Speaker Johnson has flip flopped from his earlier principled position of full support for Ukraine’s victory.

Turns out Speaker Mike Johnson was a beneficiary of Russian campaign funds for his political career! He and GOP congresspersons must join to pass Ukraine Aid and end hostage taking with unrelated crisis.

In fact GOP initially wanted a “stand alone” bill! May be someone could talk some sense into the Speaker, he has a job to do, “legislating”, and not play hostage games!

It might surprise you, but we - those who grew up in Ukraine in the 90s - have a very different perception of McDonald’s than most people in the US.

McDonald’s was the first American fast food restaurant that made its way to Ukraine. The first one opened in Kyiv in 1997. It was something totally new and exciting. And it was also not cheap for Ukrainian standards at the time. I remember getting more excited about going to McDonald’s than I ever feel about going to a nice steakhouse or a seafood restaurant these days.

here the Ukrainians! we are dying!

Not gonna lie, my morale is at the lowest point it's been since the beginning of the invasion. Russians are successfully occupying more and more territories and shell frontline regions every day. People are dying, our culture and herritage is destroyed. International aid dwindled significantly because of american bullshit. Mobilization law has been signed and there is a chance that my family members get conscripted soon. Don't even get me started on internal political problems. A bunch of articles in foreign media talking about our defeat and "peace talks" (what a joke).

It feels like there were no at least moderately good news in a while. On top of that, the feeling that we are screaming into the void is stronger than ever. I'm happy when I see a foreigner online supporting us and spreading the word, because it gets rarer. Ukrainians feel like none of what's happening gets outside our info bubble. Most likely no one but Ukrainians will see this post either. Honestly don't know what to make of all of this.
