Get Your Morning Started 🤍
I bet you already read dozens of morning routines but maybe I can offer you a few different tips and tricks with my step by step morning routine.
waking up early is essential to make the most out of the day. If you aren‘t an early bird, try different kinds of alarm clocks (light, nature sounds, etc).
After waking up make sure there is some water on your nightstand and drink it. Start hydrating!
Try to avoid your phone as long as possible - no one needs your attention that early in the morning. Be considerate and put your attention on yourself!
Don‘t make your bed. Srsly! Open your window and air your bedding first. Making your bed right after getting up is a safe place for mites. While ventilating the bedroom you can go the bathroom, prepare your drinks/breakfast, journal or meditate. Make your bed 30 min after leaving your bed.
Meditate. Light a candle or incense sticks. Roll out your fitness mat and choose between guided meditations or non guided meditations (I recommend guided for beginners, you can find some on YouTube or Spotify) meditation is key try to stick to it daily!
Journal for organisation and personal growth. 5 to 10 minutes only (!!!) there are many journals out there, I personally use the 5 Minute Journal but any journal would do. You can use a plain notepad and look up journaling ideas on pinterest I really don‘t want you to spend money on stuff you don‘t necessarily need just for the aesthetic.
Move your body honey! Do a YouTube workout or go for a run. Walk your staircase up and down do whatever you feel like doing but try to ignore your lazy bum trying to make you skip this. Get stared on this one you can thank me later.
Breakfast, baby. Nutrition and hydration is non-negotiable! Have your vegetables and fruits, drink your coffee or matcha, don’t forget to drink your lemon water. Don‘t skip breakfast to loose wait angel. Your organs need the calories to function during the day so treat yourself with love and consideration.
Keep calm and moisturise. Quick shower or wash to get ready for the day. Skincare is everything. I’m currently investing (and testing) Korean skincare for myself but a few products are key: cleanser -> toner -> antioxidant serum (vitamin c) -> eye cream -> moisturizer -> sunscreen
Make up and dress up. Find your personal style you feel comfortable with and you‘re good to go. You can look up outfit capsules on pinterest for wardrobe ideas. In terms of make up I personally think less is more. Mascara, lip oil, some rouge on the cheeks and vaseline and you‘re fine. I personally prefer a sleek hairstyle.
Listen to podcast. This step is easily combined with breakfast or getting ready. I‘m currently listening to Confessions by Anastazia but I’ll probably make a playlist with my fave podcast episodes from various podcasts and share it with you.
Bisous!

How to Create Paper Cut-Out Reliefs: Tips and Techniques for Beginners
Back again with another lil' series of 2D wall relief paper cut-out forms. Both of the pieces below follow the same process and technique. Im really happy with the process and outcomes. Im working on animating them as we speak. I'll add them to this post later. My paintings inspire my drawings, and my drawings are inspired by those same forms found in my paintings. It makes sense that every so often I want to make those forms "pop out" and off the surface of a flat plane. Alas, it all starts with a quick sketch. See below, just a series of light loose free flowing lines take the lead, forward ->
Here we have a dude posing for a profile style portrait. Most likely, this is inspired by the NYC B-Boys from the years 1983 - 87ish. Either way, it's nostalgia for me. Once the sketch feels good, I'll break out the paper and x-acto knife. I keep telling myself that one day Ill work with another material other than paper for these works, perhaps wood or metal.. It will happen, I can foresee it for sure, hang in there. Im using a white bristol paper for the cut outs, I believe it is the vellum type and not the glossy, but either or will work just fine. I love to cut paper and the whole medium of paper art in general.
Paper cut-outs, also known as paper cutting or Kirigami, is a traditional art form that involves cutting shapes and designs out of paper. The history of paper cutting can be traced back to ancient China and Japan, where it was practiced as a folk art. The Chinese and Japanese would create intricate designs, often featuring animals, plants, and mythical creatures, and use them as decorations for festivals and special occasions. I always loved it and have felt inspired by these pieces.
Using the sketch above, I apply the "map" of the shapes and forms that I see. Sometimes I redraw those forms on the paper that I will cut out, and sometimes I just "draw" with the x-acto knife to recreate the forms. Sometimes, it's a combination of both of those techniques. There is also a series of "out-take / byproduct" cut outs that do not make the final piece, those can be saved and used for the next piece, obviously!
I layer the forms on top of each other to compose the arrangement as a whole, its fun to watch it all come together, in the next phase, you will need some kind of durable tape or you can make little paper forms that can be pasted to both sides of the forms as they stack, this will create the gauge and depth of the piece once it is placed onto the wall.
This is the final composition above, I love it! I used a roll of duct tape to make small cylinder forms that connect the pieces together, the piece as a whole comes "off of the surface of the wall" by about 1.5 - 2" inches - you can play with this a bit but keep in mind, the tape makes the piece heavier and it will want to comply with gravity :)
I hung the piece (also temporarily adhered via the same duct tape) for the photoshoot and to also get a good look at how it will function on the wall. I have an old painted fire place in my studio that is a great surface for hanging things, I love the contrast of textures between the bricks and the paper, as you know, the shadows will be super cool to see too.
Once I had the whole piece constructed I took a few pictures of it. I immediately wanted a clean vector line drawing of the whole character. I brought the photo into adobe Fresco and used a vector brush to draw this lovely variation. This is how my brain works, I switch paths because I know they are really pipelines to the "next thing" that I will push this to, so forward we go.
Then, it was light source and photo shoot time. Im not really happy with these picture as traditional "photographs" as I know I can do a much better job, but, as a series of "sketches" for a planned photo shoot, these will really help to make those plans a reality. I love neon colored lights. I have a bunch of them from various places and spaces that I found on the internet. Amazon has a great selection of flashlights with various colored light options. Get a few and play around with how the light can effect your work and the shadows that it creates. This is where the depth and gauge of your pieces play a role. The photos below are also a part of the same session, which all took place over a few days.
Here is another variation with a different character.. What do you think? Shall I make more?

🦇Tips for Dressing Goth on Low-Spoons Days🦇
Note: I am low-support needs disabled, and what works for me might not work for you. I am not a doctor and cannot offer medical advice!
Black hair, baby. I dye my roots with $1.25 men's beard dye from the 'tree now, so that's pretty cost-effective, and you don't have to do anything for your hair to look 'goth'. I wouldn't recommend a mohawk because for it to look maximum cool, you have to style it, and that can take a while. My haircut now is shaved on the sides with short bangs and it looks goth even if I don't style it. It requires minimum maintenance, too.
Pre-layered accessories. Many necklaces- especially ones marketed for 80s costumes- are pre-layered and you only have to work with one clasp. Maximum style for minimum effort. You can find layered necklaces on Amazon, at Halloween stores, and I've even seen them in the costume section of thrift stores. There are also bangle stacks that function the same way.
Strega Fashion and Lagenlook- this might work for wheelchair users, depending on how long your flowy elements are. Lots of tunics and skirts and sweaters and fancy hooded tops, etc. Think of a dark, witchy vibe. Very comfortable and can be easy to style with clothes-you-find-at-Wal-Mart, and relatively cheap.
Nails. I LOVE having long dark red nails for maximum 'spoiled vampire prince' vibes, but sometimes having acrylics or press-ons can be too expensive, impractical, or maybe too femme for you. Whatever the case, I have more recommendations than your standard black nail polish- there's silver nail polish that makes your nails look mirror-like, red nail polish of all shades, purples, etc. For a more masculine, deathrock look you could experiment with dark, zombie-esque greens, or even neon shades to stand out against your darker clothing. Painting my nails can be hard for me due to my coordination issues, so I keep Q-tips nearby and soak them in acetone to clean up the edges.
Eyeliner- they sell jumbo eyeliner sticks and you can basically roll that about your eyes, smudge with your finger, and call it done in about one minute. I have yet to find a sharpener to go with mine, which is unfortunate, but these would seemingly be the way to go when you don't have the spoons to pull out the white base and all that.
Shave your eyebrows. Not necessarily for everybody, but it gives a more alien or 'more human than human' vibe to your look without makeup and makes me look infinitely more goth even in jeans and a t-shirt. YMMV.
Piercings, if you want them, can get them, won't affect your job, etc.- these always look pretty alternative especially when combined with each other. These combined with the black hair will do the job for you, in my opinion. I currently only have my ears double pierced but plan on getting my septum done soon.

Hello, hello! Sooooo, i love your ST fic and I am in awe of your writing skills. Especially your deep pov writing. It reads so close, so visceral ... so mind blowing good. So let me ask you this: HOW!? I aspire to write more in a deep pov but fail at it. I'm able to tell a story from one pov (what characters are doing/perceiving/talk) but it lacks the depth of that inner world? Do you have any tips when to dive deeper, what to pull from? Is there a good ratio of doing/perciving vs. inner world? I'm grateful for any help/tips you would share. <3
thank you so much! i love answering writing questions and i shall endeavour to do my best with this one. most of my writing practice comes pretty unthinkingly, in that i sort of construct characters' interior monologue on instinct, but i've developed that ability over a number of years of work. the main thing i can say is just read as much as you possibly can — i often find that each thing i read imbues me with a different sort of style for a time, which is something i can bank in the repertoire. exposure to a lot of different styles means you can experiment, and eventually find what suits you best. no one style of perspective or narrative is inherently better than the others, and it definitely benefits you to try them all out!
that being said, it sounds like you're trying to go for an extremely focused third person, which is what i generally use. and my advice there is that on the whole it's a matter of balancing internal thoughts with actions. internal thoughts meaning not 'he thought [xyz]' but rather just [xyz]. for example, instead of 'he thinks about how difficult it will be to do this', something as simple as 'how is he supposed to do this?'
basically, you integrate what the character might be saying to themselves in their head into the flow of the narrative. thoughts and memories become combined into a flow that could be a monologue, just interior and in the third person still: 'how is he supposed to do this? he can't do this. he's the son of a con and that con, his father the con, his father said to him get out and now he's here, being asked to persist, being asked not to get out. stay in one place and don't run. but what he's good at, it's running, it's the thing handed down to him from a man who hated him who taught him things anyway-'
and so on. see how it contextualises the character's history and thought patterns — in this case eddie, who tends to let things get away from him, has a very scattered interior monologue — into what they're experiencing in the present moment. it's not, 'he thought about his father, who'd told him to leave, which made it difficult to accept that now he had to stay,' which is an equally valuable way of expressing the same ideas but evokes a greater sense of distance from the character's headspace, which is not what we're going for — instead we're experiencing the flood of eddie's panicked, scattered thoughts in the way those thoughts are delivered.
basically, in this style of writing, the medium is the message. but this is most important in the more functional bits of the narrative — passages like the one above should be used sparingly, to maximum emotional effect, since they can slow the pacing dramatically.
in general, try to imbue the syntax and the flow of details with the narrator's personality — such as in a moment of description, pick out only the things that are relevant to the narrator, the things that the narrator would notice, and do so with extreme prejudice. for example, in better by you, eddie's constantly noticing car models or band names; he might notice a side character's blond hair, square jaw, and general atmosphere of looking like they listen habitually to duran duran. so transmit the things you want/need your reader to know about the side character not only through basic detail (the visual of blond hair, square jaw) but also through your narrator's unique flair (duran duran listener, meaning eddie finds this guy unoriginal and beholden to trend cycles). contextual details of the narrator's life are key, and indeed it's in these fleeting moments of description that their character comes across most naturally — this moment, for example, tells us that eddie is a music snob prone to snap judgements. so in a single sentence we've established the side character's appearance and possible personality (which could be subverted later, owing to eddie's presumptions) while also reaffirming one of the narrator's key character traits.
all this is is also a matter of balance. you can't be trying to reveal character traits with every single sentence of your writing — a lot of those sentences are just there to get you from a to b, and to get bogged down in writing a personality is a surefire route to purple prose. i'd recommend trying this approach and then going through and paring back the internal monologue: phrases like 'how is he supposed to do this?' pack a punch and should therefore be sparing. i will say that my stranger things works tend more towards the YA side of things, which is a genre that encourages a strong, declarative internal monologue with thoughts written out on the page like that. i've been trying to move towards a slightly more understated style (but still focused 3rd person) in my works for other fandoms simply because ST is more of a YA show and the others... are not lol. but as a general approach it's better to throw everything on the page and then cut it down — just go wild. pretend you are that character. imbue it with every single thought they might ever have or have had and then, when it comes time to think about pacing and action, choose the juiciest, most concise bits to keep. you won't have realised it when writing, but just the act of trying to embody that character will have seeped personality into the most basic of action sentences, meaning the more obvious thought-statement ones become superfluous.
i hope this was helpful! it's late and i wrote about 4000 words today and replied to 47 comments so i'm sort of frazzled but i do love talking about my craft, so feel free to ask me anything else.

FIRST COURSE - KNIVES
(or at least the ones I recognised from the TV-show so far)
mads mikkelsen by kenneth willardt for vanity fair italy, 2015 - aka my favorite shoot of his.
i apologize.
1. Spyderco Harpy
• appears in Hannibal season 3 in Italy .ೃ࿐
The Harpy was designed as a knife for seamen, featuring a karambit style blade that magically cuts right through rope, the serration lending a hand to the task.
Additionally, the Harpy boasts a detailed tip, which can chew through a manner of different materials, probably one of the main reasons why Hannibal found it handy for different...matters. To sum it up: This is not one of his kitchen knives, but rather one he used as a pocket knife in all different kind of situations.
Originally the japanese Spyderco Harpy was designed to accommodate the needs of commercial fishermen. The hawksbill blade is modeled after the talon of the Harpy eagle, allowing for a deliberate pulling cut where the object does not slip off the end of the edge. The hollow-ground blade incorporates SpyderEdge serrations and a thick spine for support. The handle is made of stainless steel with a drying vent, perfect for Hannibal and his exquisite taste…and of course correspondingly expensive. A good 200 euros for this fine tool, everybody. But he seems to be rolling in money, so no problem for our favourite cannibal.
2. Chroma Type 301 style by F. A. Porsche
• appear in various episodes as Hannibal’s kitchen knives .ೃ࿐
To be honest I really fell in love with the Spyderco Harpy and didn’t quite think anything could change that. But. When I tell you the design…omg. The Chroma Type 301 knife series was brought to life by F.A. Porsche (yup, the german car guy) and the chef of the decade, Jörg Wörther (austrian chef).
Japanese knives have achieved global recognition for their quality, as the Japanese hold a long tradition in metallurgy. The Japanese metallurgists have elevated the forging and sharpening of the blade into a form of art for hundreds of years, since the era of the notorious Katana swords. On the other hand, Europeans and Americans also make excellent knives, often characterized by superior ergonomics and design, but rarely distinguished for the hardness and sharpness of their blade.
The type 301 knife series by Chroma bridges the gap between Japanese tradition and the European design, this series standing out for its unique design and practical function. Porsche and Wörther closely worked together in order to develop the final shape of the handle, which is optimized for maximum usability. The result is a precision cutting tool. Each knife is carefully weighted to ensure perfect balance in the hand and in combination with the highly ergonomic handle, it feels like an extension of the user’s hand. The Chroma type 301 knives follow faithfully the Japanese philosophy, which dictates a knife to be lightweight and flexible. They are made of high-quality Japanese 301 steel, a relatively lightweight material which has a 56-58 hardness rating in the Rockwell hardness scale. This renders the type 301 knives harder than most of the non-Japanese knives and among the hardest knives within their price range. The increased hardness allows the knife to maintain its sharpness longer and also to slice better.Even though the Chroma type 301 knives are mass produced, they are carefully razorsharp sharpened by the hand of a master. Quality control is performed on one-to-one basis and not through random sampling. And by the way…did I mention the extraordinary design.
3. Kai Shun Knives
• appear in various episodes as Hannibal’s kitchen knives .ೃ࿐
Before Shun Cutlery was established in the western market, most people were used to heavy European-style kitchen knives. With Shun’s entry into the marketplace, home cooks and professional chefs alike were introduced to the lightweight precision of fine Japanese cutlery. Thinner blades, sharper edges, and lighter weight gave Shun a high-performance edge that the heavier knives couldn’t match. Each Shun still takes at least 100 handcrafted steps to complete and Shun remains true to its ancient heritage of quality. At the same time, Shun takes advantage of thoroughly modern, premium materials and state-of-the-art technology to provide that traditional quality to millions of professional chefs and avid home cooks throughout the world.
Today, Shun has become one of the most well-known names in kitchen cutlery. It has won awards for innovation and quality. It has been admired and emulated. With new styles, new materials, and an ongoing dedication to the spirit of innovation, Shun will continue to provide Japanese kitchen cutlery of outstanding beauty, impeccable precision, and the very highest performance.
4. Global Knives
• appear in various episodes as Hannibal’s kitchen knives .ೃ࿐
Global G Series knives are typically put together in what's called a three piece construction. The blade is stamped out of sheets of steel of a proprietary stainless steel alloy, while the two handles are created and welded together separately. The blade and handle are then welded together into one solid piece of stainless steel.
What makes these Global knives a bit unusual is that they start off empty. The blades are welded on without a tang and the handles are actually hollow. Instead, to maintain balance, they are filled with a very precise amount of sand.
Now it's quite unusual and you might just write this off as Japan being Japan and doing things differently because...well, they're Japan, but it seems to work very well for them.
The ability to inject a precise amount of weight (sand, in this case) as needed directly into the knife has led to them getting a reputation or having very precise and excellently balanced knives across their range of products.
That said, ergonomics are always personal.
Global G Series knives tend to feel very lightweight and evenly balanced. Some people tend to prefer a knife that is more weighted to the back for a firmer grip, or to the front for chopping action. This is the classic global knife version, but of course there are various other series one can discover. Unfortunately I am not able to tell the exact version Hannibal uses in the show by just watching...if anyone has an idea let me know!!!

The Ibizan Hound
For National Purebred Dog Day and Day of the Podenco (May 1st) please enjoy this write up I recently did on the Ibizan Hound (aka Podenco Ibicenco).
Please keep in mind that I am U.S. based, so most of my information is going to be about the community and sports here in the United States.
The beginning of the Ibizan Hound, like many primitive breeds, cannot be narrowed down to a specific set of dates or even years. Like many other Mediterranean and Middle Eastern breeds, fanciers like to compare Ibizan profiles to those of dogs found in hieroglyphs and on statues and imagine their ancestors being those who lived among the Ancient Egyptians. Then, at some point, they were said to be brought over to the island of Ibiza on trade ships. Recent genetic testing does not quite support this story, but what can't be denied is this - Ibizan Hounds have been uniquely selected and adapted over hundreds of years to hunt rabbit through the brush-filled, rocky embankments and hot, arid climate of Ibiza.
Ibizans are pack hunters - first using their eyes, ears, noses, and innate curiosity to investigate the area and find anything attempting to hide in briars or other natural formations. A bark, a wagging tail raised over the back, and an excitement for the future chase alert the other dogs and the human hunters to the prey's location, where the dogs will congregate, flush the prey from it's hideout, and hope for a quick catch. But, if the rabbit is clever enough to avoid immediate doom, the chase gives way over the harsh landscape. This is where the Ibizan's unique conformation comes in. Their front is intentionally forward set and has more elasticity than most breeds, giving them the ability to maneuver, rotate, and change direction mid-air. Combined with lithe, flat muscling, their medium size, incredible leaping prowess, and fear of nothing in the face of the hunt, most Ibizans have the drive and ability to go over, under, around, or through any natural obstacle they may find in their path. Ibizan Hounds are an excellent example of form follows function in that everything, from the ears on their head down to the tips of their tails, has been fashioned to help them excel at their purpose over the years of selection for the best hunters.
In the United States today, Ibizans have been recognized in the Hound Group by the AKC since 1978. Officially, the standard calls for females to be 22.5-26" and males 23.5-27.5", though small deviances in either direction shouldn't be held against a dog who is otherwise a nice example of the breed. With this height range, you can find dogs anywhere from 35-70+ lbs. Because of the conformation of their skeletal structure and flat muscling, it is common to find healthy or even overweight dogs who show hip bones, ribs, and spine, especially during their "teenage" phases. All purebred Ibizans will be red, white, or most likely, a combination of red and white with rosy, flesh toned noses and pigmentation. Both smooth and wire coats are allowed, and in the AKC, are shown together in the ring and can be interbred. The only disqualification in the AKC standard is for "Any color other than white or red and any pigment color which is not as described". The standard leaves enough open to personal interpretation that Ibizans tend to have a range of "styles" within the breed, while retaining the distinctive breed type. Overall, Ibizans should be elegant, refined, and "deer-like" in their appearance without being fine to the point of fragility. Moderation is an essential aspect of their appearance and ability. An Ibizan overdone in one way or another would not excel at it's original function.
Temperamentally, the word moderation could not be less true. Ibizans (affectionately called beezers by those who love them) should be stable, easy-going, and affectionate. Aloofness with strangers is common and acceptable. However, alongside all the above comes a dog with a wicked sense of humor, an innate curiosity, and the physical ability to follow through on their heart's whims. Beezers are over-the-top goofy and tend to be wildly affectionate with those in their inner circle. Ibizans are pack dogs, and should easily integrate themselves into groups and generally get along with others. They do well with routines and order, since they tend to make their own chaos, but training must be approached with the understanding that most are very easily bored, and will find it beneath themselves to repeat an activity they believe they've conquered.
While they obviously excel at running sports like lure coursing and racing, Ibizans are also able to have fun and have been making strides in sports like agility, nosework, rally, and dock diving (and rumor is a few are starting to dabble in flyball). The breed is also one that sees many Owner-Handlers win and do well in the conformation ring. Beezers are generally classified as high energy, and most are willing to keep going all day if they find whatever activity to be enjoyable. However, once they reach maturity, you're just as likely to find them lazing the day away on the comfort of a bed or couch.

Room Interiors 101: Key Principles for a Beautiful, Functional Space
Creating a beautiful and functional room requires understanding a few fundamental principles of interior design. Whether you’re redesigning a living room, bedroom, or workspace, following these tips will help you craft a space that reflects style and purpose.
Establish a Clear Purpose
Every room should have a distinct function. Before choosing furniture or decor, consider how you’ll use the space. Is it for relaxation, work, or socializing? This will guide your design choices and ensure each element serves a purpose, creating harmony between form and function.
Choose a Focal Point
A focal point is a standout feature that captures attention when someone enters the room. It could be an accent wall, artwork, or even a fireplace. Arranging furniture around this feature creates balance and flow, guiding the eye naturally around the room.
Balance with Space and Scale
Balancing furniture size and room dimensions is crucial for a functional space. Large furniture in a small room can feel cramped, while small pieces in a large room may look lost. Opt for furniture proportional to your space, leaving enough room for movement. In a smaller area, consider multi-functional pieces to maximize utility without overcrowding.
Lighting Matters
Lighting affects the ambience and functionality of a room. Use a combination of ambient, task, and accent lighting to create a well-lit, versatile space. Layered lighting lets you control the mood and ensures the room is suitable for various activities.
Incorporate Texture and Color
Texture and color bring depth and personality to a room. To add visual interest, experiment with contrasting textures, like smooth surfaces alongside rough fabrics. Neutral tones can provide a calming base, while vibrant accents add personality. Just maintain a cohesive palette that suits the room’s function.
Personal Touches
Adding personal elements like photos, plants, or unique decor makes a room feel welcoming and uniquely yours. These small details make the space feel like a reflection of you.
In Summary
A beautiful and functional space combines strategic layout, color harmony, effective lighting, practical furniture, and personal touches. By following these principles, you can create an interior that is both aesthetically pleasing and comfortable to live in.

How do you think feline retractable claws would work on a humanoid hand? Thanks for the help ❤️
alright, finally clearing out my askbox backlog! thanks for your patience!
a good start is this post i reblogged a while ago that has some examples of claws on hands as well as monstrous teeth arrangements. it does show how to root claws onto the bone, but it doesn't cover how retractable claws work.
Part of the reason retractable claws work well for cats is because it fits into the digitigrade style of their feet, so it's a little tricky to fit them into humanoid fingers, but I've come up with a way i think it can work, so here are my study sketches:
(image description: simple study sketches of a human finger and a cat claw. In the human finger, there are three bones extending from the hand, connected by two different tendons and a ligament on each bone that acts as a pulley for the tendons. The nail sits above the bone of the fingertip, in the flesh of the finger.
In the cat claw, there are three bones in the toe connected by a tendon and a few elastic ligaments. The claw is attached to the toe tip bone and the ligament here connects to the previous bone instead of the tendon. The final joint of the toe sits inside the toe pad. When the claw extends and retracts, it does so by pulling the toe tip back against the previous bone or flexing it forward. end description.)
So, how do you do that in a human finger, where there's no thick toe pad to contain these funky bone arrangements? Also, do you want to add an extra bone to the fingers, or do you want to shorten the fingers by using the bones that are already here? I went for the second option, but you don't have to. Certainly, adding retractable claws will make the function of a humanoid hand a little more restricted. the claws, however, will be useful for grabbing things in a different way than a normal human finger. so keep that in mind.
(image description: three drawings of a humanoid hand with retractable claws, showing the bones under the skin.
In the first image, there is also another comparison between the bones of a human hand and the bones of a cat paw, demonstrating how the human hand is mostly flat while a cat's paw bends the joints more, making the two difficult to combine.
In all the simplified drawings of a humanoid hand with retractable claws, the final two finger bones are bent in a V shape that can be flexed straight. The flesh of the fingers is rounded and thick when the claws are retracted, and then flexes to be longer and thinner when the claws extend. end description.)
An important note is that the claws will remain visible when retracted, they'll just look smaller. And I didn't draw it here, but if you've ever had to trim a cat's claws you'll notice a sort of skin sheath at the base of the claw, which can be added here as well. Also, a claw is just a hard keratin sheath over a softer core, called the quick. It will bleed if the claw is cut or broken in the wrong spot.
hopefully that's a helpful start! you can go even more cat-like and add some finger/palm pads if you want.

STARSORB HONEYCOQUE
Honeycomb Monocoque is now a reality. Our dream has finally come true.
A style that doesn't show off.
16-inch ultra-light honeycoque wheel "Star Sorb"
For high-class orthodox people.
HONEYCOQUE + SPEEDSTAR
Racing car frames, which started out as ladder-shaped chassis shapes called ladder frames, became steel tube space frames called bird cages, and after the appearance of semi-monocoques with aluminum plates clad on the outer skin, so-called full monocoques and twin-tipped monocoques evolved. It was completed. Current F-1 machines, March 842, etc. have monocoque structures using composite materials such as aluminum honeycomb, Kevlar, and carbon fiber, which is called the composite construction method. This structure has excellent stress dispersion, and because it has an internal core, it is a much stronger structure than a simple monocoque structure, but it is also extremely light, making it an ideal structure for racing cars. It can be called a body. Speed Star, the pioneer of 3-piece wheels, has now adopted a honeycomb monocoque for its aluminum wheels, and has named this system the ``honeycomb structure.'' This wheel, which was completed by combining the best of aerospace technology, is not just a monocoque for show, but a genuine wheel that fulfills the original function of a strong and light wheel. Feedback from the Speed star on the 5 second dragster. Now, the speed star's ripples are spreading throughout the universe. Star Sorb is here!!

How to ensure your kitchen remodel adds value to your home
A well-planned kitchen remodel can significantly boost your home’s value, making it one of the best investments for homeowners. However, achieving a return on this investment requires thoughtful planning and smart choices. Here are some expert tips to ensure your kitchen remodel adds value to your home.
1. Layout and flow
Efficient flow ensures your kitchen is easy to navigate and enjoyable to use, which buyers find appealing. Aim for the "work triangle" rule, where the fridge, stove, and sink are easily accessible to one another. A functional layout also makes cooking and cleaning easier, adding practical value to the space.
2. Invest in quality materials
Quality materials not only look better but also last longer. Focus on durable countertops, solid cabinetry, and high-grade flooring. Engineered quartz countertops, for example, are both resilient and stylish, while soft-close cabinets bring that premium touch that buyers appreciate.
3. Focus on energy efficiency
Energy-efficient appliances and lighting appeal to environmentally-conscious buyers and help lower utility bills. Choose appliances with ENERGY STAR ratings, and consider installing LED lighting throughout the space.
4. Choose neutral, timeless design elements
Trendy designs date quickly. Choose neutral colours - whites, greys, or beiges - which have broad appeal and allow future homeowners to envision the space as their own. Timeless materials like subway tiles or classic shaker cabinets can ensure the kitchen feels stylish for years to come.
5. Add ample storage
Buyers love storage, especially in the kitchen. Consider pull-out shelves, deep drawers for pots and pans, and built-in solutions for maximum efficiency. Kitchen islands with built-in storage are a great way to add space without compromising on style.
6. Improve lighting
Lighting can dramatically change the feel of a kitchen. Ensure there’s a combination of task lighting, ambient lighting, and accent lighting to create a welcoming, functional space. Under-cabinet lighting can make food prep easier, while pendant lights over an island add a designer touch.
7. Smart kitchens
Modern buyers appreciate technology. Consider adding a few smart kitchen features. Touchless faucets, smart lighting and WiFi-enabled appliances make the kitchen feel more contemporary. These additions are relatively low-cost and enhance the appeal.
