#GUYS PETER SEEING HIS UNCLE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN YEARS AND HES IN THE MIDDLE OF CRASHING OUT

I just had the brain spark idea for ANGST with Peter in Gotham with Jason as Uncle Ben. What if it is when he is still mad with anger from the Lazaraus Puts, and Peter's first meeting with him is when he is in the middle of one of his homicidal rages?
Like, Jason is back with the Batfam, and he is on the good guy side, but it's before he has reached a balance on his anger, and he still struggles to control the pit madness. And the first time Peter sees him and recognizes his face, Jason is momentarily going crazy?
Ooooo wait this is such a good idea!!
Imagine Peter, whose uncle has only been dead for 2-3 years at this point, seeing a man who has his uncles face repeatedly punching an unconscious man? The city's vigilantes are trying to pry him off, distract him from turning that poor guys face into a mushy pool of broken bones and blood.
Some are trying to comfort him, for some reason, while others say... less than polite things. The blue one electrocutes him, his not-uncle, successfully, which only serves to move his focus from the bloodied body to the vigilante. Which, well, was the point, but it feels wrong seeing his not-uncle be electrocuted repeatedly and beaten with a bo staff.
Batman even shows up to restrain him, his uncle had always been larger than life, in the metaphorical and physical sense. Peter's uncle was a gentle man, and the only time he ever used his size was when he was out on duty, to save people's lives.
His eyes glowed a neon green, and his weirdly youthful face was framed by premature white hair. His nose was busted and bleeding, staining his teeth. It made Peter nauseous. The last time his uncle had been covered in blood, he...
"Stop it! What are you doing to him?!" Peter screamed, finally finding the strength to leave his hiding spot behind a dumpster.
He stared. What else could he do?
He hadn't been in this universe long, hadn't found any signs of the Parkers ever even existing here. How could he be so stupid? Of course they could've existed with different names— his dad and uncle had been adopted. They probably have completely different families and last names because Peter... doesn't exist here. They're alive because Peter doesn't exist here.
The blue one, Nightwing, stepped forward. "Hey, this is no place for a kid, alright? We've got this handled." He took the tone Peter often took with scared civilians as Spider-man.
"No, you're— you're hurting him! Stop it!" Peter moved to get closer to his uncle, but was held back gently by Nightwing.
"Get the kid out of here, now!" Batman snapped, struggling to hold down his uncle.

Exit Stage Right | R.L
You and your daughter miss Remus while he's performing for a stadium of fans, so much that you have to see him before the concert is over — dad!rockstar!remus x mom!reader fluff
warnings: a little angsty if you squint rlly hard, but nothing else
words: 2.4k
a/n: I promised rockstar!remus a while ago, but I've been to 2 concerts in the last 2 weeks, which just so happens to be finals season, so I've been simultaneously busy as hell and itching to write this. I hope you like how it turned out!
Your daughter Olive was no stranger to loud noises.
Remus had a room to practise drumming in your house, it’s normal to encounter a chaotic mess of fans and paparazzi when you left the house as a family, and she just about had the loudest uncles in the world. Though you tried to limit the amount of noise she took in, Olive’s little ears had definitely adapted to her hectic little life.
But all that noise in her daily life was no match for a rock concert in a sold-out stadium. Those decibel levels would for sure be far too high for her little ears to handle.
It wasn’t as easy of a decision on what you should do with her tonight, though. You were getting cabin fever with all the identical hotel rooms you’ve been living in while The Marauders were on their tour, and you suspected Olive was in the same boat.
So, you decided to go back to the old days when the band first started going on long tours, when you would stay in the dressing room for the length of the performance. You and Remus figured it would be soundproof enough backstage, but you still insisted on pulling out the baby headphones you had bought just in case before she was even born. You were only planning on using them if it got especially loud backstage, yet you tried them on anyway.
They were massive on her, but they kept her safe and happy. Plus, she was pretty damn adorable with them on—not that she wasn’t all the time, but definitely cuter than normal with those giant headphones.
Waiting for the show to start, Remus bounced Olive on his lap while you watched the rest of the guys run through their current individual pre-show rituals.
It had been quite a while since you’ve been backstage with the band right before a show, and you honestly forgot how entertaining it was.
James was trying to solve the same Rubik’s cube he’s been working on for years to warm up his fingers, Peter was doing the daily crossword in the local newspaper, and Sirius was trying to multitask by doing his vocal warmups and his makeup at the same time.
It was really a terrible combination of tasks, as Sirius kept on messing up his eyeliner and then trying to suppress his favourite swear words for your daughter’s sake.
You wanted to tell him off, but it was really too fun to watch for you to intervene.
A minute or so after Sirius finally finished his look, the boys’ manager knocked on the dressing room door and reminded them that they have to go on stage soon.
Remus thanked him, and the guys all started getting ready to go. He kept Olive in his arms for as long as he could, until it was just the three of you in the room after everyone was already headed to the stage.
When he finally had to let her go, Remus made sure he gave you both a proper goodbye.
“I’ll be back soon. Just over 2 hours, then we can all go home.” He kissed you softly, but deeply. He always does this as a way of saying goodbye, kissing you like he might never do it again, but he doesn’t want you to think about it.
When his lips left yours and he slouched down to blow a raspberry on Olive’s tummy, you sighed quietly. “A hotel, not home.”
He looked at you sympathetically as he collected his drumsticks from the table beside you and stored them in his back pocket for the time being.
“Isn’t home anywhere where we’re all together?” He said, trying to lift your spirits. “But we’ll be home home soon enough. And I won’t be on tour again for a while, and we can be all together as much as we want.”
That did make you feel better. Even though you loved that Remus was living his dream with his best friends and giving you and Olive a great life, it did get stressful from time to time.
Privacy violations by paparazzi and media outlets, insecurity that sometimes got the best of you on both sides of the relationship, and of course, The Marauders going on world tours that were fun, but still somewhat torture. They made it so you had to choose between leaving home for months, or being away from Remus—not that there was any difference between those two.
You didn’t want to get emotional right when Remus had to go perform, so you smiled and reminded him that it was time for you to part ways for the evening.
“They’re waiting for you out there.”
A grin graced your husband’s face. “They can wait a little longer.”
“They paid to see you.” You reminded him.
“And I'll personally refund all of them if I don't go out.”
“Then we'll be out of money, and we'll both have to get new jobs and we'll never have any time with just the three of us.”
Remus pretended to think over your point for a second. “You’re right. I guess I have to go out and perform, then.”
“Put on a good show, honey. We'll see you soon.”
While saying goodbye to him, you raised Olive’s arm so you could wave at Remus for her as he walked out of the dressing room. Her face was already forming a pout when she watched her dad leave to go do his job, but you wouldn’t let that morph into anything more.
You turned her around so you could both look at each other, then you pressed a kiss to her chubby cheek.
“None of that, sweetheart. We’ll see him again in no time.”
Laying her down beside you on the couch, you reach down into the baby bag you never go anywhere without and pick out some of her favourite toys from their specific pocket; hopefully those will keep her distracted and happy.
◆◇◆◇◆
The toys didn’t work as well as you thought they would. They kept Olive busy for about an hour, but she seemed to snap out of her happy baby daze out of nowhere.
She started crying and nothing was working to calm her down. She wasn’t hungry, she didn’t need to be changed, and nothing you had brought for this very reason was working.
You knew the only thing that could quell her upset was outside and on the stage, playing drums for a stadium of fans. But even though she and Remus both wished they could spend all hours of the day together, you just didn’t know how that could work.
And then you remembered the headphones.
The sound backstage hadn’t been that loud at all while The Marauders were playing, so you honestly hadn’t thought about them since you and Remus packed them before you left the hotel.
But this could work. You could use them to help both you and Olive right now. So that’s what you did.
You dug through your bag and pulled the noise-cancelling headphones from the bottom of the bag, where they had sat untouched for the longest time. After picking them up with a tiny ‘aha’, you smiled at your daughter and told her that she would soon be seeing her dad.
She had calmed down somewhat due to the mere mention of Remus, but she was still wailing in your arms. You bounced her lightly while you walked down the halls of the stadium.
“It’s okay, honey.” You cooed at Olive, despite the fact that she couldn’t hear a thing. “You’re gonna tire yourself out and fall asleep before you even get to see Daddy. We don’t want that, do we?”
Although, maybe her crying herself to sleep wouldn’t be so bad.
It still wasn’t an option in your mind. Your daughter wanted to see her dad, so over to Remus you’ll go.
Once you got to the stage door, a burly security guard gave you a questioning look. You supposed he wasn’t used to a woman and a baby wanting to go into the wings during a rock concert. But he was just there to do his job, not judge, so he let you through when you showed him your ID.
You kept checking Olive’s face to see her expressions and gauge if everything was too loud for her. Her look didn’t deviate from the bothered expression her face took on when you started walking with her, so you assumed the headphones were cancelling out the noise, just as they were made for.
Nobody who was working backstage seemed to mind you being there, so you found an extra stool in a dark corner and pulled it so you could sit and watch the band.
Based just on how Olive was moving in your arms, you knew she had spotted her dad behind the cymbals he was smashing across the stage. Pointing towards Remus, you whispered to her again even though she couldn’t hear you. “Look! Who’s that? Who’s over there?”
She seemed to be cheered up enough just from seeing Remus, so your hypothesis was proven correct. Things were shaping up to be a good night.
You swayed and headbanged—as lightly as possible—since just because Olive couldn’t enjoy the loud music doesn’t mean you had to ignore it too.
The current song ended, and James was talking to the crowd while Sirius drank some much-needed water after all that singing. While taking a swig, the two familiar faces in the wings of the stage caught his eye, and he just had to share what he was seeing with the drummer.
He practically skipped over to Remus, who was also catching his breath from performing and pointed you out. Your husband’s eyes scanned the area until he found you, and his face immediately broke out into a smile—and so did your daughter’s.
Back in the dressing room, you were hesitant if you should leave at all or if you should just wait out Olive’s tantrum, but the matching looks on your husband and daughter’s faces right now was proof that you made the right decision.
Olive made grabby hands towards her dad across the stage, and Remus waved right back and blew a kiss in your direction. You weren’t quite sure if it was aimed at you or your little girl, but it made you blush either way.
He pointed to the setlist taped to the ground beside him and hid his hand behind his bass drum so the audience wouldn’t see his gesture; he held up three fingers to let you know there would be three more songs until he could get up and give you two his full attention. You knew they would most definitely be doing an encore after they finished, but at least they could all have a small break after the main show.
You nodded to show him you understood, but his attention was already grabbed back by James giving him the sign that it was time to get back into the music. Not even taking more than a second to prepare, Remus was back in the groove and started playing the next song on the list, effortlessly and perfectly.
The last few songs of the main set were some of your favourites from the band’s discography, but you had to admit that you couldn’t enjoy them as much as you usually would.
It was mainly because you were somewhat scared of an impending mood swing out of your daughter now that her father’s attention had left her, but also because these three songs were standing in between you and your husband like a brick wall right now. You just had to remind yourself that once they hit that last note and said their goodbyes to the crowd, that wall would be temporarily smashed once more.
But now, they were at the end of the concert. The crowd was cheering like they just had the best night of their lives—you don’t doubt that they did—and Remus was throwing his sticks into the sea of hands desperate for a morsel of The Marauders.
His rockstar persona was dropped the second those drumsticks left his hands, and he was rushing to the wings to be with you and Olive, a wide smile strung across his cheeks.
He pulled you two out into the hall so the crowd’s noise could be in the background. He knew they would be cheering for an encore in a minute; as much as he loved that sound, he would rather hear you.
“She was getting pretty fussy and I knew you were the only thing that would calm her down.” You explained to Remus before he could even ask.
You were afraid he would be upset with you bringing her outside of the dressing room, but he didn’t seem fazed at all. He gently took Olive from your arms and cooed over her.
“You missed me so much you dragged your mum out here so you could see me, huh?” Remus asked her. “You know I missed you too, princess. Both of you.”
“Yeah? Maybe you should get the guys to shorten the setlist so you aren’t away from us for too long, then.”
He didn’t respond, but you know that he had brought up the idea of shorter tours to the others now that he and James were both fathers.
You watched lovingly as Remus kept moving Olive’s hand away from the glitter on his face that she was so desirous to touch. You wished you all could stay in this moment forever, but the audience’s chants for an encore were getting louder and louder and you knew the scene in front of you couldn’t last much longer.
Right on schedule, James strutted up and tapped Remus on the shoulder with a brand new pair of drumsticks.
“We’ve gotta go back out there, mate. Time to part ways with your girls once again.”
Remus wouldn’t put up a fight. He handed Olive back to you and blew one more kiss at you two as a goodbye.
The doors opened and a cacophony of fan cheers hit your ears. It was a lot, but it just reminded you that all those people were waiting for your husband, so you could wait a few more minutes.
Just two final songs, then you could all go home.

since I’m drawing more of them, here is a bit of background for my x2 Prowler PunkFlower AU (mix of comic and animated canon and my own delulu):
- Hobart started out in a life of crime because he felt trapped by his circumstances (this follows the comic canon, he is the youngest of 9 siblings, but his dad left early, mom was an alcoholic, and eventually even his big brother left. Even though he was a tech genius, he struggled to make a living). Then after his right hand was injured after a job for Kingpin, he was saved by Peter (let’s say in Earth 42 Peter is not Spiderman, instead he runs a company.. which is also comic canon at one point).
Parker Industry gave him a prosthetic and provided a healthier environment for Hobart to grow, they sponsor him to be a kind of vigilante to keep the city safe (again, this is a bit based on the comic canon, but in the comics he was paralyzed from the waist down for a while, he also worked for Parker Industry for some time).
- For Miles G. after his father died, there was a time when he lost his direction in life. He was haunted by the fact that he could not protect Jeff. Earth 42 is already chaotic, he doesn’t know how to protect his mother (since Uncle Aaron also has his own business and can’t stay with them all the time).
- One night when he was walking back home, Miles was stopped by a robber, normally he could protect himself, but that day his mind was spiraling so badly and before he knew it, he was cornered. That's when Prowler saved him.
- Hobart was just on duty, the alley was dark so he couldn't see the other boy very well, he just turned his back to tie up the robber and told Miles to go home, it's very dangerous here.
- At that time, the Prowler symbol on the back of Hobart’s jacket seemed to engrave itself in the back of Miles’ eyelids - a call to fight, a call to protect. He made a decision then.
- Miles immediately ran to Uncle Aaron and told him of his intention to be a vigilante. Aaron was hesitant at first, but Miles said that if he didn't train him, he would go find the Prowler himself and ask him for help. Aaron was worried that Miles would be taken advantage of by others, so he accepted to train and help him create tech.
- After a while, the two of them started blowing things up left and right in Brooklyn with Miles as the new Prowler, that was when Hobart realized that there was another guy running around in his symbol (there is a whole theme in the comics where Hobie’s Prowler gears keep being stolen by other ppl to impersonate him 😭)
- He thought about telling the boy to stop, but seeing Miles punching criminals, confronting villains who are many times bigger than him yet was still not afraid, Hobart became… curious? Want to know who that person is, why do they do this.
- Of course, when they meet, Hobart still asked Miles to not to carry his logo around, but Miles stubbornly argued that anyone can be a symbol, and he would not dishonour this one.
- In general, Hobart was impressed with Miles, but it took some time for both of them to gradually trust each other. After more than half a year, Hobart took the initiative to tell Miles his true identity, Miles then also took him to meet his uncle.
- After the two became closer, Miles began to help Hobart repair and maintain his prosthetic. Hobart also began to doubt his future in Parker Industry. He had never liked to be confined to a system, and although Peter helped him a lot, he still wanted to be his own person, fought for his own ideals. So as soon as Miles and Hobart were able to fix his prosthetic on their own, Hobart left Parker Industry and moved in with Miles.
- They started dating after 2 years of knowing each other (Aaron thanked heaven and earth that his nephew finally stopped blue-ball that Hobart boy, his head hurt every time he has to witness their awkward flirting 😭😭), when Miles G. met Miles 1610, he and Hobart had been officially dating for a few months.
So basic timeline: first meeting Miles G. was 13 / Hobart was 15 -> worked together as Prowlers team at 14 / 16 -> Hobart left Parker Industry / they started dating when Miles is 15 and Hobart is 17 -> meet Miles 1610.
Well that’s all for now, so when I draw that AU it’s based on that groundwork. Cheers!
#*pull up a whole bulletin board*#here is the lore to this AU I completely make up in my head#punkflower#x2 prowler au

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Lyla, what is it this time?” Miguel groans, swiping a screen to the side with a flick of his hand. His watch lights with a familiar ring just as his trusty assistant pops out of thin air, pacing around nervously.
Lyla chuckles apprehensively, her lips forming into a nervous smile, “Uh-well. We have a tiny situation”, She brings her indent and thumb close together to show how minuscule the problem was at hand.
Miguel’s eyes crease together in disappointment, a groan slipping past his lips. He begins to lower the podium towards the ground while cursing incoherently under his breath.
“How tiny?”
“You’ll barely notice it!” She tries to assure, her smile twitching under his unimpressed glare.
Letting out a defeated sigh he turns the transmission off, turning to face the entrance. His head tilts to the side, hearing hurried footsteps walking towards his room, just as he steps down to the leveled floor. His hand rests against his hips, waiting for the doors to slam open.
As if one cue the door opens wide, Hobie walks in with a bounce to his steps. He flashes Miguel a lopsided smile as Gwen follows behind him, followed by an unknown Spider. Miguel clenches his jaw feeling his body tingle at the sensation of the girl. She was a spider alright, but why was she here? Miguel raises an eyebrow as his eyes trace over the new female.
Her tightly secured spandex suit did not bear the traditional spider-person colors. It was black and white which was unique but not something new. Her hair was out freely, falling past her shoulders as it swayed along her steps. And surprisingly she didn’t have a full covering mask, but a mask that just covered her jaw all the way up to her nose.
Miguel clears his throat roughly, seeing how the female caught onto his deep and calculating stare. Her e/c eyes flutter as she too examines him, her eyes trailing from the top of his brown wavy locks all the way down to his torso. Luckily, his mask was off. But that only proved to be a problem as he couldn't help but feel self conscious under the piercing stare.
“We’re back! It went by smoothly!” Gwen reports, stopping right in front of Miguel. Hobie places his arms across his back nodding sluggishly.
Miguel huffs out at her words, turning to Hobie who was in charge of the simple mission. His glare alone caused Gwen to shuffle around awkwardly, his unsaid words of disappointment speaking volumes.
“Hobie, who is this?” Miguel grumbles, his eyes darting to the girl, eyes filled with scrutiny. Upon hearing herself being mentioned the girl takes a step forward, and beside Hobie who shrugs off Miguel’s angered expression.
“Hello, you're Spider-man 2099? Gotta say I expected someone ... .a little friendlier lookin-” the girl blurts out, his eyes widening at how straight forward her words were. Gwen couldn't help but clear her throat to prevent herself from giggling.
“-Not saying you're ugly or anything, totally daddy material, but you're missing something, Ya know? Something that gives off the ‘friendly-neighborhood-Spider-man vibes?” She quickly adds, causing Hobie to snicker beside her. The girl blushes slightly, redness spreading from the tops of her cheeks. Miguel turns to face her, his arms leaving his hips to cross over his broad chest. He stares down into her smaller statue with annoyance.
“Who are you?” He repeats again, his eyes scrunched together into a tight line. The female chuckles, looking in between him and the two other spiders who brought her here.
“You look stressed, is he stressed?”
“He’s stressed all the time” Hobie adds, smirking when Miguel growls warningly under his breath.
“Jesus, you’re gonna get wrinkles ya know,”
“You’re very chatty, probably means your canon hasn't happened yet. How long did you say you were Spider-woman for?” Miguel offers an unamused smile, holding nothing but annoyance in his tone.
“Silk, I go by Silk in my universe,” she replies, mimicking his form by crossing her arms over her chest. Miguel raises an eyebrow, his expression changing to mild confusion. He knew Silk, he had a few Silk’s at headquarters. But this one, the one standing in front of him and peering up into his eyes through her thick lashes, was not the ones he was familiar with.
She was different, because she made him feel….different.
“Silk? But you’re not Cindy Moon.”
The playful smile on the girl's face vanished at his worlds, her arms dropping to her side as her eyes widened, “How did you?….she….”
Miguel sighs out, moistening his lips ever so slightly as he felt uncomfortable watching her look upset in front of him. A feeling he didn’t quite understand,
“Ahh…I see. She’s your canon?”
The girl's eyes furrow at his words, puffing out her cheeks out in annoyance, “What’s that supposed to mean? What’s anything supposed to mean! All I know is I was taking names and kicking ass when these-“ the female glances at the two spider people beside her.
“Spider fella’s show up! They’re the ones who brought me here!” She states, throwing her hand in the air in frustration. Miguel clenched his jaw, his eyes landing on the slight pout he was able to make out from under her mask. Her large eyes staring into his eyes.
‘She’s…like a puppy’
A subtle smile twitches along Miguel’s lips, his jaw immediately clenched to prevent the smile from breaking though. Deciding he had heard enough he turns to Hobie.
“Hobie, what’s the meaning of this? I specifically tasked you with bringing back an anomaly, not the Spider-person from that universe,”
“Technically there is another Spider-person in my universe-“
“Zip it, grown men are talking!” Miguel hisses, his eyes snapping to her momentarily, giving her a warning look.
“Gosh, I see what you mean. He’s a grump”
“Miguel, chill. She helped us with the anomaly, I think she’d be a great asset to the team. A great help, honestly. She is quite good” Hobie explains, raising his head in mock surrender at Miguel’s unrelenting gaze.
“That I am” the girl adds proudly, fist pumping Gwen playfully.
Miguel tuts at his words, running a hand through his locks. She had a mouth on her that’s for sure, and Miguel didn’t seem to have the energy to deal with that. Not when the entire building was filled with smart-talking Spider-people,
“I’m not too sure, I don’t know if I want another talkative Spider-person.”
“Aw C’mon! She’s great! Right Gwen?” Hobie argues, glancing at Gwen for assistance, who jolts at being mentioned.
“I-Yes! Her webs come out of her fingertips!” She replies in awe, making the girl chuckle, she turns to Miguel who’s hard expression didn’t change.
“Stop, you make me blush Gwen, and anyway, if he doesn’t want me I’m totally cool dudes. I know where I’m not wanted” She says softly. SHe gently pets Gwen’s shoulder reassuringly, touring to offer Hobie a smile before she takes a tentative step backwards. Just as she continues her way out Hobie sends a glare to his boss.
“You sure you want her to leave? She could be an asset.” Hobie adds quietly, his eyes holding determination. Miguel sighs out, rolling his eyes for being so soft.
“Wait.”
The girl's step came to a halt, throwing her head over her shoulder to glance back at Miguel with some surprise. She didn't think he would be the one to stop her seeing how unwelcoming he was. Now fully turning around to face the three, she places her arms along her hips, eyes squinting in question.
“Hm? What up big ol’ grump?”
Miguel bits his lips, almost drawing blood when his fangs accidentally gaze past his lower lip. He began to regret calling her back.
“First odd, stop with the nicknames. It’s childish. And second, I’ll allow it but as long as you're under surveillance for the first couple of months,”
“Seriously?” her eyes widened, not believing that she was being given a chance. Gwen fist-pumps the air at Miguels words in happiness.
Seeing how Miguel waited patiently for her response, the girl clears her throat. Her hand reached up to the top trace over her mask. “Sure, sounds good to me. I don’t mind!”. As she pulls her mask down, Miguel’s breaths come to a halt.
If he thought her figure, her hair, her eyes were beautiful. It was nothing compared to her face. Her plump lips form into an amused smile, her eyes crinkling as Miguel openly gawks at her full appearance.
The buzzing in the back of his mind that had been bothering him the moment she stepped into the confines of the room coming back at full force. Miuguel couldn't help but clench his fists, casting his eyes away from her. He didn't know what he was feeling, but his heart was racing erratically against his chest. And he was certain it could be heard. Miguel roughly clears his throat awkwardly to gain composure.
“So, who's assigned to me?” the girl asks nonchalantly, walking back to the trio, absentmindedly twirling her mask.
Ather question Hobie stand up straighter, smiling wide, “I can-”
“I will.”
Miguel blurts out, his words causing Hibie to shoot him an amused glace, his smirk playing along his lips. Moiguel catches how the girl slightly cringes at his words, probably afraid of being with someone as intimidating as him.
Feeling all eyes on him, he clears his throat, walking over to stand directly in front of her. Now that he was this close he was surprised how tiny she was compared to his buff and enormous stature.
“I will watch over you for a few months, if you are not performing well enough I’m sending you back to your universe. Got it?” he says sternly, ignoring the fluttering deep within his gut. Maybe it was telling him how hellish the next few months would be with such a bubbly character.
The girl lets out a silvery laugh at his rough time, raising her hand in mock surrender. Her chest vibrates with amusement which makes Miguel gulp nervously at the sight.
“Yes sir! Sounds good, when is the next mission chief?”
“Don’t. Just call me Miguel”
“Alright, Miguel, I’m Y/n L/n.”
~~~~~~~~
“Wow, this is sick!” Y/n murmurs, twirling her wrist adorned with the newly made device. She was so bust inspecting every crevice of the devolve that she missed how Miguel rolled his eyes. Half in annoyance and half in amusement.
“So this is what allows you to jump universes? That is so cool, this is giving ‘Back to The Future’ vibes” She chuckles as Miguel activates his suit, his mask covering his face from view.
“Be careful with that, it's a very important technology. Don’t go playing a round with it-” Miguel warns, pointing to his own device. The smirk doesn't leave Y/n’s face as she adjusts her mask in place.
“- And I’ll know, it also records every universe you enter. So if you so much as play around with it. I will know.” He snarls under his breath, walking past her.
“Jeez, do you ever lighten up?”
“Not when I’m burdened with so much, so come along” Miguel urges, opening a portal a few feet away from them. Y/n works her fingers to detangle her hair watching Miguel step closer into the portal not giving her time to catch up.
“W-wait! Why are you rushing me? Wait up!”
“C’mon niña, we don't have all day. '' Miguel growls slowly.
“Hey! I’m not a kid!” Y/n argues, stepping right beside him. Migual fails to keep his lips from twitching into a smirk at the fact he understood her. Lucky for him she couldn't see the way his eyes soften with warmth due to his mask. But it only lasted a moment. As he stays quiet for a bit to which she huffs in annoyance,
“I took Spanish once as an elective. So don't call me kid! It insulting”
“Fine, I won't call you that. Now try to catch up….princesa”

Yet another Sterek idea.
So in this one.... The Hale family left Beacon Hills after the fire. They were called to protect another territory and another Nemeton. It worked out because being in the area where they were almost killed off entirely wasn't going to be great.
So Beacon Hills is unprotected until a family of Kitsune take over its protection. It's peaceful until their daughter gets caught up with a rogue alpha werewolf who turns her previously human boyfriend.
And that's how Scott and Stiles are initiated into the world of the Supernatural. Through a series of crazier and crazier situations, Stiles becomes the alpha of Beacon Hills.
Even though he's a human.
The Beacon Hills pack is bizarre to say the least. A human, a bitten wolf, a kitsune, a hunter, a kanima, and a banshee. Not to mention the veterinarian witch doctor, the hellhound deputy, and who knows what else.
Derek, his sister Laura, and their Uncle Peter are the Hale pack representatives sent to the United Packs Alliance meeting in the middle of the country. It's a meeting held every 3 years. EVERYONE has heard about the human alpha. For the first time in UPA history, every pack in the continent has sent in at least one pack member to see this bizarre event.
Everyone is gathered in a magically enlarged meeting space in an average sized hotel conference space when the Beacon Hills pack arrives. Late.
Being late would be noticeable enough but the electricity in the air is something no one could ignore. There's something powerful here.
When the doors open they just reveal a very normal pair of guys. A human and a wolf. But when all eyes shift to them, the human's eyes flash a very bright and brilliant red.
All Derek can think is.... Oh no, he's hot.

Please give jily raising Harry!!!
Also do you think Harry would end up with Draco when he’s older or with Ginny? And how would Jily react to whoever his partner was?
eeee jily talk time
i still think they had harry young, maybe 21 or 22, and even though they didn't plan for it they decided to go for it
effie and monty were,,,scared but supportive, they let lily stay with them because her parents 100% weren't okay with her having a baby so young and before getting married, they dont talk for years because of this
james is the best boyfriend to pregnant lily he's so attentive and he googles everything he needs to know, sometimes he's almost too prepared lmao
when james is born the marauders are there and so are all the girls, james loses it and sobs when he first holds harry and lily and remus are just fondly watching james and sirius coo over baby harry for hours
harry is a quiet baby, he never cries, barely stirs honestly, and they think its kinda weird but the doctor, and effie, keeps assuring them thats its fine, he's just a lil quiet
but then he learns how to walk and hes a lil terror lmao he runs around the house in his nappy or with just a shirt giggling and screeching as james and lily run after him
uncle sirius and uncle remus come over a lot, basically whenever they can because sirius cant be away from harry for long, and remus loves walking around the park with harry on his shoulders
lily and james can both cook, but james prefers lily sitting back and relaxing as he makes their meals and then a smaller version for harry
james also does the night shifts, he refuses to let lily do it unless its to breast feed and even then he wishes he could do it for her
lily didnt get PPD really but she was tired and quiet for the first few months, mostly because her sister had Dudley and her parents were happy for her since she's actually married, it just gave her anxiety and made her sad
james is the greatest dad on earth, and lily is the greatest mother on earth, they were born to be parents to this lil guy and everyone can see it
they have weekly dinners at grandma and grandpas house, effie and monty dote on harry so much and they always have a present for him
lily loves dressing harry in tiny versions of james' outfits, her favourite is a pair of blue overalls and a red shirt and james will try and match with his son every time
harry and lily nap together on the big arm chair and james could make an entire photo album with the amount of pictures he has of it
lily takes pictures of everything as well, every little milestone, every event, every birthday, and they make a HUGE scrapbook for harry to give to him when he's old enough to care lmao
the girls also love going to brunch with lil harry, he's a well behaved boy and loves gawking at them as they talk gossip
the boys bring him over to peter's house because he has the biggest gaming set up and tv, and they play funny animated games to keep harry occupied
sirius and mary are harry's godparents
their first holiday together is in cornwall to the potter's beach house, its where james proposes with harry holding the ring box
harry is in their wedding in a little suit and everyone sobs its so cute
and they hold him for their first dance, harry is always included

Baby Fever pt2 (Evan Peters X Reader)
Summary: After returning your niece to her home, you and Evan go back to your own house to start you own family ;)
Word count: 1.8k
Warnings: smut, unprotected sex
Pt1 Pt3
A/n: I was going to throw a daddy kink in here, but I’m not too sure if that would be a turn off for people?? Let me know what you guys think! As always thank you for reading, I hope you enjoy!
Ellie ended up staying with us for close to a week, but fortunately, her grandmother is doing much better. Andrew has come home to take care of Ellie while his wife stays to take care of her mother.
We pull into Andrews driveway, returning his daughter and all of the presents that Evan insisted we buy her; I figured out why Ellie likes her uncle so much now. He bought her every single one of the Monster High dolls because he loves how her eyes light up every time she gets one.
“Thank you guys so much,” Andrew yawns as he pries a whining Ellie out of Evans arms.
“No! No! I wanna stay with them!” She screams and kicks her feet, her new sparkly paw patrol sneakers- courtesy of Evan of course- glinting in the morning sunlight peaking through the porch.
“Now that’s enough Ellie. I know your uncle has spoiled you, but it’s time to come home and unpack now. You’ll see them again soon,” Andrew explains with little patience. He looks exhausted.
“Not fair!” Ellie cries crocodile tears as Andrew opens the front door, ushering her inside.
“Let us know if you need anything else, man,” Evan smiles, pulling his brother into a hug.
•
•
After parking his car in the garage, Evan walks around the vehicle to open the door for me.
“Well, that was an exhausting week,” I smile as I step out onto the concrete. “I can’t wait to go to sleep,” I yawn as Evan opens the door to our house. I love Ellie dearly, but Evan has got to learn to not wind her up or give her soda before bedtime.
“We have one last thing to do before you have your nap, my love,” Evan chuckles before picking me up bridal style, carrying me off to our bedroom. He lays me on our unmade bed onto my back, crawling on top of me, placing a tender kiss on my lips.
“Ev,” I giggle. “Don’t you want me to shower first? It’s been like two days,” I say slightly embarrassed, knowing exactly where this is heading.
“Now what’s the point of that?” My husband asks in between each kiss he peppers down my neck and across my collarbone. “You’re just going to have to shower again once I’m done with you,” he raises his head to look into my eyes, making me blush a bit. I just giggle and wrap my arms around his neck, pulling his lips back to mine. We’ve been together for years, yet I still get butterflies every time he kisses me. His rough hands still leave goosebumps on my bare skin.
“Lets get this off of you,” he says softly, tugging on my oversized sweater. I lift my hands so he can pull it over my head, I lay back down as he scans my bare torso up and down. His eyes still glinting with adoration the same way they did the very first time we were intimate so long ago. His large hands softly slide over my hips and up towards my breasts.
“You’re such a work of art,” he says lowly, still simply admiring my body. “Y/n, you’ve truly made me the luckiest man alive,” he places a kiss on my nose, then pulls his black t-shirt over his head. I quickly pull his lips back to mine, desperate to taste him again.
“I love you so much Evan,” I swoon against his lips, entangling my fingers into the curls on the back of his head. Evans hands find their way to my breasts, as he works his lips passionately on mine. I trail my hands down his back to pull him closer to me, needing to feel his skin on mine. With our chests pressed flush together, I raise my feet up to the waistband of his sweats, pushing them down his legs. This earns a chuckle from Evan as he pulls away to further remove the pants and his boxers.
“That was kind of impressive,” he grins as he scoots further down the bed.
“Thank you,” I giggle while he pulls my leggings and underwear off. Evan settles between my legs, placing them on his shoulders before grabbing my hips to pull me closer to him. He uses a finger to spread my slick up to my clit, taking a moment to cherish the sight of my dripping core. “So pretty,” he says to himself before licking a strip from my entrance to my bundle of nerves, where he stops to kitten lick.
“You always make me feel so good baby,” I hum as I melt into his touch. His expert tongue works at my clit as he pushes two fingers into me, curling into the perfect spot, making me moan out his name. I feel him smile against me as he picks up speed. His fingers pumping into me at just the right pace, curling into my g-spot every time as he sucks and laps at my clit quickly creates a knot in my stomach. The room is filled with the sound of him pumping in and out of me and my loud moans as my legs begin to shake on either side of his head.
“Do you wanna cum for me, baby?” Evan smirks
“Yes,” I moan. “Please-fuck,” I squeal as my walls throb around his fingers. With Evans tongue hard at work and a steady pace I feel myself unravel. The unholiest of sounds leave my trembling lips as I release into his hand over his face. The orgasm courses through me, leaving my skin tingling. Evan crawls up to press a very wet kiss on my lips. He never wipes my release off his face, wearing it with pride as it drips down and beads in his beard.
“You taste so good baby,” he pants through the rough kiss as he wedges himself between my legs again. “I can never get enough of you,” he groans against my lips. He instinctively reaches to our nightstand to retrieve a condom.
“Have you changed your mind?” I giggle. He raises an eye brow then quickly realizes the reason for tonight’s event.
“How could I forget,” he chuckles lining himself up with my entrance, using his thumb to rub my clit. “I get to cum in this perfect pussy,” he groans against my lips making my stomach do a flip. He pulls his head back, gentle grabbing my face to look at him. His eyes pierce mine as I feel him slide in slowly, more gentle than usual, but so much more erotic. A low groan leaves Evans throat
“Fuck you feel so good,” he breaths, still staring directly into my eyes, his nose almost brushing against mine. his hand moves from my jaw to my hips so he can hold me in place while he bottoms out inside of me, making me arch my back and curl my toes.
“Oh my god Ev,” I moan, loving how deep he fills me. Evan sits up straight so he can properly thrust into me, pulling my hips flush to his every time he pushes into me, making sure to bury every inch of himself into me.
He begins to pick up speed, getting more desperate every time he rocks his hips into mine. He brings a thumb up to my mouth, pulling his lip between his teeth as I take it into my mouth, swirling my tongue a couple times.
“Atta girl,” he smirks, his eyes glancing back and for the between my own and my mouth. He removes his thumb, using it to draw circles on my clit. The extra stimulation is exactly what I needed paired with the sight of my god of a husband pounding impossibly deep into me, his curls bouncing in sync with his thrusts, his head thrown back in pleasure as he hits the deepest parts of my body. The way his veins pop in his hands and arms as he grips onto my hips for dear life, and his moans. Fuck, his moans. The sounds this man makes as he’s buried inside of me could bring me to an orgasm all on their own.
“Fuck,” I squeal, my voice trembling. Evan moves his head to look down at me, smiling at the sight below him. “Goddamn you fuck me so good,” I praise as I feel myself nearing my second orgasm. “I want you to cum in me Ev,” I demand. “I want to feel your cum inside me while I cum around your cock, please baby,” I whine as I begin to pulse around his throbbing dick. Evan groans out a fuck’, reaching up to grab my face again.
“Look at me baby,” he growls, “look at me while I fill you up,” he brings his face so close to mine that his hair brushes my forehead as he rams himself as far into me as he possibly can. “Fuck!” I scream- much louder than intended- the curse punctuated with each thrust. Evan groans lowly as he shoots hot white cum against my cervix as I release around him, our intimate eye contact broken as mine roll back into my head while he mercilessly fucks his seed deeper into me. Evans thrusts slow and he releases his death grip from my face. I lay panting below him, a sweaty mess as every inch of my body trembles. I feel almost as If I’m floating.
Evan kisses my forehead then pulls himself out of me, scooching down to examine the mess he’s made inside of me.
“Fuck,” he groans at the sight his cum dripping out of my swollen pussy. He looks up me between my legs. “This is a really good look for you,” he smiles. I don’t even want to move my mouth to speak, still riding on cloud nine. “Lets get you cleaned up sweetie,” he chuckles. Picking me up bridal style, carrying me to the bathroom.
He sets me gently onto my shaky feet so he can draw me a bath.
“I love you,” I say, meaning every syllable of the sentence. He turns, flashing his dimples before picking up my hands to place a gentle kiss on each.
“And I, you,” he brushes my hair behind my ear.
As I sink into the much-needed bath, Evan asks,
“So, when can we take a pregnancy test?” making me giggle.
“We have to wait a couple weeks, Ev,” I smile.
“Oh,” he looks a bit disappointed, then after a beat he smirks. “I guess that means we’ll have to do that a couple more times until we can test,”
“I think that’s exactly what it means,” I laugh.

Omega Tony Stark getting baby fever later in life (at a similar time to Canon!Tony I guess so mid to late 40’s and let’s pretend there was no CW and the team is still all friends together*). And he never wanted kids before, in fact the very idea made him shudder! (à la IM3). Plus he resent the stereotype of “baby crazy omega” being foisted on him in his youth and fought HARD against it until the public all agreed with him, thank god Tony Stark never had kids.
but then he starts interacting with Peter and he’s getting more into mentoring and he’s been having these dreams of little babies with his eyes…
And like, he knows his body has been thru the wringer even BEFORE the reactor and he hasn’t been gentle since. And he’s been single for years now so it’s not like he has a partner to help him get the job done…
So good thing he has a team! And what luck, he’s besties with some demi-gods and super soldiers and wizards, at least one of them should help cheat biology a bit. And miraculously he’s still getting heats! Inconsistent ones yeah but still, doesn’t hurt to try! better get a move on, the biological clock is ticking!!!
And so he calls a team meeting and asks very sweetly for any volunteers, and Alphas or Beta’s for something like a sperm donor, but if they wanna be part of the little nugget’s life Tony is down with that! Be it cool uncle or full co-parent it’s all gravy. And speaking of gravy
(Yes Tony swung this hypothetical talk by HR and they “highly recommended against it but it isn’t technically illegal…” (thanks to archaic omega laws) so he took that go ahead and ran)
And wouldn’t you know it? Ever since Steve told Tony about his parents and Bucky and some…heated disagreements about the team and politics there’s been some polite distance between them. And during this distance Steve of course realized he had feeling for Tony (king of waiting to long over here) and has been pining every since…
…so maybe that’s why Steve stands up and essentially, loudly, volunteers as tribute, talking loudly over like say Thor who was clearly about to also agree.
Does Tony accept this outright or does shenanigans happen where like, Thor challenges Steve to some kind of contest for the privilege. Or that Tony was gonna leave it up to people to donate anonymously or something but Steve just jumped in feet first
What happens next? Do they try turkey baster style first or is it a known fact in the Omegaverse that the “old fashioned way” is the most effective (blah blah special pheromones thru touch/heat/ancient breeding magic blah blah). Does Steve wanna go full co-parent? Do they start dating DURING the “attempts”? While Tony is preggers?? After the baby gets here???
(preggers!Tony fretting about what to wear on their first date while just SO VERY pregnant is hilarious to me.)
*Or if you wanna go full angst CW DOES happen but the team was able to come together and defeat Thanos and now they are technically all together and friends again but there are ~*~tensions~*~ and (TヘT) …distance~*~ + pining
---
Lol well that's a fun scenario! I don't think Thor would challenge Steve for the honour, but he might see the determined glint in Steve's eye and think to himself, ah what fun! And make a show of trying to convince Tony that he's a better prospect than Steve, arguing about Asgardian genes and the ease of the pregnancies in Thor's family, meanwhile Steve is getting redder and redder in the face, but anyway Tony's like, actually I don't want my kid to suddenly start levitating or whatever magic nonsense you guys get up to, so Steve it is!
Steve would probably suggest the turkey baster (lol) insemination for Tony's ease but it doesn't take and Tony gets anxious because of super soldier swimmers are struggling with Tony's slightly(!) aging self then he might really have a problem so ANYWAY would Steve be up for going the traditional way?
Yes. Yes, Steve would. Anyway it's the best sex Tony's had in his life and he's just like, okay, what was that. Maybe... they can go again just to make sure. A third time, just to be REALLY sure. Then oh he's pregnant so. uh..... that's good. Good job, Steve. Thnx~
But intimacy is what it is and the spectacular sex may have addled Tony's brain because he's totally fine with Steve fussing around him, and asking very politely if he can be part of the child's life and will Tony allow him to take care of Tony during this time? With foot rubs and making drinks for him and fetching hot water bottles and calming Tony down whenever Tony has an attack of the doubts, and so on?
Then Steve is so focused on giving Tony everything he wants and anticipating his every need to make sure the pregnancy goes as smooth as possible, that he misses that Tony is having a slowly-unraveling meltdown under Steve's glorious attention.
I see your possible date while Tony is heavily pregnant, but also I think it would be hilarious if Tony is so determined not to lose focus on the baby, because his priorities have to change with this gift he is bringing into the world and there's no energy left over to do something about developing feelings for Steve (never mind that Tony is king as multitasking)...
But at the very last minute when Steve has sent Tony to the hospital and they're prepping for Tony's c-section, and Tony has another flash of fear for the soon-changing future, and grabs Steve for a big ol' smooch. Steve is shocked, but smooches back. Then Tony gets rolled out to the OR.

Back To Life - TASM!Peter Parker
Marvel Masterlist
Speak Now TV Masterlist
Summary : Your mom and May set you and Peter up on a date, thinking you'll be a good match but both of you think it won't work.
Warnings : mention of Gwen's and Uncle Ben's deaths, mention of toxic relation (no details), anxiety, a bit of angst, happy ending, maybe some grammatical mistakes as English is not my first language, tell me if you see some or if I missed any warnings.
Word count : 3.1k
French version
Song inspiration : Electric Touch by Taylor Swift Feat. Fall Out Boys (Taylor's Version) (From The Vault)
Your clothes are scattered everywhere in your room; it looks like there has been a tornado though it doesn’t stop you from looking for the perfect outfit in your closet. Wrapped in a bathroom towel, despair takes over your body, you should have never listened to your mom. At least, you wouldn’t be in this situation. You grunt when someone knocks on your bedroom door, you tell the person to come in and your mom enters.
“You’re still not ready? He’s coming in thirty minutes!”
“Yes, mom, I know!” you drily retort before taking a softer voice, “Sorry. I just don’t know what to wear, I’m getting fed up.”
“Just put on something you feel good in.”
“Easier said than done! I only find flaws in my clothes. I don’t even know why I listened to you in the first place. I don’t even know him and we already have a date. This guy might be awful.” you start to ramble, pacing around your room. “I mean, you don’t even really know him either. You only know what your colleague May told you. Maybe she made him better than he actually is!”
“I might not know him personally, though I’ve seen him several times and do I need to remind you you saw him once, too. You even found him cute.”
“I saw him for five minutes, two years ago, it doesn’t count.”
“I’m sure Peter is a nice guy.” your mom affirms, stroking your cheek to calm you down. “Just to prove it to you, whenever May forgets her lunch, he always brings it to her with a big smile on his face and a kiss on the cheek. He always comes with her at work when it’s dark. And every time I talked with him, he was really polite. Do you seriously think I would have set you up on a date with the first guy I found? I have some instincts, sweetheart.”
“I’m still not convinced. We only exchanged, like, three messages and it was just to make sure it was still okay for today. Besides, maybe he won’t like me. And even if it works out tonight, who knows if it’ll last? I got a history of stories ending badly. That’s it, I’m not going, it’ll be for the better.” you state, taking your phone but your mom takes it from your hands.
“You’re not gonna cancel. Just breathe, just relax, it’ll be okay.” she tells you softly. “Look, I know your last relationship with George went bad and you suffered a lot because of it but you can’t keep closing your heart to new people because you’re scared you’ll find another version of him. Furthermore, even if things didn’t match between you and Peter, which I know won't be the case, you would have at least taken a step forward, you don’t have to be worried. Come on, put this on and you’ll see, you’ll be beautiful and at ease in your clothes.” your mom adds as she gives you a mid-length dress. “I have to go to work. Text me when you’re home, okay? Be careful. It’s going to be okay, sweetheart, I’m sure.”
Your mom kisses you one last time on the forehead before leaving your room. You let go of a sigh then finish getting ready. While doing your makeup, you can’t help but keep checking your phone, waiting for a potential message from Peter telling you the date is cancelled. Your mom managed to calm your anxiety down, yet your fear quickly came back once you’re alone again. For you, this date can only end in two ways: either it ends badly and it’ll break your heart, which is most likely to happen, or everything will be good and your heart will finally heal, which you doubt. You wonder if Peter is in the same state of mind as you.
The answer is easy: his state of panic is worse than yours. He only agreed to this date to make Aunt May happy. Since Gwen’s death, he has closed himself off but now, he wants to make an effort. However, among those efforts, ‘going out with other people’ wasn’t part of it, especially if it ends up putting another person he loves in danger; he can’t reproduce what happened with Gwen. At first, he tried to get out of it, though May insisted so much that he gave in. He sees this date as his last chance to check if he can have a romantic life whilst being Spider-man. He’d love for it to work just one time yet he can’t help but be pessimistic about it.
Knowing you’re only meeting at the end of the day, Peter decided to go on his daily patrol earlier. Nothing much stands out of the ordinary, therefore, he comes home just on time to get ready. At least, no matter if this date is catastrophic, he’s sure he’ll be on time.
Entering his room, he takes off his Spider-man suit and takes a shower. In his closet, he takes the first outfit he finds then he starts panicking.
“It’s a first date, I can’t wear whatever clothes I find,” he tells himself.
He’s about to change when he wonders why he’s overthinking this much when he knows it’s not gonna work out. You’re probably not going to like him or vice-versa. So, he puts back on his black t-shirt and takes a glance at himself in the mirror. His outfit is casual, maybe too casual for a first date. He should add a jacket. He can’t tell the difference it makes. He has no idea if his outfit is okay. After all, he doesn’t want to try too much but on the other hand, he wants to try a bit, you deserve to have a date with a guy who is presentable. He ends up changing his black t-shirt for a dark blue one. It’s less sad, isn’t it? As soon as he checks the time, he realises he can’t think any longer and goes to do his hair. May interrupts him to tell him she’s leaving for work.
“You look cute like this, I’m sure Y/N will agree with me.”
“Don’t know.” Peter mutters, turning around to be in front of May.
“Believe me, it’s already the case. Her mom told me you caught her eyes.” She affirms with a big smile.
“It doesn’t mean this date will go well. I’m not even sure I want to go out with someone else, Aunt May.”
“Peter, I know Gwen’s death has been hard on you but you can’t stay stuck in a world where Gwen is with you,” May starts as she puts her hands on her nephew. “You have to move on. That doesn’t mean you’re going to forget her. Gwen will always be in your heart and that’s normal, but it doesn’t mean you can’t let another person in. Besides, this date doesn’t have to end with a relationship. I’m already proud to see you allow yourself to move on despite the pain.”
“I miss her.” Peter whispers.
“I know, honey.”
“Do you think pain ever stops?”
“I think it becomes easier to live with it,” May softly answers. “You know, now I can think about your Uncle Ben without feeling my heart breaking completely. I can think about the good memories first before remembering he’s not here anymore. It’ll be okay for you, too, Peter. I’m sure of it.”
Peter smiles one last time at his aunt while she leaves the room. When Peter is ready, he checks his phone and sees you haven’t cancelled last minute, so he has no other choice than leaving to take the subway. Technically, he should be at your place at 7:00 P.M. sharp so you can go to a dinner which is fifteen minutes away from your home.
In the subway, Peter’s stress gets higher and higher as he thinks about what he could say to you, after all, he doesn’t know you. Your conversations might be empty and if it’s the case, it’s going to be a very very long date. As he thinks about a question he could ask you as an icebreaker, the subway abruptly stops. Peter looks through the windows and he sees they haven’t arrived at the next station yet. Suddenly, a voice interrupts Peter’s interrogations as it informs them:
“Dear passengers, we are currently having some technical difficulties. We are doing everything we can to fix the situation as quickly as possible. We apologise for this inconvenience.”
Peter sighs once he hears this information. He is going to be late. Great. He takes his phone out of his pocket to text you but, of course, he doesn’t have a signal.
For him, this breakdown is like a sign, he shouldn’t have accepted to go out with someone. Even if all of this doesn’t end like Gwen, the fact is, it won’t work, it’s for certain. He’d like not to suffer again, yet Peter feels like he’s allergic to happiness.
Peter tries to calm down his anxiety as he thinks back to Aunt May’s words and puts his phone away before waiting until the situation is fixed.
As for you, you’re waiting for Peter, sitting on your living room couch. It’s almost seven, he should be here any minute now. From time to time, you glance at the window but you don’t see him. The more the time goes by, the more you’re fidgeting.
“Just breathe, just relax, it’ll be okay”, your mother’s words resonate in your head in vain.
Your eyes go from the window to your phone, both of them bring you no news about Peter’s whereabouts. You start biting your lips, imagining the worst case scenarios. Maybe he stood you up? No, your mom assured you he was a nice guy, he wouldn’t do it. Maybe you gave him the wrong address? You check your messages and discover you made no mistake. Maybe you were wrong on the day and time of the date? Once again, your messages prove you wrong. Maybe something bad happened to him, then? No, you can’t start imagining awful things. He’s just late, nothing else. Right?
You wait a little bit more and when it’s half past seven, you text him to know where he is. You don’t get an answer. You start biting your nails whilst your heart begins to race in your chest, the stress getting out of hand, you don’t understand what’s happening and you start second-guessing this date. It was clearly a mistake, you should have never agreed to it. You would have loved for it to work for once however it seems like you’re doomed. You were right, you are going to have your heart broken and this date will end badly - if Peter ever shows up.
After being stuck for forty minutes in the subway, Peter finally arrives at your station. He weaves in between people as he runs so he isn’t any later than he already is. Five minutes later, he sees your house from afar. As soon as he passes by your living room window, you see him running like he’s being chased by something. Checking your phone, you see it’s 8:05. He’s more than an hour late, at that realisation, you roll your eyes. He better have a good excuse. You have already had guys who weren’t punctual, you don’t need another one!
Once he’s at your door, he quickly runs a hand in his hair, takes a deep breath before knocking. He waits for a moment before you open the door. As soon as he sees you, Peter is mesmerised by your beauty so he just stands there, saying nothing. When you give him a look, he snaps back before speaking.
“I’m so sorry for being late. I was stuck in the subway and-”
“I would have appreciated a text.” you interrupt him, drily.
“I didn’t have a signal. I got one once I arrived at the station. Normally, I’m always on time, I swear. I’m sorry I made you wait. You probably thought I stood you up which is totally normal but I didn’t. I tried to come here as soon as I could when the subway worked again.” Peter explains and you can tell he’s being sincere. “I’ve ruined everything, haven’t I? I didn’t mean it. I totally get it if you don't want us to go out.”
“I still want to. The subway broke down, it’s not your fault,” you reassure him with a smile.
Upon hearing your sentence, Peter smiles back at you. Even if he wasn’t excited to go out with you, he made a commitment to you and he always makes sure to fulfil his promises.
You take your bag and close your front door. Peter lets you walk first and you go to the diner. On the way there, you ask Peter a few more questions about the subway breakdown, not really knowing what topic is best to bring first.
Once you’re at your table, you keep doing small talk. Just by looking at you two, people could tell you’re not at ease, you don’t know how to act toward the other. None of you is ready to have a deep conversation. It's as if you have forgotten how to act on a first date. You even think about making up an excuse to leave. The conversation is awkward until you order your food. After talking about yet another random topic, Peter sighs before talking:
“I’m sure this situation is as awkward for you as it is for me. Your mom and my aunt set us up but it doesn’t mean it has to feel like this. I don’t know for you, but it’s my first date in a long time and I’m a bit rusty. My last relationship ended…, let’s just say, tragically, and so maybe we don’t really need to put big expectations for tonight. We should just get to know each other without expecting anything in particular and just see where it leads us, if that’s okay with you?”
“That’s okay with me.” you agree, letting go of a sigh of relief. “My last relationship ended badly, too. It was pretty toxic and I have to admit I need to warm up to new people first.”
“Let’s take it slowly then. No need to have a big romantic date, let’s just have a nice moment with someone new. What do you say?”
“I say I agree with you.”
From that moment on, the tension leaves your table, letting you get to know each other in peace. Peter asks some questions about the last book you read and quickly, you start talking about your interests, no matter if you have them in common or not.
In the end, you spend a good moment together. You hadn’t laughed that much in a long time. Peter is instantly enamoured by your laugh, loving the way your face brightens. Peter talks a bit about him and you have to admit you like his personality more and more. You mom was right, Peter is genuinely nice. At some points, you both mention your last relationship, without going into too much detail. You still have a long way to go, though you’re not against the idea of walking side by side.
After eating, you stay a bit longer at the restaurant, not noticing the time going by. When you leave, it’s past 10:00 P.M. As soon as you’re outside, you shiver because of the cold night. Peter notices it and offers you his jacket. At first, you refuse, but he insists so you accept it. As he puts his jacket on your shoulder, his right hand brushes past your shoulder and you shiver again, yet this time, it’s not because of the cold, your heart also beats faster yet, not because of your anxiety. His touch is like electricity and upon raising your head, you see how close Peter is to you and you think about how even more beautiful he is at this distance. You try not to show anything as you start walking to your place.
On the way home, you keep talking and you wish this moment would never end. You never thought you’d feel this connected to a man this quickly. As for Peter, he never thought he would let himself look tenderly at another woman who isn’t Gwen. Aunt May was right, Gwen will always be in his heart however he’s not as against the idea of letting someone new in as he used to be. Maybe not right away, but if you were to find your way to his heart, he would be happy about it.
Once you’re in front of your door, you give Peter his jacket back and you secretly hope to touch his hand but the clothes prevent you from doing it. You smile at Peter as he finishes talking about his theory about the multiverse.
“It was really nice tonight. I didn’t think I would have such a great time.” he smiles.
“Me neither. I had some apprehension.”
“I get it.”
“You know, I wouldn’t mind doing something like this again,” you start, avoiding his gaze, “I’d be happy to see where this leads us, even if we’re taking our time.”
“I’d be happy about it, too. Do you think it’s too soon to tell you you’re stunning? I’ve been thinking about it all evening and I just thought I should tell you before leaving and regret not telling you.”
At his compliment, your cheeks heat up while a smile makes its way on your face which Peter finds more than cute. Knowing he made you smile warms his heart.
“It’s not too soon, I appreciate the compliment. You’re cute, too. And do you think it’ll be too soon if I kissed your cheek?” you ask and Peter freezes. Instantly, you regret your question and you don’t know what to do with yourself. “Sorry, I went too far, I shouldn’t have.”
“I just didn’t expect this but I wouldn’t mind.”
A bit embarrassed, you get closer to Peter and put your hand on his cheek before kissing his right one. Feeling your touch on his skin, Peter can’t breathe for a second. He didn’t think your touch would be this electric on his skin. The kiss was short yet it’s already engraved in his memory. He knows he’s going to think about it every second of the day. When you back up, you wish him a good night before entering your house. Peter stands there until your door is closed, then he leaves your porch, a big smile on his lips.
You both lovingly think back to the evening you’ve just had. You know it’s only the beginning, though you already know one just like the other will know how to bring your heart back to life. You already want to see each other again and maybe it’ll take some time to allow yourself to fully fall in love again, but you don’t mind. For once, you know it’s going to end well.

Peter idolized Mysterio extremely fast, because Beck knew exactly how to manipulate the kid.
He watched him, did his research. He knew who what Peter needed.
Tony Stark.
The entire world was asking Spider-Man if he was the new Tony Stark. Captain America, Black Widow, Iron Man, all gone. the Avengers had been ripped apart when they saved the world, and now civilians were scared. Who would protect them if things like that were out there? Spider-Man was the only one standing up and still fighting for his city, he was mentored by Iron Man. Surely he would step up.
Peter felt the pressure, the questions. Even Fury was trying to push him to be the next Tony, fulfill his duty as an Avenger.
But Beck stood up for him.
"He's not bored, he's just thinking about how you kidnapped him"
He understands Peter wants to enjoy time with his friends, with MJ.
"You're not a jerk for wanting a normal life kid"
Everyone else was adamant though.
"Stark chose you. He made you an Avenger. I need that, the world needs that. Maybe Stark was wrong."
Here Fury is telling him that not stepping up would be failing the world, failing Stark. Putting words into the mouth of Peter's dead mentor.
Everyone knows that Tony Stark is Peter's weak spot-
"Tony did a lot for me so, I owe it to him. To everybody"
But Beck is always a step ahead.
He sets himself up as the knight in shining arming, showing up right when the world needs him, after all the heroes had fought and died and disappeared. (Iron Man was the first superhero the world had seen since Captain America. Peter worshipped him since he was a little kid. He burst into Peter's life, gave him an incredible suit, and cleaned up his messes).
He lifts Peter up when he's down. "Don't ever apologize for being the smartest in the room" "a part of me wants me to tell you to turn around, run away from all this". (Tony was the only one smart enough to understand how smart Peter was, too. Told him to stay away from the big stuff and help the little guy. He followed Mr. Stark onto that spaceship after being told to go home over and over).
He becomes a mentor. "It's really nice to have someone to talk to about superhero stuff, y'know" Peter tells him. It's painfully reminiscent of being 15, blowing up the phone with texts and voicemails because Mr. Stark was the only one who knew his identity and knew what it was like to be a hero. The way he'd look at Tony with eager eyes every time they were face to face, just happy to be seen. He'd had to fight so hard for Tony to listen to him, and losing it was... harder than he realized.
So here Beck is, a better hero than Spider-Man, more supportive than Fury- and then he asks the perfect question:
"What do you want, Peter?"
He lets the kid imagine a better life, a life where he isn't the next Iron Man. He looks up at Beck and sees his escape, sees someone far more qualified. Not only would it be an out for Peter, but the world would simply be better off with Mysterio.
"the world needs the next Iron Man, it needs to be an adult with some experience, who's good like Tony Stark, like you"
Everyone made it so easy for Beck- they broke Peter's self-esteem down till he was certain he couldn't be the next Iron Man. Denied him at every turn a piece of a normal life, any balance. Everyone was so desperate for a hero that no one questioned when Beck strolled in, charmed everyone, and proved himself the only solution.
Peter is 16. He's a kid. He lost so many years already; with his parents, his uncle, with gaining super powers. He lost Tony, his support system. He's desperate for an adult to take this burden from him.
For the next Tony Stark.
So he takes Edith, the physical symbol of his responsibility, and hands it to the nearest capable adult.
I just wanted to be like you!
And I wanted you to be better.
Peter Parker is not Tony Stark.

Peter?!
Y/N: 14 years old Peter: 16 years old Wanda: mama Nat: mom Story: Y/N finds out Peter is Spider-man… ——————————————————
NO ONE'S POV This year has been crazy for Natasha and Wanda. Their daughter Y/N has started high school which both women hate, cause their little girl is growing up. Especially when their little girl started talking about this one boy from higher grade who also happens to be her friend. It's obvious that the girl has a huge crush on him.
Wanda finds it sweet that her daughter has a first crush, but Natasha hates it. Y/N's her little girl and she wants to stay it like that for as long as possible.
"What are you guys doing after school?" Ned asks his friends. Peter and Ned have been Y/N's closest friends ever since she met them her first school day. Just like the two boys, she's not really popular. Yes, her mothers are Avengers, but the girl is using a fake surname just to stay safe as her mothers wanted it.
"I got that job at Stark's" Peter says on which Y/N furrows her brows. Peter has mentioned a few times something about his Stark's intership, but Y/N still hasn't figured out what that is. She's pretty sure her uncle doesn't employ kids at Stark's industries.
"What exactly are you even doing there?" Y/N question, trying to figure this whole thing up. Once she's after something, she won't stop. That's something she got after Natasha.
"You know… just stuff they tell me to do" Peter shrugs, but it's definitely not an answer Y/N wanted to hear.
"Like what?" The girl asks, curiousness getting the best out of her. She could just read his mind and find out as she has powers like Wanda, but she has a deal with her mama not to do that. One time she did it to pass a test and Wanda somehow knew right after the girl came home, so Y/N decided to better respect her mother's wish. "Just some stuff. Hm.. I-I gotta go now or I'll be late. See you later!" Peter waves and leaves, leaving Y/N completely confused.
Y/N makes an excuse why she can't come with Ned and makes her way out of the school. Her aunt Yelena is already waiting in the car for her, so the young witch just slips in the passenger seat.
Yelena isn't one of the Avengers just yet, so it should be fine if Y/N is seen with her. The blonde agreed to help in some fights, but she only just got out of the Red Room a few months ago, so she's still enjoying her life without any commitment such as the Avengers.
The two make it home safely and Y/N immediately goes to the kitchen, knowing her mama is there by the smell of her favorite paprikash.
"Hi there, my little monkey" Wanda smiles at her daughter who hugs her mama tightly, receiving a kiss on a forehead.
"Hi, mama" Y/N smiles back before turning around and spotting Natasha sitting on the bar stool. "Hi, mommy" She smiles at her other mother who gives her a smile back and greets her back. "Mama, can I have that when is done?" Y/N asks with puppy eyes, pointing at the paprikash Wanda's been cooking.
"Sure, baby" Wanda smiles before turning her attention back to the food.
Y/N makes her way to Natasha's arms, hugging her tightly while Natasha kisses the top of her daughter's head. There's nothing Y/N loves more than hugs from her moms.
"How was at school?" Natasha asks with a smile, running her fingers through Y/N's hair.
"Boring as usual" Y/N sighs before remembering the thing with Peter. "Although… I think Peter's lying about his job at uncle Tony's, cause he's been acting super weird about it when I asked him"
"Guys, we have a new Avenger. Tony wants us all in the meeting room" Steve informs before disappearing. Wanda turns off the stove as her paprikash is done and together with Natasha and Y/N walks to the meeting room.
Y/N sits between her moms, getting cuddles from both of them immediately. Tony then walks into the meeting room with the boy Y/N only just said goodbye to at school.
"Guys, this is our new Aven-" Tony starts, but gets cut out by the youngest one of them.
"Peter?" Y/N asks, Peter locking his eyes with his friend.
"Y/N? Wha-What are you doing here?" Peter asks confused, Y/N also tilting her head in confusion.
"Me? What are you doing here? You're the new Avenger?" Y/N blurts out, surprised her friend hasn't told her anything.
"Yes, squish" Tony agrees, using his nickname for Y/N which makes the girl roll her eyes. "If you let me finish I'd tell you that Peter Parker is our new addition to the team. You might know him as Spider-man" He finishes, making Y/N even more confused. Peter is Spider-man?!
"You are Spider-man? Why didn't you tell me anything? You're my best friend" The confused girl blurts out, Natasha hiding her smirk as she'll be able to control what's going on between her daughter and Peter now.
"I see… so this is the Peter" Wanda smirks, Y/N giving her a glare and Peter tilting his head in confusion.
"Wait. What are you doing here?" Peter asks again.
"Kids, you can talk about this later" Tony rolls his eyes, getting impatient.
Y/N rolls her eyes too, leaning to Natasha who wraps an arm around her little girl and kisses the top of her head. Tony explains how will everything work, how will it be with missions for Peter and stuff which isn't exactly interesting for Y/N as she's not an Avenger… yet.
Once Tony is done with his speech, Y/N is ripped out of her daydreaming and follows everyone out of the room, rushing to Peter.
"Why didn't you tell me anything? How did you even get the powers? Oh my god, does Ned know?" Y/N blurts out as soon as she reaches Peter.
"Me? Why didn't you tell me anything? What are you even doing here? You're not an Avenger and you don't have powers" Peter says, looking at Y/N completely confused.
"I do have powers… I'm just not allowed to use them. I would beat your ass in less than 10 minutes" Y/N says, pulling out a smirk similar to her mothers' smirks. "And I live here, my moms-"
"Y/N/N, honey, do you want the paprikash?" Wanda calls from the kitchen, cutting Y/N's sentence off.
"Yes, please! Thanks, mama!" Y/N calls back.
"Just so you know, if you land your hands on my daughter, I'll beat your ass myself. And I don't care you're only 16" Natasha being the overprotective mother she is, she warns Peter, wrapping her arm around Y/N protectively.
"Mooom" Y/N groans in response, mentally slapping herself for talking about Peter in front of her overprotective mothers. -------------------- I didn't know how to end this…

Peter Parker - I wasn't here.
Warning : canon death
Genre : Angst
Synopsis : “Tasm!peter Parker x male reader who’s basically like Superman, basically them being childhood friends and eventually becoming heroes and telling one another but maybe during a patrol they get into a fight and have a falling off. fluff to angst” - anon
Reader : gender neutral (you/yours)
You grew up with Peter, he wasn't your only friend but over the years he had been your only constant. The one who stayed despite all odds.
You were here at his parents’ death, giving him your support even though you were barely 6.
Even when you weren't in the same school he would still visit your house after class to do homework with you, even if you didn't have the same ones.
As you developed your powers, you told him about it. Both experiencing what you could do and couldn't. It constantly evolved, gaining new powers over time. He was the only one who knew about it, except your parents who had told you what would happen during your teenage years.
He never repeated it to anyone and you felt thankful. Not even when you began your vigilante activities after a few years.
Fighting villains and helping people whenever you could. Peter envied you, he wanted to do the same. He even was your guy in a chair for a time before gaining his own super powers, but he didn't tell you about them.
You were here again at the death of his uncle, but it's only later he told you about everything. His powers, his tracking of his uncle's murderer, and why he really died.
He explained how he got bitten by a spider in the Oscorp building he sneaked in. And how troublesome it was to get back home, making you laugh loudly as he was retelling the events of how he ripped that poor lady's shirt off.
“It's not funny !”
“It is ! You would've laughed if it had happened to me !”
“I wouldn't !”
“Liar !”
“It was embarrassing ! I looked like a total pervert !” He complained, planting his face in his hands, making you laugh again.
Like he had helped you with yours, you helped him with his powers. Helping him fabricate his suit and go after the guy who killed his uncle, without much success, finding the courage to climb high buildings as well.
Slowly his masked activities broadened, he wasn't looking anymore just for his uncle's murderer, but for anyone the police couldn't help.
And it's naturally you two went on patrol together. He even carried out his first big mission alone ; stopping Curt Connors from turning the whole of New York into giant lizards. Everything turned out fine, if not for the loss of George Stacy's life, Gwen's father.
“You're gonna make enemies. People will get hurt. Sometimes the people closest to you. So I want you to promise me something, okay ? Leave Gwen out of it. Promise me that. You promise me.” Were his last words to Peter, unable to utter a word, nodding only.
So he did as promised, he had broken up with her, or more accurately avoided her completely. He told you about it and you patted his back, telling him he was doing the right thing.
But time passed and they got back together, before breaking up again, and so on.
Everything was going fine until you began to talk about Gwen. His love that he couldn't drop.
You had stated your disagreement with his relationship, believing it was dangerous for Gwen to be around you or Peter as she didn't have powers to protect herself.
“I know you love her man, but you should leave her alone.”
“That's what I'm doing, [Name]. We broke up.”
“Really ? For real this time ? Or for a couple days ?” You didn't mean to sound this harsh, but you got tired of it. Tired to see your friend's guilty feelings eat him alive and make him act irrationally.
He frowned, not liking your insinuation.
“Yeah. For real.”
“Peter, you really should leave her alone, even if she comes to you. You know her father is right.”
“I know ! I don't need you to repeat what I know already ! Don't act like you're my conscience or something.”
“I'm not trying to act like I'm your conscience, but you clearly need me to be it since you keep seeing her. Do you think you're slick ? Stalking her ?”
“What ?” He laughed nervously. " I'm not stalking her !”
“Liar. If I could see it, what if a villain saw it too ? And connected the dots ? Thinking ‘oh Spider-Man likes her so I must kill her to hurt him’.”
“I'm being careful.”
“We're heroes. We're literally in the face of danger, we're not careful. Careful is to run away when in front of it.”
“I'm not alone, there's you, we can protect her with the two of us.” He smiled. Sometimes, he trusted your abilities too much.
“Do you think I have the time to constantly watch one person when there's all of New York to take care of ?”
“When you can't I will !”
“Peter, do you hear yourself ? This is not healthy !”
He took a step back, biting his own tongue.
“I have it under control.”
“You don't. You break up with her because you feel guilty. And when you can ignore her father you date her again. Then you feel guilty once more and you break up, again. This isn't healthy for any of you. How long are you going to keep hurting her ?”
“That's why this is the last time. I broke up with her for good.”
“Yeah ? Once again for how long ? A month ? Two ?”
“Stop it.”
“No ! You're gonna get her killed. Or drop the suit if you want her that much. Spiderman or Gwen ? Pick one, you can't have both !”
He said nothing for a moment, taking in your words.
“You're wrong, I can protect her.” He says quietly, hurt by your words.
You huffed, tired.
“I don't think you can. Why do you think you're the only friend I have now ? Because I know you can protect yourself, the others can't. It's too dangerous. You should know that.”
He remained silent for a moment.
“You should trust your powers more. You're literally a copy of Superman, when I'm just a crawly spider.”
“If you're just a crawly spider, then drop Gwen because you can't protect her forever.”
“But together we can !”
“No. Peter.”
He sighed, rubbing the bridge of his nose.
“But I really broke up with her.”
“And did you stop stalking her ? Are you really trying to move on ? Are you sure you won't go to her once you feel like it's fine ?”
He huffed, growing more annoyed by the second.
“Peter, I know it's hard but if you want her alive, leave her alone. Or drop the suit.”
He looked at you with tears in his eyes.
“I can't…”
You sighed.
“Leave New York to me ! If I'm so strong, I can handle it by myself just fine, like before ! And go with her. It's not that hard. Drop the suit.”
He smiled apologetically.
“I can't…”
“Well, you don't have a choice. Pick one or life will make you pick one real quick.” You said, taking a few steps before putting on your mask and flying away.
The next day you went to your usual spot and Peter wasn't here. You called him and immediately your call was rejected. You sighed and abandoned, thinking he was still mad at your words and that it'll get better tomorrow.
But tomorrow was the same, and the days after too. Only hearing about Spider-Man on the news. If he wanted to be petty, you could be petty too, refusing to pay him or aunt May a visit to know how they were doing.
It went like this for months, and you missed him. You wondered if he missed you too.
Your pride was wounded too.
He couldn't drop a girl he's met a couple years ago but dropped you easily, even after all the years together. As if your friendship didn't mean anything against Gwen. You had nothing against her, she's a sweet girl but you were annoyed by the power she had over him.
Then you heard of something you hoped wouldn't happen, something that proved you and her father right, Gwen's death.
Your heart broke for Peter at the news. You tried to call him, to give him your support, but once again, he didn't answer.
You felt bad.
It was obvious he didn't want to hear from you, especially after what you said. He didn't want to hear “I told you so” from you, as if you'd ever tell him that.
Fuck. You regretted what you said. You should've agreed to keep watch on her, as unhealthy and morbid as it was. Maybe you could've helped avoid her death.
Maybe things would've been different with your help. If Spider-Man couldn't keep her alive, maybe you could've helped change that. Or was it too presumptuous to think so ?
God. Fuck. Was this your fault ?

yay!! the gift has been gifted, so here's the little ficlet i wrote for @thefreakandthehair's wedding gift zine!!! congratulations Lex!!!!!
pairing: steddie | word count: 1,313 | rated: G | on AO3: it started with the oven
It started with the oven.
Well, with him complaining about the oven, to be specific. The house those government folks put them up in after everything happened last year was new to them o’course, but nowhere near brand-spankin’. Still had some issues to work out.
“Sorry boys, roast might be a bit crispy on one side. Damn oven is acting up again.”
Wayne didn’t notice it that first time, but Steve immediately perked up, the look completely throwing off his attempted casualness about what he said next.
“I can help you fix it if you like.”
Without even looking at his nephew, Wayne knows they’re both giving Steve twin looks of confusion.
“You know how to fix an oven? How in the hell do you know how to fix an oven?” Eddie asks, half incredulous, half actually curious.
“I uh…had to figure it out once when ours went out…”
Wayne could hear the rest of that statement clear as day, though Steve stayed quiet after that. “It was either that, or go hungry.” Those goddamn Harringtons…
“Sure thing son, let's let it cool down and we can take a look at it.”
By time dinner is over, Eddie’s disappeared, back to his room to do god knows what while he and Steve pull the oven away from the wall.
The longer they work, the quieter Steve becomes. Knowing what he knows now, it was the nerves about what he wanted to ask, but to the Wayne in the moment, it was just nice to get some help around the house without also hearing loud complaining.
Steve tells Wayne what he’d done before to fix his, and Wayne gives him a couple other tips with other potential problems, and soon, the oven is once again able to heat evenly.
“Looks good, kid,” Wayne says, clapping a hand on Steve’s shoulder once they’ve got the thing pushed back where it goes.
He turns to put away his tool box, leaving the young man to do whatever it is he normally does with his nephew (gross), when Steve’s voice stops him.
“Wayne?”
“Hm?”
Steve falls quiet again, so Wayne turns, taking in Steve’s uncharacteristically anxious demeanor and now pale complexion.
“I–” Steve looks him in the eye, but only briefly. His gaze drops to the dirt on his hands, which he brushes off. “Nothing, just–thanks.” he finishes with a small smile, heading down the hall immediately after.
Wayne shrugs, going back to his toolbox. Odd. But whatever; glad to be of help with…whatever it was he helped with.
—
The next time, it was the front porch.
Luckily not ‘cause of anyone fallin’ through or anything, just about high time he got those front few planks replaced before someone does.
He says as much to his boys at dinner a few weeks after he and Steve fixed the oven, and Eddie volunteers himself for moral support.
“You just wanna see me shirtless and sweaty.” Steve accuses.
“Correct. Moral Support.” Ed sweeps his hand out and leans back in his chair.
“Do I hafta be shirtless too?”
Both boys loudly protest in answer, fake gags and all.
He and Steve get to work tearing out the old rotted boards a couple days later, and as expected, Eddie makes himself scarce within an hour. Something about “You guys workin’ this hard is making me thirsty. I’m gonna go grab milkshakes.”
“Moral Support my ass...” Wayne mumbles, shaking his head fondly.
Again, not long after Eddie’s gone, Steve’s easy conversation peters off; and again, Wayne just assumes he’s not quite used to being around him alone, or that he just prefers comfortable silence over chatter (something Wayne himself can appreciate).
He does come back in, however, after a long lull. “Wayne, I wanted to ask…”
Wayne doesn’t find out what Steve wanted though, as Eddie’s van rattles up the road at that moment, the promise of a cool treat too good to pass up for chattin’ with his boyfriend’s Uncle.
Though, as he watches Steve help Eddie out of the van, grabbing the milkshakes (and a quick kiss) from his boy, Wayne thinks he already knows what it is Steve was gonna ask.
And what his answer would be.
—
The third and final time was definitely the time.
This time, there was no pretense. Wayne and Steve weren’t already working on something together, no current excuse to talk without Eddie nearby. It was a Thursday evening and Wayne was alone at home about to head in for a shift.
Opening the door to a knock was weird though. Steve basically lived here, so opening the door to his wide-eyed, pale face was a shock.
“Steve? What’re knocking for, boy?”
“Sorry, sorry, I’m just–I’m–”
“You ‘right, son? C’mon inside now..” Wayne coaxes the kid inside, and Steve takes his shoes off automatically, lining them up along the messy pile of Eddie’s shoes just inside the door.
“Eddie’s at the Emersons’ y’know.” Wayne says, plopping back into his previously abandoned armchair.
“Y-yeah, I know, I just dropped him and Henderson off there for their game.”
They both fall quiet then.
Steve rubs the back of his neck nervously, and Wayne waits patiently.
…Okay, maybe not that patiently.
“Now look, Steve, not that I don’t appreciate spendin’ time wit’cha, ‘cause I do, but it seems t’me you came here for a reason.”
Steve’s gaze snaps up, mouth agape. “How’d you–nevermind.” he clears his throat and continues.
“Mr. Munson–”
“Nope, none’a that, not even for this. M’name’s Wayne, son.” He enjoys throwing Steve off sometimes, alright? Sue him.
All the breath in Steve’s lungs seems to escape at once and he smiles slightly, visibly relaxing just a tad.
Good.
“Wayne, Eddie and I have been dating for over a year now…obviously…you know that..”
“Is that what you two’ve been doin’? I thought you two were just the best of buds.”
This time, Steve actually laughs. “Shut up, I’m nervous, okay?”
“I know y’are, kiddo.”
He takes another settling breath, much calmer now, and continues. “I love him, Wayne. More than anything in my life.
“I know it’s not for real, I know, but I want him, and you, to know that I mean this to be forever. That if I could, I would marry him tomorrow.” Steve chuckles to himself at that, “Probably would’ve months ago, to be honest.
“All this to say—to ask! Ask…” he shuffles nervously again.
‘You got this, Steve, you’re almost there.’ Wayne thinks encouragingly at him.
As if he could hear him, Steve steels himself, looks Wayne in the eye, and (finally) says:
“Wayne, I would like your blessing to propose to Eddie.” He takes another short breath and presses on. “And I don’t want to hear anything about “Why’re you askin’ me, he’s not my kid.” or some crap, either. You’re the most important person in his life, and always will be. It may not be important to you, but it is to me… That you approve, I mean.”
Okay, he knew it was coming. But the added impassioned (and unnecessary) speech that came with it was a surprise. As if Steve was willing to fight Wayne for thinking Wayne wasn’t important to Eddie.
He stands, hefting himself out of the sunken springs of his chair, and immediately pulls Steve in for a hug.
“Good speech, son.” he says, squeezing the kid tightly for a moment before adding on, “Though I don’t think there was a single question mark in that whole rant o’yours.”
Steve laughs into his shoulder, beaming his wide bright smile when they separate.
“Do I have your blessing or not, old man?” he snarks, pulling a bellowing laugh out of Wayne.
“That’s more like it!” He claps a hand onto Steve’s shoulder. “And of course y’have it, Steve…
“I’d be proud to call you a Munson.”

wait i also had this thought a while ago and forgot to send it in.
maybe it’s the anniversary of ben’s death or maybe even tony’s death and peter is just so fucking upset and there’s a rain cloud following him and he just needs support. so he shows up to trouble’s dorm in tears with his head down and just melts into her arms and sobs to her. and maybe this is the first time he’s really gone to her for anything like this and she’s stunned but feels bad for him and does everything she can to support him
i’m emo rn
—🤠
peter’s a busy guy and you understand that.
but he always updates you. he’ll tell you he’s in class, or that he has a free minute around lunchtime, or say he’s got a meeting but free after seven, maybe tell you something came up and he’ll try to see you that night.
it’s unusual for peter to ghost you.
all day long, no matter the form you tried to reach out on, he’s ignored you.
you weren’t that type of person, but you were genuinely worried. it’s out of character for him. you send a text to ethan, it’s a quick message.
‘peter isn’t responding to me, i just want to make sure he’s okay.’
he doesn’t give you much to go off of, ‘he’s okay.’
you let your worry go from a raging boil to a simmer, at the very least he has ethan. and he’s okay.
it was around six when peter knocked on your door, he was hidden beneath a hoodie, he was slumped and small. if you didn’t know better, you’d say he was just dumped.
‘hey, handsome.’
a sniff, ‘hi.’
‘wanna come in?’ he nods, it’s barley noticeable but you move to the side and welcome him in. when you turn back around his hoodies pulled down, you see why he was hiding.
he’s been crying.
the kind of all day crying, the kind where your cheeks are flushed, your eyes red, a snotty yet stuffy nose. his eyes were puffy.
it made your heart break. you’ve never seen peter so vulnerable.
‘what’s-‘
you can’t finish, peter collapsed into your body, wrapping himself tight around you before sobbing into your chest. it makes you lose your breath, you’ve never seen him cry. and it’s ferocious.
he coughs a sob, and you hold him tighter.
‘you’re okay, petey. you’re okay.’
gasps. you try to comb at his hair to settle him.
‘you gotta breathe, baby. i’m right here, okay?’
his sobs rattle you, you’ve never heard him so miserable, so hurt, so sad.
peter speaks in chopped words, he can’t get enough air to fully speak them.
‘my uncle ben died.’ you know he did. maybe it just got to be too much, his grief insurmountable. 'i'm sorry, petey. i'm here.' he sniffled into your shirt, 'no. he died today.'
it's the anniversary, you hold him tighter.
'i am so sorry. i am so, so sorry.'
'can,' peter heaves for air, 'can we lie down?'
you tug him to your bed, wrapping him in your hold, safe from the outside world. doing your best to try and relieve some of his pain.
'it's,' he shudders, 'nine years.'
you dot kisses to his forehead, sometimes, you don't have words to fix things. sometimes, the best and only thing you could do was be there for someone.
peter releases a shaky breath, 'i'm just very sad today.'
you kiss his temple, 'i know. did you talk to may today?' he nods, 'it's a hard day.'
all you can do is hold him to you as long as he needs.
'i know i can't fix it, but i'm not going anywhere.'
your words make peter curl into you further.

I'm Not Afraid | Chapter 21
Word Count: 4.3K Warnings: depictions of violence, mentions of blood, mentions of death
Story Description: (Y/N) Argent arrived at Beacon Hills to put to rest her father’s sister, Kate Argent. For the first time, her family has decided to settle down and sustain a life in this interesting small town. After 17 years, (Y/N) has the opportunity to establish interpersonal relationships but will she be ready to face the complications that come with relating to her cousin’s, Allison, friends; especially, the infamous Derek Hale. She will face the adventure of being associated with the Derek and McCall pack, as well as being faced with the discovery of certain aspects of her life she never imagined.
A/N: oof, I need some more practice writing fight scenes
<- Previous | Next ->
She couldn’t believe her eyes. After weeks of no contact and near disappearance, Derek stood before (Y/N) as though nothing had happened.
Probably because he wasn’t there to see her, nor had he been expecting to find her in the boys’ locker room after the match.
Derek cleared his throat as he broke his gaze from (Y/N)’s, regaining his stoic composure. “We need to talk,” he stated firmly.
“All of us,” a man said as he appeared behind the alpha.
“Holy shit,” Scott murmured under his breath. “What the hell is this?”
(Y/N) and Isaac exchanged confused glances. They had never seen that man before, but it seemed they were the only ones baffled by the new character. There was something odd and dangerous about him that much they could ascertain. But there was more to him. There always was.
“You know,” Derek sighed. “I thought the same thing when I saw you talking to Gerard at the Sheriff’s station.”
“Okay, hold on. He threatened to kill my mom,” Scott defended himself. “And I had to get close to him. What was I supposed to do?”
“I’m gonna go with Scott on this one,” the mystery man agreed. “Have you seen his mom? She’s gorgeous.”
The devious line was met with a chorused “Shut up,” but it still didn’t explain who he was or what he was doing there with Derek.
“Hate to interrupt the amusing banter,” (Y/N) interjected, “but who is this guy?”
“He’s Peter,” Scott said. “Derek’s uncle. A little while back, he tried to kill us all, and then we set him on fire, and Derek slit his throat.”
The words fell heavy upon the girl. Scott had told her about their run-in with the man, but he’d left a particular detail out. She knew he had terrorized Scott and the group; she knew he had perished in the fight, but she didn’t know Derek had been the one to land the final blow. Yet, Peter was there. Alive and well, and seemingly unbothered by the fact that his nephew had murdered him.
“So, we got necromancers in Beacon Hills now?” (Y/N) blurted. “How is he alive?”
“Look, the short version is he knows how to stop Jackson and maybe how to save him.”
“Well, that’s very helpful,” Isaac muttered, “but Jackson’s dead.”
“What?”
“Yeah,” Scott answered Derek, “Jackson’s dead. It just happened on the field.”
“If I can put in my two cents here, I’m pretty sure something else is going on,” (Y/N) declared. “Gerard wouldn’t let his prize possession just die. It makes no sense.”
“I’m afraid the girl is right,” Peter said. “If Jackson is dead, it’s because Gerard wanted it to happen.”
Before the conversation could continue, (Y/N)’s phone rang, startling everyone in the room. She quickly excused herself, noting her uncle’s name lighting up her screen. It had been weeks since he had reached out to her. The family was at odds. That much was true. And it was almost certain that Allison had poisoned the well against her. But that wasn’t a night to ignore calls or have petty arguments. They all had a common enemy, even if they didn’t want to work together to stop him.
“Uncle Chris?” she asked as soon as the call connected. “Is everything okay?”
“You need to get here now,” he whispered. “It’s your friends.”
“My friends? What are you talking about?”
“I don’t have much time, (Y/N). Erica, Boyd, and Stiles are here,” he said. “I need you to get them out of the basement while I distract dad. Your dad is already on his way here to help you, but we need you, too.”
“How do I know this isn’t a trap?”
“Because I’m risking losing my daughter to Gerard by calling you,” Chris stated. “I need you to trust me, kid. Please. Your friends need you.”
“Alright, I’ll be there,” (Y/N) conceded.
“Hurry, (Y/N).”
“Aye, aye, Captain.” (Y/N) hurried back into the room as she stuffed her phone back into her pocket, turning the heads of the four people in the room. “I’ve, uh, gotta go.”
“Right now?” Isaac worried. “Where?”
“I’ve just gotta go, okay?” she said before her eyes fell on Scott. “Keep me updated. I’ll join you as soon as I can.”
“Yeah, yeah,” the boy nodded. “Keep an eye out for your phone.”
“I will. Be careful, guys. We’re in for it tonight.”
“You be careful, too,” Scott reciprocated.
Her eyes fell on Derek before she inevitably turned to run to her bike. She couldn’t seem to shake the worried look in his eyes as they met, a concern she didn’t know he still had for her. The words he had thrown her way had cut deep, slicing into her chest deeply. He had known exactly what to say to push her away and keep her there, using her fears to cement their end. But something in his eyes that night told her a different story, one that wasn’t finished yet.
But (Y/N) didn’t have time to question things unsaid as she sped through the streets of Beacon Hills. There were more pressing issues than the complicated workings of the heart. Her friends were in danger, and she had to do everything in her power to get them out.
She parked her bike three houses over, making sure to kill her engine before she was in earshot. Her phone buzzed with a message from her uncle, telling her to sneak around the back directly into the basement. The door was already open when she got there, allowing her a swift entry into the home.
Upstairs, she could hear her uncle and her cousin talking, and she could barely recognize Allison. She sounded cold, aggressive, nothing like the cousin she knew and loved. But she couldn’t worry about Allison at the moment. Not when Gerard was about to cross her path.
(Y/N) ducked behind the first door she found, hoping that her grandfather didn’t turn his head at the last second and catch her. Yet the man’s retreating figure wasn’t what startled her. As she closed the pantry door in front of her, her back pressed against a person. Instinctively, she drew her elbow back, colliding with someone’s stomach.
“Dad?” She whispered as the man hunched over in pain. “What’re you doing in here?”
“Hiding from your grandfather,” he grumbled. “Didn’t think I’d be attacked in here.”
“Well, next time, don’t hide in a small, dark room,” she shrugged. “But Gerard’s gone. We can head to the basement now.”
“Great,” he groaned. “He couldn’t have left a minute earlier?”
“Let’s just go, dad.”
The duo sneaked toward the basement door, careful not to announce themselves to the other blood-hungry Argent. But nothing could prepare them for the sight before them. Stiles had been beaten unconscious in front of a tied-up Boyd and Erica. The wolves were sequestered by their arms to the ceiling, their mouths covered with tape to keep them from screaming. It was something out of a horror movie.
“You wake him up while I untie these guys,” Henry said. “We’ve gotta get them out quick.”
(Y/N) dropped to the ground, finding Stiles’ steady pulse before she attempted to shake him awake. Half of his face was scattered with scrapes and slowly forming bruises, accompanied by a busted and swollen lip. There was no reason for him to have been hurt, but she was sure Gerard wanted a good enough distraction to cloud Scott’s mind.
“Stiles,” she said for the fifth time. “You’ve gotta wake up.”
“Slap him,” Erica offered hoarsely. “He’s been down for a while.”
“Or use this water bottle,” her father offered. “Might work the same way.”
“I like that idea better.” (Y/N) took the bottle from Henry’s hand, spilling it all over the boy’s face. Seconds later, the boy spluttered awake, choking slightly on the water that went up his nose. “Hey, welcome back.”
“(Y/N),” he croaked out. “You’ve gotta get out of here. Your grandpa…”
“Don’t worry about him,” she said. “Can you walk?”
“Uh, yeah,” he blubbered. “He mostly got my face.”
“Okay, listen to me. Take my bike to your house. Your dad’s worried sick,” she instructed as she handed him her keys. “Rest up and put some ice on your face. It’s gonna hurt for a while.”
“But I… I wanna help.”
“You can help by staying alive,” (Y/N) replied. “I’ll have Scott fill you in when he can. But right now, you’ve gotta go home. My bike is parked by the third house to the right.”
“Fine,” he sighed. “Thanks, (Y/N).”
“Just be careful out there, okay?”
“Yeah.”
The boy disappeared out of the basement as her father finished cutting Boyd down. He ripped the tape off his mouth, quickly checking on Erica. Something (Y/N) quickly made a note of. She knew they had grown close the past few months, but she hadn’t noticed just how close. His hands remained on the small of Erica’s back as Henry led them quietly out of the house and to the backyard, There was definitely something there worth exploring. Just at a later time.
(Y/N) put a pin on her observation and kept an eye on Allison’s room, knowing sooner or later, she’d have to go to bed. An afternoon of hunting would leave anyone tired.
A minute later, the lights in her room turned off, and the backlights flashed twice. “Okay, guys,” she announced, turning to the wolves. “I’m gonna need you to cut through the woods and head to my house. You need time to recover, and we can come up with a plan for you after everything’s finished. There’s a spare key inside the bird bath in the backyard. Get in and lock yourselves in my room, and do not open the door for anyone but me, okay?”
“Wish we had taken that offer last week,” Boyd chuckled. “Thank you both. I hope one day we can repay this kindness.”
“Just stay alive, kid,” Henry smiled. “Help yourselves to anything in the kitchen. My wife was called out for the night, so you should be able to at least get some food before locking down for the night.”
“Thank you, Mr. Argent.”
“There’s nothing to thank me for,” he smiled. “I’m just sorry that anyone in my family would do anything to you kids. No one deserves this.”
“Guys, you’ve gotta go,” (Y/N) interjected. “Go straight to the house. Don’t stop for anything or anyone.”
The Argents waited until they couldn’t see the teens through the trees before heading to the garage as Chris had instructed. There, he was already waiting in his van, ready for the next instructions.
“Where is Scott right now?” Chris asked as he sped down the street.
“Last he texted, he and Isaac were on their way to the hospital to check on Jackson,” (Y/N) answered, tentative with her words. Her uncle seemed to be on their side, but she could never be too sure. “Apparently, Jackson is not actually dead; he is forming a cocoon around him. Sounds to me like the Kanima is transforming.”
“I’ve gotta ask Chris,” Henry interjected, “you’ve been dad’s right hand all these years. What’s changed?”
“Allison,” he answered, his hands tightening around the steering wheel. “Gerard is twisting her mind just like he did to Kate. I don’t like what he’s doing to her.”
“If only someone had told you that the old man was a bit twisted,” the older Argent huffed. “We would have saved ourselves many headaches.”
“It really isn’t the time for ‘I told you so’s,” Chris sighed. “I know I should have listened to you, but I truly thought we were doing a good thing.”
“You were chasing innocent teenagers around just because they’re werewolves,” (Y/N) argued. “How is that a good thing?”
“I won’t say our view has been misguided for some time,” the man said. “But the hunters lost their way somewhere along the line, and I won’t let that happen to my daughter.”
The only thing they had was trust, and they had to blindly walk into unknown waters if they wanted everything to end with the least amount of bloodshed. Henry and (Y/N) chose to trust Chris because, at that moment, he was the only one willing to help.
Isaac and Scott weren’t as easy to convince when Chris was the one to step out of the SUV first. They had no reason to believe that the man who had spent the last year with his eyes on them had suddenly had a change of heart. But once they had (Y/N)’s vote of confidence, they felt inclined to join him. In the end, he was right. The car was faster, and they only had so little time.
“I don’t like sitting next to Jackson,” (Y/N) muttered as the body bag wriggled next to her. She had changed spots with Scott to allow the boy to instruct Chris where they were going. “He keeps twitching.”
“Well, you’re the only one here we know his venom won’t work on,” Isaac whispered. “But for what is worth, I don’t think he’ll wake up any time soon.”
“That doesn’t make me feel better.” Suddenly, a string of slime touched her arm, and all she could do was gag and wipe it on the car’s seat. “Any way we could go a bit faster?”
“No need,” Scott said. “We’re here.”
The car rolled to a stop somewhere in the warehouse district, but no Derek in sight, leaving everyone dumbfounded. But clearly, what he wanted was a grand entrance. He zoomed toward them at a supernatural speed, propelling himself with his arms and feet before coming to a stop with a front flip. If anyone asked (Y/N), she would have said there was no time for theatrics.
No one asked her.
“Why is he here?” Derek asked (Y/N), pointing at Chris. “Already turned sides?”
“He’s here for Jackson,” she spat at his unnecessary comment. “You should know a bit about people suddenly changing sides.”
“Let’s just get him inside,” he said. “That’s what we’re here for.”
Maybe she had been wrong. Maybe he didn’t care about her at all.
Chris drove the SUV into the garage Derek instructed to, and the rest of the people were walking behind him. Anger and adrenaline bubbled in (Y/N)’s veins, aching for some kind of release. The first person who stood in her way would be getting a punch. It didn’t matter if they were on the same side or not.
“Where are they?” Scott asked once he and Isaac had pulled Jackson onto the floor.
“Who?”
“Peter and Lydia,” the boy replied.
Instead of answering, Derek simply walked toward the body bag, crouching to reveal the transforming boy even as Scott tried to stop him. If there was no Lydia, it could only mean that he was ready to go through his very first plan. And no one but Peter would allow him to do that.
“Think about it, Scott,” the alpha offered. “Gerard controls him now. He’s turned Jackson into his own personal guard dog. And he set all of this in motion so that Jackson could get even bigger and more powerful.”
“No,” Chris denied. “No, he wouldn’t do that.”
“If Jackson’s a dog, he’s turning rabid,” Henry agreed with his brother. “And our father would never let a rabid dog live.”
“Of course not,” Gerard’s voice rang out from beside them, making their heads snap in his direction. “Something that dangerous, that out of control… is better off dead.”
Gerard was lying through his teeth; (Y/N) could see that, and she couldn’t understand how no one else but Scott could.
Thinking it was safe, Derek set off to do what he had come for. He stuck his claws out and went to deliver a killing strike to the unconscious Kanime. But at that very moment, Jackson’s eyes flew open, and he sank his nails into the man’s chest, lifting him in the air as though he weighed nothing more than a doll before sending him flying across the room.
“Well done to the last, Scott,” Gerard smirked. “Like the concerned friend you are, you brought Jackson to Derek to save him. You just didn’t realize that you were also bringing Derek to me.”
Out of nowhere, an arrow came flying through the air faster than any human eye could perceive. But Scott was fast, and he ducked out of the way before it could pierce him. Isaac did not have that same luck. It sent him stumbling backward as it pierced through his chest, leaving him in pain as he failed to remove it.
(Y/N) was quick to wrap her arms around his shoulders, getting her friend out of the way before any more damage could be done to him. At the same time, Chris and Henry did not waste any time emptying their gun clips on Jackson, buying time for the werewolves to recover. Even if all they could get was a few seconds before the Kanima swiped their weapons from their hands.
“This is gonna hurt,” (Y/N) whispered to Isaac as she wrapped her hand around the arrow. “Don’t take it out on me.”
“Wouldn’t dream of it,” he groaned. “Just do it.”
He let out a loud growl as she pulled with all of her strength, snagging his skin in the process and somehow her own leg. But all he needed was a couple of seconds for the pain to subside and the wound to close, allowing his wolf form to shine through. (Y/N), on the other hand, had to endure the sting running through her silently.
There was no time to check if she was okay as Isaac, Scott, and Derek all went against the fully transformed Kanime, each trying their best to deliver a debilitating blow. They slashed and bit, punched and kicked, but he was simply too strong.
As they approached him, Jackson threw each of them around, slinging them farther than the last. Derek was the last one to face him, ending with a set of claws lodged in his abdomen. (Y/N) noticed it had been a weakening hit and was moving to help him until, at her side, she heard the sound of skin being slashed.
As the beta stood to help his leader, Allison appeared in front of him, cutting away at the front of his body before digging her blades into his back. Derek could wait, (Y/N) thought. Even if she knew that Allison’s sights were set on the wounded alpha, the other Argent girl thought she needed a bit of her own medicine.
(Y/N) ran toward her before the dark-haired girl could think twice, landing a crunching jab to her cousin’s face. She fell to the ground for a second as she spat out the blood that pooled in her mouth, but her determination was stronger than the pain. Not caring that she was family, Allison dug one of her knives into her cousin’s leg and the other on her shoulder, rendering her useless to continue the fight. All she could see was Derek. All she wanted was revenge.
She was so close she could taste it. Derek’s life was only a few steps away.
But that wasn’t part of Gerard’s plan.
Suddenly, the Kanima appeared behind her, wrapping one hand around her wrist and the other around her neck.
The look of surprise and fear on her face would have been delicious to witness if pain and concern had not been running through (Y/N)’s body. But, even if she wanted to help her cousin, she couldn’t move more than a few steps at a time.
“Not yet, sweetheart,” Gerard exclaimed as he appeared from the shadows.
“What’re you doing?” Allison worried. It was clear she had not expected her now beloved grandfather to betray her, not when he had been the one to mold her the way she was.
“He’s doing what he came here to do,” Scott answered.
“Then you know.” Gerard’s mouth stretched in an amused smile, knowing his secret couldn’t stay hidden around so many supernaturals. “It was the night outside the hospital, wasn’t it? When I threatened your mother. I knew I saw something in your eyes. You could smell it, couldn’t you?”
“He’s dying,” Isaac said as he helped (Y/N) to her feet.
“I am,” the older man confirmed. “I have been for a while. Unfortunately, science doesn’t have a cure for cancer yet. But the supernatural does.”
It didn’t take much for anyone to connect the dots of what Gerard was trying to do. They were simply surprised about the lengths he would go through to get what he wanted. Using his own granddaughter to twist Scott’s hand into doing his bidding was diabolical, but it was nothing short of what a desperate man would do for a chance at salvation.
“When it comes to survival,” Gerard exclaimed, “I’d kill my own sons!”
With no more instruction than his name, Scott did what he knew he had to do. With Derek wounded, he was able to drag him to his feet to face the older man. Even though he fought his grip, at that moment, the alpha was no match for Scott.
(Y/N) winced as Derek attempted to reason with Scott, knowing if Gerard turned into a wolf, he’d simply kill him afterward. The man wanted power and health the most, and there was nothing more powerful than an alpha.
“He knows the ultimate prize is Allison,” Gerard boasted. “Do this small task for me and they can be together. You are the only piece that doesn’t fit, Derek. At least not in their love story. And in case you haven’t learned yet, you should really stay away from the Argent girls. It never ends well for you, does it?”
His eyes snapped toward (Y/N) at those words, a pained expression painted across his irises. Scott also shot her a glance, his eyes waiting for confirmation as everyone around him told him to stop. And what the girl did surprised the alpha to enormous proportions.
She nodded.
Scott apologized under his breath and sunk his claws deeper into Derek’s neck, forcing his mouth to widen enough for Gerard to slip his arm between his canines. For that split second, he thought he had done it. He had pushed her far enough to betray him. After everything he’d done, maybe he deserved it.
But he heard her voice at such a low volume he thought he had imagined it. “Do it, Derek,” she muttered like a prayer. “Trust me.”
And he did. He trusted her with every fiber of his being.
Derek closed his mouth around the man’s arm, wincing as the metallic and bittersweet taste of his ill blood coated his tongue. He fell to the ground as Scott let him go, his eyes trained on (Y/N).
She gave him the faintest of smiles and nodded her head toward her grandfather. The show had only just begun. The red bite mark on Gerard’s arm soon enough started oozing a black liquid, surprising everyone in the room but two people.
“What?” Gerard questioned as he noticed his arm. “What is this? What did you do?”
“Everyone said Gerard always had a plan,” Scott said. “I had a plan, too. I just needed a little bit of help.”
(Y/N) limped forward with Isaac’s help, her father joining her other side, smiling at her grandfather as he questioned how Scott had been able to draw a fast one over him. She could feel blood running down her arm, leaving a trail wherever she walked. But blood and pain were the least of her worries. Wounds she could heal later, but that moment, oh, that moment needed to be savored. “You should have really asked around about me, grandpa,” the girl smirked. “Just one look into my student files, and you would have seen that I got in trouble when I was younger for being a pickpocket.”
“No, you got caught,” he croaked. “You aren’t good at it if you get caught.”
“I got caught once,” she said. “After that, I got a hell of a lot better. And I just want to say thank you so much for those mandatory family dinners. They were kind of a nuisance in the beginning but really came in handy there at the end.”
“Did you tell her, Scott?” Gerard spat at the boy. “Did you tell her I was sick?”
“I didn’t have to,” he said. “She was the one who came to me.”
“I could smell it on you from the moment I first saw you at the cemetery,” (Y/N) explained. “I thought the smell of death was coming from the place, but it was you. Then, I saw your little tin cup. What you were popping into your mouth was too big to be mints, and they looked too clinical to be vitamins. “I was at the sheriff station when you were talking to Scott, and I couldn’t believe that he would ever work with you,” she continued. “There had to be more, so I asked him. That’s when he told me his plan.”
“I already had the pills,” Scott added. “All I needed was a way to get them to you.”
With a mask of disbelief on his face, Gerard pulled his medicine from his pocket, crushing the blue and white pills in his hands. “Mountain ash!” he yelped before the rejection made him crumble to his knees. Black oozed out of every orifice, painting him in dark liquid before he crumbled to the ground, weaker than he had been at the start of the night.
“Why didn’t you tell me?” Derek asked Scott, too ashamed to look (Y/N) in the eyes.
“Because you might be an alpha,” he said, “but you’re not mine. Definitely not (Y/N)’s.”
But all conversation was stopped when Gerard slithered on the ground. The kids may have bested his attempt at becoming a werewolf, but he would not go down without a fight. With a pained yell, he gave the Kanima his last order, “KILL THEM ALL!”

SKYLINE TO HIS HEART ⭑ MILES MORALES
⭑ maybe love isn’t the only thing that can keep someone tied to you .
part 1 — part 2
⭑ miles morales x f!reader , cheating in part 2 , miles doing spider duty , love in the first chapter , i don’t know what to make of this
after finally having the guts to confess his feeling to you, miles felt like he was on cloud 9. your smile sent him to heaven every time. his sketchbook was filled with you. and my parents caught on quickly.
mrs. morales shot a picture at every given moment, despite miles’ groaning and whining every time.
he didn’t want to be anywhere you weren’t.
“miles,” you whined “let go. my dad is gonna kill me if i’m not home soon.”
“he’ll have to kill me too then.” he mumbles in your neck, his hushed breath tickling you. you giggle, “he wouldn’t hesitate. “just ask him to stay over. it’s a weekend.”
“he doesn’t trust you enough.” you lose the motivation to escape his grip, making him smile. “jerkface.” you murmured.
soon, your heavy lids closed, lulling you to sleep.
during the night, your phone blew up. messages, missed calls and voicemails from your father. “shit!” you fall out of miles’ grip, face planting on the floor, making you groan.
before you could make it out of his room, his voice stops you.
“baby? ¿a dónde vas? son como las 2 de la mañana.”
“too late for me to be here.” he groans at the realization.
“just tell him it’s my fault.” “that won’t end well for both of us.” you softly laugh, making him smile. “i’ll see you at school, mijo.” you peck his lips, but he wanted more. he didn’t want you to leave, not yet. he stood up as you backed away, deepening the kiss.
your lips were still attached to his as your hand held the doorknob. “miles.” you giggle, pulling away. “come on. i thought it would work.” he pouts. “maybe another day. not just this one.” you peck his cheek this time, leaving his house.
you didn’t hear the last of it from your father. he scolded you as soon as you opened the front door.
finally making it to your room, you changed your clothes into your night ones. before you fell asleep again, you texted miles goodnight.
mrs. morales 💓 : gn miles😘
mr. morales : gn😢i wish u were here rn
mrs. morales : me too bubba
you clicked your phone, quickly falling asleep.
3 months later
miles came running through your house, frantically looking for you. once he hit your room, he shut the door and locked it before exhaling a deep breath. “miles? honey, what’s wrong?” you raise a brow at him. “my whole day has been weird. i’m able to walk on walls, ceilings. i’m extra strong. like spiderman.” you huff, “it’s a little to early to be making jokes about him.” you remind him about his death. “i was there when it happened.”
you press your lips into a thin line, forcing yourself to believe him. “okay, i believe you.” “then this…guy…that looked like peter but fatter walked up to me and i shocked him. we had to swing around new york to escape the cops.”
you laugh. “that’s one hell-of-va dream you had.” you twist your chair back to your desk. “you gotta believe me. no one else did.” “what are you talking about?” you thought he was going crazy because of his uncle’s recent death.
“the other spidermen or women webbed me to a chair to go fight king pin. all because i couldn’t disappear on command.” he huffs. “do it.” “huh?” “do it right now.” his face grows upset. “don’t do it too.” you walk to him, taking his hands into yours. “calm your body, think of something that calms you and center yourself.” he closes his eyes, taking a deep breath.
before you knew it, miles’ body was disappearing in front of you. but you could still feel him. “holy shit. you did it!” miles’ reappears in front of you. “i did?” “well now you didn’t.” you giggle.
1 year later
for a year now, your boyfriend has been the one and only spiderman. and you (and ganke) have been his wingman and the only person that knows his secret identity.
and today was his father’s promotion party, hosted on his rooftop.
but you haven’t seen him since he’s dropped off the cake for his dad.
“mrs. morales, have you seen miles?” “i grounded him for his attitude. he’s been so rude and clos-” in the middle of her rant, your eyes drifted over to miles…and another girl?!
why was he so close to her? why was he nervous? why haven’t you seen him before? and why…did he just kiss her?
a tear rolls down your cheek, which didn’t go unnoticed by rio. “¿bebé? ¿por qué lloras?” her eyes move to your line of sight, immediately gasping. “honey, i am so-” before she could finish her apology, you left the rooftop, heartbroken.
the urge to burn everything of his was eating you to death. the letters of lies he wrote you. the drawings he gave you. the hoodies. everything.
a knock disrupts your haze. it was miles. “hey, my mom told me to check on you. you left the party early.” your mouth opened to spew the hateful words accumulating your mind but nothing came out except, “we’re over.” “what…?” he leaned back, baffled. “i saw you. with that girl. you kissed her. you were obviously in love with her so be with her.” he blinks in realization. “i didn’t-” “go!” you slammed the door in his face, sliding down it.
hot tears streamed down your face as you hyperventilated.
how could be do this to you? after everything you’ve been through? the things you’ve done for him. you were there when his uncle died.
how could he?
