Also sorry for the lack of posts lately, I’ve fallen into a bit of a creative block but I’m doing my best to finish the next chapter of Second Chances.

this is kind of inspired by @bvckbiter and their TA hybrid/shifter au and I love it because I love demigods being weirder! They're only HALF human.

I love the idea of demigods having a very noticeable aura around them (that they canonically have and can be canonically picked up on by other demigods) that mortals can vaguely feel, like a bad vibe, in a similar way that gods have a very strong aura of power. When Percy meets Hades, he can feel his divinity and feels like he should be deferring to Hades. Demigods could (*cough cough* should *cough cough*) have a watered-down version of this.

It lends itself really well to this sense of the 'perpetual foreigner' that demigods must experience. They're too human for their godly parents and they're too godly for the mortal world. This is why places like CHB and CJ are important. These characters can only find solace and community with each other and this is why the characters fight so hard to protect these places!

Aside from illustrating the gap between demigods and the mortal world, it also plays very nicely into the disability metaphor from which the series is built. As someone with hidden disabilities, I know how common of a thing it is for people to know there's something off with me, but they can feel it. We just have a 'weird vibe' that neurotypicals find off-putting. It's no fault of our own and it's not something we can control, this is just what we're like but it serves to push away the people around us and act as a barrier to their ability to understand us. Sound familiar????? It should! The og series is so laden with themes and metaphors surrounding hidden disabilities that this has to be intentional and I wish Rick had gone further with it.

It would have been great to see more of the completely regular mortals in the pjoverse and how they interact with this totally alien world and characters who only have one foot in each world. We should have gotten more from Paul, from Rachel, from Piper's dad, from Annabeth's stepmother (AND BROTHERS!!!)

Demigods may only be half god, but they're also only half human, and that side of their lives is criminally under-explored.

ok so bianca lives au!

the stress of being inside talos causes bianca to accidentally shadow travel (which explains the lack of a body)

talos is defeated, just to clarify

the quest continues on, zoe dies, and percy gets back to camp and tells nico bianca is dead

nico in this version denies it because he can feel that she isn't, but the rest of that interaction follows canon

so meanwhile bianca is in the underworld and when she figures out how to control her shadow travel she gets back to camp the day after nico leaves

unfortunately she can't do much to help find him, but she does search while also rejoining the hunters

eventually she realizes he's in the underworld, but minos leads him away before she can get there

after that it's a game of cat and mouse

nico has been convinced that he's wrong and she's dead because that serves minos' goals better

so she tries to find them, minos keeps moving away, this goes throughout the labyrinth

at the same time annabeth, percy, grover, and tyson are on their quest and have been told to keep an eye out

they see nico at the ranch and try to tell him, but he refuses to listen

after percy kills geryon, annabeth manages to send an iris message

bianca shows up, there's the reunion/explanation, nico hates percy less, and since now he has a whole reason to not trust minos, he sends minos away.

nico doesn't want to go back to camp atm, so he stays at the ranch and bianca sticks around too

then the quest continues, calypso's island happens, annabeth and percy go back in with rachel's help, etc.

bianca shows up and helps them in daedalus' workshop (nico didn't have enough control to properly return minos to the underworld so he ended up sticking with some chthonic kids from the ta)

they escape, go to camp, where nico and that immortal ares kid who's name i don't remember join them, as do the hunters

so castor doesn't die

lee still does because reasons

tlo goes more or less the same except more powerful demigods = less deaths

also hades favors bianca so she stays in the underworld freeing up nico to assist the others

plus bianca and hades, demeter, and persephone show up earlier

alabaster will probably work his way into this b/c i love him

and he is a chthonic kid so maybe...

so there you have it! bianca di angelo lives. she's also scary.

Wolf 359 College AU Anyone?

(This is the abbreviated version as I write out my full ideas...)

+ Mr. Cutter is a landlord, a lawyer, and a professor and has everyone else either working for him, with him, or are somehow indebted to him.

+ The Hephaestus Crew share a large rental property that Mr. Cutter owns. Their next door neighbors (in another of Mr. Cutter's rental properties) are SI-5. The SI-5 house is referred to as 'The Urania' which is the name of their house Wi-Fi.

+ Dr. Pryce is also a professor at this college with PhD Student Alexander Hilbert as her primary TA before she replaces him with Maxwell.

+ Mr. Cutter has Kepler and Jacobi as his TA's.

+ Minkowski and Lovelace work at a nearby rock climbing gym called 'The Hephaestus'. Eiffel works at a nearby pizza parlor.

+ Rachel Young is Mr. Cutter's personal assistant. Enlil is his chauffeur and also Dr. Pryce's semi-illegitimate son. Hera is Dr. Pryce's eldest child who was kicked out after she began transitioning- Mr. Cutter offered her a rent free stay living with Eiffel and Co. in exchange for having her do all repairs and maintenance tasks around the house.

+ Hilbert lives in the room right next to Eiffel and Eiffel swears that Hilbert is up to something weird. Eiffel's started getting sick way more often after he moved in- and he thinks he smells something weird through the air vents connecting their rooms... Maybe Hilbert is running a meth lab?

+ Maxwell and Hera work at a nearby tech repair store and are best friends.

+ Jacobi and the bartender (named Victor Reimann) at the nearby bar 'The Sol' used to hook up- and now Jacobi hates 'The Sol' with his entire heart.

+ Eiffel, Minkowski, Lovelace, and Kepler were all enlisted in the army at some point. Only Minkowski and Kepler completed their four years. Eiffel left of his own accord after his daughter Anne was born. Lovelace was dishonorably discharged after an incident involving her squad member Samuel Lambert.

+ Lovelace still talks to her high school friends who all live far away now. Fisher, Fourier, Hui, and Rhea are always wanting to visit her but have yet to find time.

+ Anne was born when Eiffel was around 20 years old. The car accident happened around when Eiffel was 24. Though in this version Eiffel swerves just in time to avoid hitting anyone- though the resulting telephone pole that he crashes into instead leads to Anne going fully deaf and Eiffel becoming hard-of-hearing (he now wears hearing aids). Eiffel was likely going to end up in jail for this but his court-ordered lawyer (a Mister Marcus Cutter) reduced his sentence to six months in jail, time in rehab, and monthly check-ins with his sponsor (who just so happened to be Marcus Cutter as well). Now that Eiffel is 26, verging on 27 he is in a much better place. And he will finally be allowed consistent visitation rights with Anne.

+ Mr. Cutter invited all the tenants of his two major rental properties to attend his and Dr. Pryce's course- and because this is the man who controls their rent- they all agree. Which means Eiffel is stuck in classes where his TA's are Dr. Hilbert, Jacobi, and Kepler.

+ Hera has memorized Dr. Pryce's daily schedule down to the minute in order to avoid interacting with her at all- even though she is forced by Mr. Cutter to attend Dr. Pryce's classes alongside everyone else.

I just remembered I have never talked about Camper Al au here so here's some doodles + one Annabeth

Percy and Annabeth goes down Olympus just a little earlier than in canon, just in time to witness the aftermath of the massacre of Ta demigods. Whoops

Annabeth, who watched Luke die a while ago mind you, recognises an old childhood friend who she hasn't seen in years.

Long story short Al gets kidnapped by Annabeth back to camp before the Olympians can exile him. Doesn't mean they won't try tho

Aujourd'hui je suis allée manger au restaurant avec ma mère. J'étais juste trop heureuse de manger mon petit poulet à la sauce roquefort avec mes pommes de terre sautées j'avais vraiment le sourire jusqu'aux oreilles.

Bon, en arrivant au restaurant ma mère m'a dit que j'étais vraiment habillée comme une clocharde et elle n'avait pas tort vu que j'avais pris des habits de manière tout à fait aléatoires dans mon armoire, je m'étais habillée au hasard et je ressemblais vraiment à une crackhead qui vient tout juste de finir de taper son rail de coke sous l'A86. Et là histoire vraie je me lève pour aller aux toilettes et la serveuse me dit "j'adore votre pantalon vraiment il est trop beau" et ma mère et moi nous nous sommes regardées totalement interloquées et abasourdies par ses propos. Ma mère a dit "je ne comprends vraiment plus rien à la mode d'aujourd'hui". Moi j'étais assez fière de mon pantalon, fière de lui il sauvait totalement ma dégaine finalement donc un grand merci à lui.

Et là ma mère commence à parler d'avenir et je sais pas pourquoi elle me parle de ce que ma soeur et moi nous allons devenir quand je cite "elle ne sera plus de ce monde". C'est totalement la pire conversation qu'une fille puisse entendre de la part de sa mère mais elle ça semblait pas la déranger plus que ça de me parler de ça. Elle me disait ce qu'il faudrait que je fasse, qu'il faudrait pas oublier de couper les ongles de pied de ma soeur parce qu'elle galérait toute seule. Et voilà tout ça sur un ton badin, elle était là à prévoir son après-mort presque à écrire son testament en mangeant sa purée de butternut et son poisson. Donc au début j'étais investie dans la conversation je la rassurais et tout : "ouais t'inquiète je vais gérer l'arrosage des tomates, oui je couperai les ongles de pied de ma soeur". Mais après elle a dit "alala quand je vais mourir ça va être quelque chose pour ta soeur la pauvre" parce que ma soeur est vraiment hyper hyper sensible. Et là je lui ai dis "mais maman ça va être quelque chose pour tout le monde" et là je me suis mise à pleurer à chaudes larmes sur mon poulet pommes de terre sautées. Franchement c'était affreux et là rien que d'y penser je repleure. Et ma mère m'a dit "oh mais non ma chérie faut pas pleurer comme ça t'inquiète pas je compte pas mourir demain ce sera dans très longtemps" mais même si c'est dans très longtemps même si c'est dans 150 ans c'est juste horrible horrible d'imaginer ma vie sans mes parents franchement j'arrive pas à m'imaginer ça c'est horrible.

C'est ma mère et mon père qui m'ont fait entrer dans ce jeu géant qu'est la vie, c'est eux qui chaque jour m'apprennent le mode d'emploi. Comment je vais faire pour continuer à jouer sans eux, comment je vais faire sans plus personne pour me donner le mode d'emploi ?????

Bref, donc le repas s'est terminé avec moi qui n'arrivais pas à m'arrêter de pleurer sur ma cuisse de poulet. Et ensuite on a parlé de choses plus "joyeuses" pour "détendre l'atmosphère" comme de Rachel Garrido et de la nouvelle cuisine américaine de ma tante.

Pour finir j'ai payé et ils m'ont fait une remise de 8euros. Peut-être qu'ils se sont dit que j'avais pleuré parce que le plat était trop dégueulasse et du coup ils m'ont fait un petit code promo de dédommagement. C'est gentil à eux j'apprécie.

Cherry's 2k and 1 Year Celebration

It has been almost a year since I posted my very first fic on Tumblr, and what a year it has been. I have 2,000 more friends on here than when I started, and I cannot believe it.

The TGM Fandom has brought some amazing people in my life and given me an outlet for my creativity that I haven't had in a very long time.

So, to celebrate my one year anniversary and 2k followers, I'm hosting a blurb celebration!
