feral person A with leash holder person B, except, hear me out, it's not in the 'i own you' or 'i control you' kinda way.

it's in the way where person B is fully aware of how feral person A is...and simply shows them who to direct it on, gives them something to protect, gives them a target, the leash is just for show, just to let people know where the demon person A was sent from.

imagine in a fight or something and person A is holding back either not fighting and being somewhere else or not fighting at their full ability, only to get a nod from person B and everyone just goes "oh...shit" and person A is just like a switch, the leash has been dropped but in all honesty the leash was just there for show, for person A to find their way back like some giant bloodthirsty cat dropping off their prey proudly. and person B? you'd expect them to give person A a telling off, a lesson on morals at least...but no, they pat A's head proudly and praise them, tell them that they did such a good job

Teaser art for a fan fic

Did I really spend nearly 3 hrs for a sketch I still don't like how it turned out? Yes yes I did. I was going for like a part 4 Zenigata look. But it still doesn't look right

The fan fiction im working on does not necessarily take place during part 4, I just think part 4 Zenigata art style matches the prose better in terms of a more gritty?? Piece. Not koike gritty although ch 2 and 3 may lean towards it. Idk in my mind I was picturing the more ruggedly handsome Zenigata of pt 4 to fit in my fic. He's also more competent

im quoting from a critical theory final im writing but its really neat how return of the obra dinn is not a game about you.

there is no self in the game. you dont control anything, you were not part of the obra dinn's tragedy and nothing you do in-game can change their fates - or anything for that matter. they will remain dead, the obra dinn will disappear with the storm, you have no power to change the story or the game. your self do not matter, even if you are represented by the eyes of the inspector.

what mattered are the other, the memories, the stories of adventure and tragedy of those aboard the obra dinn, how they relate to other characters in their struggle or in their demise. this game is not about you, it is about them.

but its a cycle of remember and re-member. you feel a disconnect to these strangers' stories and experiences but you are thrown into their boots. you were not part of the obra dinn, but you feel pity, anger, sadness, disgust and fear for their fates, do you not?

and i think that's really neat. also im very drained </3

Can I just gush for a second about the STAGING for the Les Mis performance I saw last night because it ENDED ME

FIRST of all in Confrontation--I know this is standard but it was my first time seeing the musical and I was agog--Javert appears holding a chain

Like the way this is played it's almost supernatural how he just materializes, and with the chain he is the living embodiment of Valjean's slavery. And before their brief harmony on "I will be there," even before they're singing in counterpoint, Javert is already fighting him, trying to wrap him in the chain again! When Valjean starts singing to Fantine, both he and Javert are caught in the chain, pulling desperately, trying to pull each other apart, I can't--

And also like. Javert's death. The way this was staged. I'm losing it because EVERY SINGLE OTHER DEATH IN THE ENTIRE SHOW. HAD A WHITE SPOTLIGHT SHINE ON THE DEPARTED. TO REPRESENT HEAVEN

And Javert just falls into darkness, just like he sings. He's the only one who doesn't get to see heaven's light. He tried so hard to overcome his "original sin" that he sings about in Confrontation, but he can't, because he never accepts that it's never been about righteousness--it's about repentance.

It's just all so much I'm going to explode
