Wanted to make a positivity post regarding some things that we see fake-claimed based on our experiences.

So shout out to systems who:

Are mostly fictives!

Can sometimes/frequently willingly switch!

Have low amnesia barriers!

Have little to no difference in how alters type/speak!

Aren't entirely sure about being a system!

Are certain in being a system!

Speak aloud more often then internally!

Have/had maladaptive daydreaming!

Split due to hyperfixations!

Have had alters fuse due to trauma!

Openly switch in public!

Split tons of headmates at once!

Have had some sort of communication since childhood!

Don't want to fuse!

Don't have access to their headspace memory!

Have triggers that pull alters OUT of front!

Believe your own experiences! If you feel like you might be plural, you probably are.

Not to be a BUMMER but honestly part of what makes me miss my headmates so much is that when they aren’t around and we aren’t switching as frequently as normal it makes me like…..miss my plurality I guess. Like it feels like a part of me is missing in a way. I know I’m still plural but it’s not like…THERE yk, it’s not active and it’s just like what the fart where’s my plurality wtf I feel incomplete without the other people who are like part of me but also not me at all does this make sense

Our system decided that we’re just gonna be completely open even in public about being plural, and certain alters are going to hide/be anonymous to those who aren’t our husband and QPP. We really think this will help us to not feel so ashamed of our plurality and CDD.

We don't believe we have DID or OSDD, but we are plural, and it does seem like our trauma affected our plurality.

We won't argue with anyone trying to say that we actually have DID/OSDD. It doesn't even really matter to us that much whether we do or do not. All that really matters is that we are plural.

We have had our moments of thinking that our trauma wasn't "bad enough" and shit like that. So, this post definitely helps a bit.

Remember, comparing trauma is not good for anyone.

whenever I hear people say this I always wonder, what metric are you using? your tolerance for how things affect you now as a teenager, or adult?

something that you experienced as a child is going to use a completely different metric! a child's brain is much less developed than an adult's and what they're able to handle is much less. for instance maybe you like horror movies? you probably can watch them without even getting scared! but if you watched the same film at 7 years old it would likely be a lot different!!

you don't need extreme trauma in order to have DID. it just needed to be extreme enough to YOU as a child, that's all. You got bullied at school? that's enough to develop DID! you had a disorder from an early age that made life hard? that's enough to develop DID! your parents were neglectful? that's enough to develop DID!

there's no such thing as gold star DID you don't need to have gone through the worst of the worst. there's no need for trauma olympics, if you have DID you have DID and that's all!

hey friendly reminder that not all plurals and systems arent the same... and if you come across a plural or system that has a different experience than you, or something you dont understand, nows a good time to learn something new ! opening up yourself to new experiences and knowledge only helps ! /gen /gen
