A reference to season 1 Ruby! I believe they canonically shapeshifted to adapt to environments and could mimic physical traits of people

Phoenix — The Phoenix

The mythological bird who rose from it’s ashes to live anew. It can symbolize embracing an identity, becoming a new person, it also reminds me of how Rubies exist in different universes/timelines, and how they’re aware of meeting someone again “in another life”

Pictor — The Painter’s Easel

It’s usually a wooden frame that holds up a canvas. An artist tool to represent a very cool artist!

Reticulum — The Reticle

In reference to Acorn. A reticle is a measuring tool in optical devices (like a telescope, microscope, etc), and they work together :D both literally and thematically

An instrument to observe the greater universe. I remember one Acorn stream ages ago where I joined in the middle of a philosophical talk about learning, it made me realize how important it is to keep being curious and to keep making an effort to learn new things. A telescope helped us bridge the gap between curiosity and new information about things greater than ourselves

Microscopium — The Microscope

An instrument to observe tiny worlds within our own world. This strikes me as the type of curiosity about very niche topics you’d go down rabbit holes for, something I’m sure us neurodivergent people are very familiar with

Caelum — The Chisel

A tool that sculptors use. I think it’s fitting to represent what an awesome builder Acorn is: sculpting details big and small in a block world

Horologium — The Pendulum Clock

In reference to Ruby. Since Ruby already has a clock and is the Time Sibling, I thought Acorn could have something to represent him in solidarity

I’ve got a headcanon that when Trog goes into god mode to create specific islands for the start of a season, they are fully an amalgamation of triangles and polygons with code that glows with a familiar green, and code that blends in with the sky. It’s ever shifting. Every movement is a domino effect of fractals

The islands are brought into existence as large polygons, grey and solid. At Trog’s command, these structures warp with more polygons— a cube turns into a jagged boulder turns into a spiky growth turns into a tree. The right colors bleed in as specific shapes get smaller and smaller. Down to the finest pixel, down to the atom: it’s still triangles. Nature’s strongest shape is a triangle. It makes up the whole world here
