Started my new blog, Ruskeat Tytöt on a whim, because I got sick of waiting for brown girls to be represented in Finnish media like normal people. 

Turns out, someone else was waiting, too. With almost 1000 daily visitors, it earned the title of “a recommended blog”, awarded by  the editorial team of lily.fi, the portal on which Ruskeat Tytöt is published.

Since the blog was started in February, 2015, I have already been giving lectures and interviews on topics such as gender, race, class, motherhood and media representations of these concepts.

This year, in collaboration with Macwell Creative, I was in charge of coordinating the entire renewal process of the A-Clinic Foundation's website www.varjomaailma.fi, which is targeted at children who suffer from parental substance misuse.

Varjomaailma.fi is not just an informative website, but a unique, interactive forum firmly based on methods used in face-to-face child protection social work. More info here.
