Why does no one talk about Palestinian hostages? Why does no one talk about the fact that Israel, itself, killed many of its "dear" hostages? Why does no one talk about how brave, but scared, Palestinians are? Why is it that when there was an alleged rape to an Israeli, the whole world raged, but when it's a Palestinian, it is ok to be raped in front of family, ok to be raped by feral and rapid dogs? Why is it ok when an AUTISTIC Palestinian gets eaten alive by a dog, yet people feel sympathy for Israelis booking flight tickets to where they're actually from? Why is it ok for an Israeli to call every Arab an animal, yet when a Palestinian calls only on Israeli a monster, it is a crime?
And why does no one ask those questions?

I hope everyone is content, with their loved ones and safe.
My heart goes out to all those who cannot have that. I haven't spoken a lot about politics on my blog but I want everyone to know that I am Pro-Palestine, that Black Lives Matter and everyone should have a roof over their head and food on the table. There are many problems in the world, pointedly in Congo and Yemen.
I want to take the time to keep these people in my thoughts and hopefully bring awareness.
I'm also sending love to those who don't feel comfortable with their family right now. Who are in their rooms because it's all too much. I want you to know that you've got this. It will get better.

Stayed silent on this for a while to gather my thoughts, but why are people suddenly wishing genocide on Jewish people and spewing nazi talking points in Palestine鈥檚 name??? I am 100% pro-Palestine rn but guys. The second we decide it鈥檚 okay to dehumanize a group of people, we鈥檝e already lost. The average Israeli has nothing to do with the genocide, the average white jew from Brooklyn has nothing to do with the genocide. Attacking people who have nothing to do with this doesn鈥檛 help Palestine at all
I鈥檝e never faced Islamophobia or antisemitism, but I鈥檝e faced a lot of other kinds of bigotry, and to all of the jews of the world who have no say in Israel鈥檚 actions, I am so so sorry. My fellow pro-Palestine folks, we need to do better. No more bullying and hate crimes in the name of justice.

by Ahmed Fouad Alkhatib聽
Immediately after the horrendous October 7, 2023 massacre by聽Hamas, mass demonstrations in support of the Palestinian people commenced. Even before the Israeli military had launched its full-scale operation against Gaza, demonstrators took to the streets accusing Israel of genocide, refusing to acknowledge the gravity of what took place to Israeli civilians and even celebrating the massacre as an act of legitimate resistance.
This was the first strategic folly by the "pro-Palestine" movement after October 7, beginning a series of missteps and disastrous actions. There was no willingness to acknowledge the humanity of Israeli victims, who were quickly dismissed as unworthy of empathy and compassion. This dehumanization accelerated the devolution of the discourse, wasting a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to drum up support for the Palestinian cause and move the needle in a way that actually serves the Palestinian people.
Tumblr media
After October 7, overt support for Hamas and the armed resistance narrative became normalized as mainstream views within the "pro-Palestine" movement. From student groups and established organizations to questionable entities, no one was willing to condemn Hamas on an ethical basis or realize the disaster that the terror group had unleashed upon Gaza.
Social media, protests, and other spaces quickly filled up with pro "resistance" symbolism that was deeply hurtful to Jews and Israelis who had just experienced the worst single-day massacre since the Holocaust. Incendiary rhetoric became the norm, and the word Zionist became a slur meaninglessly thrown around to denigrate anyone who remotely cared about Jewish safety or Israel's right to exist.

Pro-Palestine This Is The Result Of Your Toxic Bigotry And Activism
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's funny she was on your side and you went after her after you thought she was Pro-Israel I don't see this on the Pro-Israel side you demonize. It just shows how toxic you are and this movement is based on extreme self-righteous bigotry dressed up as social justice. And in my opinion even those who condemned this would support it if she was actually Pro-Israel because you guys are sociopaths who lack any real compassion and love hurting anyone you deem as morally inferior to yourselves. It really just shows how bigoted anti-zionism is and I hope your movement is seen as the hate movement it is someday. Throw the words pro-genocide and pro-child killing around to justify your rotten support but the more your scumbag behavior is revealed the more it shows that you keep anti-semitism alive more than ironically the white supremacists can.

In case there is any doubt:
This blog is pro-Palestine. This blog is against antisemitism and believes you can be against the colonialism of Israel without being anti-Jewish. This blog doesn't support the Hamas but 100% believes the main terrorists are the Israeli soldiers and politicians waging war on an innocent people and there is too much focus on the Hamas and not enough on Israel soldiers aggressively killing innocents. This blog doesn't believe there is an Israel-Palestine war but there is an active genocide occurring, as "war" or "conflict" implies two equal or somewhat equal sides engaging.

I noticed something today: there's something so striking and powerful about the mundane.
Like, for example, I saw a post about Palestinian people from 2013; they were enjoying a day at the beach. You can see a father playing with his baby and there's a big crowd behind them, and they're all smiling. It reminded me of my childhood summer holidays.
And it impacted me so much more than all the traumatic pics of children bleeding out in their crying parents' arms.
Now, don't get me wrong: triggering pictures have an impact as well. But is it always a good/helpful impact? This is what happens when I see those: it terrifies me, angers me, saddens me, which is what it aims for, shock value.
But then, I stare, my heart starts racing and I get sick, and I turn off the Social Media and reflect in silence and eventually, I don't do anything because my brain would rather forget. This is selfish, this is human.
Because I can't relate to it, and what I can't relate to I can't understand. And it's so hard to do something about what you can't understand, isn't it? I mean, what kind of a person would treat a child like that? Would even think of doing something so awful, or, on the contrary, think so little about the result that in the end, they choose to do it anyway?
Then, I saw that happy, mundane picture, which is such an unusual way of sharing awareness because people assume that you will want to think about that video of a child bleeding out long enough to do something about it. Which doesn't happen because if it did, then we'd probably get results.
I'm not guilt-tripping/gas-lighting anyone, cause those posts are still important. Everyone has different reactions to everything. So keep posting those, keep sharing and reblogging those. But don't stop there.
I haven't been happy in such a long time. Summer holidays at the beach when my father was still an important part of my life? Those I can relate to. Cause they remind me that what the Israeli government is doing to Palestinian people isn't happening on another planet. They remind me that they're just like us: they had happy days and now it's all gone to shit. Except that their bad days aren't just bad days, they're Hell on Earth.
On another note: pro-Israeli should really stop treating this genocide like it's a football game, and anti-semites using the pro-Palestine "title" to "justify" their behavior/opinions.

the FBI was already investigating the Winder, GA school shooter a year ago and did nothing. they get onto Cop City & Pro-Palestine protestors for less than that, calling them "domestic terrorists." and you're only called that if you protest against the system.

Hey, just in case you somehow didn't realize this, I am pro-Palestine (no, that doesn't mean I'm pro-HAMAS, they're still very much a kidnapping terrorist organization). If you support what Israel is doing in any way or think it's justified, unfollow and block me right now.

I feel like literally all of these "Dont vote" posts really just outright ignore half of the voting issues on the table, instead focusing on the things where Biden and Trump ARE functionally similar. Which yeah, they are similar in foreign policy, support of police and military, and the border in mexico! and thats fucking bad! But there's also the environment (Where Biden is much better), trans and queer rights (Where Biden is much better), transportation (Where Biden is much better), and labor rights (Where Biden is INFINITELY better). And it pisses me off that if you bring up any of these you get told you dont care about the parts where Biden is as bad as Trump, that somehow I'm *OKAY* with the situation in Palestine, but not okay with my own safety being threatened as a trans woman. When in fact I have donated to Gaza funds, I have made and distributing pro-Palestine pins to everyone I know, I've been to protests, the whole shebang! Hell, I've been protesting for Palestine since BEFORE MOST OF YOU KNEW WHAT IT WAS! I've been protesting for TWENTY YEARS!!! But because I am willing to admit there's more at play than Palestine, including at least one topic (environment) which could DESTROY THE FUCKING EARTH, I'm immediately a genocide apologist. How about go fuck yourselves.

Support For Palestine - No $$$ Needed!
Firstly, I highly recommend This Site, That Will Donate With One Click! (Seriously, no signing up, no inputing information, no costs, just press the button, I used it myself and you can revisit it every 24 hrs! So try to bookmark it or keep the tab open!)
And secondly, I recommend contacting your representatives in government and advocating for the millions of innocents currently facing danger in the Gaza Strip.
Joseph Biden, in a recent address, acknowledged that the "overwhelming majority of Palestinians had nothing to do with Hamas". I believe this time, right now, is our chance to try and break through our decades long, wrongfully given, support of the Ethnic Cleansing of the Gaza Strip. So I urge you, anyone with even just the time to spare, to try. Plead. Demand. At the worst, you tried and lost a little bit of time. At the best... maybe some people don't die.
So, I wrote a twt thread with instructions/advice for American Residents to reach out to their local representatives as simply, easily, and quickly as possible, and I wanted to share that same info here. I promise I only wants a few minutes of your time.
You can use this White House Contact Page to send one message to Biden and another to Harris. Just fill in your info and you can either write your own message, or feel free to copy and paste mine (it'll be at the bottom of this post)! The focus is first demanding that the US withdraws its support of the Israeli State.
Next, you can use this Common Cause page and instantly get all the information to reach out to your local representatives, it even tells you which committees they sit on! Just put in your address and it'll use that to find which jurisdictions you're in and provide links to all their contact pages. Again, fill in your info, some of mine also required a Topic, so I selected either "Foreign Relations/Affairs" or "Civil Rights and Humanities" and put in my message.
I clicked through all of mine, sent in my messages, used the exact same ones for all of them, only adding an additional note for my most direct representative as I grew up in the same town and wanted to express that to hopefully assist in drawing on his humanity, and it only took me about 30 minutes to get through.
Personally, I wanted to scream and rage and throw my whole beating angry heart at them and their gross, racist bigotry that allowed them to not only neglect the issue of the Israeli Occupation, but fund it. The US has been aiding Israel in their ceaselessly cruel genocide against the Palestinian people, and I'm sure it lights a white-hot fury in many of us. But, I wrote this plea with as much restraint and grace as I could bring myself to allow, if only for the sake of them possibly listening instead of tuning it out.
My statement -
Subject : We Cannot Support a Genocidal Ethnic Cleansing
To the Office of聽 _________ -聽
I am pleading with the governing powers in place to help the people of Palestine. The government in Israel has said not only with their actions, by committing multitudes of War Crimes and breaking the Geneva Convention repeatedly, but even in their own words that they intend to entirely decimate and wipe out the citizens of Gaza. They have already killed and injured thousands in only these last few days - to say nothing of the past 7 decades they have spent doing the very same - and this devastation is a human rights violation like something we have never seen to this degree being supported and under-reported. Especially by the American Government, which has always held its citizens to the belief that they are a good and just organization that stands for humanity wherever it can.聽
We have already lost so many innocents in Palestine, but there are still so many that can be spared and saved if our government can withdraw its support of the Israeli Occupation. If they can inform their citizens of the truth that has been happening for so, so very long.
The U.S. has been wrong in its history of supporting and ignoring the cruelty that has been taking place for so long. But only by righting ourselves, by admitting and accepting that the financial aid we've sent has, at this point, become a sunken investment without the extermination of the Palestinian people. It hurts to lose so much money, it hurts to admit we've been on the wrong side of history, but the only way to stop the damage from growing exponentially worse, is to address it honestly now.聽
This is not about Judaism. This is not about Jewish people by ethnicity or religious affiliation. This is not about Nazism or Antisemitism.
This is about the colonizing power of the IDF that has been ignored and allowed for almost a century.
Please. Try to save some of them before it's too late.
This comes from a concerned citizen who is feeling extremely devastated by the state of things currently.聽
As a human being, who I hope cares for the lives of fellow human beings, we cannot allow this to happen. Least of all with our seal of approval.聽
