Another variation, another Simon to grow attached to. The (N)ice king.

As promised to Marceline, Simon got them a castle, and able to overcome the madness of the crown (totally not a deer tampering with it) he turned his kingdom into a safe haven for those who want to seek sanctuary. Human or mutant.

You can imagine the amount of folks he had adopted and raised over the centuries.
