Photo blog of whatever ends up in front of my lens but mostly the local Western Australian Jdm scene. Plus whatever I find online I think is interesting enough to share. Also check out my Hirocima Cruisers Facebook page. I have been uploading all my old and new pics into albums. Over 100 model/class specific albums up so far.

Note
Do you have a schedule of events you plan to attend?
The only events I will currently be attending regularly are the monthly WAJCC events held on the 1st Friday of every month at Valley Social in Henley Brook. At this stage the dates line up with my R&R and I am already travelling from SOR to NOR for the weekend.

One of my recent Nissan promotional poster for the C110 Skyline acquisitions.
Translation below.
The sound of the mountains.
Unless you listen closely, you wouldn't realize it was a sound.
As the wind moves, you can feel something on your skin. The sun moves very quietly and the fields sway subtly, letting us know that autumn has arrived.
Still, nature is a strange thing.
The first thing that tells us that autumn has arrived is, of course, the fields.
It's like a breeze blowing through the air. When I'm wearing short sleeves, I sometimes feel autumn on my skin. At such times, if I look straight ahead, I can see the trees in the forest swaying from side to side, as if they are quietly hiding from the mountains. The flow of time from then on is such that autumn, as if it was saying "I can no longer hide it," sneaks up on us all at once. This seasonal change, which repeats in the same way every year, seems to be earlier than usual this year, or perhaps it's just my imagination. Even as I write this Father's Dream, it is already completely autumn in the mornings and evenings. Perhaps the fun of driving is also because you can feel the change of time on your skin and confirm it with your eyes. In other words, I think it's because you can discover something new. In that sense, I think it's very happy to have free time and a car you like. Nowadays, the world is becoming more and more car-oriented, but the characteristic of a car is that you can move freely when you are free, and I want to cherish and nurture that. To make the most of these characteristics, we poured everything we had into the Skyline. Let me tell you a little bit about that. The design of the Skyline started from the viewpoint of it is important to the driver. The layout of the switches and levers necessary for driving is designed to go beyond ergonomics and into the psychological realm of not straining the five human senses. In terms of safety performance, the car is also designed to alert drivers who are trying to push themselves too hard. Some good examples of this are the completely non-reflective meter, speed warning dimmer shock absorbing body with two front and rear brakes, and shock-absorbing steering, all of which are equipped on all models. One of the few that does not even have variations for each vehicle. The classic 2000GT The 2000GT-X, the 1800 and 1600, which offer outstanding comfort, performance and economical characteristics, each have their own strong individuality. Sometimes you need to listen to the heartbeat of the mechanism.
Ken and Mary's Skyline

Back page translation.
Thinking back, the "age of nature" began around the time of this poster.
Even in a city of concrete and glass, nature can be found if you want to, but I wanted something purer in my mood. A forest where you can hear the rustling of the woods if you listen carefully.
If you close your eyes, the sea seems like a quiet stringed instrument. Colors and shapes that just can't be expressed by numbers on a calendar.
At times like these, if you have a Skyline, nature becomes yours. If you leave the established tourist routes, cross several bridges, and park your car in a quiet place, you will find yourself in the middle of nature. The feel of the soft earth. The scent of the air makes you want to stretch your back. If you stretch your legs, you might be able to encounter that "nature" once again.
No, you will definitely encounter it.

Nissan promotional poster for the KGC110 Skyline (Kenmeri). Double -sided. 4th pic is translated version of text on back.
Translation here below.
A-KGC110. The Skyline Hardtop 2000GTX-E S type is a Skyline packed with mechanisms for driving. Equipped with an EGI on the L20 engine. Suspension with servo-equipped 4-wheel disc brakes and a rear stabilizer. The pedigree of the GT-R, nurtured by the trials of racing, is alive and well. Abandoning all frills, the equipment enhances only the functionality required for driving. It is the crystallization of Shinichiro Sakurai's design philosophy of "giving the cold mechanism the warmth of human body heat." Since the first Skyline was born in 1957, his design philosophy, which sought a "car with life in it," has been the basis of the Skyline's design. It is said that the Skyline is familiar and easy to drive, even for first-time drivers, as if it were a familiar car, which is proof that his philosophy is supported by many drivers.
The technical team led by him also produced brilliant results in the development of prototype racing machines. These were the designs and glory of the R380, R381, and R382. The technology honed in the development of these big machines also became the foundation of the Skyline design. Machines and cars of different dimensions. Shinichiro Sakurai spoke about the benefits of working on both designs: "The accumulated technology cultivated through challenges to speed records and many races, which has continued to pursue the limits of cars, can be fed back into the creation of higher performance and safer cars." For example, the rear stabilizer and four-wheel disc brakes used in the S-type are typical examples. His skills are not only displayed in the technical aspects, but also in naming. When he went on a ski tour to Shiga Kogen in 1954, he was moved by the pure white mountains and blue sky of the Northern Alps that could be seen from the top. He entrusted his dream to the car he was designing and named it the Skyline. The Skyline has now reached its 20th anniversary. From "A wolf in sheep's clothing" to "Skyline of Love" and then to "Ken and Mary's Skyline". Even though the lineage has changed, his stubborn philosophy of seeking the dialogue between the driver and the car as the starting point continues to live on unchanged, along with his great love for the Skyline.
