“But the LORD abides forever; He has established His throne for judgment. And He will judge the world in righteousness; He will execute judgment for the peoples with equity. The LORD also will be a stronghold for the oppressed, A stronghold in times of trouble; And those who know Your name will put their trust in You, For You, O LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You.” —Psalm 9:7-10
“Your faithfulness continues throughout all generations; You established the earth, and it stands.” —Psalm 119:90
“‘For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.’” —Jeremiah 29:11
“And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” —Romans 8:28
“For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin.” —Hebrews 4:15
“Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” —Isaiah 41:10
“God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.” —Psalm 46:1
“God Inspires Our Trust” By In Touch Ministries:
“Our Father in heaven always keeps His promises and never leaves us alone.”
“As far as children can tell, their mom and dad know everything and can do anything. And kids typically don’t question that assumption without reason (for example, if they see a parent mishandle a situation or someone else influences their level of trust). Parents demonstrate reliability by consistently providing shelter, food, and safety—and also by lovingly teaching, comforting, and guiding their sons and daughters. Then the children can sleep in peace, knowing their needs will be met.
Likewise, we know that we can trust our heavenly Father because He has shown Himself trustworthy from the beginning of time. Psalm 119:90 says, “[God’s] faithfulness continues throughout generations.” He has never broken a promise, and His plans for us have always been for our good (Jeremiah 29:11; Romans 8:28). What’s more, God understands our weaknesses and never asks us to do anything that He won’t help us accomplish (Hebrews 4:15; Isaiah 41:10). We can trust that even in the worst situations, He will be with us (Psalm 46:1).
What does trusting God look like in your life this week? Where can you relinquish control to Him?”

"CONFRONTING THE ENEMY'S TACTICS!"
Psalm 144:1, “Blessed be the Lord, my Rock and my keen and firm Strength, Who teaches my hands to war and my fingers to fight” (AMPC) The main tactic of the enemy is deception. “Deception” is defined as, “the act of causing someone to accept as true or valid what is false or invalid; to trick; to cheat; to defraud; to be dishonest.” And that’s exactly who the enemy is, a deceiver, liar and the…

The Morning Devotional: WCF 19.6 (Part One)
The Morning Devotional for June 28, 2023 The Westminster Confession of Faith 19.6 (Part One) VI. Although true believers be not under the law as a covenant of works, to be thereby justified or condemned;a yet is it of great use to them, as well as to others; in that, as a rule of life, informing them of the will of God and their duty, it directs and binds them to walk accordingly;b discovering…

Verse of the Day 12-3-22
Verse of the Day 12-3-22
Jesus: The Light of the World Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; the one who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.” John 8:12 In this verse Jesus declares himself to be “the light of the world.” This is the second of Jesus’ seven “I am” statements1. While the expression appears simple and straightforward on the outside, the…

Walking in the Light Beats Sneaking in the Dark
Walking in the Light Beats Sneaking in the Dark
Walking in the dark is dangerous. That’s why the Psalmist said he’d rather have a spiritual flashlight: “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” (Psalms 119:105 KJV) You’ve heard this verse before, and I’m sure you thought, “Yes, God’s word provides insights that enlighten and give direction.” Be Careful Out There But have you stopped and thought about what it really says?…

Prayer to Resist Sexual Temptation
Dear Heavenly Father,
I humbly come before You, acknowledging the struggles I face in resisting sexual sin. Your Word, in 1 Corinthians 6:18, speaks to my heart: "Flee from sexual immorality." I seek the strength to heed this call, recognizing that my body is Your temple.
Guide me, Lord, according to Psalm 119:9, "How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word." I yearn to immerse myself in Your Word, finding the strength and wisdom to resist the temptations that surround me. Let Your Scriptures be a constant shield against impurity, shaping my thoughts and actions.
James 4:7-8 urges me to submit to You and resist the devil. I pray for the power to submit myself wholly to Your will, resisting the schemes of the enemy. Draw me near to You, O Lord, where I find strength, grace, and victory over temptation.
In moments of weakness, I hold onto the promise in 1 Corinthians 10:13, "No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability..." Grant me the discernment to see the escape route and the endurance to follow it.
Purify my heart, mind, and actions, Lord. May the love of Christ be the guiding force in my life, helping me walk in purity and glorify You in all I do. In Jesus' name, I pray.
Amen.

God's Word Sown on the Soil of Fertile Hearts, Brings Forth Much Fruit
Jesus explains the parable of the sower and his seed:
Luke 8:11-18 "The seed is the word of God. Those by the wayside are the ones who hear; then the devil comes and takes away the word out of their hearts, lest they shall believe and be saved. But the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, who believe for a while and in time of temptation fall away. Now the ones that fell among thorns are those who, when they have heard, go out and are choked with cares, riches, and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to maturity. But the ones that fell on good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience. No one, when he has lit a lamp, covers it with a vessel or puts it under a bed, but sets it on a lampstand, that those who enter may see the light. For nothing is secret that will not be revealed, nor anything hidden that will not be known and come to light. Therefore take heed how you hear. For whoever has, to him more will be given; and whoever does not have, even what he seems to have will be taken from him."

“Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock.” —Matthew 7:24 (NLT)

“How To Study The Bible” (Foundations) Devotional By Faithspring.
Day 1 - “Why Studying The Bible Matters:”
“It’s impossible to know God without knowing the Bible.
I remember the first time I heard this line. I was a young Christian eager to choose the right thing to guide my heart towards the right desires. I knew that God could transform my life and I wanted to know Him intimately.
What was He really like? What did He want from me? Why was I here?
Over the next decade, I made it my duty to learn the Bible as best as I could so that I could know God deeply. The decision has taken me on a path I could have never imagined.
This short devotional is an introduction to a few of the most useful insights I have picked up over the last decade. You'll discover the techniques, tools, and strategies to help you get the most out of your reading time, as well as encouragement to believe that knowing your Bible is worth every ounce of work it requires because the reward is God Himself.
Take the challenge and learn how to transform your Bible experience from a chore into an essential habit. God is waiting for you to know Him more. He’s laid out the grand invitation. What happens next is up to you.”

What are some benefits of meditating on Scripture?
Tumblr media
Psalm 1:1-3
Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers. But they delight in the law of the LORD, meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do.
Psalm 19:8
The commandments of the Lord are right, bringing joy to the heart.
The commands of the Lord are clear, giving insight for living.
Psalm 119:27
Help me understand the meaning of your commandments, and I will meditate on your wonderful deeds.
Knowing and reflecting on God’s Word will increase our joy and our understanding of the perplexities of life, for God counsels us through his Word.
Psalm 119:105
Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light for my path.
The Bible gives us the resources to make wise decisions, for in it is God’s wisdom itself. It offers immediate enlightenment and light into the future.
John 15:7
But if you stay joined to me and my words remain in you, you may ask any request you like, and it will be granted!
The more we know God’s Word, the more we can pray according to his will, which will result in effective and powerful prayer.

Joy has come to mind/heart this late morning and early afternoon. Of all people to have joy, it is believers. The joy of the Lord is our strength (Nehemiah 8:10). The joy of the Lord is your strength and my strength. Not the joy of the world, not the joy of my career, not the joy of my body or what I can purchase–the joy of the Lord is my strength.
Seeped in joy. Overflowing with joy. Gratefulness and peace even in the face of difficult circumstances and unsettling factors–there is a peace that goes beyond understanding (Philippians 4:7).
Beloved, things can be really, really hard. Even for a believer. The joy of the Lord is my strength now. I rejoice in him as one who finds great treasure–"I rejoice at your word like one who finds great spoil." Psalm 119:162.

A song of David written when he was in the desert of Judah.
1 God, you are my God. I am searching so hard to find you. Body and soul, I thirst for you in this dry and weary land without water. 2 Yes, I have seen you in your Temple. I have seen your strength and glory. 3 Your faithful love is better than life, so my lips praise you. 4 By my life, I will praise you. In your name, I lift my hands in prayer. 5 When I sit down to satisfy my hunger, my joyful lips hunger to praise you! 6 I remember you while lying on my bed. I think about you in the middle of the night. 7 That is because you are the one who helps me. It makes me happy to be under your protection! 8 I stay close to you, and you hold me with your powerful arm.
9 Those who are trying to kill me will be destroyed. They will go down to their graves. 10 They will be killed with swords. Wild dogs will eat their dead bodies. 11 But the king will be happy with his God, and those who promised to obey him will praise him when he defeats those liars. — Psalm 63 | Easy-to-Read Version (ERV) The Holy Bible, Easy-to-Read Version Copyright © 2006 by Bible League International.
