I don't want to argue with every single person who lacks reading comprehension so I'm gonna address this once and for all here. I shared this because I think it's a nice motivational quote about someone who lost something important to no fault of his own and how he's dealing with it gracefully. Simple stuff but just because people are miserable they're trying to take this in a direction that it doesn't belong in. Yes Carlos is privileged in more ways than one but in this particular scenario he is the losing party. In f1, all of them are privileged and rich so you see the situation in that particular setting, you can't compare it to another situation. As someone who has followed sports all my life, I do take inspiration from certain things these athletes go through and overcome. You can learn from it and apply it into your own life even though those two situations look far far different from each other yet you'll find a lot of similarities if you have a mind sound enough to recognise it.

Formula 1's kinda not the same anymore without Logan Sargeant. I tried to watch the Singapore gp but I literally couldn't. I had nobody to support. I don't feel like watching f1 anymore because he's not there. I like Charles and Carlos, Lando and Oscar, Lewis, Fernando, but Logan had a special place in my heart.

He was the underdog, grinding so hard when everything was against him. He could've quit, he could've thrown in the towel but didn't. I always wondered why I liked him so much, and I realised it now. He was never a quitter. He may not have gotten poles, podiums, or trophies in his f1 career, but he's a winner to me. Winners never quit and quitters never win.

He inspired me, a serial quitter, to never quit.

i know this is a contentious one, but i agree. that doesn't mean i was happy about the circumstances in which his removal occured, or how it was handled, but the thing itself is understandable. sargeant cost williams more than four times his salary (keeping in mind that he had the smallest salary on the grid) in car damages in 2023 alone. a table on reddit which you can find here dictates that he accumulated an eye-watering damages bill that came to approximately 3.4million GBP, or $4333,000.

the way james vowles and williams handled logan's removal was tasteless and unprofessional to the highest degree, but fiscally, it makes sense. i loved him, but taking into account his concerning consistency with regards to crashing, logan was an unjustifiable expense.
