Caregiver Guardians Headcanons (Rise of the Guardians)
Tumblr media
Jack Frost
He loves ANY kind of game; board games, chase games, sports games, nonsense games - whatever it is, he’s happy to play it with you.
He’ll take you flying with him, but be ready for midair tricks and teasing.
On that note: pranks. Jack plays constant pranks - on you, on the other Guardians, on strangers, he just loves teasing people. He often recruits you to help play tricks.
You will NEVER be overheated again. Anytime Jack thinks you’re getting overly warm, he’ll create frost under your feet or send ice creeping up the walls.
He’s not always good at toning down his energy levels, but if you need a quiet day he’ll do his best to oblige.
North
The workshop is ALWAYS open to you. You can play with the elves, bother the Yeti, and “test” all of the toys. It can get a little overwhelming sometimes (the workshop is a very loud, busy place, after all), so you’re also welcome to retreat to North’s office if you need a break.
In his free time he enjoys carving toys and figurines out of ice, and he then imbues them with magic so they can do impossible things. Nearly every time you visit, he’ll make you something as a gift.
North will use the snowglobes to take you all over the world. Not just to other cities or countries, but to magical places no human has ever been able to see.
He is very dramatic, and loves playing pretend with you. He tends to get VERY invested in his role, to the point where his work has to be put on hold. “I can’t check naughty list now, can’t you see I am sailing this boat?”
North gives the best pep talks. He never wants you to feel like you’re anything less than amazing, and he’s wonderful at calming any fears you might have.
Bunny
The week before Easter, the Warren is insanely busy; but the rest of the time, it’s a very quiet, peaceful place. Bunny’s happy to bring you down there whenever you ask, to play or have a picnic or just enjoy the scenery.
Whenever you’re feeling down he’ll paint a few eggs for you, with your favorite colors and shapes and patterns. Then he’ll hide them where he knows you’ll find them.
He has a dozen nicknames for you, all of them affectionately teasing - ankle-biter, rugrat, nipper, etc.
He HATES cold weather… but if you really want to go out in the cold, he’ll always join you.
Any time you get tired of walking, he’ll set you on his back and run. He’s very fast, and it might be a little frightening at first, but he would never let you fall.
Tooth
Obviously she insists that you brush and floss daily, but she finds ways to make it a fun activity.
She’ll happily hold you on her hip while she’s hovering or flying near the ground. (She doesn’t like to take you too high in case you get scared.)
Out of all the Guardians, she’s the best at handling scraped knees or bumps on the head… but her bedside manner takes a little getting used to. “Oh, I know it hurts sweetie, but look! This bruise is such a pretty shade of purple!”
Tooth loves sitting with you while you’re asleep. If it weren’t for all the work she needs to do, she’d stay with you all night - she loves seeing you so peaceful and content.
Thanks to her abilities as a Guardian, she’s able to help you remember the most important moments in your life. These memories aren’t inherently good, but they are the moments that helped shape the best parts of your character. She’s happy to share them with you whenever you need them, and she’s already ready to comfort you if some of the memories cause negative feelings.
Sandy
He can help ANYONE fall asleep. Clinical insomnia, stressful day, too much caffeine - Sandy can knock you out in a moment if you want him to, with guaranteed good dreams to follow.
But, if you like staying up late, that’s fine too! Sandy is happy to take you along while he makes his rounds, showing you the night sky in different parts of the world.
He creates various animals or objects to send into people’s dreams. He’s also willing to make little toys or creatures for you to play with.
Sandy is a great listener. If you need to talk about your troubles, your bad day, your personal worries, he’s always there. Afterwards, he’ll offer to weave you a dream where things are different. Or, if you just want to get it off your chest and then move on, that’s fine too.
On a slightly related note, he’s fantastic with quiet kiddos. While the other Guardians might try to fill up silent moments with chatting, he doesn’t care if you never say a word. Your company is alway enough.

Heyy! I absolutly loe your age Regression fics, Can I request age Regression Regina, she's been regressing ever since the bus incident and only the plastics know. But Her mask slips and Janis finally sees it?
Save me(I’m fine)
Janis ‘Imi’ike x Regina George
Warnings: age regression, mentions to Regina getting hit by a bus, chronic pain
Regina goes back to the last time she’s ever felt genuine care and love from the one she misses the most
“Don’t wanna be lonely. Just wanna be yours.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Regina George never asked for help. Why would she do that? She didn’t need help— she could handle herself. Until…she got hit by a bus and cold weather makes her curl up into a ball and cry from the pain in her back. Yep, the one and only, Regina George, North Shore High’s royalty has chronic pain now. She calls it her karma. For treating people like shit. Now the universe has had enough and was letting her suffer, for the rest of her life.
It’s been four months since the accident, give or take. She’s spent about half the time dealing with flare ups and the other half being in a constant baseline pain. Somewhere would always hurt. It affected her quality of life despite medications being available. She learnt not to rely on it, but also because regular ones barely took the edge off while the stronger one caused her to be too unlike herself. So…what did she do? The blonde eventually realised her actions fit the coping mechanism of age regression. The first time it happened, she had no idea why she was acting the way she did. But she came across some information online that caused her to piece the puzzle together. So she kept doing that, she regresses when the pain gets bad, to help herself get through that period of time. No one knew, of course. Regina hid it. She kept it subtle too, as much as she wanted to, she didn’t get anything the little part of her wished to have.
Maybe just watching an episode of her favourite cartoon as a kid, eating her favourite childhood snack while sitting in her bed, snuggled under a fuzzy blanket with her childhood stuffed animal. Only behind the closed doors of her bedroom.
But then everything changed two months ago, Regina had slipped into that headspace while hanging out with Gretchen because she’d been on the verge of doing so all week then her Mom burst into the room and asked her a hundred and one questions, causing her to become overwhelmed and shoved into regression involuntarily. Gretchen noticed the shift in her demeanour and urged June to leave the room. As unwilling as she was, the older woman left and Gretchen swiftly shut the door. She even locked it.
“Regina…what’s the matter?” Gretchen asked hesitantly.
Regina looks back at the girl, eyes glossy as her lips quivered. She bit onto her lower lip, fingers playing with a corner of a decorative cushion in her hands.
“I don’t know.” The blonde sobbed, “I feel weird.”
Slowly, the two friends worked through this new and unfamiliar situation. Gretchen kept an eye on her, letting her do what she wanted. But she always did some quick research on her phone and came to the conclusion that Regina’s behaviour was what she suspected it to be. Age regression. Regina likely regressed to the age of a middle schooler so she could communicate pretty damn well. But Gretchen was just a little shocked that she felt safe enough to slip into the headspace, and even stayed in that headspace— playing games on her iPad, hugging a stuffed bunny and having a fuzzy blanket laid on her lap.
Gretchen has never seen this from Regina since she was actually in middle school. They became friends soon after the blonde’s falling out with Janis. Then Karen came into the picture, too.
“Regina? Do you want to eat anything? You haven’t had lunch yet?”
“I’m not hungry.”
“Your stomach just grumbled.” Gretchen said back quietly.
“Not hungry, Gretchen.”
~~~~~
Instance number two: Karen finds out two weeks later at their usual sleepover after Regina had long and tiring shifts at work consecutively for four days. Gretchen let Regina be, knowing what to expect and knowing that it was a safe and necessary thing for Regina to do that and relax…feel better. Karen was curious, and confused, but her question sets Regina off. Regina burst into tears, “Why are you so mean to me?! I just want to play my games,”
“Karen, um— hang on a minute.” Gretchen sighs, “G, it’s okay. It’s okay, she’s just curious. You don’t need to talk if you don’t feel like it, honey.”
Regina nodded tearfully, trying not to cry more. She blinks profusely, trying to get rid of the tears but they still fell. Gretchen hurriedly handed the girl some tissues and calmed her down. Karen watched the whole thing unfold, curiosity growing.
“You’re okay. I’ve got you. Okay? Just play your games, honey.”
When Gretchen sees that Regina was once again engrossed in her iPad, she excuses herself from the room with Karen— into the closet. To talk. It took Gretchen a little while to explain that so that Karen would actually understand. But ultimately, Karen couldn’t care less about it. She knew Regina could do whatever she wanted to do, whatever she needed to do. Regina was in a hell lot of pain. They knew she had to do something to feel better, and were just glad it was this. A coping mechanism that was safe…harmless.
————
“Can you call Jan?” Regina looked away from the TV.
Gretchen gulped.
Jan…like, Janis?
“You want me…to call, Janis?” Gretchen asked for clarification.
“Yes.” Regina confirmed, “Please?”
“Okay. I’ll— I’ll go do that. One sec.”
Gretchen walks into the closet with her phone, sitting down on a stool. She scrolled through her contacts, thumb hovering over Janis’ contact. She clicks on it, the line rings as she holds her phone to her ear.
“Gretchen?” The other girl asked, “Is everything okay?”
“Sorry to bother you, I know I’m one of the last people you’ll be expecting a call from but I’m fine, Regina? Not so much.” Gretchen replied.
“What’s…what’s going on?” Janis asked, clearly hesitant.
“She asked me to call you.” Gretchen revealed.
“For what?” Janis was puzzled.
“Ever since she got home from the hospital, she’s been dealing with a lot of pain and lately, she’s been using age regression as a way for her to cope.”
“So…”
“She’s regressed right now, and she asked for you. I assume she’s like 9? Or 10? She doesn’t remember what happened between you two.”
“You want me there?”
“She wants you here, I wouldn’t be asking you if isn’t going to burst into tears when I tell her no.”
“Alright, fine.” Janis sighed, defeated, “I’m on my way.”
“We’re at her house.”
“Bye.” Janis replied curtly and hung up.
Gretchen returned to Regina’s room, seeing that she and Karen were both laughing away at a comedy movie. They’ve never really gotten along like this, which was a peculiar sight for Gretchen, but she preferred it this way. No snarky comments and such…though, those have died away once Regina got out of the hospital. She wasn’t one of many words now.
“I called her for you.” Gretchen smiled. Their gazes met, Regina says, “Cool. Thanks Gretchen!”
Janis pulled up in their driveway about thirty minutes later, Gretchen sees the artist walking up to the porch so she ran downstairs to the foyer to greet her, trying to spare Janis from a possibly unwanted and stressful interaction with June. Gretchen wound up opening the front door before Janis could even knock of press the doorbell. Janis jumped, startled. “Hey.” She muttered.
“Hi.” Gretchen flashes a kind smile, “I think you two should talk.” They walk up the staircase together, Janis was taking in this environment again. One that was once so familiar…like a second home, now felt like a new city she’s never been before. The shorter girl feels a tug in her heart as a wave of sadness washed over her. So much had changed, but her heart still knew this place like the back of her own hand. With her hands in her pockets, Gretchen opened up Regina’s bedroom door. “Alright, she’s here. Karen, let’s go downstairs and get some snacks for the next movie, let these two chat for a bit.” Gretchen instructed.
“Ooh, okay.” Karen nodded eagerly, getting out of the bed, “Hi, Janis! I like the new hair colour.”
“Thanks, Karen.” Janis gave the girl a polite smile as she passed her by. Gretchen gives Janis a squeeze on the shoulder.
“Hey, Reg.” Janis walked closer, hands still shoved into her pockets. God, her heart was hammering in her chest, and she felt sick to her stomach.
“Hi, jelly bean.” Regina guffaws, waving.
Shit. That nickname. Gretchen wasn’t kidding.
Janis bites back tears as she stood next to her bed, skin touching the fabric. A chuckle falls from her lips.
“I missed you.” Regina started, “Haven’t seen you in a bit.”
That was not exactly what the blonde meant given her state of mind, but for Janis, her heart started to shatter all over again. It’s been six years…six years since she had been this close to someone she called her best friend. Someone she loved, and cared about. Someone who knew her beyond the mask, someone who knew her favourite colour of Goldfish crackers, who knew how her eyes looked like little crescents because she’d be smiling so hard, who knew she started to have this lingering pain in her side when she sneezed, who knew she hated how her Mom made fun of her for her looks and weight, who knew the darkest side of her, and never left. Until she did. Regina left. Regina, who once pinky swore they’d be friends forever, broke the promise and her heart into unmendable pieces. Tiny…tiny little pieces that were never picked up ever again, causing a wall to build up and around it.
“Why are you crying?” Regina asked innocently, eyes worried.
Janis shook her head, forcing a smile.
“Sit down with me.” Regina reached out to grab her hand, the all too familiar warmth and touch of this girl sent shocks down her spine. Janis was happy this was happening. She’s missed Regina. This Regina— the one she knew, and loved, and cherished so very much. Not the one she knew after that kiss.
“Okay.” Janis croaked, sniffling and carefully sitting down on the soft, silk sheet covered mattress.
“I must have done something wrong, Jan.” Regina started, “I haven’t seen you in such a long time. I’m sorry if I did something wrong.”
How could she answer that question? Really, how? Regina knew something was wrong, just not what was wrong. This version of Regina had no hostility towards her. This version of Regina was her Regina.
“Nothing. You did nothing wrong that we can’t fix.” Janis spoke up after a moment of silence.
Janis knew in her heart she wanted to talk to her someday, she just did not expect the conversation to start this way. After the past few years of consistent therapy sessions, Janis had wrapped her head around the reason why Regina called her names. Regina was afraid, having to accept that she herself was gay too— that the feeling was mutual. She didn’t know how to be okay with that. No one around her was okay with that. Janis knew Regina’s Mom was…homophobic. But when things went down and when she was the target of the horrendous situation, nothing else mattered but surviving. Nothing else mattered but standing up for herself instead of standing out and taking the humiliation. Janis was proud to be who she was…a hot lesbian. But seriously— A Hawaiian artist, a loving daughter and a loyal friend.
Regina was then shaking her head as though to get rid of some thoughts. Then Janis sees her blinking profusely. Then a gasp, “I hurt you. I hurt you. My best friend. Because — because I scared myself. You didn’t deserve that.”
The vulnerability of it all let Janis know that the girl before her was still regressed. Just no longer in the headspace of nine or ten years old.
“I’m sorry, Janis. I’m so sorry. Please. I’m sorry.” Regina hiccuped, “I’m sorry, will you forgive me?”
Janis got what she wanted all this time. An apology— a sincere apology. And this was just that. A tear rolled down Janis’ cheek,she nodded, “We’re fine.”
Regina leaned forward to engulf the brunette into a hug, “Thank you. Oh my god, thank you.”
The dam breaks, Janis let herself cry as she rubbed the taller girl’s back, “That’s all I ever wanted to hear.”
————
A few minutes later, Gretchen came back upstairs with Karen bearing a snack platter— strawberries, M&M’s and Colors Goldfish crackers. Regina immediately picked out Janis’ favourite one and gave it to her. Janis laughs tearfully, “Thanks, Reggie.”
Regina grins, “You’re welcome, jelly bean.”
“Aw.” Gretchen remarked softly. “So…G, you wanna pick out what movie we’re going to watch next?”
“Mhm.” Regina nodded, glancing at Janis, “Bolt. Her favourite movie.”
“That’s a good one.” Gretchen put the movie on, settling back down on the bed.
“I love that movie! The dog’s so cute.” Karen quipped.
“I know, right?” Regina agreed.
Janis stayed until the movie ended, then told them she’d be going. “Noooo.” Regina gasped, “Can you stay a little longer?”
“Um, G— she’s busy.” Gretchen intervened.
Janis froze in her tracks, looking at all three of them one by one. “One more movie?” Regina requested.
Janis inhaled deeply, “Okay, one more movie. Then I gotta head home, Reg.”
“Alright.” Regina agreed to that, “Just one more movie.”
“Do you wanna stay for dinner?” Gretchen asked, “June’s going out in a bit for the night. So it’s just going to be us. We’re calling for takeout.”
“I really have to get home in time for dinner later. I promised my dad I would be home to eat dinner with him.” Janis explained, “Maybe next time?”
Gretchen nodded in understanding, “That’s okay. We get it. Also, Regina, time to take another pill.”
“Ugh, I hate it.” Regina grumbled.
Janis looked at the girls playfully, “Take it and I’ll come by again tomorrow.”
Karen laughs, Gretchen was…impressed. She was glad they worked it out and could be around each other again. Gretchen could only hope Regina would remember that they’d worked things out after getting out of the headspace. Regina took her next dose of the meds while Gretchen and Karen looked through a food delivery app so they could order dinner. Janis just sat there, but for once— she felt comfortable in their presence.
While watching the movie, Janis felt a hand on her thigh. It was Regina. Janis wanted to move at first so the hand would fall off her leg. But she didn’t, since the other girl didn’t seem like she wanted to take her hand off. So, she just let it happen. What really caught her off guard was towards the end of the movie, Regina had nodded off— her head was now resting on Janis’ shoulder instead of Gretchen who was sitting on her other side.
“Gretchen.” Janis said through gritted teeth, “She’s asleep. I should get going.”
“Yeah. Of course.” Gretchen noticed how Regina was basically snuggled up against Janis. She wraps her arms around the blonde carefully, allowing Janis to get out of her spot. Janis quickly left after saying good night to them and drove home right on time for dinner with her Dad like she’d promised.
Honestly, today was a lot to process. From Gretchen’s phone call to Regina falling asleep on her shoulder like old times. Was this really it? It was so much easier than she pictured it to be in her head. Way too easy. But maybe sometimes, things get to where they need to be, in completely unexpected ways. And it doesn’t have to be hard. Sure it was an absolute shock, but she got through that. She got through much worse. Janis was proud of how she handled everything today— she did her best. And took risks. Maybe life wasn’t all bad, a little bit of kindness could go a long way. Was she finally getting her best friend back? Janis didn’t know for sure, but she had something she didn’t have for awhile: hope.
Baby Steps
Prompt: First time regressing with Rosalie and Emmet.
Notes: GN!Reader. Mentions of pull-ups. Fluff and Angst
Rosalie and Emmet would be the first to admit that they were desperate for a child. Despite knowing that it wasn’t possible, they still yearned for a baby.
During an attempt to curve this need, they stumbled upon age regression.
Suddenly, it felt like all their problems could be solved.
An adult human, who would regress to being little… if all went well the couple could turn their little and keep them forever!
And that is where you came into their lives.
It had taken years for them to find you, as they were confined to Forks. But when you came over as a transfer student, Edward was able to identify you easily; your worries about slipping and regressing on your first day practically screaming over the others thoughts.
Rosalie worked hard to gain your trust as a friend, and then as a lover to her and Emmet. They were never sexual with you, not that you cared.
They spent time with you, helped you with your studies. Emmet loved to do things for you- in an attempt to get you to slip with them. He would say things like, “ahh-ah, let me get that for you baby. You are much too small” or “You sure you don’t want to snuggle up for a nap? You have been working so hard and your little eyes must be so tired”.
Rosalie was just as bad. Cupping your cheeks to pepper kisses over your face, buying water bottles with the pop up straws for you to drink from - they were so similar to your sippy cups. She would spoil you with cute outfits and loved to dress you up so you could show Emmett.
The rest of the Cullens didn’t seem to care about what Rosalie and Emmet were doing. Alice had whispered assurances to the couple when they felt like things weren’t going to plan. Jasper actually didn’t mind spending time with you, but only really did it when you were working on your maths work. Carlisle and Esme always doted on you, and welcomed you with open arms.
In fact, it was Carlisle who introduced Rosalie and Emmett into the world of being a Caregiver to an age regressor.
It took 4 months into the relationship for you to slip with Rosalie and Emmett, and it was completely accidental.
The others had gone off to visit their friends up North, leaving Rosalie and Emmett with an empty house for the week.
You went over on the Friday, with plans to stay the whole week. On Saturday morning, you woke up between Rosalie and Emmett. You were in your fluffy pyjamas, a must have to keep you warm because they were cold.
There was a little nagging voice at the back of your head as you nuzzled into Emmetts chest, whining softly as you woke up.
Immediately, strong arms wrapped around you, pulling you close and a nose presses into your hair.
“Morning little bubba, you sleep ok?” Emmetts rumbling voice quickly soothed that nagging voice and you let out a little babble in response.
Usually you woke up quickly, turning to lie on your chest so you could see both of them- so this automatically caught their attention and the two vampires shared an excited look.
“Is our little darling still sleepy?” Rosalie asked softly, pressing herself to your back as she tucks some loose strands of hair behind your ear.
You just hum softly, struggling to wake up. You often regressed between the ages of 3-6, but sometimes you could be as little as 1, where all you wanted was to be held.
Still being so sleepy, you missed the conversation happening over your head.
“Rose, I think we should put our little one in a pull up. I’m not sure how old they are feeling”
Emmett muttered, holding you close as Rosalie nodded in agreement.
“I know our little one is usually no younger than 3 when we watch them at nights- but I think they are feeling very little today”
Rosalie pressed a kiss to the top of your head.
“Go make a bottle, I will get them changed”
Rosalie and Emmett share a quick kiss before Rosalie takes you in her arms and steps into the normally locked side room that they had turned into a nursery for this exact moment.
You whine a little and babble softly as Rosalie carries you through, setting you down on the changing mat.
She hums softly, keeping you calm and settled as she starts to undress you. The pyjama trousers come off easily but there is a bit of wiggle needed to get the top off.
Before long Rosalie pulls a pull-up over your legs and smoothes the band as it settles in place, making sure it fits properly. After that, she takes out a Winnie the Pooh onesie, with the feet and hands covered so that you don’t accidentally scratch yourself.
“Such a good little baby, hmm? Let’s get some warm milk to fill that little tummy. Then you can cuddle with us all day”
Rosalie gets a blanket and wraps it around you, making sure to swaddle you tightly. Once you are swaddled and cozy, Rosalie takes you into her arms again, rubbing a hand over your back as she carries you downstairs.
Emmett is waiting with a bright smile, bottle in his hand as he waits for Rosalie to come down with you.
“Look at you! A cozy little bubba”. Emmet smiles as he takes a seat and takes you from Rosalie’s arms and wrapped an arm around your blanketed body, leaning you into him as he brought the bottle of warm milk to your lips.
The warm milk filling your belly brought your mind into focus, and your breathing steadied with each sip.
Everything seemed to come crashing down.
Seeing your reflection in the mirror opposite the sofa with the Winnie the Pooh onesie on, the bottle that was in your mouth and the paci that is secured with a clip to your onesie. The feel of the pull-up….
You panicked.
Tears streamed down your cheeks as you turn your head away from Emmett as he tried to feed you.
Before you could even take a breath to let out a cry, Emmett had you in his arms, standing up as he rocks you while shushing you.
“It’s ok bubba, daddy is right here. It’s all ok, I got you”
Usually his voice soothed you effortlessly, but now it just wound you up more. Hearing Emmett call himself ‘daddy’ had that nagging voice screaming in your head again.
They were going to hate you! They probably thought that you were weird!
“Baby? Little one, it’s ok. It’s ok. Me and Emmett understand that you are feeling little.”
Rosalie’s sweet voice fills your ears as she brushes away your tears with her thumbs.
“Me and Em are caregivers, darling. No need to be all upset, we aren’t going anywhere.”
With each word you start to calm down a little bit, understanding that they don’t think that you are weird.
“We have been wondering when you would mention it love bug, but waking up with you feeling oh so little was the best.” Emmett says with a smile, kissing your cheek.
“You seemed very little this morning baby, so we just wanted you to feel safe and comfortable. We’re sorry if-“
“Em, our little one isn’t big enough for a complicated discussion like that.” Rosalie chided gently.
“Let’s wash your pretty little face, and then we can make another bottle and put a movie on, how does that sound darling?”
You blink at Rosalie, trying to figure out how to say what you were feeling, but she was right. You were too little to express that. Instead, you nod your head, tucking it back under Emmetts chin as he chuckles and rubs your back soothingly.
Emmett takes you to their bathroom and gently washes your face with a washcloth, making funny faces in an attempt to get you to laugh.
Only after you had spent a minute or so giggling did he take you back down stairs where Rosalie had your new bottle of warm milk.
They sat on the large sofa, Rosalie tucked into Emmetts side as his arm slung around her shoulder, his gaze fixed on you as Rosalie gave you your bottle, smiling again you as you drank it.
Before long your tummy was full of warm milk and your eyes felt heavy. You were now sucking on the nub of the empty bottle and Rosalie pulled it away and replaced it with your paci- soothing you before you could even whine.
You fell asleep like that, in Rosalie’s arms. Curled up and softly sucking on your paci, all the big emotions from earlier leaving you exhausted in the arms of your mama and daddy.
Rosalie and Emmett finally felt complete. They finally had their little one, and God help anyone who tries to hurt you.
So, lore?
Lo'en is a half elf and across the world there are designated elven kingdoms. One of them! Where she was born and her mother (elf) still lives, is frigid and in the north. Humans still have an odd tradition for Santa and so she hides her slightly pointed ears so that she doesn't have to sit through ANOTHER "Saint Nick" story that the northern elf king refuses to be offended by. His name is Niklava and he rather LIKES the association of how giving the cold can be! Lo'en could easily live without hearing another comment about ol' Saint Nick and his elves though.
Hold, while technically human/mortal, is cursed to live life over and over. And he has plant/green powers. He gets a lot of the "oh you'll grow up to be fine one of these days!" "you're still a sprout in this life time" "you still have time to bloom then!" and he also hates it.
Because Hold has to continue living even after he dies (though his body regresses to a child like age as he "recovers from death") he's absolutely enamored with Lo'en who just continues to exist. Her life span is way longer than a humans, longer than his /should/ be. And he admires her a lot and is really grateful to have her around for so many of his lives lived. Lo'en is relieved to have someone she gets along with who won't die and leave her forever. He dies, sure, but he gets better.
Lo'en meets Hold first while during one of his sister's dead phases so that's why the two are much closer than Lo'en is to Hold's sister. The two girls do help keep Hold safe when he's dead but they aren't super best friends or anything.
Okay so, there is a thing twitter does and you sometimes see it here, when people are professing that a certain block man relationship is platonic, and/or that anything else is boundary breaking. The stance is that you love the platonic relationship so much, and anything else is "weird". So you're defending from the weirdos.
Tumblr media
And the thing is, I am not intending to say that you personally have to be comfortable with romantic or sexual relationships when it comes to the block men. If you go "y'know this is not for me", that is 100% fair. That's why I do think that appropriate tags are so important, so that you can curate your space. However. This specific interaction has been sitting in my head for days.
First of all like slimarina has repeatedly rped gay sex on stream, artists drawing them kissing should not be getting death threats on twitter. Second of all— why is it weird. Why are you saying specifically that a relationship between two men is weird or bad or unclear inappropriate? Do you know what you sound like when you say that?
Cause it isn't just "keep the nsfw away from the minors", which is fair and based. Tag that shit. People also acted like this with beeduo when all we were talking about was handholding and kissing, which a) they were making jokes about lap dances on stream, I don't think a kiss is too far, b) handholding your beloved is a behaviour that shows up in humanity in *middle school*. Like this was the type of romance that would show up in disney movies, and people would be like "I am protecting the streamers from the weirdos" by saying that this is abhorent and you're a degenerate if you think about it!
Cause the thing is, when you are saying that queer romance is somehow inappropriate for minors, or saying that a "gay couple" is incompatible with the concept of nsfw without being weird, this is indistinguishable from homophobia. It is literally a homophobic talking point, that gay romance is inherently sexual and inappropriate, and that gay sex is inherently weird and bad. This is a thing politicians are using to push regressive political agendas.
A lot of people are not comfortable with nsfw and that is fine, but when you are making broad statements about sex and romance In General, you start to fall into some traps where like, literally I have heard these talking points from evangelical christians telling me that sex would make me inherently unclean and broken. I am begging people to draw a distinction between "i don't want to see that" and "all of that is bad/weird/inappropriate/should never be talked about in public".
Uncomfortable with slimarina nsfw? Fine. I don't necessarily want to see slime physics sex either. Saying that all engagement with nsfw between two adults who are enthustically consenting and having fun with it and specifically asking for tiktok edits of the sex scenes but happen to be guys is weird and needs to be defended against? FOLKS. You literally sound like a conservative politician.
Like something like 98% of the population is sexually attracted to other people, at a low estimate. And that is FINE. That is how humanity works. We have social rules about how to navigate that, but it's not inherently weird or dirty or inappropriate to be attracted to people, or to think or talk about sex, or to have sex! Average age of having sex for the first time in north america is 16! People are having sex and that's FINE. I'm not but like, sure I'll read stories that include that as an element, because I'm an adult and it's part of the human experience. I also read stories that don't have sex. Neither is morally superior or less weird than the other just by virtue of if there's sex in it or not.
So like, man. We have GOT to stop assigning anything sexual as bad and wrong. It's just a thing that adults do.
you said in a tiktok somewhere about sirus loving to hold 2 of remus' fingers and it got me curious, do you think sirius would ever experience littlespace and if so how do you think remus would be about it?
Personally, I have never seen Sirius as someone who would experience little space, but I do think that it’s possible he could experience regression to a degree.
It’s no secret Sirius grew up with one of the starkest upbringings that battered his mental health into what it was as a teenager and onwards. Being Sirius, meant he grew up with a heavy load of expectations saddled to his back and a strict image to maintain. Yes, he came into his own within early adulthood and has always been somewhat of a rogue against his family name, but that doesn’t diminish the fine line of teachings he’s had nor the extensive abuse he’s suffered. He is a smart man, a resourceful and practical one who can make good of most situations once given time to think about it. I don’t think he relies on a lot of people to get what he wants, partly because he’s never allowed himself to and because he seldom trusts. I think Sirius’ trust issues could even delve deeper than Remus’ but that’s a conversation for another day.
Considering the above, he is someone who has a lot of trauma and that’s putting it lightly. He has a natural charisma about him but there’s also a lot of masking that goes unnoticed by the many, but not by Remus. When Remus came along and their friendship/relationship began to blossom, I think Remus was the one person that simultaneously dislodged and lodged something into his brain. Remus is someone who he quickly learned he didn’t have to be anything that he didn’t want to be around and with that, came comfort. There is argument for James being a similar totem for this but as Remus is a different kind of love I think it’s more significant.
Remus is someone who, despite coming with his own difficulties, anxieties and flapping from time to time (including a very mild temper issue) is overall a grounding presence. He is calm and doesn’t need to take up space by volume, and has a more quiet confidence to him. In the right lights, a quiet authority too. Sirius has always felt like Remus could deflate him with a look, calm him with a touch and be that fixed north point on his compass towards home. Sirius knows Remus has him in a way he’s never felt with a romantic partner before. He can be his base self and truly unmask around this man which in turn brings unparalleled ease of physical and mental rest.
So, this is why I believe Sirius can and likes to regress every so often. He will slip into a submissive place of being pliant and alleviated of any worries, allowing Remus to physically take charge of what’s happening. I believe he will simply seek that umbrella of comfort and protection he finds in his Moony (he strictly calls Remus by this name, Moony, when he’s in that state) and lean into the warmth, allowing Remus to take charge of him for however long he needs that respite for. I wanted to reflect that on a superficial level with that two finger hold because I think it shows the innocence that comes with Sirius when he’s in this state. He doesn’t want anything else, other than to be cared for by his Moony and Remus will do everything and more by instinct because he knows exactly what he needs. Sirius will have certain telltale signs when he’s having one of these episodes or days, and Remus has learned them carefully so he can adjust his attention and behaviour accordingly. It’s something that would’ve been discussed as his mental capacity would be definitely altered.
Little space is full regression to a considerably lower age which I don’t necessarily think he does, but regression to a mentally smaller, perhaps more vacant version of himself where he isn’t exactly as present as he would be normally, I think is very likely.
Fleur Adcock
One of the leading New Zealand and British poets of her generation who was fascinated by the past and ancestral voices
Fleur Adcock, who has died aged 90, was one of the best loved and most esteemed poets in Britain and New Zealand. The full span of her work from 1960 until 2024 was published earlier this year in a 600-page volume of collected poems to coincide with her 90th birthday. She also translated Latin and Romanian verse, and edited The Oxford Book of Contemporary New Zealand Poetry (1982) and The Faber Book of Twentieth Century Women’s Poetry (1987).
Fleur’s deceptively relaxed conversational style is often barbed with an oblique take on reality. As the poet laureate Carol Ann Duffy said: “The sharper edge of her talent is encountered like a razor blade in a peach.”
Her poetry deals with life’s surprises and oddities, the unexpected or unexplained that can cut the ground from beneath your feet. Take the conceit of Regression, a poem from 1967: “All the flowers have gone back into the ground.” What appears familiar and recognisable becomes uncannily different as in dreams or nightmares.
In the same way Fleur probes the everyday with psychological accuracy. This appears in even her most tender poems, such as On a Son Returned to New Zealand (1971), about her first-born son, on his way home to his father: full of motherly pride in the first two lines – “He is my green branch growing in a green plantation. / He is my first invention” – she acknowledges the pain of parting with the wry comment, “No one can be in two places at once”.
Yet she is equally adept at melodrama: the awful realisation of the mistakes one has made, that haunt us in the middle of the night, occurs in Things (1979) when, at 5am: “All the worse things come stalking in / and stand icily about the bed looking worse and worse and worse”.
Fleur not only wrote about children, lovers, family relations, and increasingly, as she got older, her ancestors, but her world of affections, as the Australian poet Peter Porter called it, extends to animals both mythical and real, insects and creatures. In her precise observation, even the most insignificant or repellent win her admiration.
Slugs coupling “glide about, / silently undulating: two / slugs in a circle, tail to snout” and she exults at their climax: “they’ve dressed themselves in a cloud of foam, / a frothy veil for love-in-a-mist”.
In the groundswell of women’s poetry of the 1980s, Fleur – one of the few female poets to have joined Edward Lucie-Smith’s circle, the Group, in 1963 – became a voice to be listened to. She was an influence on a younger generation of poets that included Duffy, Carol Rumens, Vicki Feaver and Jo Shapcott, especially in writing about subjects such as smoking, celibacy, old age, masturbation, illness and bereavement, and thus opening up new topics for poetry.
There were some risqué tongue-in-cheek poems acclaiming the solo woman, like Smokers for Celibacy (1991), which concludes “Altogether, we’ve come to the conclusion that sex is a drag. / Just give us a fag”. Others celebrate women as superstars, fantastic figures of legend, elevated stratospherically, such as The Ex-Queen Among the Astronomers (1979), whose “hair / crackles, her eyes are comet-sparks” and who “brings the distant briefly close /above his dreamy abstract stare”.
Fleur was born in Papakura, in New Zealand’s North Island, to Cyril Adcock (who published as CJ Adcock), a teacher, and Irene (nee Robinson), a music teacher and writer. Fleur’s sister, Marilyn (later the acclaimed novelist Marilyn Duckworth), was born the following year.
In 1939 the family travelled to Britain so that Cyril could study for a doctorate in psychology at Birkbeck College, London, with war breaking out while the move was in progress. The sisters were evacuated, first to Grange Farm in Leicestershire – but other moves followed and Fleur counted 11 schools in seven and a half years.
Upon the family’s return to New Zealand, she studied classics at Wellington girls’ college and Te Herenga Waka – Victoria University of Wellington. In 1952 she married the poet Alistair Te Ariki Campbell, and they had two sons, Gregory and Andrew. They divorced in 1958; a second marriage of five months followed in 1962, to the writer Barry Crump, before Fleur departed for Britain in 1963.
She had already written most of her first collection, The Eye of the Hurricane (1964), which was published in New Zealand: many of these poems are placeless, reflecting her passion for the English landscape and inability to engage with the natural world of her native country.
When settings appear, as in her next volume, Tigers (1967), published in the UK, there is a sting. Stewart Island (1971) begins: “‘But look at all this beauty,’ / said the hotel manager’s wife”. It concludes with the image of a seagull descending with jabbing beak, and her comment, “I had already / decided to leave the country.”
Although Fleur’s work fitted into the mainstream of postwar British poetry despite its outsider interrogations, she carried out her personal explorations with the zeal of a newcomer. She developed a passion for places and journeys: the landscapes of Northern Ireland introduced her to her maternal roots, and made her aware of the ethnic complexity of her New Zealand identity; she fell in love with the Lake District, discovering Dorothy Wordsworth’s journals, as Arts Council creative writing fellow at Charlotte Mason College of Education in Ambleside (1977-78) , and then with the north of England, as Northern Arts literary fellow at the Universities of Newcastle and Durham.
Well established by then, and familiar to many as a poetry commentator for the BBC, she resigned in 1979 from her position at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office library to become a full-time writer. Later she supported herself when necessary by tutoring for the creative writing organisation Arvon.
After the publication of Poems 1960-2000 (2000), Fleur stopped writing for a decade. But then a late flowering occurred, with five new volumes, enough to double her previous output, as she became, in her words, “embarrassingly prolific”.
A strong motivating factor was her fascination with the past and ancestral voices; this was tied up with her reconciliation with New Zealand, a reunion effected over decades by constant travel back and forth, but now more intensely focused on the early years, her parents and their colonial origins.
It was a sideways glance at her country of origin, fuelled by her curiosity about places and her unceasing search for connectivity, an elliptical rather than a full circle. Poems in The Land Ballot (2015) and Hoard (2017) record excursions and road trips: titles include Kuaotunu, Rangiwahia, Drury, Pakiri, Ruakaka, Alfriston, Helensville and Raglan. Reviving memories, they fill in those gaps invisible in the earlier work that had shaped her poetic signature.
They also completed Fleur’s voyage of discovery within the frameworks of her immediate past, the genealogical past and the deeper past of New Zealand’s colonial history.
Among many honours Fleur was awarded the Queen’s Medal for Poetry in 2006 and the New Zealand Prime Minister’s award for literary achievement in poetry, 2019.
She is survived by her sons, Gregory and Andrew, six grandchildren, Oliver, Lilian, Julia, Ella, Cait and Rosa, and seven great-grandchildren, Charlie, Ash, Seth, Alexandra, Jean, Ella and Mira Fleur, and by her sister, Marilyn.
Summary: During snow time, Ludwig and Kiku are shopping for new agere gears for Feliciano, who accompanies them
Tumblr media
The sun rises, and its rays breaking through the clouds meet the eyes of a young person who is a little too impatient. Today was a special day; the young brown-haired boy who could no longer wait to go outside, because the snowy landscape was captivating, hastened to get out of his bed and warn his friends of his awakening.
In the heart of winter, snow blanketed the streets as Ludwig, Kiku, and Feliciano stepped out for their long-awaited shopping trip. The flakes danced in the air, painting a serene backdrop for their excursion.
As they wandered through the bustling market, Feliciano's usual exuberance was replaced by childlike wonder. His eyes sparkled with innocent delight, his steps light and carefree. The frigid air seemed to awaken a dormant joy within him, causing him to regress to a younger state.
Ludwig and Kiku exchanged a knowing glance, instantly slipping into their roles as caregivers. Ludwig, with his stoic demeanor, gently held Feliciano's hand, guiding him through the crowded aisles. Meanwhile, Kiku, his calm and composed nature ever-present, offered reassuring words and wrapped a cozy scarf around Feliciano's neck.
Amidst the stalls adorned with vibrant wares, Feliciano's enthusiasm bubbled over. He pointed eagerly at snow globes, plush toys, and colorful trinkets, his infectious laughter ringing through the air. Ludwig and Kiku indulged him, knowing that these small moments meant the world to their dear friend.
Outside, the snow continued to fall, creating a picturesque scene. Feliciano, caught up in the magic of the moment, darted around trying to catch snowflakes with his tongue, giggling like a child. Ludwig and Kiku watched fondly, cherishing this glimpse of innocence in their usually lively companion.
As the day drew to a close and they made their way back home, Feliciano nestled comfortably between Ludwig and Kiku, his eyes heavy with contentment. The shopping bags held treasures that would forever remind them of this whimsical day.
In the quiet of the snowy evening, their bond strengthened, not just as friends, but as a makeshift family, embracing the simple joys of life amidst the winter's embrace.
Never Grow Up: Caregiver Nina (an Imagination Movers story)
Author's Note: I think this is my favorite chapter so far, but I think that's because Nina is one of my favorite characters! Like I said in the sneak peek, I got to explore inpure regression, and how it made Reader feel before Nina reassures them that everything will be okay! If you have any questions about age regression, just let me know by sending me an ask! Also, this idea doesn't belong to me, but it belongs to @redgearsmovin! Hope you enjoy! No pressure tags: @123countwithme @redgearsmovin and @kittyundercover1
Caregiver Nina
After many days of cloudy days, it was finally clear enough to go outside and star-gaze.
Nina was standing outside your bedroom, holding a blanket in her arms.
"Are you ready to star-gaze, keiki?"
You nod, grabbing Dolly, and following Nina outside.
When you guys were outside, Nina lays down the blanket and you both sit down, looking up at the sky.
Sometimes Nina tells you about the different stars, constellations, and new facts about the moon.
Usually you found all of that interesting, but lately you've been having bad thoughts, including one in particular.
You didn't notice that Nina had stopped talking, and was looking at you, ready to go into caregiver mode if needed.
"What's wrong, keiki? You're quiet."
You really wanted to have this conversation with Nina, and in order to do that, you need to be in big space.
"I sort of have a problem.."
Nina's face instantly brightens.
"We can call The Movers: it's not too late, after all."
You shook your head.
"I already went to go see them: it was a problem they couldn't solve."
Which only made you feel worse, because it was the first time they couldn't solve your problem.
"And I guess it's not really a problem, just a feeling I have."
Nina sat closer to you, and squeezes your hand gently.
"You can tell me anything, Y/N. You know that."
You told Nina anything and everything, and Nina did the same with you, making sure that any big decision she made included you too.
And when Nina became your caregiver, you told her that she was your best friend first, and caregiver second (despite being the same age).
You looked at her, not really sure how to start this particular conversation, but since you two were always busy, now was probably the best time to have this conversation.
You took a deep breath, and held Dolly to your chest.
"I feel like I'm taking up too much of your time…when you're not working at The Idea Cafe or helping The Movers with a problem, you're usually taking care of me, and it makes me feel guilty."
You look at Nina for a reaction, and when you found none, you continued.
"You have so many cool friends to hang out with, and yet, here you are, baby-sitting me, and I just feel like I don't deserve you or The Movers as friends--"
You start crying, and crying always made you go into little space.
Suddenly Nina was hugging you and she was trying to calm you down, which only made you cry even more.
"Oh, keiki: I had no idea you felt this way. But I want you to know The Movers and I are always happy to be your caregivers."
You pull away from her hug and sniff.
"Really?"
Back home, your old friends found your age regression to be weird, and left you feeling alone.
It was no wonder you got attached to Nina and The Movers upon meeting them for the first time, even if you were scared to tell them about your age regression, especially Nina.
Nina nods.
"Of course! I'm glad I can spend these moments with you: you're not just my keiki, but my best friend too, and I'd do all of this again in a heartbeat."
You give her a water-y smile.
"Thanks, Nina."
After that, you and Dolly listened intently as Nina told you about The North Star, and when a wishing star came, Nina excitedly told you to make a wish while holding your hand, and you knew exactly what your wish would be.
