Have a fun themed playlist for the 4th! I originally made this when Trump was running the first time, but I like to bring it back out whenever things are a little too patriotic for my tastes.

Lakota rapper Frank Waln's song for Palestine. He's been one of the few people I follow on social media who consistently defends Palestine.
Here's some commentary from him regarding a trip he took to Palestine, comparing the conditions of refugee camps to reservations here in the US:

Hidden histories. Meet the Jews of Thessaloniki
Tumblr media
"As you walk the streets of Thessaloniki today, it’s hard to imagine the time back in the 17th century when Greece’s second city was known as “The Mother of Israel” and Jews made up 68 per cent of the population. But there’s still plenty to tempt visitors, both those trying to retrace its Jewish heritage as well as those enticed by this attractive seafront spot.
Visiting on a cruise through the Aegean, aboard the Viking Sea, I’d introduced the mainly non-Jewish audience to Thessaloniki’s past as part of an onboard talk — resuming my career as a cruise ship lecturer, a return to the path I’d followed since my retirement as Director of the Anne Frank Trust, following a two-year pause during the pandemic.
And the chance to explore the city once known as Salonika was a highlight. Thessaloniki’s well-known 15th century landmark, the waterfront White Tower at the southern edge of the old city, once marked the historic boundary of the Jewish quarter and it’s an ideal starting point to explore."
Tumblr media
Two Greek Jewish boxers from Thessaloniki, who survived Nazi concentration camps after being forced to beat other prisoners in the ring, are featured in the podcast “Holocaust Histories.”
The five episodes highlight different boxers from across Europe who were in the prime of their lives and careers in the 1930s and 1940s, but whose dreams were shattered by Hitler’s army.
Episode Four focuses on Salamo Arouch and Jacko Razon, who were born and raised in Thessaloniki, which had the largest Jewish community in Greece. The two men, both Jewish, trained together at a boxing gym; Arouch eventually became a successful fighter while Razon turned his attention to soccer.
Tumblr media
Salamo Arouch was the Middleweight Champion of Greece, the All-Balkans Middleweight Champion and survivor of the Auschwitz Concentration Camp.
A Greek-Jewish boxer, Arouch came from a family of fishermen. Salamo, his brother Avram, and his father, also worked as stevedores.
By 1939, Salamo had a 24-0 (24 knockouts) record with a traditional style of boxing: jabbing and crossing. He became known in Greece as “The Ballet Dancer” due to his “fancy footwork.”

The canal has been dangerously ignored. Each year of the Republic, our family have reported to Capital that there were silted channels and weakened dykes in our neighborhood. My husband and Maida's father have just interviewed the present President. They were received politely, but their conclusion is that nothing will be done.

Lakota rapper Frank Waln took a trip to Palestine, where he was shocked at the similarities between reservations in the US and the refugee camps in Palestine. Many Natives making the journey say the same thing. To say that zionism is land back is not only a bastardization of colonialist history, but a slap in the face to Native American people.
It's finals week so I don't have time for a long post (I have many ideas for after finals)
Anyways
Zionism is "land back".
That is all for now, thanks for hearing me out.

Wczoraj miałam największy binge w swoim życiu.
Zjadlam 6 tostow, 4 porcje lodow, 3 ciastka, 2 jogurty i ziemniaki z kotletem.

If its not an uncomfortable topic, can i please request hcs for Killer (if you dont do stuff with him dont worry about it) and katakuri if they accidentally hurt their S/O? Not anything fatal, but accidentally putting them in harms way or bringing them harm and how they would react to that. Again if this is too much I completely understand (also sorry for requesting two things i just really like how you write!!)
DONT ALOLOGIZE !!! im hungry for requests and you r just requesting my favorite characters ever ... send as many as youd like :]!
«─────────── « ⋅ʚ♡ɞ⋅ » ───────────»
Killer
▸ Killer's in pretty good control of his strength. I can't really see him accidentally hurting a partner beyond squishing them in bed.
▸ But lets say hypothetically the two of you get into an argument, and while you turn to waln away Killer grabs your arm really, really harshly. He was stressed, tensions running high- and let his grip get out of control. He instantly releases your bicep, guilt replacing any leftover anger or resentment in his tone.
▸ Killer is really, really good at calming a situation down quickly. He knows he fucked up big time by hurting you and letting his emotions get the best of him, so he sets out to fix his mistake.
▸ He allows you space, while still taking care of you. A plate of food sat outside your door when you don't come to dinner, your favorite snacks and/or beverages always stocked in the kitchen, etc.
▸ He waits on you to approach first. Hes more than happy to sort this situation out with you once you've calmed down. overall 9/10 handling of the situation. We love the one (1) emotionally mature man on that godforsaken ship.
Katakuri
▸ Katakuri is 16 feet of pure muscle, decorated by spikes and stiff leather. It is not an "if" but a "when" he will accidentally hurt you.
▸ He always feels so guilty. So guilty. He already views himself as a monster, what would he do if you saw him like that too?
▸ Instantly backs off. He can't stand to see you in pain, and he'd normally eradicate anything that would dare lay a single hand on you. This situation, however, is a wee bit complicated.
▸ Loooots of emotional turmoil and buried insecurities are addressed after these moments. You have to take the first step and reach out after an accident.
▸ He's very cooperative once you get him wrangled. He mostly stays away for your comfort, not his own cowardice. He's always a bit nervous, though. How can he not be?
▸ Katakuri takes special care to ensure you always feel safe by his side, but doesn't know the best course of action to take when it comes to dealing with hurting you. 7/10 could work on emotional venerablilty.
