why does it say this about only the brave, yet louis is listed as a writer on apple music?

In October 2019, Louis stated that this was the only song of the album that he did not write on. In November 2019, the track was registered on ASCAP with Louis only listed as a performer, giving away that this would be the last track on the album. Louis does in fact have writing credits, as he later mentioned in an interview with Crash Records:

“Only the Brave” I think may have been written for Liam Gallagher. It’s the one song I didn’t write much on. It was played to me and I instantly adored it. There was talk of making it longer, but what’s great is that it’s so short, yet gets its message across so clearly.

also i’m surprised he didn’t write it, as it seems like a personal song…

Well, I think there are lots of songs that really speak to an artist, or feel like they’re about the artist’s life, but are written by other people. But I know a lot of people get annoyed when the fact that he only wrote a little on this song is brought up. To me, the fact that he wrote every song on the album except this one, but wanted it to be the final song on the album, says it was important to him. That’s all I need.

I’m reading Only the Brave by Solmussa (or, listening to the podfic by zebrastripes365, bless you) - and???? I’m????? I have no words as to how fucking good this fic is?????? And not just in a, “I’m reading a fanfic that pleasantly tickles my entertainment” kind of way, but in a “this piece of writing is so dark and twisted, hot and poetic, it’s doing something unique, and I can’t put it down” kind of way.

Just needed to say this somewhere. If you haven’t read it, do it (beware of tags and triggers though). As someone with a masters degree in literature, I hereby give this fic my full endorsement 🫡
