It's time to meet the wonderful Gemstone (aka Ellis's listener "Gem"!)

First Headcanon, (Don't know if Gem's job was ever mentioned... but..) I totally imagine Gem's job is one of two jobs (a nurse or a teacher... because I think those fit Gem, I imagine Gem likes to have a job where they can help people...)

Second Headcanon, (They're not technically the mom of the friend group... but..) I like to imagine that Gem is the type of friend who carries stuff like extra snacks, extra bottles of water, extra first aid kit and etc in their bag (speaking of...)

Third Headcanon, I totally imagine Gem is the type of person who uses a messenger bag instead of a normal purse/backpack (I feel like it's a running joke in Gem's friend group that Gem is like Mary Poppins... with their "infinite" bag full of all kinds of supplies...)

Fourth Headcanon, (sorta a Rival/Dove headcanon and sorta connected to my Headcanon that Ellis & Cyril have a small book club together... but..) I totally can see Rival/Dove & Gem once they meet (if they do/if they haven't already...) having their own little book club... I don't know why but I imagine the two of them have similar tastes in books (also I totally can picture Gem asking Rival/Dove a bunch of questions about the world of magic and a few questions about what it's like for Rival/Dove to date a elf...)

Fifth Headcanon, (sorta another Rival/Dove headcanon as well... but..) I totally imagine Rival/Dove practically taking Gem under their wing and unofficially adopting them (again it's not official... Rival/Dove just somewhat acts like a guardian towards Gem (similar to how I imagine Sweets acts with Bug,Darling and Newbie/Love...)

Sixth Headcanon, (sorta a Ellis and Eggs Headcanon as well... but..) I like to imagine one time when Gem visited, they brought over some baking supplies and Gem & Ellis both baked some sweets (plus some pet friendly treats for Eggs... who was watching them and meowing at them the whole time almost as if he was the boss...)

Seventh Headcanon, (sorta random... but..) I don't know why but I imagine Gem likes cupcakes

Eighth Headcanon, (sorta also Ellis Headcanon... but..) I imagine Gem has read a bunch of the books about magic from the bookstore and has attempted to do some of their own... (at first it appeared to be working but then....it backfired and Gem got sorta launched backwards into a bookshelf... and now they have a somewhat big scar on their back... Ellis has attempted to heal the scar but I imagine Ellis's healing magic still isn't that good so it didn't really work... (geez that got....depressing....Moving on!...)

Ninth Headcanon, I don't know why but I imagine Gem is the type of person who owns a scooter or skates... (Gem at this point is just the type of person who has stuff because "You'll never know when you might need it"..)

Tenth Headcanon, I like to imagine Gem has somewhat long hair so they usually have it up in a bun... (also Gem totally also carries spare hair ties in their messenger bag...)

so ive finally mastered the tap dance of 92sies king of new york, livesies king of new york, combined both into a weird hybrid king of new york and also choreographed my own. so ive decided to move on and learn a new dance. which one? step in time from mary poppins. why? cos i saw it today and its fucking awesome. and also apart from the going upside down bit its decently simple and honestly quite similar to the mash up thing i did. wish me luck lmfao cos ill sure as hell need it

Sunday in the Park with George

feat. Laura Michelle Kelly as Dot/Marie

It has been announced that David Shannon and Laura Michelle Kelly will lead the Nashville Repertory Theatre's production of Sunday in the Park with George, playing at the Polk Theater from 4th to 13th April 2025.

This marks the 25th anniversary of David and Laura working together for the first time - they played The Man and Swallow, respectively, in the original West End production of Whistle Down the Wind in 2000!
