Garbage Day — As an internet user, you are affected by the state of the internet — I’ve long read this newsletter for its analysis of culture through the lens of internet ephemera, but in recent weeks Garbage Day has also become one of the very best sources of breaking news and analysis about the ongoing coup. Even if you subscribe to nothing else in this e-mail, you are certain to discover a variety of journalists and news publishers via this publication (many of the independent journalists linked below I originally found via a link in Garbage Day.)

404 Media — As a reader of my work, you are affected by US anti-pornography laws, which limit freedom of sexual expression online — Sam Cole (ex-senior editor for Motherboard) at the independent news publication 404 Media does the best reporting on news related to these topics of any individual journalist I'm aware of. 404 Media is an internet and technology news platform that was co-founded by four journalists: a writer, two senior editors, and the editor-in-chief of Motherboard.

What the Fuck Just Happened Today? — As a person who lives in the world right now, you are, unfortunately, affected to some extent by US politics — WTFJHT delivers an extremely lucid, concise, once-per-day summary of US political news.

Law Dork — As a person affected to some extent by US politics, it is in your interest to understand US law. Chris Geidner (US Supreme Court expert and ex-BuzzFeed legal editor) is the best source I can recommend for informative, detailed reporting + analysis of, in particular, LGBTQ+ political and legal issues in US news.

Erin in the Morning — Erin Reed (trans rights activist and ex-digital director for TheAmerican Independent) is one of the best sources for all news regarding the fight for trans rights in the US; in-depth coverage of the wave of anti-trans legislation and how people are fighting back. Very difficult and vitally important work.

Notes on the Crises — Nathan Tankus (economist and self-taught monetary policy expert.) This is a finance-focused publication that has pivoted to full-time coverage of Elon Musk's activities within the treasury. It has been one of the first places to break news of Musk's activities and has been cited in the lawsuits against him.

Popular Information — Judd Legum (founder of the now-defunct ThinkProgress.) Highly influential investigative reporting; also publishes the newly-minted Musk Watch, focused on Elon Musk’s activities.

Public Notice — Aaron Rupar (ex-Vox journalist.) Notable reporting on the activities of the US right wing for a progressive audience.

WIRED — Believe it or not, the tech-focused magazine WIRED has been consistently publishing what is universally considered to be some of the best reporting on all breaking news WRT Elon Musk’s ongoing bureaucratic coup.

They don't have IDs, money, or anyplace to stay, and after getting badly injured in the fight Danny's ice core has put him in a semi cryogenic stasis, leaving the rest of Team Phantom to fend for themselves while taking care of him. After two months of theft, avoiding the authorities, and sometimes doing a little vigilantism of their own, Team Phantom pissed off the wrong group of criminals by stealing a vial of Lazarus water. Team Batman is called to rescue them, as well as finally figure out what this new ground of rogues is doing in Gotham, and how to get them back home.

The demo is finally here! Part 2 clocks the demo at around 238.000 words. I can finally breathe a sigh of relief now that it's out. I can now go back to the prologue where I will begin rewriting/updating and just polishing everything before Chapter 3. To do that, I am asking for the favor of sending any and all bug reports in the entire demo to the google form. It's my makeshift method until I recruit beta testers, which will be happening some time during my rewrite.

It's best if you start from the beginning (i'm sorry). The errors from the demo are still there since I figured rewriting will fix that anyway, and there is one persistent error that I decided to just add a temporary choice near the end just for those who want to see the scene if, for some reason, the variables don't set.

✮ Part 2 is 60K words and it is NOT its own chapter, which means it does not have a full chapter arc. It's the second part of the chapter so it would help to read it as such. With part 2, Chapter 2 will complete at 144,000 words.

✮ What to expect:

Write and prepare for your first performance.

Be forced to stage a scene *ahem.*

Attend an episode viewing party.

See a familiar face!

Soooo a bit of an update post,

Sorry for not posting y'all, internet is still out. Gangle's and Z's reveals are done and Kingr's on it's way.

On another note, would Harlequin one-shots for my showtime one-shot collection be something y'all would wanna read? Those would range from non-canon, to soft-canon and I already have some ideas cooking up.

it's been...a while-

So lets get some stuff cleared up!

-Why did the blog enter hiatus?

Sumarizing everything, trying to keep up with a daily post shedule, college, familly matters and drawing a comic with no experience was, for a lack of a better term, a no good idea.

it drained me emotionaly and physically, so thats why i dropped the blog and took a very long break

-So what now?

I started working on polishing the AU, writing everything down, fleshing out the story and characters, a LOT of redesings as my art skill improved quite a bit over the last few months, and i am slowly working on having a completed and polished AU

However some things will change, i realized i am simply not built for a long term comic, my irl life is crazy busy, and honestly- its just not for me! so that project will close for good

i'll still post smaller comics here and there when i have the chance, but story beats will be mostly through info posts and general drawings

The ask box will be open again, however i will not be responding in character for quite a while, feel free to ask direct questions about the AU though!

Howdy, folks!

Hope y'all had a great Pride Month, and good luck to those who are jumping into the Art Fight fray. It's July 1st, which means Yeehawgust is just a month away. 🤠 This is just a quick update to let y'all know Yeehawgust will ride again in 2024. Keep your eyes open around the middle of July for this year's prompt list!

In the meantime, this blog'll be doing a bit of catchup with posts that have been made sometime between the end of last year's event and now.

When I was first learning how to write, I carried over various lessons from my experience of learning to play an instrument. In music, when you're always stumbling over a particular passage within a piece of music, you isolate that passage and practice it on its own until you can play it fluently. I have never struggled with writing descriptive prose and dialogue, but the skill of nailing the dramatic beats of a narrative was foreign to me, so I figured out a way to isolate that skill and practice it.

Today on Patreon: I ramble disconnectedly about outlining, how other authors do it wrong, and my drafting process (+ an update on A Companion in Vice!)

Danny Fenton was being haunted. Annoyingly, that wasn’t at all unusual. Danny was sadly used to being haunted. One could even claim, if one was being pedantic, that Danny haunted himself. Sure, since Danny had moved away from Amity Park and the mess his life had been there, the haunting were a lot less frequent, but they still happened from time to time. The thing was, is this haunting was different. Different in a way that made Danny worried about the ghost and their well-being.
