two main themes i got from rubysode

Mangrove kingdom in the style of Wolfwalkers!

I imagine they always have floating hair due to mangrove/void magic, and it gets even wilder when they do spells or feel strong emotions. I have animation brain and like to think of how certain characters can be portrayed visually. The wolfwalkers style feels very suiting to them: besides the wild magic themes, having them in sketchy lines shows them as free-spirited and reflects the unruly nature of mangrove roots. Plus, their interactions with ossha would show an opposite style (clean crisp lines, duller colors) to really set apart how different they are. This article goes in depth about how the movie used different art styles and it’s what I imagine mangrove vs. ossha would be like

Also! Wolfwalkers is one of my favourite movies of All Time and a huge inspiration for my art. Highly recommend
