Thinking back to when I first started feeling like I was trans, but when I googled it in the best way I could describe (I think it was something like "Is it normal to want to be a girl") most of the results talked about it as if it was just some taboo fetish that is embarassing to think. Thinking about how I carried that on my back as a teen thinking I was some morally reprehensible freak (thanks vaguely Christian upbringing for making me have to unlearn shame btw). How I felt like my intense longing would never be realized, and would only ever exist in a realm of fantasy. I didn't want to be a sex object. I just wanted to be me. But the only sources I could find at the time were just transmisogynistic.

Transgender education is so important, even just the fact that the term "transgender" is more widely known now is a huge leap for helping trans kids find themselves.

Fun bit of etiquette difference between Reddit and Tumblr is if someone misuses a word on Reddit (wrong "their", "peak"/"pique", whatever) it's common to see someone in the replies correct it and the OP will be like "oh thank you. edited my comment to fix grammar error"

If you do that on Tumblr you get mauled with teeth.
