There will be maybe one or two people who will enter your life and leave their mark on you throughout your lifetime. Those kind of encounters you never forget them.

Jaun Eliya passed away and left all of his sadness to us;
“Kya bataun ki mar nahin pata, Jeete ji jab se mar gaya hun main.”

As if I don't exist.
Replayed memories.
Reliving my trauma.
Getting talked over.
Pushed far to the side.
Forgotten existence.
Vying for attention.
Resulted in wounds.
And then I sit by myself,
Licking my internal wounds.
Now they sit at the table,
And I'm raging over here.
Anger was always my sadness,
Brutalized by my trauma,
Until she transformed into rage.
And I seeth, and seeth, and seeth,
Then, at the very end of the day,
When the lights in the house are off,
I cry under my covers, silently, hauntingly.
The child I still am, she sobs,
"It's scary to be treated,
As if I don't exist."

"Today, I stand for love.. I may not know just yet how to trust it.. but I know it's right, I stand with empathy, compassion, connection.. Maybe I'm a fool, maybe I'm one of none, I can't help who I am."

I know myself enough to understand my worth,
and my peace is worth the leaving.

The Letter to the Sun: Eclipsed
Imagery for this poem☀️🌙
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I watch as laughter illuminates your cheeks,
rosy and bright, pulling me from shadow.
Your sun rays carve through my clouds like a blade,
warm as the light after a rainy day.
You, with the warmth I never knew I needed—
me, the quiet storm you calm with a glance.
I fear your light will scorch me to ash,
leaving only shadows where I once stood.
Yet as I orbit you, I drink your warmth—
a flood of golden rays, my soul’s elixir.
I ache for the caress of your fiery blaze,
each sun ray like fingertips grazing my face.
I want to drift between you and the Earth, my dear Sun.
In those rare eclipses, when you pull me close,
I feel whole, shadows dissolving under your pulse.
My dear Sun, let’s eclipse again.
If I could reach into your embrace,
I’d weave your flaming rays around me,
letting your light seep into my skin—
a desperate attempt to merge with you.
Each night, I crave your heat pressing
against my cold, dark surface,
the way starlight drapes over my skin.
My dear Sun, let’s eclipse again.
I wait for the brush of your light,
a searing kiss planted on my lips—
fleeting, yet strong enough to fill me whole.
Then the sun comes up, and the moon goes down.
I would give up every star in the sky,
just to feel your light rest against me a moment longer.
My dear Sun, the brightest jewel in my galaxy—
will we meet again, or will I remain in your shadow?
Note🌗
This poem is my original work. Please don’t repost or use it without asking me first—thank you!
This poem personifies the Sun and Moon to explore themes of longing and desire, connection and distance, vulnerability and fear, and a touch of unrequited love—emotions that are deeply woven into the human experience. If this poem resonated with you in any way, I’d love to hear your thoughts. Thank you so much for reading.

Savoring every moment
I can’t help but think the ones around me now won’t be at my funeral.
This chapter of our lives, brief and fleeting, will come to an end.
So I'll absorb and enjoy these fleeting moments, instead of being glued to that damn phone, like a whispered secret before it disappears.
So I'll savor each moment before it’s gone.

It takes a moment to empty four cups Safety in the suffering I know Yet with ten audacious swords I can strike down solitude; my foe I always taught that asking is the greatest thing Yet fail to do just that Most days that is But I asked to kiss you, and at your feet - patiently sat To pray, postulated in prostration Allow the unknown sufferings of being known Experiences in life are fickle Is kindness reaped - kindness sown? She is exactly the poem I never thought to write But, after all these years, I’ll be alright?

Why do we abandon things we once loved, for someone else? Why do you skip the song now, that you used to cherish once, just because it reminds you of someone? Why did you left the hobbies you couldn't live without, just because you had fun doing it with someone else? Why do we start avoiding things that made us feel alive once, just because it's associated with something painful you don't want to reminisce about? Why do we tend to forget that those things were ours first, we loved them despite of everything and that we should love them irrespective of everything!
