Sushi dinner from 争鲜gogo located at Woodlands MRT Station. Took a fancy to this Truffle & Spicy Mixed Bento (S$6) which came with four salmon gunkan maki, two scallop and prawn sushi in two flavours topped with wakame. Aburi Salmon Bento (S$6.50) is my favourite but this set looks dehydrated.

Spicy Lime and Vanilla Prawn Skewers
Ingredients (serves 4):
16 fresh King prawns
2 limes
1/4 teaspoon ground chilli
1/4 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
2 teaspoons Homemade Vanilla Extract
2 tablespoons Chili and Herb Oil
Rinse King prawns under cold water and pat them dry; set aside.
In a large baking tin, grate the whole zest of one of the limes.
Add ground chilli, black pepper and Vanilla Extract. Thoroughly squeeze the juice of one lime in the tin. Drizzle in Chili and Herb Oil, and give a good stir until well-blended.
Add King prawns to the tin, and toss thoroughly to coat in the marinade.
Cover with cling film, place in the refrigerator, and allow to marinate, at least a couple of hours.
Heat your oven grill to the highest setting. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
Place four marinated prawns onto each of four metal skewers (or wooden skewers which you have soaked in water for a bit!); and arrange them onto prepared baking tray.
Cook under the grill, 15 minutes, carefully rotating the skewers halfway through cooking. Or, you can grill them on a barbie, too!
Cut remaining lime into wedges.
Serve Spicy Lime and Vanilla Prawns Skewers hot, with lime wedges and Garden Herb Mayonnaise.

green house hokkien mee 青屋蝦麵, georgetown, penang.
it’s one of the popular spot to get penang hokkien mee or prawn mee. they have many kinds of noodles to choose from and two kinds of broth - prawn broth and the thick broth. also quite a lot of addons available to customize your bowl of noodles. i like to mix both the broth to get the best of both worlds.
the prawn broth is very fragrant with nice prawn smell, and the thick broth adds texture which make it so appetizing and yummy. we also ordered lobak as appetizer which taste great too. this would be one of the original hawker food that still taste as good as i remembered.

WIP Wednesday
The sketches I have piling up are starting to compete with the number of my fics 💀 Here's an angsty Mer Ezra hugging Shark Kanan
I forgot exactly what the context was for this. I think Kanan saved Ezra from some bloodthirsty humans and got hurt in the process

They are not called Giant Tiger Prawn (Penaeus monodon) just in name as females can grow as large as 33 cm long. While it may be an invasive species in other parts of the world, here in Southeast Asia it is widely cultured for food. Mum cooked these Spicy Tiger Prawn with Onion and tomato for dinner. Next, she stir-fried Cauliflower & Abalone with Minced Pork to go with the steamed white rice.
