Appearing directly beside the gatekeeper from the frozen time with a large container of various spicy soup dumplings, a large portion of rice, and a large thermos of green tea, transferred in the frozen time to keep them peak fresh temperature. There's also a small table appearing to lay this spread out on.

"These six have a chicken filling seasoned with soy, ground ginger, and ground szechuan peppercorn. These six are pork with garlic, chili oil, and white peppercorn, and these six beef with a simple minced onion and pepper for a more milder. Hopefully it'll fill you up and warm your bones. Enjoy."

"Wahaa!? Sakuya-san!" Meiling didn't have the chance to produce her own table, it seems in stopped time the maid had beaten her to it. This could be considered cheating.

At least let her do one nice thing, but before complaints could hit one's ears, delicious smell hits one's nose. Given a few seconds the aroma of what was made fills the air and Meiling's immediately subdued and scanning over this feast.

Several flavors, a mix of meats, she really does feel like a dragon that has gathered a collection of prey to feast on. "This is incredible!"

"How did Sakuya-san know? I was starving! Lately everything I've been eating just hasn't hit the spot, I was worrying I might be craving something odd but no doubt, this'll fill me up!"

She doesn't even hesitate to start eating too, making joyful little sounds on every bite. One might even think to tell her to slow down a little as if she's far too excited for the food.

One can tell she likes it, but after swallow and bite there's a tinge of disappointment.

Like it's just not filling her up right. Still it tastes good, so she'll happily keep eating away.

something people just don’t think about is how often chronically ill and disabled people just don’t have access to good food. not healthy food, good food; well made, tasty meals that don’t come from a jar or a freezer. how many of us are housebound or can’t drive? delivery services only offer within certain distances, if you live outside a city they aren’t an option. many people don’t have the energy or ability to cook for themselves if they have the skill to begin with. many certainly don’t have the ability to learn how. it’s something that goes completely unnoticed, just the opportunity to have a good meal and how much that wears you down

Saw a video of cherry varenyky (Ukrainian dumplings) served with sour cream (traditional way to eat it). And non-Ukrainians in the comments think that it's someone messing up a recipe or something 😭 when Ukrainians and a lot of other Eastern Europeans eat everything with sour cream. And I mean EVERYTHING. Sweet or savory dumplings, soup and borscht, deruny (hashbrowns), salads, crepes....

I think it says something that Jimmy absolutely destroyed the crew and ship in half the time Curly was captain. Like he couldn’t even get them past 2 full months before breaking down.
