I can't believe I failed to bring him home AGAIN.

Once again the fact that he still hadn't fulfilled his promise to Sakura, his promise to Sasuke, had him losing sleep. No matter how hard he trained he just never caught up. He could never convince him to come home. All he cared about was killing Itachi...

Well maybe it was time Naruto switched tactics, instead of looking for Sasuke- maybe he confronts Itachi instead.

In the dead of night Naruto had packed his things and left the village with just a note for Grandma Tsunade that said "Don't worry about me Grandma! I'll be back home soon!" with a little smiley face and a peace sign. He knew she wouldn't sanction this, and he didn't want a team. This was something he had to do on his own.

For a week now he'd been looking for the Akatski member. No luck, naturally, he was hunting Itatchi of all people. Didn't mean he'd stop. Didn't mean he'd quit. He would NEVER give up on Sasuke. NEVER. If he had to look for fifty years he would.... but right now he was tired and needed some rest.

Camped out by a fire, Naruto stared into the flames as he ate some crackers. Thinking hard about what he wanted to say if he did find the older Uchiha.

As much as he wasn't about to go against the orders given to him, there was still that annoyance festering around his form as he continued to search the streets for any signs of where Garth had even been. It was almost as though he'd just vanished - but this was the last place his tracker had went off, and now he stood there holding his phone in one hand, scrolling through the contents as he tried to think on what he was going to report back to the boss. Did he really just run and stay away this time? It would kind of make sense, even if it was rather pointless. Mori would have his son dragged back one way or another. "...who is this?", he frowned as he read a few messages from a name he'd never heard of before, which was rather impressive given how much he stalked Garth's activities these days. Glorified babysitter...

Frowning, he hit call on the name, listening as the phone ran out on the other end. Maybe this Prudence might know at least something that Chuuya didn't.

"We're trying not to get killed by the moblins?" he suggested. "Or, if you mean why we're sneaking around in the first place, we're trying to get my horse back."

He glanced over at the Gerudo woman, one of the few he'd ever seen. He'd heard they'd lock him in a cell if he tried to get into the fortress, and not a lot of them wandered out here to the field, at least, that he was aware of.

"There's three of them between us and the horse. I don't know if we can do this completely quiet. I take it you're good with a bow?" He almost phrased it as if it was a statement, not a question.

AN: My nightly daydreams led me to Soldier Boy this time. 😂

I was imagining the Break Me Down-verse for this one (shortly after Checkerboard), but it can also be general Soldier Boy x Reader.

Word Count: 650

Tags/Warnings: 18+ only to be safe. Fluff, innuendo, Sleepy Ben, implied smut.

You traced down his back with light, trailing fingers.

Lying next to him in bed, with scraps of moonlight filtering through the closed blinds in the window as your only guide, your mind was still drifting even though you should’ve been sleeping.

You couldn’t help yourself.  

You drew invisible patterns across his bare skin. Ben was warm, always warm, even though the AC was making the room almost frigid. You knew it was the ever-present radiator in his chest that made him your own personal heater.

You propped your head up better with an elbow on your pillow as you laid on your side. You then let your hand drift over every dip of muscle between his shoulders, every small freckle you knew just from memory, then down and down his spine.

You flirted with the idea of inching down the sheets, where his bare ass would greet you. From there, you supposed you'd decide what wandering direction your hand took next.

“If you don’t go to sleep,” his deep voice rumbled, “I’m gonna wake up and fuck you again.”

You bit your lip against a giggle, but you didn’t quite succeed.

“It sounds like you’re already awake,” you remarked.

Ben grumbled incoherently in response. He was tired, you knew. He’d just come back from a week-long mission with Butcher and Co. for Supe Affairs. Hence the long night you two spent catching up.

If you were honest, you were still tingling between your legs. Your thighs and ass were a little sore too. Likely they’d be sporting a few fingerprints tomorrow.

You didn't mind it so much though. You two now had a safe word for that kind of thing.

You smirked, sifting your fingers through his hair. It was getting long again. Maybe you’d trim it for him tomorrow, since you both had the weekend off.  

Your hand meandered down the back of his neck, just to begin dragging your nails up and down the slope of his back.

“What does that feel like to you?” you asked curiously. You often wondered how much his invulnerability affected the way he felt things, especially the way you touched him.

“Like a tease,” he muttered.

You applied some more pressure with your nails. Not the way you’d scored his back about an hour ago, when he’d had his sinful mouth all over your body, but enough to be more than a tease. Enough that it would’ve left an angry, red trail on your own “fragile” human skin.

Still, you weren’t able to leave any marks on him. Just a faint whiteness of pressure against his skin that soon returned to normal when you moved your hand away.

“How about that?” you asked.

“Like you’re playing with fucking fire,” Ben said, though you heard the smirk in his voice. “Go to sleep.”

You smiled too.

“We'll pick this up in the morning,” he made sure to add, though he was already halfway back to slumber, from the sound of it.

“Oh, I’m sure,” you said, laughing lightly. You leaned over and pressed a soft kiss against his shoulder. “G’night, babe.”

“Mhmm,” he responded.

He groaned deep in his throat and turned over onto his back. Your smile remained as your body tensed in anticipation, but all he did was slide an arm under your waist and curl you towards him, trapping you against his chest. His hand splayed against your lower back, heavy and warm.

His lips brushed your hair away from your forehead and lingered there. He closed his eyes and let out a deep exhale. You did the same, relaxing against him. Your hand came to rest against the steady thrum of his heart.

Moments like this with him still managed to surprise you…but admittedly, less and less the longer you lived and shared together.

A girl could get used to it though.

It seemed as though all types of people appeared within the parlour of the express, when he would have thought that the Trailblazers would be rather strict about who they allowed to just walk around their beloved train like this. That though, was nothing compared to the surprise he'd received when he'd first walked onboard himself - only to come face to face with individuals he thought he'd never have to see again. One, whose life he'd more or less had a hand in helping to destroy - and the other...who shouldn't be able to still be of this world. This was the reason as to why he now approached the ex bellboy. He felt as though there had to be something that Garth was keeping hidden, but getting the boy alone had taken quite a while.

My Interpretation of Fell!Ink!

Inspired by a conversation about fell variants with friends of mine. We really weren’t happy with the most popular depiction of Fell!Ink this fandom produced, so I took it upon myself to make my own version!

Some facts about this design and my interpretation’s personality:

The first colours this version experienced were yellow and red instead of yellow and green

The grey undershirt is inspired by the meaning of Ink’s white undershirt in his original design. Where that symbolized the emptiness and lack of soul he tries to hide but always shows through, this shirt symbolizes how fell!ink is even MORE morally grey than his canon counterpart (somehow).

The red splotches on their pants are just paint, but Ink likes that it looks like blood.. in a “15 year old on deviantart making their tragic wolf demon OC” way

Is quite fond of more “angsty” AUs

His scarf producing ink blobs at the top was inspired by how canon fell sans’s jacket sort of “flames up” when using his magic

The darker black colour (I refuse to use pure black) is, on top of being just an Underfell Colour™️, because of how ink itself is primarily black

The “scary face” fangs are permanently visible (it’s an intimidation tactic)

I liked the idea of his scarf going from a lighter to a darker colour instead of a darker to a lighter colour this time. In fact I’ve inverted quiet a few visual elements of the design in that way, most notably the direction of the v-shape on his over shirt thing

This Ink is a lot more open and upfront about seeing everything and everyone as nothing more than fictional characters, and as a result doesn’t really care about anyone else. Only looking out for themselves in such a “kill or be killed” multiverse. Even canon Ink cares more than this guy does.

Still a mischievous prankster, though his pranks are much more mean spirited. He’s an intentional jerk instead of canon Ink’s more unintentional jerkiness.

Much more quick to jump to physical fights when encountering a threat, but still doesn’t go out of his way to be unnecessarily violent. His scarf is torn because of those more frequent fights.

Though not pictured, his tongue is black instead of rainbow. But he still has the rainbow blush and happy freckles! (will not let anyone see them though)

Is still Not Evil

The Delta Rune on the tip of Fountain Pen Broomie (Fountie?) is just a result of that being how I draw Broomie normally 😅. You can change that part of the design if you’d like
