Minami : C'est mieux qu'ils aient été adoptés avant que nous nous soyons trop attachés à eux.

Torao : C'est vrai. Je crains que nous aurions été trop occupés pour prendre soin d’eux.

Torao : Et puis si ils tombaient malades, on aurait pu rater les symptômes.

Torao : Ils ont maintenant une nouvelle maison, prêt à commencer une nouvelle vie.

Minami : Oui. Comme nous.

Minami : Par ailleurs, Inumaru-san est allergique aux chats. Pensez-vous que cela ait été difficile pour lui ?

Minami :

Torao : Ouais. Il devait porter des lunettes de soleil et un masque quand il allait à l'agence, ce devait être dur pour lui.

Minami : Je crois que je ne pourrais jamais oublier la façon dont Isumi-san a dit : “Tu dois te sentir comme une célébrité à te montrer ainsi dans ta propre agence ! Quel égocentrique !” en le voyant.

Torao : Mais, il est vraiment une célébrité.

Minami : Il avait un air boudeur et semblait imbu de lui-même, mais c’était en fait un bon garçon qui venait toujours vers moi quand je l’appelais.

Torao : J’ai beaucoup de questions a posé, mais d’abord, dis-moi les noms des autres chatons.

Minami : Le chaton enjoué et énergique s’appelait Toma. Et celui qui était capricieux et collant s’appelait Haruka.

Minami : Et pour finir, le chaton qui s’occupait toujours des trois autres et agissait comme leur parent adoptif s’appelait Shiro.

Torao : Shiro, le parent adoptif… ?

Torao : … Attends, ce n’est pas le plus important. Pourquoi tu les as baptisés après nous ??

Minami : J’ai choisi ses noms pour qu’on ne s’y attache pas trop.

Torao : C’est plutôt le contraire ! Cela rend les choses plus difficiles, si tu veux mon avis !

Minami : Néanmoins, comme j’ai remarqué que le nombre de jouets augmentait à chaque fois que j’allais prendre soin d’eux, je suppose que c’était déjà trop tard.

Minami : Torao a adoré la souris en plastique que vous avez apporté.

Torao : C-Comment tu savais que c’était moi… ?

Minami : Je vous ai vu jouer avec les chatons et j’ai décidé de vous laisser tranquilles en fermant silencieusement la porte.

Torao : Tu as fait quoi ?!

Minami : Vous aviez l’air de tellement vous amuser, après tout.

Minami : J’ai une vidéo de Torao, Haruka, Toma et Shiro qui jouent avec. Vous n’étiez pas là ce jour-là donc je l’ai enregistré, je vous le montrerai demain, lors de l’enregistrement pour l’Idole Star.

Torao : Mh, je voudrais bien le regarder.

autumn was your favorite season for a very long list of reasons.

first of all, its beauty had no comparison. watching the leaves change colors from emerald to cherry red all over the course of a couple weeks was a sight you could never tire of, in awe of nature’s power over its creations.

secondly, the anticipation for halloween was impossible to ignore, and you already had both your costume picked out and a list of activities to take part in the moment the calendar turned october first.

and lastly, the flavors that arose during the chilly season were absolutely exquisite. a hot apple cider for those cold afternoons, or a slice of pumpkin pie made by your one and only personal chef.

“ah, mon chou~! how about this one?” he called out, holding a pumpkin high above his head for you to see.

sanji really was a dream come true, acting as your prince during your weekly fall outings, participating alongside your autumnal activities. he would find you the most brilliantly red leaf among a raked up pile, helped to sew your matching costumes, and he would make your favorite fall treats for you! he was attentive, elegant, and the greatest boyfriend you would ever get.

“a little bigger, sweetie! i wanna do some pumpkin carving with it!” you shouted back, scouring the field for your dream pumpkin,

“oui!” he exclaimed, gently setting the pumpkin back onto the ground. 

you grabbed a nearby small pumpkin, “how about this one, sanji?” you asked, spinning it around for him to see.

“less blemishes, sweetheart! i’m looking for firm and plump!” you didn’t miss the way he wiggled his eyebrows at you, drawing an eye roll from you in response.

an hour of pumpkin judging passed between you two, and a few contenders had risen to your high standards. you carried around five tiny pumpkins in your tote bag, though sanji was aiming for ten due to luffy’s voracious appetite. sanji was hauling two perfectly symmetrical pumpkins, one for each of you to use.

the sun hadn’t quite set yet, a glow still rested on the field for you and sanji to continue picking, but the sky was slowly beginning to fill with oranges and pinks which cast a pastel shimmer of color across your face. sanji stared at your appearance from across the field, taking in the way the soft light struck your visage and framed you beautifully, like a divinity choosing to grace him with your presence. 

“you think ten will really be enough for luffy?” you shouted, picking up a pumpkin to examine it.

sanji snapped back to attention, blinking rapidly as he formulated his thoughts, “i- well i suppose no, when taking his prior portion sizes into account…and if we invite sabo and ace there as well…” 

“at least sabo has manners!” you yelled, chucking any spoiled pumpkins over your shoulder. “i once saw ace use someone else’s pants as a napkin! not even his own! can you believe that, sanji?”

sanji’s focus once again faltered, watching as your lips moved wildly in your frustrated-amused rant. god, how he wanted to kiss you right now. i mean, you both deserve a break right now, right? you’ve been working so hard these past few hours…a little break never hurt anybody, right?

you continued raving and skipped across the fields, unaware of sanji’s devious musings, searching for some more perfect pumpkins for your perfect boyfriend. your deep and intense focus on your little pumpkin hunt led to you missing your perfect boyfriend disappearing from his row of pumpkins, silently creeping up behind you. 

“oh mon ange,” he whistled, “i believe just found the prettiest pumpkin in the pumpkin patch!” his slender, long fingers wrapped around your waist, lifting you high above and eliciting a shriek.

“put me down, you sneak!” you teased, jokingly kicking your legs in an attempt to get loose of his hold.

“but then my pumpkin might run away!” he lamented, twirling you around in circles, sidestepping any precarious pumpkins in the way of his feet. 

“as if i’d run away from you,” you replied, trying to ruffle his blonde locks up in the air.

sanji contemplated your words, throwing you down into a bridal carry while he pondered your response. after a minute of totally-real reflection, he flashed you a big ol’ pout.

“you pinky promise?” he whined, kneeling to the ground with you still in his arms, slipping his arm out from under your knees to offer a pinky.

“i pinky promise, my love.” you kissed him on the forehead, causing a heavy flush to don his cheeks and he rolled around the dirt-covered fields in bliss.

“your prince is here! now what are your next commands, my liege?” he announced, dropping to one knee and kissing your hand.

“hmmm…” you brought your hand to your chin, tapping it in 'deep' thought, “you have to help me find more of your pie-pumpkins, and then we can go home and make cider!” you cheered, grasping his hand and running towards the baby pumpkins.

“anything for you, mon amour,” he swooned, watching the sun cast a luminous amber glow across your skin, “anything for you.”

“So if I win, what do I get?” 

You raised an eyebrow at Kylian, leaning on the pool cue in your hand. He looked back to you over the green felt table with love-struck eyes. 

“Mon coeur.”  

You rolled your eyes. He could be so romantic, and dramatic, especially at the wrong times. 

“Déjà j'ai ça, non?” 

He laughed, coming to stand closer to you. 

“Bien sur.”

“Then I want something else.”

He spread his hands. 

“Whatever you want, mon chou. Because there is no way you are going to win.”  

You huffed. What had started as a silly billiards game in his basement had instantly become cutthroat between you and Kylian, and now you needed something other than bragging rights to put on the line. You thought back to some Youtube videos you had seen recently, and it came to you. 

“Oh, I know! After your next goal ...” 

You told him your request and he laughed out loud. 

“Tu es sérieuxe?” 

“As a heart attack, baby.” 

“Okay, okay.” He nodded his head. “It’s your turn.” 

It was your shot, and the table was not necessarily in your favor. Still, you were determined; his staunch competitiveness was slowly having its way with you, and you hated to lose. 

Four moves later, it was still your turn, and Kylian’s face was in shock. It took all your concentration to not burst out into laughter. 

The maroon #7 was your last ball, and it was lined up in a perfect diagonal from the white cue ball. Right as you prepared to shoot, your partner came and stood behind you, unnecessarily close. 

“Kylian, what are you doing?” 

“Nothing.” He crossed his arms over his pool stick, and moved even closer. 

“Is this an intimidation tactic?”

“Je sais pas. Is it working?” 

“Hmph.” 

You turned from him and back over the table, ignoring how your legs brushed against his. 

You pulled the stick back and then pushed it forward, sending the white ball rolling. You jumped with excitement as it sank the maroon ball in with a clack. 

“Yes!”

Kylian cursed under his breath and pushed away from the table. You followed him, dancing now, and laughing in celebration of your victory. 

When you caught up to him, you jumped onto his back, wrapping him in a reluctant embrace. He scrunched up his face. 

“Come on, baby, be graceful in your defeat. Even though you look so cute when you’re angry.”

The compliment softened him, as did the one you gave him after and after, and he slowly relinquished his pout. 

“Good game.” He finally conceded, uncrossing his arms. You smirked at him. 

“When’s your next one?”

You lept to your feet as a ball from the right wing flew into the top left corner of the goal. It was the 88th minute and PSG was now up 1-0. Le Parc des Princes exploded into noise as Kylian began a victory lap, with his teammates trailing him. When he reached the sideline he slowed, preparing to do his signature jump and arm cross. Instead, he looked for you up in the boxes where you were waving. He went in for his jump then, and right after, swiped his hand once beneath his chin. 

You saw his mouth sound out the word “Period!” and you yelled it back, mimicking the motion. You couldn't believe he’d actually done the dare, but he was a man of his word if nothing else, and always respected the rules of a game. Uncontrollable laughter fell from your lips as the same amusement at you all’s silliness broke out over his face.      

You continued clapping with the rest as the refs blew the whistle, signaling the end of regulation time. Kylian looked up into the crowd once more, and blew a kiss. He caught your eye as he did, just so you knew that the appreciation was for the fans and the team, but the celebration had been just for you.

Flori is just Florian but shortened, but her last name, Mohn-Prinz means poppy prince in German. I chose poppies because they’re known for being used as a drug, specifically a sedative, and are known for their sleep-inducing properties. I thought I was pretty smart for that one. Cerise is obviously French for cherry, which fit the red theme since she’s based off of little red riding hood. Osier is a type of tree that people use for basketwork and wicker, so I thought I could tie that back to the basket little red carries.

For Nima, their first name means thread in Greek, obviously a reference to the thread the Fates cut in Hercules. Their last name, Epoche, is just a slightly altered Epoch, means a set or distinct period of time, such as an important event, which was me trying to tie the theme of time and death into their name.

I just said Yuubeni cause I wanted a yuu name that was cute. Cho or chou is butterfly in Japanese, so I altered it slightly to Chōga. I’m pretty sure it doesn’t have a distinct meaning now, but I didn’t want her name to just be straight “butterfly”.

For Brana, my new Diaval oc, her first name is taken from a Celtic god of ravens, Bran. Her last name Morry is taken from a different Celtic god of crows and ravens, The/Morrigan.

Tamaki nodded his head and passed the salt to you, but froze midway. “…Quoi?” His eyes like saucers bore holes into you.

“Quoi, ‘quoi’? Tu peux passer le sel?” Reiterating your request, you kept your hands outstretched to the salt Tamaki was holding out, pretending like this was normal.

Your boyfriend, Tamaki Suoh, while being Japanese he’s also half French. Living in France for most of his life with his mother before moving to Japan to join Ouran High School, he’s quite fluent in French. Time to time the eccentric blond would drop word in French whenever he spoke, which made him seem more like a princely gentleman from France than the childish dork he actually is.

Since Ouran is an elite school for the rich, students being able to speak French wasn’t quite surprising, but you.. oh you, the transfer student along with Haruhi, he was not expecting such fluency from you.

“You- Tu- Tu parle la Français!?” He scrambled, sitting up and grabbing your shoulders from across the table. The rest of the Ouran Host Club members were here too, since he decided that it was normal to bring friends along in your dates.

“You didn’t know?” Honey-Senpai gulped the cake down, his sweet voice being the first one to pop up.

The orange haired twins leaned on either side of Tamaki’s shoulders, smiles wide like Cheshire Cat. “Hmm, flustered, boss~?”

Tamaki pushed the twins off, and instead grabbing your hand, the salt now forgotten. There were hearts in his eyes, and his face gained an ambre of pink hues.

You laughed, amused by his reaction. “Oui, mon amor, je parle la Français. J’ai étudie la Français dans mon école précédente.”

“Ahhh incroyable ! Je suis très heureux… Très heureux!” He exclaimed repeatedly. You were about to say that you weren’t very fluent in it, and that you were still learning, but the blonde cut you off and went on a whole rant in French. You caught a couple of words like “ma petite chou” and.. wait never mind, it was basically just him squealing. The rest of the Host Club came to an agreement to leave the two love birds (Tamaki and you) alone for a sweet time.

With an abrupt kiss, he finally shut up. “Mignon~” Tamaki turned red and pouted, while your joyous laughter filled the air. The rest of the date went by smoothly, and ended with buying tickets to the next plane to France.

☆ demon ML comes to the human world disguised as a high school student to complete a test to become the next demon lord and the FL has never had friends before and couldn't read any romantic (or warning) signs if they were printed on the inside of her eyelids. ☆ i wish i could read this for the first time again tbh. FL gets a job as a live-in housekeeper for a famous author (ML) to help pay back her dad's debts. ML is icy and distant, but FL has a heart of gold fr. This series made me laugh and cry numerous times and reading the last chapter was so bittersweet because i loved getting a conclusion but didn't want it to end yk? (from the same author as hirunaka no ryuusei and uruwashi no yoi no tsuki so no surprise it's 10/10)

And as a bonus, these aren’t at all “official” yet but the more I read for some manhua the more I’m tempted to write fics for them… For example, a fic for Blemishing the Contaminated or My Lovely Troublemaker season 2 would be so cute, even if I don’t exactly have any clear or obvious ideas for them. 🥺
