Tribetwelve stan here. I like the idea that he's (going by t12 canon) a sort of forest spirit, so he's no stranger to animals.

But, animals typically freak the fuck out and run away. Can't blame em.

A cat coming up to him? Oh, he loves it.

He knows he can be intimidating, so he's not gonna do anything drastic. Probably just observes it a little.

Restrains himself from petting it, really.

Now, if he (somehow) ends up with a pet cat? Different story.

Best believe he's spinning around slowly in his office chair, cat on his lap, stroking it as he turns to meet whoever he called over whilst rambling some villain monologue "I've been expecting you."

(He thinks it's the most amusing thing ever.)

Calls the cat his "right hand man." Borderline respects the cat more than half of the proxies.

Also, talks to it. He doesn't really understand different intellectual capabilities, so he'll just start... speaking to the cat like a human.

A silly little ask, enjoyed this one. Just my interpretation of him. Honestly very tempted to draw him with a cat now. Enjoy. :)

little explanation on how Slenderman works in my slenderverse fanfic:

okay i don't want to spoil and ruin the suspense, but i think i want to put some context out on how my fic works! Slenderman here is a manifestation of basically any negative emotion, but mostly guilt.

example on how this works: he shows up when a person is in a vulnerable situation (the reader most of the time). this could be if someone is having a panic attack, bad memories, bad feelings, anything in general that exudes heavy emotion he can feed off of.

he will also feed off of guilt, most of the time Vinnie's guilt. more characters will come into play ofc, and everyone's experience with him is different.

he doesn't hurt anyone physically. it's all emotional and psychological. he will make someone lose their minds and either lead the person to suicide, or get a proxy to kill them. what he does to the body afterwards is unknown, probably feeds off of any human characteristic it has 'till it's nothing but a shell of flesh and bones.

he is going to be described at 'the thing', 'the figure', etc. most of the time, honestly just for more mystery. (slenderman isn't an intimidating name tbh)

also, the lore from each series will be kept (only with small changes so it all makes sense). don't kill me if i say something that's not accurate, my memory is shitty and i don't remember half of most lore 😭
