(boyfriend, girlfriend, partner, etc.) Elisa: About three weeks after we became official. Suki: ... Very shortly after we became official. Elisa: Did you? Suki: Yes... just never around anyone.

Elisa: Winter. It's the only time Suki won't grumble about being cuddled around people. Suki: Also winter. Because it's pretty. Elisa: Are you sure it's not the cuddles? Suki: ... Yes. Elisa: Uh-huh. (Doesn't believe her.)

Elisa: Probably when she came over to help keep Cagney calm when it was storming and I was out on duty. Suki: The first time I laid eyes on her. I mean look at her. How could I not have loved her right away?

(boyfriend, girlfriend, partner, etc.) Wyll: On the exact two week anniversary of when we first started dating. Wyll: I called her my girlfriend, and she turned cherry red. It was actually rather adorable. Wyll: She still blushes a little whenever I call her my girlfriend. Rodani: It was... well, actually accidentally. The day after we started dating. Rodani: I just casually called him my partner, because we had been hunting partners for so long so it was just second nature.

♡ four seasons ; which seasons do you and your f/o like the most? Wyll: The spring. I love how Rodani just comes to life with everything else. Rodani: The summer. It just feels nice to be in the sun.

Wyll: When she told me, in her sleep, that I was handsome. Rodani: OhgodsIthoughyouforgotthathappened. Rodani: When he first asked me to dance. I tripped over my feet and he caught me. Oh gods, that was the night I knew. I was badly in love with him.

This happens often when I'm writing things. I start one project and immediately an idea for a sequel pops up. But what can I do, it's stronger than me. And I know where I want part 1 to go, so this was not hard to decide to write a tiny chunk for. So here's a word count update for part 2.

in disco elysium the only satisfying ending is helping ur community. It is not satisfying to put away the murderer, an old revolutionary man who is ill and frail and fallen through the cracks of the centrist government, it is not satisfying to be welcomed back into ur old precinct and rejoin the unfeeling hash and grind of your perpetual violence on the side of the trigger puller, it is not satisfying to interrogate and accost the suspects Klassje or Ruby or the Hardie boys and divide them apart when they are just trying to protect their orphaned own, it is NEVER satisfying to always follow Kim’s advice and it is certainly not satisfying to face down ur own personal ghost of idolization worship and perfection. it is not even satisfying to give up on all of this world and return to the primordial muck.

the only good ending in Disco Elysium is finding a home and musical passion for Andre Egg Noid and Acéle where they would have frozen or drowned in the ice, solving the “mystery” of the doomed commercial area and talking about cockatoos with Billie Mejéan, making sure Anette doesn’t have to stand outside in the cold and Plaisance doesn’t lose her daughter while cooking under the pressures of capitalism, learning about Gaston and René’s life long friendships and loves, cheering on Cuno’s fucking Night City of locusts, knowing the Hardie Boys will be checking on the Pigs, waiting on the swing sets and whistling a tune with your friend. Talking long enough with Little Lily that you feel Lamby pressed to your cheek, redeeming Fortress Accident under Soona’s guidance, spitting poetry with Tommy Le Homme and singing your heart out in the Whirling in Rags to a cafeteria full of townspeople who have only one place to gather at the edge of forgotten Revachol.

The worst part about Disco Elysium is being a cop 👉 hands down. It is an examination of many things, but especially what it means to truly change your Community for the better and how that is absolutely impossible as an agent of the status quo.

run: what’s one relationship or experience your OC has mixed feelings about? are they good at finding joy in sad things, or vice versa?

Alice: "Oh I've had my share of funky relationships. The one I have the most mixed feelings on was my first one, a fling I had when I was in high-school with a man almost five years older than myself. I was rebellious and he was... well, what I thought I wanted. And I'm rather good at finding the good in the bad."

blood: what would your OC would sacrifice everything for? what does “everything” entail—their life, or something else? how far would they go?

Suki: "... What would I sacrifice everything for?" Suki: "My friends, my clan. Elisa. I am a gargoyle. It is our nature to protect, so giving up everything, even my life, is easy."

spring: what does your OC miss most? will they ever be reunited? how would they feel about that?

Blue: "... My family, hands down... well, my siblings, Theo and Thea, at least."

Blue: "I was really close to the two of them before our dad... was kind of an arse about who I am and kicked me out, and as far as I know they haven't moved away from him yet so I don't think a reunion's possible right now."

Blue: "I mean, I'd love to see them again, it'd be the best thing ever, but I don't think it's going to happen right now."

I love Chiyo- and I kind of headcanon her as a Witch of the Woods (Sands???) archetype- a bitter old woman who has sacrificed too much, experienced and committed more atrocities than anyone can imagine, and who knows the truth about what lies in the hearts of men to live among the villages anymore.

In my AU she's got a pretty dark backstory. Back in time when Villages were just getting established, women weren't allowed to be shinobi in the same capacity as men. There was too much warring and death among the clans to risk women, so they were only ever allowed to serve as spies or medics. (Chiyo started off as a medic).

And like any military/fascist dictatorship, serving the state was more important than anything else- so women who were kunoichi were given missions to steal and return with powerful bloodlines. Even before villages, this was a common fear among clans (which is why so many of them have protective measures and inbreed/arrange matches very carefully).

Chiyo was one such woman, who took a X-rated mission in her youth because she was told it would 'serve her nation'. There was a powerful bloodline whose Kekkei Genkai could harden sand to something akin to Steel- something Suna very desperately wanted.

Chiyo succeeded in her mission, but despite the veneer of 'serving your nation', when she returned, she was considered, in her words, "Just another whore."

Then when her son didn't manifest the bloodline- it was worse, but Chiyo was happy because that meant her son was HERS. (This is when she met Enji, and he saved her son's life at great cost- so Chiyo owes him a blood/life debt.)

Then the war came, and they needed women to fight so now serving the nation meant something different, and Chiyo became a full fledged 'shinobi' and turned her healing towards poison and death- especially when she had to fight the Salamander.

Then she sealed Gaara and that was the atrocity straw that broke the camel's back and she dipped out Suna and retired to an oasis. She's still a healer, but adamantly refuses to serve shinobi.

Danny let out screeching laughter, echoed by the penguins around him, as he watched another white suited moron fall back down the slope. Another hand came up over the edge, hauling the body of a man over the edge, only to be met with Danny's beak to his stupid face. With a shriek, he let go of the ledge to hold his not bloody forehead, sending the man tumbling back down. Danny couldn't help the extra loud screech as his body bowled straight into three of his teammates, knocking them over like pens.

From far behind them, the scientists watched in a mixture of fascination, hysterics, and concern. This was new behavior, something they had never seem the flightless birds do in the wild before. They seemed to be having fun, torturing the men who disrupted them every day and had even attepted kidnapping their giant baby. It seemed the birds had a strong sense of Justice.

Robin and superboy stood with them, cheering on Prince Fluff and what they had been referring to as his kingdom as they drove more men into the deep snow at the bottom of the slope. Superman might not approve of his son encouraging this behavior, but not even he could dictate the actions of a wild animal.

i love the idea of sy transmigrating into svsss and being hailed as a seer or some sort of demigod or something. even better if he’s a disciple. he lets one weird thing abt the plot slip, it comes to pass, and suddenly he’s elevated in the sect, yqy is consulting him on major happenings, and sqq becomes fiercely possessive because that’s his head disciple, tyvm. he’s not spectacularly talented in martial arts or swordsmanship, but he’s incredibly skilled with musical and spiritual cultivation

he’s poisoned by without a cure during the demon invasion when elder hammer tries his stupid sneak attack on lbh. after that, lbh becomes his unofficial assistant, because all sy really wants to do is hang out and vibe, but he’s too valuable to the sect to be put on bed rest and somebody’s gotta make sure he takes his meds and doesn’t collapse alone on a mission. and sqq treats sy’s poisoning as lbh’s fault (lbh does too, sadly), so he makes sy lbh’s responsibility

Also important to note that lion can just eat someone's desire to resist him, or desire to avoid hurting someone or any other desire that is against smth that he wants to do and you can't really do anything about it

Yep! The Lion always says he's just "power to be used" and tries to play it off saying he has no way to use his own power for himself. And in a way it might be true (he needs someone to wish for something that will free him) but in another way he's HIGHLY manipulative and uses the dungeon lords however he wants.

That's why I don't really enjoy when people describe Laios' confrontation with him as "The Lion confronts him with his deepest/true desires". I don't believe those are Laios' true wishes at all, those are past traumas the Lion uses against him to manipulate him into wishing to let go of humanity.

I guess it's in a sense the thing about "what you want vs what you need". Sometimes we wish for things we don't really want and desires get muddled when we can't face what we truly want/need.

Laios wish to become a monster comes from a frustration of not being able to fit in, is his wish abandoning humanity or is it being understood? Did Mithrun really wish to steal his brother's lover and never have joined the canaries or did just wanted to feel wanted? To feel like he had worth?

The Lion isn't power to be wielded, he isn't a neutral force, he's a being that hungers and he'll do all in his power to be able to eat and that includes lying and manipulating <3

I think even at the end the Lion misunderstand what a true wish/desire is. He curses Laios so his "Your greatest desire will never be granted". The Lion thinks that's monsters. I believe it's because that's what Laios has dedicated his life to, that's what he knows the most about, that's his biggest comfort, that's his everything.

But he doesn't consider he would let go of that desire for the people he loves, because all he knows is hunger, and love isn't hunger 😔
