Love love love characters that present themselves as emotionally open social butterflies but the more you see of them the more obvious it is that they’re the most closed off fuckers in the story. Sure, they want to help you with your personal problems and messy emotions, but if you turn that shit back on them, they’ll shut down or deflect every time. Why are you sticking your nose in their business anyway? It’s not like it matters. They’re not a person, they’re just a role being played. They’re the guy who fixes things and saves people. but we don't have motivation. at the time I'm posting this I (Nicky) have motivation to work on some profiles while listening to music. but that won't last. so I'm making this post.

We need advice, honest to god advice, about how the hell the plural community can move forward from the Sysmed anti Endo discourse because I'm seeing a serious uptick in doxx threatening, calling Endogenics predators, etc and it's starting to get seriously concerning that I'm worried that the system community won't be safe.

Even on blogs where we don't look at anti Endo tags, we still get fakeclaimed.

We need change to happen but I'm not sure what to do or how to do it since the only really organization and association has such a bad rep that even recommending them gets backlash (plural association)

wait people are threatening to doxx endogenic systems just because they're plural but not The Right Way ??? holy hell i didn't know it was *that* bad. why the hell would anyone ever do this- even if you don't agree with them, why would you attempt to actually ruin someone's life over this? that's so scary what the hell

someone who's plural that doesn't identify as traumatized and/or dissociative isn't hurting anyone good lord that's outrageous. do people not know the difference between being genuinely harmed and being annoyed or irritated or something? like being annoyed or irritated by someone doesn't mean they're genuinely hurting anyone. i hope we see way less of that the more people become aware of plurality, because that's honestly frightening

Perhaps a relatable experience, one of the things that consistent makes us feel like we’re faking is the fact we’re so good at masking that there’s different people at front.

In text you would very rarely, almost never be able to tell who was fronting. In person, most of our friends and family expect varied behaviour from us, labelling it as quirky.

We’re also fairly good at mimicry and can pretend to be/sound like/talk like the body’s default pre-syscovery.

Just some thoughts

Sending lots of care and kindness to those who froze or fawned during their trauma. Often traumatic events can be inescapable. You don't have to feel ashamed for acting in a way to protect yourself when escape was not an option.
