You can think it’s not a big deal or think it’s good writing. But dismissing people who say it was abusive behavior is just rude. I also think you should listen to some of them and their lived experiences compared to what was on screen.

so in the past I have made themed gifts for people who have helped me* and it's been a little weird but like. Understandable to the person I am gifting the thing to weird? I've been playing Phantom Hourglass for the first time, and I think one of my favorite parts about it is that you can actually fight the phantoms. If you're getting chased down and know you can't get away, you can turn around and swing your sword at them, and it works. They flinch and block you with their shield- no damage is dealt and you have to keep swinging nonstop to keep them from hitting you- the moment you stop you're almost definitely dead. But the fact that you can actually look at these terrifying, massive, unkillable wardens, stop running and decide "No, I ain't dying here", and physically fight back against them and it can actually work if you just barely manage to slip away at the perfect moment- it's just SO fucking cool to me.
