Exactly!! Also if you're autistic and claim that it's because of sensory issues that you need to shave, I don't think that's the real reason too. As also an autistic woman who was forced to shaved since puberty (like around 10 y/o). It's mostly because you don't know how it feels/looks to have an adult human body. And as we are creatures of habit, who hate change, it's more likely that it's the reason. Especially if we have been trained to do so since early ages. I hated it, it hurt so much at every step of the way, and all the process of removing the hair is WAY more intrusive and sensory harmful than doing nothing and learning to see/feels how our body is meant to be. There is NO WAY that having to putt a cream with a weird texture, to let it sit for minutes, then to Scrape your skin with it, to feel the texture of the dead skin ripped off, the dead hair mixt with the weird cream is something that you seek because it's feels amazing to do so. I've got nausea just trying to describe the process. And this is the less painful option! But it is painful for us autistic person because of our sensory issues. All the other options consist in ripping off your hair, which are tight to our nervous system, EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. OF. THEM. is tight to our nervous system. It's like torture. And we already have a different, way more sensitive nervous system. So it literally triggers our brain into meltdown/shutdown because it's perceived as a threat for us, as our brains is more reactive to it. Like there's NO WAY that you're a seeking all of this because it's an amazing feeling! NO WAY ! So I can understand that's it's difficult for you to change your habit, it's difficult for everyone to do so but it's harder for autistic people.
(can't reblog this)

Why aren't autistic men removing their body hair? Why don't they complain about these same sensory issues?
It's not that I don't believe you, I just need you to understand that it is the removal process (shaving/waxing) that is the source of the discomfort. It changes the tip of the hair, and makes it feel coarse on skin. Many women started removing their body hair when they were very young, so they don't know any different and believe that body hair is inherently uncomfortable.
It doesn't make sense for body hair to inherently be uncomfortable, and somehow only to women. Men AND WOMEN!!! have grown body hair since forever, and removing it is a recent phenomenon. There is no documentation of it bothering people before then.

the reason it's difficult to argue abortion with anti abortionists is because for the statement "women's right to bodily autonomy is more important than a stranger's life" to make sense to you, you have to already believe that
women are full human beings (even when they're not wives or mothers)
women have zero moral obligation to sacrifice themselves or produce offspring for society
there is no divine purpose to female anatomy and the purpose of a woman's body is entirely determined by her own self.
women have an unconditional right to defend themselves from violence and suffering of any kind
they legit cannot wrap their heads around that

how trans activism and feminism contradict each other, example #30 570:
Tumblr media
yeah, why have woman-centered health facilities? doesn't help anyone, right? so stupid, right? must be a result of patriarchy to have a care unit specifically for women, right??
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
but yeah, go on and tell me how the sex binary is just a social construct and how actually, there is no need for a differenciation in female- and male-specific care

Things Biden and the Democrats did, this week #10
March 15-22 2024
The EPA announced new emission standards with the goal of having more than half of new cars and light trucks sold in the US be low/zero emission by 2032. One of the most significant climate regulations in the nation’s history, it'll eliminate 7 billion tons of CO2 emissions over the next 30 years. It's part of President Biden's goal to cut greenhouse gas emissions in half by 2030 on the road to eliminating them totally by 2050.
President Biden canceled nearly 6 Billion dollars in student loan debt. 78,000 borrowers who work in public sector jobs, teachers, nurses, social workers, firefighters etc will have their debt totally forgiven. An additional 380,000 public service workers will be informed that they qualify to have their loans forgiven over the next 2 years. The Biden Administration has now forgiven $143.6 Billion in student loan debt for 4 million Americans since the Supreme Court struck down the original student loan forgiveness plan last year.
Under Pressure from the administration and Democrats in Congress Drugmaker AstraZeneca caps the price of its inhalers at $35. AstraZeneca joins rival Boehringer Ingelheim in capping the price of inhalers at $35, the price the Biden Admin capped the price of insulin for seniors. The move comes as the Federal Trade Commission challenges AstraZeneca’s patents, and Senator Bernie Sanders in his role as Democratic chair of the Senate Health Committee investigates drug pricing.
The Department of Justice sued Apple for being an illegal monopoly in smartphones. The DoJ is joined by 16 state attorneys general. The DoJ accuses Apple of illegally stifling competition with how its apps work and seeking to undermining technologies that compete with its own apps.
The EPA passed a rule banning the final type of asbestos still used in the United States. The banning of chrysotile asbestos (known as white asbestos) marks the first time since 1989 the EPA taken action on asbestos, when it passed a partial ban. 40,000 deaths a year in the US are linked to asbestos
President Biden announced $8.5 billion to help build advanced computer chips in America. Currently America only manufactures 10% of the world's chips and none of the most advanced next generation of chips. The deal with Intel will open 4 factories across 4 states (Arizona, Ohio, New Mexico, and Oregon) and create 30,000 new jobs. The Administration hopes that by 2030 America will make 20% of the world's leading-edge chips.
President Biden signed an Executive Order prioritizing research into women's health. The order will direct $200 million into women's health across the government including comprehensive studies of menopause health by the Department of Defense and new outreach by the Indian Health Service to better meet the needs of American Indian and Alaska Native Women. This comes on top of $100 million secured by First Lady Jill Biden from ARPA-H.
Democratic Senators Bob Casey, Tammy Baldwin, Sherrod Brown, and Jacky Rosen (all up for re-election) along with Elizabeth Warren, Cory Booker, and Sheldon Whitehouse, introduced the "Shrinkflation Prevention Act" The Bill seeks to stop the practice of companies charging the same amount for products that have been subtly shrunk so consumers pay more for less.
The Department of Transportation will invest $45 million in projects that improve Bicyclist and Pedestrian Connectivity and Safety
The EPA will spend $77 Million to put 180 electric school buses onto the streets of New York City This is part of New York's goal to transition its whole school bus fleet to electric by 2035.
The Senate confirmed President Biden's nomination of Nicole Berner to the Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Berner has served as the general counsel for America's largest union, SEIU, since 2017 and worked in their legal department since 2006. On behalf of SEIU she's worked on cases supporting the Affordable Care Act, DACA, and against the Defense of Marriage act and was part of the Fight for 15. Before working at SEIU she was a staff attorney at Planned Parenthood. Berner's name was listed by the liberal group Demand Justice as someone they'd like to see on the Supreme Court. Berner becomes one of just 5 LGBT federal appeals court judges, 3 appointed by Biden. The Senate also confirmed Edward Kiel and Eumi Lee to be district judges in New Jersey and Northern California respectively, bring the number of federal judges appointed by Biden to 188.

I have quite a few midwifery and birth emergency books on my bookshelf. I went to midwifery school for a time. Both were pro-choice authors/institutions. And they never, EVER recommended abortion for pre-eclampsia or most other emergencies!
There are very, VERY few cases where abortion is recommended as an option or only solution to a pregnancy complication. I swear, pro-aborts just look up a list of pregnancy complications, and, because of the "abortion is healthcare!" mantra, just assume abortion can be used to fix those problems. We have GOT to move away from the lie that abortion is the foundation of women's health: IT IS NOT!
What info and sourves do you have on eclampsia? Currently discussing that with someone who's pro abortion to save the mother and I want to bring up the alternatives. Also thanks for your blog. It's one of my favorites and I really appreciate the activism you do ❤
If someone uses eclampsia (or pre-eclampsia) to justify abortion, you know they don’t know what they’re talking about.
Eclampsia occurs in late pregnancy, almost always after viability. Which means the quickest, easiest, safest solution is delivering the baby, either by inducing labor or c-section. C-section is fastest.
An abortion in this case would simply add the extra step of killing the baby before delivering, which does nothing to protect the mother.
A classmate of mine from college had pre-eclampsia with her first pregnancy and had to deliver at 27 weeks. Baby spent time in the NICU, but is a healthy happy little girl today. Mom went on to have at least 3 other pregnancies (one miscarriage and 2 more live births). Because she had pre-eclampsia with her first pregnancy, she got high-risk pregnancy care with each of her subsequent pregnancies as soon as she knew she was pregnant. Consequently her other children (besides the one who died before birth) were able to be carried much closer to term before being delivered.
Proper medical care and in most cases early delivery is the answer to pre-eclampsia and eclampsia, not abortion.

hey by the way using Always brand pads and tampons will probably make your period nausea and cramping infinitely worse. Always is the worst and those chemicals are going to hurt you.
i recently switched to L. brand pads and they're not perfect in a chemical sense but the nausea and cramps have been practically non-existent for my last three periods. i feel infinitely better and honestly they're way more comfortable.
