Sure have!#I forgot how long it takes for Chimera Falin to come into play.#I still really love my 'better drawn' art of her - unfortunately it was several weeks too early for the anime only folks.#Slowly getting the hang of drawing Laios. I don't know why I struggle so much but I am getting...somewhere.#Meta time: God damn I love how the chimera shows off the expertise and gap between Kabru and Laios.#The truth is: they are both *right* and they are both *wrong*.#This creature is a combination of monster and human and they only have the skillset to deal with one of those.#Kabru goes for all the human vitals - but she isn't human.#Laios tries to approach her as a monster and is struck down by the humanity he sees in her.#She is something new that defies what they *both* understand about the world. And that makes her such a perfect antagonist.#The damsel was the dragon all along!#...She is really so cute though. Terrifying! But adorable. I am so excited to see the boom of fanart for her.

just an fyi, and it feels like it needs to be said here: your blog is your own space and you should be able to say whatever the fuck you want. if you’re sad? vent. get sad. maybe put it under a cut, definitely tag it, but get sad. if you feel like you need someone to talk to? drop a freaking message about how you’re feeling like you could use a buddy, or anything randomly engaging. if you’re having a hard time, you should feel safe and okay to talk about it in your own space. we’re writers and we’re people and while there’s a lot to be said for how engagement outside of oneself is necessary in rp (and really really needs to improve), i think there’s a lot that must be said about people reaching out to others. it’s become so solitary here — the whole ‘reblog from source’ thing when it comes to shit like about and musings is absurd. the whole refusing to like things is ridiculous. yes, curate your space, that’s important, but curating your space into a studio apartment only you live in doesn’t make this a community anymore, it makes it a studio apartment you live in.

just be yourself here. do whatever you want. but i’m always saying: remember you’re not alone, and don’t let yourself feel that way.

Howdy, I'm still alive. Not many drawings lately, but a lot of ling fun time. I just wanted to share my crafts hehe

My niece had fun playing with the ling plushies, I taught her about the goolings, and she drew Wiwi a couple times. I made her a Wiwi plushie and I'm gonna make a Lewling and a Hoardling too since she really wants her own. Makes me happy. That's what they're made for to make folks happy.

But sewing is so tedious 😵‍💫

i am standing in my room, leggies rooted to the floor. i am in shock .frozen and i have no idea how to proceed. there is a perpetual pathetically sobbing serpent under my blankie.

#stares at the camera and stage whispers #i can't be responsible for another living creature. i can't. or . er. i can. but I SHOULDN'T #i'll have to suppress every violent urge in my body to keep this thing alive for several months #i CANNOT fling him out the window. i WILL NOT grab his entire face and squeeze. I SHALL NOT chew on his tail.#now i'm reminded of that post where it's a pretty princess cage on the floor and comments go [that aint big enough for a dog]#and OP is all [it's not FOR a dog 😀]#yeah. that's me right now imagining a full grown yakumo in a cage by my bedside #SO FOR EASE OF MY IMAGINATION AND TO increase yaku's chance of surviving these next months #i'm going to try real hard to imagine him exclusively in pocket snake form (scrunches up my face in valiant effort)#his enclosure (crib?!?!) is flanked on all sides by eiden plushies #since yaku is an adult there is a smaller chance of him suffocating on eiden in his sleep. wait. actually #arranges the eiden walls to give some pockets of air. i don't trust him. he WILL suffocate on eiden given the opportunity #he gets one of those tiny dollhouse cooking sets for enrichment LOL #or i'll give him a bunch of those make-your-own gummy kits with elaborate setups and tiny egg gummies #crying yaku is the excuse i need to finally get a humidifier #i can survive not misting myself.. usually... but yaku will cry himself into dehydration. it's misting time #he gets an entire alcove closed off in the corner with his basic needs met. i cannot perceive #he can lurk in privacy as much as he wants. there are at least TWO hot rocks in there with garukaru's faces painted on em #there is a duplicate open-space alcove next to it for when he actually wants something from me LOL #is he a free range snake? can i take him to a bunch of restaurants and shove food into my sleeve for him? he wants to sample the delights..#tempted to put a bell on him just so if he gets loose in the basement i'll know to fish him out #but he's pretty cautious... he won't get into any fatal situations in the house right? ...does he know how to swim?!#at least one day is reserved for testing yaku's swimming capabilities.#he is going into the bathtub while it has a film of water. gonna test his traction. i hope i won't get panic-strangled #asks

#the boy and the heron #hayao miyazaki #i have many many personal thoughts after this movie and they’re all running wild in my head #you watch some movies at just the right time in your life and this was one of those #it was the same with kiki’s delivery service which i watched right after moving away #coincidentally also all alone and by the sea and to pursue education #i cried six times and i will no longer consider wet eyes crying at a movie because i was full on sobbing #for the first time in my life #first at the very beginning. then the fiery girl. then the creatures #then two times at the end of movie monologues. Ann then the closing song delivered the final blow #i’m very sad that the only person i would immediately want to walk about it and who would enjoy it with me isn’t here #but i’m also hopeful and i believe that there will be equally great friends in my future #i will find them or they will find me and perhaps it will be a little awkward at first but that’s how you build relationships (and worlds)#piece by piece and changing them once in a while #and it will be ok and i will not forget #mine #oh and i also got a movie postcard in the cinema which was so nice

thinking about frankenstein's monster again, not anything in particular just kinda brain rotating him like he's the well liked side character of a bad shonen anime

#i'm always thinking about jekyll and hyde though i've been obsessed with those guys since i was way younger #but mister frankenstein's monster has wormed his way into my heart #i'm much too sleepy right now to finish it but when i wake up i hope to continue a video i was watching about the original novel #the concept of frankenstein's monster itself just astounds me it's so great #just everything about it #it feels like a commentary of sorts and maybe it is maybe it isn't #i thought to be thy adam but i am rather the fallen angel #victor is his creator and while not necessarily his god the monster is HIS adam #while the monster had to learn the customs of man he did not truly have to learn how to be man itself #he was created with emotion and the abilities man posses #all he ever wanted was to live and as a creature born with the passion to live amongst men as much as any other man he couldn’t #a hell within itself #and a hell that he did not deserve #a tragedy he could not help and a series of tragedies that overcame him #to not be able to be loved by man and yet be surrounded by him is a worse fate than death #he surely would have rather never lived at all #or maybe been invisible to man entirely #i have love in me the likes of which you can scarcely imagine and rage the likes of which you would not believe #if i cannot satisfy the one i will indulge the other #he is a creature of emotion cursed to a life of blind rage #in any other world would he have met a different fate? not at all #man cannot change and he cannot change how he first perceived man and how he was perceived by him #maybe im crazy though #i am crazy im a crazy person!!!#nimposting

i had such a cool dream i want to remember so bad but it's already so distant im aa,, REMEMBER!!!!!!!!!

#it was like a world where we had to stay in this building and everything outside was a wreck and there were monsters out there #but the monsters were like . people who used to be with us #and they could jump and do all kinds of shit and also there was like this toxic spill area that healed them #which i only found out after i got sent out there #because . i was a part of this group in like a school setting and if you did something wrong or u messed up you wouldnt get this like.#thing which i cant remember but it was something only the guy in charge could give you which would make the monsters not care about you #it made u like immune to becoming one too i think #and everyday it was stressful and then i think some guy messed w me and i got removed from the class #and then sent out (along w another group)#but also theyd like try and break into the windows even of the apartment building #which also was very cool #the whole thing was like kinda faling apart but filled w stuff n decorated #u could tell they collected things #overall the vibe was just so fuckn MWAH #also there was a part where we had 2 fight the creatures and we hid in like an old home depot #and had to run and jump and shit on the big shelves but it was fuckn scary because those monsters were really good at jumping and climbing #like it was right behind u at all times #and all i had was a pipe #also for some reason the guy in charge was giancarlo esposito #no one else in the dream was an actual person ive never had just like. an actor be in my dream before HBJAHBJ #i think it's because ive been rewatching the boys again #but also there was a lady who ran out after her daughter who was with us and was like begging him to give her the thing that made u immune #i think it was also his daughter #and he was like no i cant #i cant do it unless she proves herself those are the rules they come before me #and then she got snatched away by the monsters #it sounds very boring when i write it out like this but i am just trying to remember HBJAHJB... it was so cool in actuality

Aside from the obvious "concept art refs frankenstein by name, so one could assume the head key worked as her electrodes/bolts" I don't see many people mention how her strive boots are black platforms a la creature's movie depiction's (roadworker if I'm not mistaken?? I probably am) boots. Also yknow they have lil bolts
