People are always like "why do they let Data play poker with them, his brain is a computer, he has an unfair advantage," and the answer is simply because it's for fun!! He's their friend! Like can you imagine if they told Data he can't play, he'd be like "I understand, that's a logical decision, and as an android I am unable to feel left out," but then any time the poker game came up he'd be looking at Riker across the bridge like

So voting is finished! And I can't say as I'm overly surprised at the results as, in first place we have Leonard 'Bones' McCoy DeForest Kelley with a solid lead.

By a slim margin, Julian took second place (once again finishing second in class).

And, in third place, we have the motherly Beverly Crusher.

Karl Urban was our first runner up and Phlox from Star Trek Enterprise was mentioned a lot in the comments and tags.

Legit curious over which doctor you prefer but I have only seen TOS Bones, Beverly (did not like Pulanski at all but if you did, pick other; your choice), Julian, LMH Zimmerman, and Alt Bones.

My take away from Next Gen so far

I always love how Geordi is never truly weirded out by anything Data does or specifically if he does something strange when learning human behavior. Everyone else just gives Data this look because their weirded out but Geordi just looks at him and raises an eyebrow, and yeah he could be giving him the look behind his visor as well as the rest of them but I don't think so. He's never weirded out by Data's Data-ness just mildly surprised and questions him like "What do mean Data?" in a gentle voice

It's so charming to me that the whole crew just puts on this whole elaborate roleplay just for their friend's promotion.
