"Why don't we talk anymore?"
I stopped loving you, because you kept bringing me strawberry milkshakes.
But the issue is not that I hate strawberry,
It's that I hate milkshakes.
They are cold,
Shaken
They have an unpleasant texture
They hurt my head
You know this
all of this,
But when I try to remind you,
You force a straw into my mouth—
and tell me to drink.
You never listen
You hear me
You watch me talk
But you never listen.
That's why you'll read this
And tell me
“But you love strawberry!”
Instead of
“I'm sorry, you don't like milkshakes.”
But even then
Even now
Did you never realize
I was never talking about milkshakes?

Gleam
What happens when a star falls?
Or implodes—
Shattered into less than a shard?
—scatters the globe?
I'm gone in the wind...
Never knew how to stick,
Or had a will past the fifth—
So my stomach gets sick,
When the bottle is licked...
'Clean'.
Wonder how the glass gets its sheen,
When the sun sets...
How do souls appear to be seen,
Amongst all the unrest?
Landscapes are never quite beached,
So I'm always under duress—
Until I'm let go to run free,
Captured in the picturesque...
My petals plucked me,
Stem's stuck in bleeding effect.
Roots are never ingrained,
So my heart isn't worth the invest
—Just dissect,
Let it lay:
All my organs displayed,
None of them are in red—
But a cold indigo.

White Knuckles
I'm turning into the brown sugar of your eyes, hoping you will sit with me just the same as you did with your sister. Beside swallowing lakes, an island asleep in the middle.
You are walking on the tracks, shoes caught in planks, a dying oak covered in a glorious gown of moss. I am sinking into every step, pebbles jumping from the back of my heels.
Say it to me again, how you would disappear for hours at a time even though you were sitting right there.
White knuckles chewed on by crooked teeth. An outburst of rage, a flickered blue on your tongue was how I knew you were there, somewhere deep inside your own head.
Say it to me again, the collapse of your state like any other disastrous thing. Sit with me beside this body, the headline: an unwelcome guest.
A guarantee will not be peace, but one clear breath.

How to Blog
This is a post about how to blog, how to start a blog, how to run a blog, how to be a blogger. Some of us have the desire to start blogging, but just don’t know where to start or how to stay consistent. This is NOT where I come in. 😅 Please be aware, this post is strictly for entertainment purposes. And probably just my own entertainment at that, since I do not blog consistently nor…

Look at the stars
Look at the stars
Specks of brilliance
strewn across inky black
An eternal
and untouchable presence
Look at the stars
Scribbled by messy hands
and wandering minds
Unique as the real thing
In the minds
of even the most bored
Look at the stars
Hidden everywhere in life
In the eyes of our most adored
In our veins, flows stardust itself
Look at the stars
In everything you touch
You will find a piece of a star
Or what remains of it
They are the very blood of the universe

Regret
If the grass is always greener,
Why's everything looking dead?
Why can't I ever feel freer?
Why's everything worse in my head?
Feel like a cyborg hijacked—
I'm feeling meaner,
daily since I BoJack'ed,
Any chance of getting cleaner...
Know it's my own fault I'm getting whacked,
Can't ever look back...
Self reflections of an addict,
Trying to wash away harm they impacted—
It's all just too refracted...
Wish my soul wasn't in so many fractions,
So I could just unpack it—
But that's only helping myself...
I don't just want to help
Myself—but everyone I've come upon,
Whether it was for a minute or a second—
I'm only wishing well.

"I wanted to be unforgettable. Indelible. I wanted to haunt their hearts and minds—to be everywhere and nowhere, spectacular and out of reach. Only in the chaos did it dawn on me. Being remembered is not the same as being missed."
