Okay I know I’ve been real silent in the fandom lately (can you blame me?) and I’m probably not coming back until Gosho do something about the main plot, but I just randomly remembered this scene:

I just— can you imagine how Heiji was feeling? Other detectives were questioning his method, basically calling him out on his character the same way his own father did ( I think Heizo did mentioned he’s too hot-headed).

Thus, in this situation he asked Shinichi, his bestfriend — and probably his idol too in detective work — if he was the wrong one. And Shinichi, Shinichi, he’s just so good to Heiji. He had never doubted him, there was no hesitation in his answer. He did not offer Heiji comfort, and did not even defend him, but when Heiji asked, he answered with confidence and with that smirk. (I love that smirk it’s basically him saying he’s right).

I did wonder why Shinichi did not defend him earlier. However, even if he did, what good will that do? Hakuba was set in his own way, Shinichi was stuck in a body of a child, and I wonder if he did not bother at all because he did not think Heiji needs it? Just like Hakuba was set in his own method, so was Heiji. He is hot-headed yeah but it never was to the point where he endanger someone’s life or disrupt the crime scene. We all know he’s a good detective, Shinichi knows it, and Heiji knows it too.

I just love how Shinichi’s confidence in him probably assured Heiji a little bit (or a LOT, that’s his bro there). There was never any “I do agree with you but I guess you could have done it differently…” etc. Heiji asked if what he did was wrong and Shinichi smirked his all-knowing-smirk and said “Nope, not at all.” . That’s like the best assurance you can hear from the bro you look up to. Oh and let’s be real if Hakuba saw how Shinichi conduct his own investigation he would be frothing at the mouth too.

In conclusion, this scene is so OLD yet it suddenly hit me with feels and I love this two so much I just had to share my thoughts on it XD.

I have always loved animation and I always wanted to own an animation cel of a show I liked. I had some sketches of the MK1412 anime, which I also treasure a lot but…

Who do you think Kaito Carbeou is ? If it is Touichi Kuroba, was it necessary to make Kaito believe his Papa is dead, I don't understand when they are going to tell him the truth, even Chikagi at least would have given some hints to kaito that his father is alive , kaito is a smart boy he would have understand or Touichi and Chikagi wanted Kaito to The Kaito Kid. Maybe they were planning to tell him on his 18th birthday,but before that he found out .

I've seen theories for Kaitou Corbeau being either Chikage or Toichi, although I think Toichi dressed as Corbeau at the end of M27 right? Implying it's him? (I haven't had the chance to watch yet, sadly.)

The most probably answer is that Gosho thought it would be cool if Toichi was alive after all and then Kaito has a happy ending having his father back without taking into consideration the consequences the actions have on Kaito.

Toichi is the father of the year, not only traumatizing his son faking his death in front of him while performing but also grooming him to do the job he can't be bothered doing anymore (I know he'll have his reasons or whatever but they won't be good reasons, just stupid.)

I think it's heavily implied that the poster mechanism opening when he touched it meant it was set to unlock at a certain time, when he was 16/17. All to make him into Kaitou KID.

It's already not great parenting that Toichi left such a thing for his son to find, but at least if he's dead it's a "I want to tell you why I died and you're old enough to finally understand my reasonings and to learn a side of me I never got the chance to show you."

Now that we know Gosho is committed to keeping him alive, it just comes across as grooming his son into becoming a criminal by using emotional manipulation to do the job he couldn't do. And considering that Carbaou appeared when Chikage was "worried" about him being KID, it's highly likely she also knows he's alive.

It's just really bad writing with really bad implications.
