My new favorite unemployed activity is getting on a random bus and riding it for a full loop around the city. It's free if you flash the driver your student ID (thank goodness they don't make you scan it, because mine expired 5 years ago), and it's an easy way to pass an hour without frying my brain on my phone or laptop. I bring a book, and I can usually get through 40 or 50 pages before coming back around to my original stop. I haven't tried a double loop yet because I'm sure the bus driver would become suspicious.

God, I need a job...

I bought my family little 3D printed articulated dragons this year and I painted the eyes myself (some, I’ll admit, more successfully than others…)

I painted them at work on my last afternoon before I took off for vacation and the guy in charge of buildings and grounds came into my office and looked around and said, ah! you into dragons and dungeons? In a very friendly way mind you, but it made me laugh. Both my actual grandfathers died before I was born and it was 100% the most grandfatherly interaction I’ve ever had with anyone.
