I was going through my scans and found this one again - from 5 years ago!

You know a scene that lives rent free in my head from movie 23? When Shinichi saves Kaito from Makoto. When Kaito began his heist, he was waiting to be his back up. We know that Jii was there, Kaito's assistant, and still it's Shinichi that saves him from that situation.

And Kaito's grin when he realises Shinichi has helped him, man it kills me. Look at him!

These two work so well together. There is just a layer of trust that is present between them despite being on opposing sides of the law (well technically) that is so astounding. I love them.

Fun little concept where both shinichi and kaito eyes are based of jewels~

The assignment would be sapphire for shinichi, moonstone for kaito kid and lapis lazuli for kuroba kaito

The reason why kaito and kid's gem assignment is different is mostly self-indulgent ^_^!! Moonstone base is white, but when hit by light, it creates the process called adularescence, which is where you see the blue-purple tone from the gem. (It's so pretty)

I have gathered a few fun symbolism of the three jewels, too, for anyone who'd like to know

Kaishin annoying Hakuba is one of my favourite things because it's so fun to think Hakuba meeting Shinichi and getting along with him due to their love for Sherlock Holmes and discussing cases and just as he's about to bring up his theories about who KID is, Kaito drops by and kisses Shinichi's cheek, going "Oh, Hakuba, I see you've met my boyfriend."

And Hakuba has never gone through the five stages of grief faster.
