Guys now that I know a very decent info about the batfamily and all that. I was thinking about making a fanfic (like, a largue (?) fanfic, with more than one part) with a neglected reader x Peter Parker (bc the ffc where Peter is in Gotham after his death in Titan are THE BESTS) so give ur opn.

Like, the reader would be at first left behind by all of their family and then she meets Peter and she learns about the vigilante world and the batfam is like ??? yk what I’m saying?

Instead of Ric when Dick gets amnesia he still has that whole thing where Bruce is kind of an asshole and wants him to be Nightwing but he isn't feeling. (At least I'm pretty sure that's how that went? I know virtually nothing about the Ric era but thats what I heard somewhere) However...if he was Nightwing then he should know Catwoman, right? So he finds Selina and she gives him a bit of training in burglary and then off he goes to New York. He's going by the name Neal Caffrey and everyone thinks Dick Grayson is dead.

He meets and befriends Mozzie right away and then later Kate. When the fbi finally arrest him he goes to jail and by this time even Batman has no idea where he is.

He gets a secret message from Kate, who was always chill and didn't mind the whole, I used to be someone else then I got amnesia and am doing my best to avoid people who know me cause all the people he talked to were being weird and pushy about him being Nightwing until Batman gave up on him. (except Catwoman, she was cool.)

Anyways, and thus the pilot episode of White Collar takes place and Neal Caffrey becomes a CI. From here on out it is canon compliant (and also explains Neal's pure confidence with the whole jumping out of a third story building thing)

Maybe some of the batfam (or other heroes, like the og titans or something, but I'm focusing on the batfam here) find him during this time, maybe not. But it doesn't change the canon compliance up till Neal fakes his death and leaves. Instead of going to France he goes back to Bludhaven cause his memory is slowly returning and the batfam convinced him to come back.

Like what I love reading Justice league finds out about the batfam but not when they are assholes about it.

Like omg you have kids that's cool they're badass awesome.

Hell even the comics everyone is somehow entitled to something you are not. Like I understand when you are dating someone like Tim my man maybe you shouldn't have been the founder of cheating using a secret identity. But you don't get to be a dick when these people are protecting each other and themselves also normal people who don't know anything.

And also it always results in a guilt trip and then they tell everyone whatever it is that maybe they didn't want to tell. This isn't just identity's, secrets, trauma take your pick a guilt trip to get information isn't cool.

I think this is why I like Spider-Man and Deadpool together so much because Wade is respectful of the identity thing he gets it knows it's important and isn't being a dick about it. He isn't trying to find a way to get Peter to rip his mask off he isn't guilt tripping him he doesn't back Spider-Man into a corner he would never rip off his mask. Unless it was for some weirdly specific reason.

But could see the justice league not knowing Bruce's and not even trying to help protect his. Or hell any of the robins.

They get mad at the Bats for being paranoid but have you given them a reason not to be.

Like this was a rant and a half and it's not always I know that but a lot of the time I feel like people don't understand the gravity of the situation.

The Merry Men are pissed because they finally got their teen-dad crime boss to join in on the bi-weekly self-care sessions and take a break from working! Jason has like just arrived back to Gotham, caused chaos in the underbelly due to well, 8 heads in a duffle bag, and is just starting his takeover of Crime Alley. It's going good, great even! And then he busts some sort of gang or smuggling ring run by people in white suits and there's... holy shit why do these four toddlers have Lazarus eyes?!

Is that a lab?! And Lazarus waters?! Jason might be a bit mad but he's not an asshole, he's not going to just leave these kids here to the streets. He can't just take them to the Batclan either, and as much as he begrudgingly trusts Talia, he sure as fuck doesn't trust Ras. Who knows what he'd do to four... what are they, pit-kids?

Now he's juggling his whole revenge-thing, running a criminal empire, taking over Gotham's underbelly, and being a single dad. At least the goonion seems to be down for helping, seeing as he's making Crime Alley safer...? .... Fuck he needs some proper sleep

I just had the brain spark idea for ANGST with Peter in Gotham with Jason as Uncle Ben. What if it is when he is still mad with anger from the Lazaraus Puts, and Peter's first meeting with him is when he is in the middle of one of his homicidal rages?

Like, Jason is back with the Batfam, and he is on the good guy side, but it's before he has reached a balance on his anger, and he still struggles to control the pit madness. And the first time Peter sees him and recognizes his face, Jason is momentarily going crazy?

Ooooo wait this is such a good idea!!

Imagine Peter, whose uncle has only been dead for 2-3 years at this point, seeing a man who has his uncles face repeatedly punching an unconscious man? The city's vigilantes are trying to pry him off, distract him from turning that poor guys face into a mushy pool of broken bones and blood.

Some are trying to comfort him, for some reason, while others say... less than polite things. The blue one electrocutes him, his not-uncle, successfully, which only serves to move his focus from the bloodied body to the vigilante. Which, well, was the point, but it feels wrong seeing his not-uncle be electrocuted repeatedly and beaten with a bo staff.

Batman even shows up to restrain him, his uncle had always been larger than life, in the metaphorical and physical sense. Peter's uncle was a gentle man, and the only time he ever used his size was when he was out on duty, to save people's lives.

His eyes glowed a neon green, and his weirdly youthful face was framed by premature white hair. His nose was busted and bleeding, staining his teeth. It made Peter nauseous. The last time his uncle had been covered in blood, he...

"Stop it! What are you doing to him?!" Peter screamed, finally finding the strength to leave his hiding spot behind a dumpster.

He stared. What else could he do?

He hadn't been in this universe long, hadn't found any signs of the Parkers ever even existing here. How could he be so stupid? Of course they could've existed with different names— his dad and uncle had been adopted. They probably have completely different families and last names because Peter... doesn't exist here. They're alive because Peter doesn't exist here.

The blue one, Nightwing, stepped forward. "Hey, this is no place for a kid, alright? We've got this handled." He took the tone Peter often took with scared civilians as Spider-man.

"No, you're— you're hurting him! Stop it!" Peter moved to get closer to his uncle, but was held back gently by Nightwing.

"Get the kid out of here, now!" Batman snapped, struggling to hold down his uncle.
