could do it perfectly fine by himself.

-He hesitated to tell Foreman because he felt like Foreman was the first person to ever see him as "one of the guys", and he admired Foreman and was afraid that he would stop seeing him that way if he ever came out, but he probably came out eventually and Foreman was also cool.

-Thirteen clocked his ass immediately. She probably asked him his pronouns and he got very flustered.

-A few little kids he's had on clinic duty have asked him if he was a boy or a girl (because of the long hair) and it always gives him dysphoria. It stopped after his cut his hair which made him happy even though he actually really liked his long hair.

-He mostly liked being described as "pretty" or as a "pretty boy", but a small part of him didn't like the term "pretty", and wished he could either be considered more classically handsome, or just be considered more masc in general. But he was mostly really attached to being pretty and that's why he only cut his hair and grew out his beard after a life shattering event.

-In a similar vain, House gave Chase hella gender envy. He saw him as a father figure and wanted to "grow up" (not really cause he's an adult but you get the point) and be like him, or at least look like him. And he achieved his goal! Yay!

-Rowan Chase was definitely super transphobic. That's probably why he cut Chase out of his will and didn't even tell him that he was dying. If Chase wasn't his daughter, Chase wasn't his child at all.

-He actually went to wherever you go to become a nun, not seminary school. The seminary school thing was a lie, but he got kicked out for the same reason (having sex). Growing up Catholic definitely affected the way he saw himself and his gender.

Some explanations for their outfits and names under the cut !

First off, their names !

Ada is taken from Ada Lovelace, a mathematician and contributor to the development of the computer.

Pearl is derived from the origin of the term baroque (which is a homophone with Barok) in that 'baroque' as a display of extravagance came from the term barroco, which describes an uneven pearl.

Outfits !

Ada is wearing a cycling skirt because I think being a cyclist fits her personality (and her and Albert being cyclists is a nice contrast against Pearl and Barok's preference to horses.) Her waistcoat is blue because Albert's is pink (while I could say that it's because of pink being for boys and blue being for girls that's more for babies and there wasn't actually as big of an enforcement of gender colours as there is now, but I digress) It's blue so there's more of a difference with Albert. Her hair is in a bun cuz you gotta keep that out of your eyes when you're messing around with electricity. The straw boater is just because I like it and people be wearing hats in the 1890's (I think tgaa takes place in 1898 and 1899) Her pearl earrings are a gift from Pearl, they're matching <3

The crest is also the little gold thing on her hat the feathers are attached to. Her sword is still attached to her jacket like the original (why it was designed to attach to the jacket and not the belt idk, I also think the sash clasp thing he has is weird but that's not relevant.) Skirts match jackets at the time so that's self explanatory. The panel in the front is in reference to Barok's trousers (and that some skirts did have a similar thing) and also so that we can get a break from the blue. SHE IS STILL WEARING THE BOOTS DO NOT WORRY. Hat because people wear hats and pearl earrings because <3

Transfem Shrimpo Doodles and doodles for a…kind of self indulgent probably ooc au based on a Pokémon nuzlocke I’m doing.

Shrimpo and Toodles are siblings to me. Nothing will change this. Shrimpo will absolutely make fun of Toodles but if anyone else does she will throw her brick at them. She also lets Toodles paint her nails.

Poppy and Shrimpo <3. Honestly starting to sort of ship it but here it’s friendship. Poppy helped her figure things out. I’m imaging that when a few of the toons were first made they kind of came to the conclusion that they weren’t the gender that was originally intended for them, so that was fun script changing for Gardenview/j, Shrimpo was made real later on due to her…personality (I imagine the toons and Gardenview came before the cartoon, mainly to explain some headcanons, so some existed before the Cartoon such as the mains, the starters, etc. and others came from the cartoon such as Shrimpo), and didn’t realize a toon could be a different gender than what they were intended.

Shelly and Shrimpo friendship is everything to me you can pry it out of my cold dead hands. Ichor is pretty malleable so toons can change their appearance if they get a hold of some extra. Sprout didn’t have top to give surgery even before he realized he was trans but he gave himself the scars anyway because he thought it was neat…and now Shrimpo is in similar circumstances/j

And now the weird au I have no name for

All these designs are based vaguely off of Pokémon and random ideas I had while doing a nuzlocke (specifically of a rom hack which is why the Pokémon are so mismatched) which is still ongoing.

Basically weird stuff happened, all the toons and twisteds got thrown into another dimension that keeps having other dimensions fuse with it to the point that this is just a regular October for them…anyway due to another substance in this dimension reacting a bit weird with ichor due to their similar properties it kind of started changing the most of the toons appearances and these are some of those designs

I got a Magikarp so of course I had to make Shrimpo the pathetic fish…and then the overpowered serpent. She started out with her canon design and then got the extra shrimp features…including arms. And also the marks from her skin, because I thought that would be fun.

Toodles ended up as a Togepi and the first move she pulled from metronome was FUCKING “Snipe shot”, so now she has a sniper rifle that no one can take from her because she can just summon it back to her. Not much changed much about her physically outside of her blush marks becoming triangles. The wings are just fakes because she got a new hoodie.

Rodger will one day be a graveler so four arms, not much to say. He is wearing alpha sleeper though since his suit got kind of…destroyed. By growing a second set of arms.

Razzle and Dazzle are a Galarian Yamask. They aren’t having a great time. They got knocked out at some point, Dandy found them and then got a terrible idea and enacted the first part of the idea on whichever one of them woke up first…unfortunately for Razzle, he’s an early riser. So uh, face shattered, Dazzle got lied to about the cause and then Dandy convinced him he could fix Razzle’s head if Dazzle just helped him with something. Razzle’s fucked up physically and mentally and Dazzle is just having a bad time.

CENTIVEE!!!! She got Venipede!!!! CENTIVEEEEEEEEEEE. I just like bug looking characters. She’s got a bunch of legs and three pairs of arms.

Shelly was the starter! Totodile! She’s got some croc stuff going on, nothing too distract she’s just a little reptile.

Cosmo probably would have come out normal looking outside having his caramel skins cheeks if he didn’t look a god straight in the eye. Now he’s gained their interest and if one gains a gods interest they can end up with some…new limbs or horns. In this case Cosmo got both since he ended up as Pidove and I wanted to incorporate the weird mask thing on Unfeasant so uh…Horn going straight through his eye! Fun!

Dandy is a Budew. Weird sleeve things aren’t sleeves, they are, in fact, a part of his arms. He’s got some twisted features too since…well, twisted dandy is dandy

Finn died in game. He was a Wooper, but he’ll be back eventually…the next time I get a fish Pokémon. Once that happens he’s never getting his legs back/j. Man is stuck as a mermaid…or Mayhaps a siren. Depends on what fish I get.

It’s pride month time to start spreading my transfem Luffy propaganda with a few head canons about it (early childhood edition!):

Luffy probably never thought about gender for more than .5 seconds let’s be honest

But at the same time figured out her gender very early on and very quickly

Just kinda had that “it is what it is” attitude about it and then proceeded to move on lol

The first dysphoria experience ironically came from shanks ( the trans man of all time, you can pry that hc from my cold dead hands) from just calling her “lad” and Luffy was just like “ew that doesn’t feel right”

Makino definitely played a role in figuring out her gender as well. I feel like luffy had a lot of idolization of her and just thought she was the coolest person ever before shanks entered her life but also at the same time had a lot of gender envy towards her and that confused her but then proceeded to promptly stop thinking about it

She definitely knew what she was feeling and that she didn’t like being a boy but at the same time just. Had no idea how to explain that as a six year old. She couldn’t put a label on her feelings and what she was experiencing and that made her more upset and more confused

So as Luffy does she went to shanks about it

She figured it out very quickly after that

She then proceeded to shout to the whole damn world that she was a girl

“Makino I’m a girl!” “That’s nice Luffy, did you drink anything today?” <- average response to Luffy, kinda had a hunch after they caught her staring at dresses through windows for a good half hour

Her first dress was a gift from Makino and the first time she wore it she cried lol

Though I feel like generally nothing really changes about her appearance Mostly because she doesn’t really care most of the time, but I also feel like her dysphoria is the most up and down roller coaster ever

Got called missy when she misbehaved, and also just generally when being teased by the red haired pirates

MY AFTG pride hc of the Foxes for Pride Month:

Neil: demisexual (canon!) But also demiromantic, this boy had not felt a single romantic feeling towards anyone expect for Andrew (he definitely just says he's andrewsexual until he learns about demi). As for gender, HE IS A TRANS MAN I WILL GO DOWN WITH THIS Y'ALL CAN FIGHT ME (it just makes so much sense you can pry trans Neil out of my cold dead hands if you dare)

Andrew: gay (canon) but also greyromantic or demi romantic, I'm torn between the two but he defo didn't experience romantic feelings for anyone but Neil (i.e. the reason he thought Neil was a hallucination bc he had never felt something like that before and hoped it was because of the drugs but hahaha nope!)

Aaron: repressed bisexual, he knew from an early age that boys were cute just like girls but he heard what Luther was saying about gay people and suppressed his own feelings for y e a r s and acted out bc he never processed his sexuality for a decade (also Neil was an asshole and he didn't want his brother to date the guy he hated the most so of course he was against it, also because he realizes that Neil could hurt Andrew (re Baltimore) and that's not gonna happen, not on Aaron's watch no sir)

Kevin: bisexual (this guy is bi, he's so bi like- he's a bi man if I've ever seen one) (so bi he fails completely at trying to pass as straight, his giant crush on Jeremy was a dead give away) but he's definitely on the aro spectrum. He's definitely still figuring it out bc you know, romantic feelings weren't allowed in the Nest so he's figuring it out

Nicky: gay :3 (canon)

Dan: bi sexual but, to her huge dismay, with a preference for men (super satly when she realized this but you know she got Matt out of it so it was okay)

Matt: he's also bi, I mean just look at him. If he wasn't so in love with Dan and was able to, he would probably kiss Neil. He and Dan definitely talk about the cute people they see and point out cute people because they're comfortable in their relationship to do so, no jealousy here

Allison: a bi sexual queen! She doesn't realize it until after Seth passed however. She definitely made out with girls while drunk and just thought it was normal (sure, keep telling yourself that boo)

Renee: a fucking lesbian. Should've been canon (I saw Nora trying to force a Renee Jean thing, I saw that and I reject that)

Jeremy: pan, gender doesn't matter at all to him, he loves all

Jean: queer, he can admit he is attracted to multiple genders but he has too much trauma to really look into it. He's also ace for sure

So the thing about Clarice and Joey...

I'm just going on a HUGE rant here because I ship these two a ton and my exhausted brain wants to use this rarepair as an outlet hhhh

Okay so I am currently on my 8th or 9th playthrough of House of Ashes and I decided to take a look at the background characters. A bit late I know but shhhh. I decided to play as good guy Eric and make friends at the base but also look at the characters around the ones who do most of the talking. And what do I see when Eric and company enter the base and approach Joey?

Clarice opening her mouth as soon as she looks at Joey as if she's gasping. I'm reading a lot into it because I am desperate, I know, but look at it- (Putting the rest under 'keep reading' so I don't clutter your dashboard)

No idea why she did it. Maybe she was yawning or something, I dunno. But it's cute. And I mean, can you blame her? Sure, Joey likes to pull 'yo momma' jokes but unlike Merwin he has the charisma and social skills to only make those jokes when he wants to lighten up the mood, but drops it immediately if things get serious. He's a cutie and I would burn down a nation for him.

Anyways, during this scene Clarice keeps smiling at Joey. It's most likely because she feels encouraged by Eric's confident aura, it would be quite contagious, and knowing that she works for someone who pioneered a huge project that could turn the tides of war majorly could boost her own self-esteem. Or maybe she finds Joey's nervousness around Eric appealing, or at the very least charming.

Seriously, 95% of the time Clarice looks at Joey she's smiling or at least smirking. And yes, Joey doesn't pay her much attention during this moment, focused solely on Eric and his own embarrassment. But just look at Clarice's smile when Joey shyly shifts in his seat.

Let's take a look at Joey after the briefing, once you gain control of Eric. He's sitting on a desk behind Clarice, head turned towards her, whistling away as they wait. He's not directly shown looking at her in any of the cutscenes but when you approach him it's obvious. He doesn't follow Eric and when you trigger the cutscene you can see that he is looking towards him (where Clarice is) instead of the playing cards in his hands.

Alright, I know it's now time to look at their conversation in the helo. Notice how Clarice turns to Joey right away when she asks about the term 'Semper Fi' and when Joey explains the context of it all, she wants him to give her more examples. And even though she dismisses it all as some sort of boys' scout thing, Joey isn't offended in the slightest, merely stating that those superstitions exist to keep morale high and not leave everything in the hands of faith. They're having a very healthy conversation about their different viewpoints and I love it (plus how Joey's facial expression towards Clarice changes in this scene. It starts out with an unimpressed smile, turns into a serious gaze when he talks about his believes and then seemingly thinks the conversation is over and then he outright grins all goofy at her when Clarice asks further and then announces that it all sounds stupid to her. He looks like he wanted to tease her and succeeded).

Not to mention the parallels between the two. Joey get's shot during Dar's attack and dies in Nick's arms. Clarice hides in a panic and ends up stuck in the tunnels with a dying Merwin. She gets infected and slowly turns into a vampire. Joey's corpse somehow gets infected as well and he comes back from the dead, attacking Jason.

These two did NOT deserve what happened to them and I hope they meet in the afterlife to hold hands! *swipes away a dramatic tear*

And I know that most of the fandom headcanon Clarice as lesbian because of her and Rachel's chemistry. And I agree, but I personally headcanon her as a bi-lesbian, a woman who likes multiple genders but has a preference for women. Also Joey is trans in my headcanon and you can pry that away from my cold dead handsss-

ANYWAYS to round this whole thing up, I love Jorice. They shared only a fraction of screen time together but they have already wormed their way into my heart and I will cherish this ship forever, even if it's nothing more than a canoe for one!

• oliver was the one who original introduced kaz to comics, but kaz got into them WAY more at first. (they were considerably easier for him to digest than books)

• during mm era i am a Strong believer that oliver’s growth spurt made him exactly an inch taller than kaz and this pisses kaz off to no end.

• jordan and kaz bicker like siblings, but oliver and kaz bicker like an old married couple. gus commonly says that he would choose oliver in the divorce (sorry kaz).

• over the summer, pre-mm, jordan helps oliver dye pink streaks in his hair and bridget loves it (she makes him dye it back for the next school year though)

• oliver is allergic to too many things to keep track of.

• kaz’s little sisters would force him to let them hang out with him and oliver just because oliver let them braid his hair or paint his nails without complaining as much as kaz. (he is VERY vocal)

so uh. kaveh. he's definitely the sumeru boy i think the least about, unlike most other 4ggravate fans. but i do still have Thoughts about him, so here we go!

he's definitely bi to me. someone who values beauty and love so much would obviously be able to find said beauty and love in all genders in my mind.

her gender is funny to me. always transfem (you can pry that headcanon from my cold dead hands) but everything else is complicated. is she nonbinary? bigender? genderfluid? binary trans woman? im not sure yet. i just know thats a he/she ass bitch and that she gets her hormones from tighnari.

i think she values self-identity greatly. it's one of the few things he has that always stays constant. along with that, she's very supportive of other people and their personal journeys. she was ecstatic when alhaitham came out to him before anyone else.

I've never made an explanation, but here's my list of headcanons:

as for my explanation, I believe he struggles with his masculinity in a uniquely transmasc way. People that headcanon him as transfemme will notably say that he's "performing gender", overcompensating to portray a sense of masculinity that he doesn't feel internally. But I disagree (for one, he's not hypermasculine in any sense that could be construed as a performance). This is because he has to actively work to be perceived in a masculine manner, and be treated as a man within the structure of the society he lives in, which would almost always come automatically if he were cis (again, he's white, "straight", well off in the beginning of the series, and able bodied. these aspects should put him at an advantage he clearly doesn't have). While there aren't any particular examples, you can clearly tell that characters like House, Wilson, and Foreman really aren't being perceived in whatever way Chase is. He's almost treated like a woman in the context of the series, particularly by House. He's always being described as "pretty" (by everyone) and a lot of House's jabs come from this perception. And this is clearly something he's uncomfortable with. I believe if he were to be a closeted transfemme this would either ease into comfort or become more uncomfortable around season 6 when he does become much more visually masculine (buzz cut, stubble, etc). While he was in no means comfortable at this point (Cause, you know), it clearly isn't discomfort in his identity, it's the natural discomfort of being freshly divorced from a whirlwind marriage. His relationship with Cameron also highlights his transmasculinity. Obviously, Cameron has her dead ex husband. Chase struggles with the fact that Cameron will never view him in the same way as she did her ex husband, like he'll never be the same to her or even enough to her. Especially enough as a man. I think the choice to show Cameron's attachment to her ex through his sperm specifically is a very interesting choice. There's the easy route of going "haha get it he doesn't have his own sperm", which is valid, but sperm and using it to produce children was something that at the time was largely unique to men and traditional masculine gender roles. Showing Cameron keeping her ex's sperm not only conveys that she wouldn't view him as a good and adequate husband, but more specifically as a good and adequate man, which puts a serious strain on their relationship. The show could have just as easily used something else, like a ring, and would be just as cinematic. The choice of sperm specifcally is interesting to me. And killing Dibala, which leads Cameron to end their relationship, was another example of Chase's relationship with masculinity. Dibala tells Chase, who is clearly uncomfortable around him, that "real men stand up for their values", which leads to Chase killing him. And this still isn't enough for Cameron. His relationship with his father is another signifier of his gender. Clearly, his father doesn't view him as a son, going so far as to cut him out of the will. And his religious trauma again gives him a uniquely transmasc vibe, but I can't put my finger on it.

And I hate to bring this into it because I believe you don't need to look a certain way to be a gender, but yeah, he does have some pretty feminine traits physically (soft hair, baby face). But these traits do slowly disappear throughout the show, signifying him going further into his transition (although in reality Jesse Spencer is a cis man and this is just the natural aging process, however Chase is meant to be a few years older than Spencer). Also, Jesse Spencer is transphobic and headcanoning him as transmasc is, to me at least, a great way to reclaim the character, and I view it as fitting much better into the storyline and his character than him being transfemme (I do believe that only a small portion of the fandom actually does view him as a cis man). So yeah. I didn't mean to go on a total yapathon, nor did I mean to invalidate or be malicious to anyone with a different opinion. These are just my thoughts on the subject.

1. the character everyone gets wrong

Every time someone tries to tie canon characters in any way to the show counterparts an angel dies in Heaven. Which happens with... plenty of them, and it's probably one of the biggest source of getting most characters wrong. Not to be a snob, but watch something good for a change.

5. worst discord server and why

Not currently on discord, and I've seen some petty drama on some when I was. But what this question makes me think of is that one time I glimpsed a post in between folks who had an anti Targs discord or something like it, and other than the losercore of having a discord to be an anti in, there was some inside joke about being a "Tywin fucker" and I am just happy I would never be there.

7. what character did you begin to hate not because of canon but because how how the fandom acts about them?

Can't deal with a lot of characters that attract too obnoxious stanning, but it depends on how much I care on whether I take the "these people can pry them from my cold dead hands" or "not worth the trouble" stances. Jon catches shitty dudebro or shipping strays but he's in the first category and I'm pulling hard on my side of the rope. Characters like Sansa and Catelyn could be interesting in the complexity of being good aligning characters that are also meant to be critically appraised for gender and class scrutiny, and sometimes I attempt to touch them with a pole, but you dare even mention it and you get the "how dare you?" - not worth it ("Catelyn would be Leslie Knope if Martin let her HOW DARE YOU POINT OUT EDMURE CARES MORE" ok). I'm also trying to come back round to Dornish characters who unfortunately attract unsavoury crowds weaponising their ambiguous race for clout and online harassment apologia - the women in particular are worth it. I also used to love Brienne|Jaime|Braime but long story short here I wouldn't even care to get back. So not worth it.
