I've been editing a conversation about Ford and food and I've come to a realization; I don't think this man can cook to save his life. Or, more accurately, he probably can't cook outside of the ability to toss a pre-made meal into the microwave or oven.
Sure, he probably picked up the ability to prep a meal quickly during his Multiverse travels, but I refuse to believe it was anything more than whatever protein and vegetables he could get his hands on in the current dimension he was in. And once he got back, you know boxed meals or microwavable TV dinners are this man's go-to meal with a side mug of coffee.

the thing is, buck coming out was suppose to be the wonderful, joyful experience okay. here is this character who has spent his whole entire life searching for something, this missing piece that he couldn’t quite put his finger on what it was. he felt misplaced, unwanted and unloved. he was literally born to be a spare part and nothing more. he spent seasons looking for the key of happiness, looking for a place for him to belong.
and when he figured it out, when it finally fell into place for him, the look of relief on his face was so fucking beautiful. his eyes were so bright and smile so wide. and it’s been ruined and tainted by a certain side of the fandom that are so fucking cruel and spiteful because he kissed ā€œthe wrong guyā€. and they continue to be cruel and spiteful, because to them bi buck only matters if it results in bddie.
saying it with chest but you are not an evan buckley fan if you can’t be happy for him and his storyline outside of shipping.

ford's dialogue transcribed
so i was inspired by this post and wrote down everything ford says in the show-- im 99% sure this is accurate, at least to what i heard him saying. in my heart, there were some things like... i think he should be saying "going to" instead of "gonna", but im sorry, jk simmons was saying GONNA. also ford Constantly speaks like a storyteller, i tried to not over-italicize but seriously, he just talks like that! oh, and i didnt include all of his grunts and whatnot, unless he made a sound that felt like he was intentionally making it, like "oh-ho-ho"
its only separated by what age ford was when he was speaking, but i suppose if people like i could also clarify what episode the dialogue is from? i didnt really see a purpose in doing that
anyway, heres the link!

I'm about to say something that may or may not be controversial, but
I think that if Stanley hadn't been kicked out he'd be more hated than Ford (or at least hated just as much)

headcanon that a popular Alternian genre of television was like those cop body cam shows mixed with reality tv about like. Tow truck companies but for Threshecutioners. Like typical workplace reality tv where they all run around and have petty drama but with a lot of remorseless on-screen murder. Karkat was an avid viewer of at least one of these shows I think. Is this anything

Okay okay but thinking about one of the things that finally gets everyone to realize they messed up in that Relativity Falls AU being when Stan points out that for all they say Stan never visited them, they never visited him either. And maybe if they had they would have noticed something was wrong.
Selfish Shellfish AU - Masterpost
YES!!! That's about what I had in mind.
I've been thinking about Ford, Mabel and Dipper going to New Jersey to find Stan and investigate what really happened.Ā
Stan wouldn't just kill Filbrick and then disappear right? There must be a different explanation.
But as it turns out no one in the neighborhood is actually surprised at that turn of events.
Filbrick pulled Stan out of school and has been working him to the bone, forcing Stan to not only work at the pawn shop but also other part time jobs. No one is sure when Stan actually slept.
And the way Stan was always bruised up and injured even though he quit boxing a long time ago.
At least the bullies stopped bothering with Stan when it became clear that he wouldn't react to anything they did and just take it.
Interviewing the neighbors be like: ā€œOh that poor sweet boy. He would always help me carry my groceries upstairs. Good riddance that Filbrick died! He had it coming. I’ve tried to call the police on him but they just came out shaking that bastard's hands instead. Pigs, all of them. I hope he made him suffer!ā€

Sometimes I wonder why the fandom used blatantly refuse to allow killer to love or care about color the way they made him care about literally anyone else, mostly nightmare, on the rare occasions they bothered to acknowledge color at all.
It’s always depicted as if killer doesn’t feel the same way about color as color does about him (romantic or platonic doesn’t matter) as if color isn’t the only one killer has ever asked for help or admitted his deepest wants and desires to and if color isn’t the only person he has ever canonically and openly admitted to liking in any capacity in his present day, and being aware of that liking even in Stage 2 after the ā€œSave Meā€ comic, even if it’s not enough for him to trust Color yet. The only other person he’s gotten close to saying that he ā€˜used to like’ was Toriel.
Papyrus would’ve likely been another if killer had ever been able to handle even thinking about him. Let alone talking about him. Not even Nightmare gets ā€˜like,’ at most he gets ā€˜kinda missed.’
Literally, when asked if he likes anyone, killer has just straight up just said ā€œnoā€ and yet in the same comic where color gets killer to admit what he wants, killer also (in stage 2!) would’ve said he ā€œkinda likes that guyā€ if nightmare hadn’t told him to shut up. And that is immediately after threatening to kill color.

You want anguish? Okay, how about this: Stan didn't break Ford's perpetual motion machine—the machine isn't working because their high school doesn't have materials of a high enough quality to make it, and they overstress and burn out and break—but was accused anyway of doing it because Ford found a bag of toffee peanuts in the gym and assumed was him and in the end, Stan ended up being kicked out by Filbrick and Ford is now mad at Stan for something he didn't even did. Then, over ten years later, during the Portal Incident, Stan is branded by Ford and is the one how ended up being trown inside the portal. And 30 years later, Stan, now without his right arm and with his left eye blind, manege to built his own portal, during his travels in the multiverse, that connects itself with the weak spot in his dimension, that where his Ford's portal was built, to be able to come back home, since his Ford partially dismantelend his own portal for the greater good.
Now I ask myself... Can this relationship be saved?
Imo, its never too late for a happy ending, and happy endings make the world a brighter place because stories are place for fantasy and reality is sad, so we escape to stories.
To my credit, I've endured four days of seven hour microbio labs back to back and my brain is stuffed full of random stuff. So if I dont make much sense rn, that's why
Also, anon, if you askin' you, don't ask me! Go write the fic! See if you can do it! It doesn't matter if you're "not a real writer." The story will write itself.
I'm not saying that everyone likes writing or should like writing, just sayin', if you want something written and nobody else has made it, maybe try your hand at it! (and tag me if you do; I'm curious to see where this would go)
No matter what you decide to do, it's a cool idea! Keep it around ;)

CH.4
"If we’re going to get to the pit of this peach we gotta get some variables outta the way first. I need a scan of his brainĀ andĀ yours. While conscious.ā€
ā€œMine as well?ā€
ā€œYou said he’s your identical twin - he should be genetically the same as you. We can use a scan of your brain as a comparison to see if there’s physical damage on the organ itself, because brain damage is the most common cause of amnesia.ā€
ā€œIĀ doĀ have the technology available for an in-depth scan,Ā butā€¦Ā ā€
Ā ā€œBut what?ā€
ā€œIt’s in the shape of a ray gun, but like a traditional MRI whoever is getting scanned has to stay completely still.ā€
ā€œI don’t s’pose in the time it took me to go into town and get supplies, you managed to reconcile with him?ā€
ā€œReconcile?Ā He’sĀ stillĀ convinced I’m a mad scientist out to harvest his organs, 'or worse turn him over to the IRS'- don’t ask about that second part. If I point anything gun-shaped at him, he’ll freak out.ā€
ā€œCan’t say I blame himā€¦ā€
ā€œHush, Fiddleford. There’s an easy way we can get him to hold still.ā€
ā€œStanford-Ā StanfordĀ put the tranquilizing doohickey away. We both know that concoction of yours wasn’t formulated with humans in mind. Surely you have lessĀ causticĀ means of sedation.ā€
---
ā€œStanford, anyone can tell that bottle’s been tampered with.ā€
ā€œI have a theory that this persona of his is so self-destructive he’ll still drink it.ā€
ā€œY’know, this bottled water tastes suspiciously like two crushed Ambien tablets.ā€Ā
*Stan keeps drinking it anyways* Ā
ā€œI am impressed, but I also hate that your theory was correct.ā€
*Ford undeafens the cell*
ā€œStanley, if you think there’s zolpidem in that, why are you still drinking it?ā€
ā€œYou think two Ambien is enough to take me down? Guess again, I’ve used this stuff to cut coke. You’re gonna have to try harder than that, PhD.ā€Ā
ā€œHmm, so we should have used Coca-Cola instead of waterā€¦ā€
ā€œThat ain’t what he meant by- how did you survive by yourself out here?ā€
---
ā€œHello there …Stan?ā€
ā€œSup babe.ā€
ā€œDon’t call me that. I was wondering - you’re so handsome already, but it’d surely tickle my fancy a bit more if you put on this here necktie.ā€
ā€œHell no.ā€
ā€œDo you not know how to tie one? I’d be happy to-.ā€
ā€œI know how to tie a tie, specs. But I’llĀ neverĀ wear a necktie ever again. Not after Colombia… I still can’t shave that part of my jaw without nightmares.ā€
ā€œI beg your pardon?ā€
---
ā€œI couldn’t convince him to put the mind control tie on.ā€
ā€œFiddleford, why are you staring a thousand yards away?ā€
ā€œHe was explaining to me his time in Colombian prison, then he went on a tangent about necklaces and now I don’t think I can change a tire without thinking about it ever again.ā€
ā€œ... Interesting. We’reĀ notĀ resorting to the tranq gun yet?ā€
ā€œThis is your own brother you’re talking about.ā€Ā
ā€œThere’s only one thing we can do. The only thing that will 99.99% work on my brother. I didn’t think it would have to come to this so soon. But it’s our onlyĀ unharmfulĀ option left.ā€
---
ā€œStanley.ā€
ā€œDoc.ā€
ā€œI will give you twenty dollars if you stay still for thirty whole seconds.ā€
ā€œOn one hand this is a set up… On the other hand, I’ve done worse for twenty dollars.ā€
ā€œYouĀ whatĀ ?ā€
ā€œTen bucks up front.ā€

Stan questioning their gender in The Cissy
For the purpose of this post I will refer to Stan with they/them pronouns, although I usually use he/him for them.
This is the end... Of being cis...
Ahem.
Let us start, from The beginning:...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Cartman told Stan Wendy/l is "telling everyone (s)he likes girls" and identifies as a boy, "which would mean Stan's a girl", which starts confusing them... ("cartman's a girl? Wendy's a boy? Could I... also be something nobody noticed before?" - Is what I assume was going on inside their head.)
Their confusion/curiosity prompts them to seek some form of explanation... Support, reassurance.
They go to their dad.
Tumblr media
"Dad, Is it possible for someone to be one way on the outside, but totally different on the inside?"
"I mean - can someone identify as one sex, but be something else, but still have it be nothing about sex?"
I do find it somewhat interesting that Randy is the first person Stan goes to when confused about this. It wouldn't be the first time - similiar scenario occurred in "Tweek x Craig", where they were confused about Tweek and Craig being depicted as gay by the new girls in school, despite neither of them showing any signs of being gay before. They turn to Randy, despite their rocky relationship- but I digress. Randy simply tells them yes, that can be the case. And explains to the, how he(?)'s actually Lorde, to which Stan faints - i have no comment of relevance
Leaving them possibly more confused then before...
Further confusion ensues.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They don't know where they belong ...
Did they ever?
And they finally decide...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But, shortly after, they get in Trouble (or at least undergo interrogation)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When asked why they felt the need to go to the transgender bathroom/didn't feel comfortable using the boys bathroom, they respond -
"I just... Two people close to me are having gender identity issues and I'm confused."
So, their confused feelings of gender identity could possibly be due to their empathy, rather than them actually being trans. Throughout the series it is frequently shown that Stan is a pretty empathetic kid, and easily emotionally influenced - this could easily be another demonstration of their high emotional empathy.
But ya never know.
But the interesting thing is that in this episode, it's acknowledged that being transgender and gender dysphoria is a real thing people struggle with, but that's not Cartman, as cartman's only using being transgender as an excuse to get access to a cleaner bathroom. Stan here could possibly be the demonstration of a kid actually struggling with gender identity, as a parallel to Cartman in a way (?), as while Cartman's new gender identity is accepted despite probably not being trans, Stan is perceived to be cis and transphobic by everyone despite them genuinely being confused about their gender, unlike Cartman.
At the end, when it is officially announced anyone can go to any bathroom they feel comfortable in, including trans and cis kids, and if they're not comfortable sharing a bathroom with anyone possibly trans they'll have to go to a separate "cissies" bathroom, Stan feels comfortable enough going to the boys bathroom, only with this knowledge intact. (I mean, if they were non binary and possibly had to choose between "girls" "boys" and "cissies", they possibly felt most comfortable with "boys")(and also, perhaps knowing they're not the only non-cis/not fully cis person in the bathroom at all times comforted them..?). However, they're bullied into the cissies bathroom, because everyone assumes Stan's transphobic because they're all fucking dumbasses.
Now, them questioning/being confused about their gender is never referenced again in the series, at least I doubt it is. But, from what we've been shown, I just find it all very interesting. Idk.
Long post short, non binary/demi-boy Stan real šŸ’ÆšŸ’ÆšŸ’Æ

how long did it take Stan to learn all he could?
I mean, for thirty years he only had one journal, so I wonder how much time he spent actively fixing the portal and for how much time he was simply... searching
when he finally had all three journals things moved along pretty quickly, so I believe he knew everything he could with the limited information he had, and grasped the rest of the instructions easily
imagine how frustrating it must've been, after teaching himself science he never thought he could comprehend, cracking Ford's codes, and at some point all of that just wasn't enough
he learned so much but couldn't figure it out the rest by himself, and it was worse than when he was clueless because now that things make sense, he knows exactly what he can't do, what would be too risky – understands enough to know what's broken but not enough to know how to fix it
all that's left to do is find the other journals and I think that's how he spent the better part of those years
I wonder what went through his mind when he realized Dipper had one of them all summer
