Tips for Crafting the Perfect Vegan and Vegetarian Ramen
Follow these tips to create mouth-watering plant-based ramen at home:
1. Start with a Flavorful Vegetable Broth
A rich, savory broth is the foundation of great ramen. Begin with vegetable stock and enhance the flavor with ingredients like soy sauce, miso paste, garlic, or ginger. A dash of sesame oil can bring an extra layer of depth and complexity to the broth, giving it an authentic, satisfying taste.
2. Pack in Fresh Vegetables
Fresh veggies like spinach, bok choy, mushrooms, and carrots add both texture and essential nutrients to your ramen. To boost the protein content, include tofu, tempeh, or edamame, creating a balanced and wholesome meal.
3. Add Some Heat
For spice enthusiasts, personalize your ramen by adding chili paste, sriracha, or Korean gochujang for a fiery kick. Adjust the spice level to match your preference and enjoy a bold, dynamic flavor.
4. Garnish for Extra Flavor
Don’t forget the garnishes! Top your ramen with sesame seeds, green onions, or nori (seaweed) strips to enhance both flavor and texture. These small additions elevate the visual appeal and overall experience of your dish.
These easy tips will help you elevate your plant-based ramen, making it delicious, nutritious, and satisfying.

The vegetarian ramen is a unique take on the popular Japanese noodle dish. The vegetarian ramen has a meaty texture that's made from soy, wheat gluten, and vegan protein. It's seasoned with sea salt and black pepper. The soup is made from vegetables and rice, and it has a light broth. The vegan ramen comes in two flavors: shiitake mushroom and vegetable, you can buy it from Rightfoods.com.

Note
have just discovered egg ramen and it is so good and filling for something so cheap! i usually cook it in the microwave in one minute intervals:
break the ramen packet up (so it fits better in the bowl and so the noodles aren't too long) and microwave for 1 minute
stir in flavor packet and crack in raw egg (DO NOT STIR), microwave for 1 minute
if you want, add frozen vegetables (like chopped carrots, peas, or corn) and microwave for 1 more minute
you can microwave more until the egg is fully cooked/until the noodles are to your preferred softness, but TAKE BOWL OUT every additional 30-60 seconds so it doesn't boil over
takes about 6-7 minutes altogether and takes more spoons than like. a pb&j, but less spoons than a "real" meal
🥚🍜
Edit: some people have had bad experiences microwaving eggs, so please look in the notes and use caution!
