i got sick to death of my pothos today so i took her out of the pot and pruned her vines to half their length and cut her roots in half and separated all of the individual plants and re-potted her.

one is very cutesy, hyper femme egirl. she's been here for a little while. she wants things related to lovesick, gorey, and video game themes! she would like names, pronouns, and things she would enjoy.

the one is a bit confusing. they're not a human, they mimic humans. they don't talk often. they're very much connected to liminal horror. they want names and things to do. neutral names preferably.

Before she donned the suit, she checked to make sure the emergency repair kit was attached to the belt, but she didn't inventory the contents. The first aid package was missing, but there was still a partial roll of tape. She used it all, wrapping it around her leg and the knife. She held her breath, waiting for the emergency signal to silence and the suit to stabilize.

All she had to do was get home before she bled to death. Or ran out of life support.

Bryony closed her eyes. If she continued to move, she couldn't feel it. She'd never taken an untethered EVA, but she'd trained for it. Six years ago, on her first trip to the moon, before she'd decided if she wanted a life so far from home. She opened her eyes and scanned in all directions. Red drifted in the void, unsuited. She was out of reach, but it was too late even if Bryony could reach her.

"You're one of the sweetest people I've ever met," he said. "It's just...you aren't sweet like strawberries. You're sweet like blackberries. If someone isn't careful, or if they're too rough, they get thorns. But those thorns are protecting all the sweetness." 

"I guess you're strawberries?"

He shrugged and nestled close to her. "I am what I am."

Vevina considered that. She wanted to be upset or insulted, but he didn't mean it that way. "I could be your thorns," she offered. 

Cedric hugged her close. "I know."

From the high ground, Zaya could see nothing but an endless sea of flowers. They waved gently, an ocean of violet, orange, pink, and teal, and some errant waves in the distance betrayed that they weren’t alone. The memory of a road cut a broad shadow through the landscape, and something big moved alongside it. Distances were difficult to estimate on the steppe, but she guessed it would arrive before dark.

A long-nailed hand drew aside a wall, revealing a tall woman with hair like sunset over a forest fire. She swept Zaya with an amber gaze. "You have treated kopaulinok venom?"

"Don't think it needs treating," Zaya said. "Just waiting, yeah? It's blood loss and waiting infection for a worry now."

The air around Aleksani snapped with power, like the moment before a lightning strike on the mountains. "He screamed until I put him out."

"Those marks," another said. "They mean, they mean hero, don't they?"

"Ba hashur," Zaya said. "Close enough." Her tattoos told of her whole life to those who knew how to read them. She hadn't expected as much once she left Castravandt. She clicked her tongue for Scavats again. He came this time. "I have a map. There was a road. In my lifetime." She glanced around. Hard to tell ages in the dark. She didn't think any of them were children. "In your lifetimes."

Instead of doing the annoying macho man thing, they just started aggressively flirting with each other instead to fuck with her because they knew she was into that. Fucking. Gold.

A holiday about love isn't exactly enjoyable when you have no one to spend it with. The loneliness and desperation for affection can lead to crazy things, like wanting a kiss from a stranger. Although, when Vevina gives a kiss instead of receiving one, she didn't expect it to lead to all the happiness she'd receive from a variety of skeletons. Not to mention, the crazy, and rather hilarious, misadventures that occur on their path to cheesy and tooth rotting romance.

This fanfic is the 5th of 7 that I'm writing on AO3. It currently has 5 chapters and is still ongoing. I don't make the boys innocent by any means.

"Something might be possessing him. Or..." The Doctor's eyes scanned the rows of drugs. Could the pharmacist be sampling his own stock? It was possible but that didn't feel right, either. Not when he looked so afraid. Could it be a substance that was brought to this small town by a force he'd yet to cross paths with? Most likely. Those that existed within the universe often liked to play games with humankind and had a fondness for tormenting even the smallest of communities. They got a real kick out of knowing there was very little help available in a place like this compared to a city like London — it wasn't like UNIT was nearby to jump into action.

A hand held up to both Mr. Watkins and the woman. Calm. He needed calm. He needed to think. "Both of you stay where you are. Mr. Watkins, was it? I'm going to scan you with a funny-looking device I have. Don't worry, it's not going to harm you. I just need to know what you're experiencing right now." And whether he was poisoned.

"Miss— I don't know your name, I need you to step away from the medicines back there. We don't know if one of those is the cause of this. There's a chance they could be tampered with." The Doctor had seen enough schemes and plots in his time to know that anything was possible and to not rule out a single suspicion.

With Sonic Screwdriver in hand, he was able to scan the man in one quick swish of his hand. As the device sorted through its database to try and find a match for anything, the Doctor looked at Vevina.

"You know this man, then? Does he have family?"

Although she flinched at the man's scolding, Vevina stood her ground -- and lingered by the door, although she looked upon the scene with great concern.

"I--I know, I'm sorry! But what if you needed help, too?" Not that she felt she could do anything, but she could always scream! And more than that -- "I promise I'll leave. Just let me run behind the counter and get my mother's medicine!"

So long as the prescription had been filled, it would be in the bins labeled alphabetically just behind where the chemist had been. As the thought crossed her mind, she got a better look at the man whom the other was helping. "Mr. Watkins!" Oh, why did he look like that? "What...his eyes, they're...they're not like that normally!"
