one of the biggest man-made environmental disaster in decades!
the Kakhovka HPP is completely destroyed and can’t be restored.
Tumblr media
water continues to flood Kherson, Nova Kakhovka and other cities and towns, taking lives and destroying Ukrainian ecology;
Tumblr media
over 200,000 residents of surrounding settlements lost access to drinking water;
there is a threat of nuclear disaster due to possible cooling issues at the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant;
over 150 tons of machine oil have contaminated the Dnipro River. there is risk of a further 300+ tons leaking;
Tumblr media
river water drifts russian mines, they detonate in the flooding zones.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
regardless, thousands of animals, both wild and domestic, affected by this flooding. Ukrainians save everyone they can find. the search for animals and people continues for the second day.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
the scale of this terrorist act is difficult to predict. it threatens hundreds of thousands of lives — flooding will continue for at least another 4 days. international organizations created to save people and animals in such cases do not respond. Ukrainians were left alone for the second day in a row with a large-scale disaster!
please do not be indifferent, spread information, reliable information from the Ukrainians who are experiencing this catastrophe in real-time. do not believe russian propaganda, support Ukraine and Ukrainians in our battle for life!

Help demine Ukraine with a small donation of $5
About 156,000 km² of Ukraine needs to be demined. This is an area the size of Belgium, Denmark and the Czech Republic combined!  Help #DemineUkraine for a small monthly donation of only $5.
This is how to do it:
Go to https://u24.gov.ua
Then, click the "Donate now" button.
Then, go to "Humanitarian demining".
Then, click "Credit Card or PayPal".
Change the option to "Monthly".
Enter the amount you want to donate.
Proceed with the payment.
Make the lives of Ukrainians more safer.
More than 1,000 people have died in Ukraine since the war began due to mine explosions. Approximately 12% of verified mine casualties were children. This is not counting the scores of people who have had their limbs amputated or have been maimed due to mines. Estimates suggest that at least 15,000 people have lost their limbs, with numbers continuing to grow. More than ten million people in Ukraine live in areas in need of mine action assistance. If each of us donates $5 monthly, Ukraine would be much safer.

During a recent nationwide air attack on Ukraine, a husband and father in Lviv suffered an unimaginable loss – his wife and three daughters were killed in a missile strike that destroyed their home. In an instant, his entire family was taken from him, leaving him to endure grief beyond words. Images of this tragedy flooded social media, serving as a heartbreaking reminder of the devastating human toll Russia’s war continues to inflict on innocent civilians. While the blame for such horrific losses is quickly placed on Putin, these victims were not killed by him alone. The missile that struck their home was not designed and built by Putin. The fighter jet that delivered it was not fueled, maintained, or piloted by him. Putin did not prepare the meals for the military and support personnel. The uniforms they wore were not sewn by Putin. Behind every strike and offensive operation is a vast network of Russian civilians and military personnel. This network includes countless individuals involved in every aspect of Russia’s so-called “special military operation,” from complex missile launches to basic administration. These tasks are carried out by average Russians working in various sectors – military, energy, manufacturing, food and agriculture, transportation, telecommunications, media. Each industry is critical to sustaining a war of this scale, and each employs millions of Russians. These workers may not hold positions of power or directly participate in combat, yet they are essential to maintaining Russia’s military efforts against Ukraine.

This morning, Kyiv, Ukraine was bombed with a barrage of Russian missiles. One of the main targets was the country's largest children's hospital, where children come from all across Ukraine for complex procedures and cancer treatment. It was the latest in 1,700 medical facilities bombed by Russia in the last two years.
But I'm not going to share images of the bloodied babies or the desperate doctors and parents shifting through the rubble. Instead, I'm going to share WHY Russia is deliberately bombing civilians, straight from the horse's mouth. This program, discussing what to do with Kyiv, aired on Russian state TV just a month ago:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You can watch it for yourself here. I can vouch for the accuracy of the translation.
This was not some unfortunate misfire. According to Russia, these children are "bed bugs" to be "cleansed." During the program, they alternate between calling Ukrainians bugs, "Nazi filth," and "mutts." Not for one second do they refer to Ukrainians as human beings.
So can we please stop saying this conflict is "complicated," that it's about NATO, or "Ukronazis," or Western imperialism, or whatever else thinkers whose entire worldview is "only America bad" bloviate about. Russia doesn't need America's prodding or example to commit fucking crimes against humanity because they've been doing it since Chechnya and Syria.

“I tried to explain that I was a musician but it didn’t work. You say you are a musician and it irritates them so much they beat you more, and accuse you of lying,” said Merkotan

While international organizations inspect and have access to our prisons where Russian prisoners are held, they turn a blind eye and do not fight for proper conditions for Ukrainian prisoners.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Another thing that outrages me is the way "Putin's prison" is used. It was not Putin who tortured him and others, but russians. This is not Putin's war, but Russia's. These are not the decisions and crimes of one person. After 10 years of war, the Russians are still being singled out and absolved of responsibility. That's impossible levels of stupidity and cowardice.

RUSSIA’S SHAM ELECTIONS, where people are “helped” by armed soldiers who check to ensure they vote correctly—or else.
Does this look like they are helping to conduct a fair, peaceful and democratic election process? Or does it look like repressed voters under duress, who are being forced to vote for Putin under threat of armed Russian soldiers? (source) (source) (source)

ordinary russians torture and execute Ukrainian and Syrian civilians and soldiers, filming it on camera
ordinary russians come to the destroyed occupied territories and arrange "fancy and mysterious" photoshoots like it's some kind of disneyland
ordinary russians go abroad to willingly glorify russia at pro-russian rallies
ordinary russians persecute and kill Ukrainians abroad
ordinary russians export stolen Ukrainian clothes, household appliances and cars to russia
ordinary russians buy all these stuff knowing perfectly well and seeing from the labels that these things were stolen from the houses and shops of murdered Ukrainians
ordinary russians donate to support the russian army
ordinary russians make shells and drones at factories in three shifts
ordinary russians sew equipment
ordinary russian activists weave camouflage nets, make trench candles and collect donations for the russian army
ordinary russian truck drivers bring all this to the frontlines
ordinary russians make software for missiles
ordinary russian tourists go on vacation to the russian-occupied Crimea
ordinary russians sell and buy apartments in occupied territories whose residents were killed
ordinary russians write happy comments after shelling Ukrainian homes markets hospitals and schools
ordinary russian doctors go to the frontlines to save russian soldiers
ordinary russians work in prisons and torture prisoners of war with starvation
ordinary russian teachers in the occupied territories reeducate Ukrainian children
ordinary russian social workers kidnap and take Ukrainian children to russia
ordinary russian miners extract coal for steel smelting
ordinary russian metallurgists work three shifts at blast furnaces to melt steel
ordinary russian celebrities shoot pro-russian films, write pro-russian songs and call to join the russian army
ordinary russians organize mass protests in russia against the closing of McDonald's, but not against the war
ordinary russian children draw pictures of russian soldiers brutally killing Ukrainians
ordinary russian artists in russia and abroad create pro-russian art glorifying russia and the russian army
ordinary russians create videogames that promote russian brutality and the army
ordinary russian teachers teach children to hate other nations
ordinary russian trainers prepare children for warfare and murder
ordinary russians ignore russian crimes on the territory of Ukraine and Syria as they ignored crimes on the territory of Georgia. because they believe it has nothing to do with them and it shouldn't affect their comfortable lifestyle.
should i go on?
Putin is not the cause of russian brutality, terrorism and bloodthirstiness. Putin is a consequence.
before Putin, there were other presidents, other tsars and other authorities in russia. only one thing has not changed — russian imperialism and chauvinism.
don't be silent and please continue to support Ukraine! don't let your politicians betray Ukraine, Ukraine needs help to defeat russia!
