Yesterday I had a bout of inspiration, and I wrote something about Chris and Devon (yet another original character. I keep adding them to this project, whoops!)

October had only a "handful" of words to offer, compared to September's 100k+ words, but that's okay. It was mostly editing the fics for Whumptober, and starting a few snippets on some ideas.

For the first time ever, I have finished all the fics for a writing event before the month of the event started. And this is also the first time ever I reached 100k words in a month.

Incredibly proud of myself for this one.

31 fics for Whumptober done + 2 other fics that are not connected to Whumptober.

106966 words written in 24 days.

And in the meantime I managed to read some books and also make gifs.

I hope October is going to bring even more fun for me.

This happens often when I'm writing things. I start one project and immediately an idea for a sequel pops up. But what can I do, it's stronger than me. And I know where I want part 1 to go, so this was not hard to decide to write a tiny chunk for. So here's a word count update for part 2.

August 20th: 989 words.

Even though Camp NaNo July is long finished, I was still writing in my draft in August as well. I will share some of the updates in the next few posts.

Meet Chris Wagner. Retired Chief of Detectives, NYPD.

Chris and Emilio go way back...

From being just Emilio's training officer when Emilio joined the NYPD, to becoming something more, someone special, someone who despite the years, and decades, Emilio can't forget. The thing about Chris? He can't forget Emilio either.

In a bittersweet turn of events, Chris finds himself in a position to finally settle on what he always wanted, only to discover that Emilio already has someone else, or rather more than just one person in his life. Chris thinks that that's it, he lost his shot, because he waited too long to take it.

And yes, you guessed it, Chris fell hook, line and sinker for Emilio Leyva.

But is all lost or is there still a chance for the old flame to turn into a wildfire?

More info on Chris will follow hopefully soon, when the coherent thoughts return to base.

Sorry this writing update comes a little late, meant to do it when the month started, but I binge watched Invasion (2005) and then went straight onto  watching Crossing Lines, so coherent thoughts have been spare the last ten days.

Once again, I have a successfully completed Camp NaNoWriMo. I finished the month at 38,161 words. It was so exciting to tackle a new project, plan about it, start a timeline, and then discover at the end of July that I want to add another character (he sort of appeared and knocked on my door, opened it and sat down at the table, looking at me with those blue eyes, high cheekbones, and the freckles standing out on his face). And if you need a visual for Chris until I manage to think of an introduction of him and make an edit, look up William Fichtner, you'll see what I'm talking about.

I am satisfied with reaching my goal two thirds into Camp NaNo, and for not stopping there, but rather continuing with it, letting the story develop and grow. I enjoy discovering my characters and what they have to tell me.
