Max has had a truly insane last 6 races, this doesn’t even cover everything (and I’m going off the top of my head here and not fact checking) but - 

Singapore:  Max is dragged into the stewards room for swearing in a press conference and the stewards lose their minds and hit him with community service. Fuelled by talent and spite he somehow manages to drag the car to P2 in a race where Red Bull were expected to be nowhere. He uses the opportunity to refuse to elaborate on answers in the press conference and ends up holding his own press conference outside the room like the absolute main character that he is. 

Austin: We get treated to an insane defensive masterclass from Max and a reminder of why he really is so difficult to beat.

Mexico:  The stewards try to drown him in penalties but he still manages to finish sixth and prevents his nearest championship challenger from winning. His driving causes the British media to almost implode with rage and Damon Hill manages to stop crying just long enough to compare him to Dick Dastardly.

Brazil: The race directors take it upon themselves to try and make the championship battle more interesting by risking drivers safety and waiting an eternity to bring out the safety car in the sprint and the red flag in qualifying. Luckily the British press are still crying so much over Mexico that they flood the track with their tears and Max storms to victory in a wet race. We get a nice little sassy ‘simply lovely’ to top it all off (Max never forgets). We also later get a nice bit of news that notorious Max Verstappen hater Damon Hill will be leaving sky sports (whether this had anything to do with the Dick Dastardly comparison we will never know!)

Las Vegas: There are rumours that Red Bull brought the wrong wing but it turns out that they just never had an appropriate wing to begin with (whether that is better or worse you can decide!). On the weekend where he can win the championship Max has to sit in the garage and watch his team start cutting into the rear wing of his car. Luckily it’s just the RB20 and he didn’t have to watch them try and massacre Rocky in front of his very eyes. He somehow manages to get the arts and crafts project across the line in fifth and wins a very deserving fourth championship. He does his media rounds with a drink in his hand and calls out Zak Brown live on sky for previously saying he couldn’t win without the fastest car (Like I said, Max never forgets)

Qatar: Max spends the sprint trying and failing to catch a Haas but then does ‘something’ in his drivers room and takes a very unexpected pole in qualifying. You would think the stewards are done with harassing him now that the championship is over but alas he finds himself in the room with them once more. George Russell (allegedly) throws a strop and (presumably) brings out his passport to ensure that Max is given a penalty for something nobody has ever been given a penalty for before. Once again Max turns his anger at the situation into something very productive and takes the place back almost immediately in the race and secures another victory. He then calls out George very publicly for being two faced (once again I need to remind you, Max never forgets!). 

So basically six races of being hit with penalties, driving an arts and crafts project held together with hope and dreams, being compared to one of the wacky racers and getting his revenge multiple times over. All whilst taking multiple victories and a championship. Not bad really.

OH WOW, THAT EPISODE MIGHT BE MY NEW FAVORITE NOW!! STRAP IN GUYS, THIS MIGHT BE A BIT LONG AND ALL OVER THE PLACE

Before I mention any of the ship stuff, I just wanna say that this was INCREDIBLY SATISFYING for being the Gangle episode. She was completely unhinged the entire time with the new mask on and I was loving it. I liked the deranged expressions the new mask was able to make.

Gangle nearly abstracting and her little cracks whenever she was insulted did actually scare me a little bit, but I'm glad that Pomni managed to stop it before anything actually happened. Her being hit by a truck when she ran into the road was quite unexpected, though.

The casual lore drops are insane, Gangle with her previous job being shift manager and Ragatha being a horse girl :3

Gangle assigning Jax lots of work and suggesting the employee score to Caine was amazing and completely deserved (I still love him).

I love how Jax went from his normal cocky self to a depressed minimum wage worker in the span of a few minutes

The part where Jax was taken to the dark room with the VHS video of Gangle really reminded me of the scene with the Carehound in DHMIS episode 1. Like- I can't be the only one who didn't notice that, right??

Speaking of references, the No Girl's Toy reference literally almost made me squeal when I heard it.

This episode did A LOT for abstragedy, and as a shipper of it I really enjoyed their scenes together.

First of all, Gangle getting the mask from Zooble originally was great, I adore their dynamic and how caring Zooble is.

The scene at the end where they comforted Gangle and told her that they wanted to see her drawings was so cute!

I'm just really happy that Abstragedy ended up actually having some basis other than that one Christmas image that Glitch posted last year :3

Onto Ragapom/Buttonblossom/Jesterdoll/Harlequilt/Digital Yuri- okay you get the point.

Not Ragatha being jealous of Gummigoo and saying that she wished someone would flirt with her. We get it, you're gay /j

We also finally got the Pomni and Gummigoo angst, which didn't actually affect me as much as I thought it would because of Pomni crawling on the floor and Ragatha talking about her flirting with him.

Little side note, on the wacky watch website one of the items being an abstracted member of the circus was crazy.

Anyways, art should be on the way for this episode next week because of how much work I have to do over the weekend!

Mixing up the Metaphors

Happy New Year Everyone! A little "getting back together" bucktommy fic to end 2024. Read the rest on AO3

He could feel eyes on him every time he opened up another Tupperware. Chim’s jokes about his new hobby had dried up, but the concerned looks had only gotten worse. Every time he checked his phone, the whole house held its breath. Buck can admit he started baking as an escape, but he gets the feeling everyone was expecting him to move on to something else after a couple of weeks. Jokes on them though, because Buck has finally found a hobby that quiets his stupid brain more effectively than any Wikipedia spiral and he is never going to stop. 

He will deal with flour caked into the crevices of his callouses. He will deal with having to hit up three different grocery stores to find the specific turbinado sugar he needs for this weekend's cobbler experiment. He will deal with being stared at like he’s one fallen soufflé away from breaking into hysterics. 

He will deal, because when he’s fully absorbed into the mechanics, there’s little room in his head for anything else. His brain can stop obsessing over the fact that, rationally, he knows Eddie is making a massive sacrifice for Chris’ happiness; but selfishly, all he can think is that his best friend is joining the long list of people who inevitably leave him.

If his counter is covered in flour he doesn’t have to think about how the last time Maddie had a baby she told Buck she was leaving, walked into the ocean to die, and only the thought of Chimney and Jee brought her back out. 

When there’s cocoa under his nails and icing sugar dusted over his knuckles, he can finally stop reviewing every interaction with Tommy through a wacky fun-house mirror that makes him question each thought and feeling he had over those unbelievable six months. 

There’s peace and quiet in the methodical measurements and precise timing that Buck has been searching for his whole life. Learning to cook was only the first step. Sometimes, he thinks about his coma-dream self and wonders if teaching filled the same niche. Did that other Evan find a similar sort of satisfaction in educating young minds that real-life Buck has found in leveled off teaspoons, oven temperatures, and shifts with a silicone spatula?

So this week is going to go down as maybe the most sapphic week in animation history. It’s going to have a great case, there are so many sapphic shows or shows with prominent sapphic couples airing this week.

Don’t know what I’m talking about? Here’s a quick rundown:

Yuri Is My Job!

Premiering on Crunchyroll on April 6th.

Yuri is My Job! is based on a yuri manga of the same name. It follows high schooler Hime, who cares deeply about her image as sweet and helpful, even though she’s actually selfish. She accidentally injures the manager of a cafe, and agrees to work there to make up for it. But this is no ordinary cafe, it’s like a cafe dinner theater where all the waitresses play characters from a fictional high school and act out skits for the patrons. Hime’s character is supposed to be in love with one of the other waitresses’ character, but she starts actually falling for the girl. Only problem is, behind the scenes the other waitress seems to hate her.

Yeah, that sounds kind of bonkers! I can already see the story now, Hime starting out playing a role, and eventually having to legitimately earn the love of Mitsuki.

Birdie Wing: Golf Girls’ Story

Season 2 premiering on Crunchyroll on Friday, April 7th

Ah Birdie Wing. If you saw season one, you know just how delightful wacky this show is. It follows the stories of Eve, a golfer that plays in illegal underground golf matches for the mob, and Aoi, a golf prodigy and the new sensation of the golf world. Their lives crash into each other and the chemistry is overwhelming and immediate.

Technically Eve and Aoi aren’t canon as of the end of s1, but it’s hard to imagine that the show isn’t heading in that direction. It makes no effort to hide the fact that these two are into each other.

I’m so excited to see what season 2 has in store for these two. Birdie Wing is just a delightfully weird little show.

Princess Principal: Crown Handler Chapter 3

Premieres in theaters in Japan on Friday, April 7th

Alright, so this won’t be useful to a lot of people reading this, as this is only premiering in Japan this weekend. But I wanted to mention it because (a) it’ll come over to the US sometime this year, and (b) Princess Principal is awesome and I want to promote it when I can.

Princess Principal was a 12 episode series that aired in 2017, and Crown Handler is a six-part sequel OVA series.

In a nutshell, Princess Principal is a steampunk spy thriller set in an alternate universe European kingdom that has been divided by a wall, Berlin-style. It follows a team of spies, masquerading as high school girls, as they try to prevent the two sides from going to war.

I know, “why is this on a list of gay shit?” Well, because it is. Two of the main characters, Ange and Princess Charlotte, are big-time into each other and while the original series does the anime thing of “we’re only allowed to go so far with this”, the OG series has a lot of intimate scenes between the two and does end *SPOILERS* with the two of them sitting on the beach together while holding hands.

And perhaps Crown Handler, being made years later, can finally take their relationship farther.

RWBY Volume 9

Volume 9 episode 8 airing on Crunchyroll on Saturday, April 8th

RWBY has been ongoing, and the current volume has been airing since February, but there’ll be another episode this Saturday. Right now RWBY is in the middle of dealing with a lot of trauma, BUT, the bees are canon and dating so every episode of RWBY is now officially gay. So says me.

The Owl House: Watching and Dreaming

 Series finale airing on the Disney Channel on Saturday, April 8th

I’M NOT READY TO LOSE THIS SHOW! 😭

*ahem* The third and final season 3 special airs on Saturday, and promises to be mega emotional and super gay.

I’m grateful that this show had a chance to finish its story, something a lot of sapphic media doesn’t get to do. But I am still pissed about it getting cancelled in the first place simply because it didn’t fit their “brand” (read: this show is too gay for Disney).

But I just know that Dana and her team put together a sensational finale.

Mobile Suit Gundam: the Witch From Mercury

Season 2 premiering on Crunchyroll on Sunday, April 9th.

Affectionately called G-Witch, season 1 of this show was a revelation in the fall. It follows the story of Suletta Mercury, precious cinnamon roll and the most talented mobile suit pilot around, and Miorine Rembran, daughter of the president of the Benerit Group, a mega-corporation that has massive political power.

The show revolves around a school that’s mostly full of the children of powerful people. And then there’s Suletta, a nobody that just wants to be a normal girl and have a normal school life but through a series of events ends up in a mobile suit duel that she easily wins, earning her the title of Holder, which makes her Miroine’s groom.

At first, the two treat the arrangement as a business arrangement, both seeing practical value in this arranged engagement. But it’s obvious that Miorine is actually pretty into Suletta from the start, and we see Suletta slowly falling for Miorine too.

G-Witch is incredible. Part awesome mecha fights, part political intrigue, part romance between two useless girls who’d rather die that admit their actual feelings.

I am SO EXCITED for season 2!

LGBTQ media hasn’t had it great as of late, with a ton of frustrating cancellations and it almost feeling like Hollywood is going backwards in terms of its commitment to giving us space to tell our stories.

But animation, both in the US and in Japan, seems to be making great strides, being our light in the dark.

All five of these shows are airing episodes this week, and Crown Handler will be in theaters this week and on streaming/blu-ray later this year. RWBY has been airing for weeks and its been the gayest volume yet. the Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess and the Genius Young Lady just finished airing and was wonderfully sapphic. I’m In Love With the Villainess is scheduled to air sometimes this year. And just maybe we might get Arcane season 2 before the end of the year.

I’m excited for how sapphic and yuri animation is progressing, I hope it keeps going forward.

-Hobie wakes up SUPER early to make Gwen pancakes almost every day (they’re her favorite), and he puts a buncha bananas and chocolate chips in them 😋

-MOVIE NIGHTS!!! Every weekend! I can picture Gwen and Hobie staying up till like 1am watching something on Hobie’s TV, Hobie makes popcorn and Gwen usually gets to choose the movie, but when Hobie picks a movie it’s either the goofiest shit you’ve ever seen or some crazy horror shit he picks just to scare Gwen (she secretly loves it though)

-Hobie’s a morning person, but Gwen DEFINITELY isn’t. Hobie would hover over Gwen at like 6am while she’s sleeping and blast an airhorn in her ear while yelling “RISE N SHINE!”

-I feel like Hobie would randomly ruffle Gwen’s hair, not because it’s soft or anything, but because he just wants to mess it up cause he thinks it’s funny 😹

-Ohhh Hobie would TOTALLY let Gwen paint his nails. Probably for a dare or something but I think he’d actually like how it turns out. He’d choose all the craziest color combos and Gwen would be all like “HOLD STILL” as she mischievously giggles and Hobie regrets all of life choices. This whole entire thing could also work the other way around actually (New headcanon: Hobie knows how to paint nails)

-They definitely play Roblox together at like 2am, mostly horror games. I can see both of them screaming at the top of their lungs when they get jumpscared but Hobie would scream at everything even if it’s not a jumpscare and Gwen would just laugh hysterically (Just like my last headcanon, this could also work the other way around)

-Hobie offered to teach Gwen how to play guitar one time and she said yes, so now she takes guitar lessons with him almost every day, and in return Gwen teaches Hobie how to play the drums 😸

-Hobie occasionally plays in the Mary Janes and almost all of them are DOWN BAD for him. Like when Gwen first introduced them to Hobie they all fell in love the second they saw him. Oh and when Hobie can’t play, he comes to their shows and has the proudest smile on his face when he watches Gwen play the drums. <3

-When they’re on missions together, each of them has one AirPod in so they can listen to some music. They have pretty similar music tastes but Hobie mostly listens to punk rock and metal, and Gwen also listens to punk and classic rock. They show each other their favorite bands while they’re swingin’ around.

-Since Hobie’s dimension is set in like the 70’s, he takes Gwen to all sorts of places that don’t exist in Earth-65 anymore. He also takes her to a ton of concerts, cool restaurants, aaand clubs, pubs, and bars. How did they get in you may ask? Hobie has a couple of fake ID’s 😼 (they’ve definitely been kicked out of at least 5 places)

-Gwen steals all of Hobie’s stuff, mostly clothes but it can be anything. Oh, he has a cool pair of shoes? She’s taking them (canon). He has a nice jacket? Snatched. A poster of a band she really likes? BOOM! It’s hers now. She’ll usually leave sticky notes next to the thing she stole so Hobie knows who took it, but he’ll figure out who stole it anyways.

-Gwen stays up late and gushes on about Miles for HOURS to Hobie without even realizing how long she’s yapping for, and Hobie just listens with a smirk on his face.

-They got matching piercings!!! Hobie’s amazing at piercing stuff and has a shit ton of jewelry, so sometimes he lets Gwen borrow some or if it’s REALLY special he’ll give some to her as a gift. And Hobie lets Gwen do wacky shit to his hair, like giving him braids or dying the ends pink so he can match hers. Speaking of which, Hobie helped Gwen dye her hair pink when she first decided she wanted to :3

-They both have a soft spot for animals, specifically cats. If there’s a cat on the street, both of them are stopping whatever the hell they’re doing to go pet that cat. Hobie takes Gwen to cat cafes all the time, or just cat infested areas. Gwen ALWAYS asks if they can keep them, so sometimes Hobie takes a couple stray cats and dogs back to his place so they can get food and shelter. (He’s so sweet guys)

-(WARNING!! very angsty) Sometimes Hobie walks in on Gwen while she’s crying, he immediately gets concerned and always rushes to her to ask what’s going on while he speaks in the gentlest way possible to try and calm her down. Hobie is one of the only people Gwen feels comfortable opening up to, so she tells him things she normally keeps bottled up. Gwen starts rambling on and on about how she really feels while more tears form in her eyes and her voice becomes shaky as she starts to breakdown completely. Hobie then pulls Gwen into a hug, and she clings onto him tightly as she cries into his shoulder, Hobie rubs her back in a soothing way to try and comfort her in any way he can.

-PILLOW FIGHTS!!!!! 90% of the time, Hobie’s the one who starts them. While Gwen is just chilling on the couch or about to go to bed, he’ll just *WHACK* and Gwen fights back and it ends up lasting for like 30 minutes. Oh and I can also imagine them having water gun fights at Hobie’s place.

-Amusement parks. They LOVE amusement parks and arcades, especially Gwen. She’s obsessed with rollercoasters and always asks to go twice, and Hobie is a god at all the arcade games, and he always wins stuff for Gwen. Bonus: One time Hobie won Gwen a baby deer plushie and she named it Miles.

Busy weekend

Took the boys out this morning, and thought I need to start carrying my cell incase I want to snap a photo of something... generally I leave my phone on the table when I take them out.... there are so many wacky theories about the contrails... for me they are always just kind of cool. This morning the atmosphere must have been perfect because there were so many. Hopefully, with me keeping my phone in my pocket I will be able to post a little bit more. Sad news, a photo acquaintance passed the other day... I kind of think he is the reason I use tumblr. So Rest Easy David Hilton... I will miss your posts.

If there’s one thing I’ve made myself known for in the Smiling Friends fandom, it’s that I love Zoey and I’m desperate for her to get some more development. Obviously she’s not a main character but she deserves more than one line!!! I have no idea what Season 3 will give her (if anything) but in the meantime I’ve been trying to give her some more character. It started with bits and pieces of headcanon but now I’ve decided to go ahead and write a full backstory on her!

In a rural farming community north of Pennsylvania live the Leroux family. They have been in that exact region for many generations, so the roots run deep. Everyone in the area knows them and their parents and grandparents and so on. Nobody is forced to stay, but still it’s a shock when any Leroux decides to move away because they are known for loving their home so much.

Well, one Zoey Leroux gave them that shock.

While her family and community are deeply in love with their home, she found it horribly boring. There were few options for recreation aside from hiking the same mountains every weekend. There were also few work opportunities that didn’t involve farming in some way. The nearest city was hours away. While as an adult she holds plenty of nostalgia for the place she grew up, she knew she wanted a more exciting life than this. To which her family would protest, “What can be more exciting than this?” But they just didn’t get it. She had to forge her own path, which brought her to the wacky Pennsylvania city we all know well. 

She still visits home for holidays and is decently close with her family despite needing the physical distance and change of pace. 

Here the family is pictured during Zoey’s college years, when she was deep in her goth phase and horribly bored whenever she had to come home during breaks (though she would appreciate those times later). The rest of her family are as follows:

Gregoire Leroux, nicknamed French Greg since childhood, is a leaf counter. Not a general environmentalist or anything, just a leaf counter. He’s part of an agency that counts all the leaves on every plant in town, connected with other agencies that do the same thing in neighboring towns. Apparently counting the leaves is a big deal in recording the seasonal patterns and overall health of the local flora, but in practice it looks just a couple steps up from watching paint dry. French Greg loves the quiet solitude of his job and takes great joy in studying the details of every leaf, even if his eldest daughter doesn’t get it.

Laverne Leroux is a quiet and withdrawn woman who works for the local farm. She doesn’t do any actual farm work but is instead there for two purposes: getting the animals (especially the goats) unstuck from the tight spots they get into, and offering music therapy to the livestock. She rarely sees the farmers at all and she likes it that way. She’s practically agoraphobic and much prefers the company of animals over humans, although her beloved family is an exception. Each night she lies awake with worry over what her daughter is up to in the city, hoping she’s safe in that dangerous and unfamiliar terrain.

Sophie Leroux is THIS close to finding Bigfoot! That’s what she tells everyone and has for years. Unlike her parents who lead more quiet and easygoing lifestyles, Sophie’s mind runs a mile a minute with all sorts of cryptid theories and plans for catching them. She’s always building some new contraption or talking someone’s ear off about how that slight motion on her security camera footage is totally the monster she was looking for. However, she aligns with her parents in that she’s deeply bound to the untouched natural environment. Every so often she’ll take a research excursion to a forest in some other state, but she feels she can find everything she’s looking for in her own backyard.

Zoey felt like a misfit in her hometown growing up, but the rest of the Lerouxes feel like fish out of water when they dare to visit her new home in the city. French Greg doesn’t understand that he can’t go into the Enchanted Forest to count leaves without being dragged on some crazy quest. Laverne has a nervous breakdown trying to call an Uber. Sophie is frustrated at the lack of green space to go monster-hunting, and gets so stir-crazy that she starts spinning wild theories about Charlie Dompler being the Squonk in disguise.

At least they tried to engage in Zoey’s new life. But this is why she prefers to visit them instead.

Caught a couple of new Korean dramas during the weekend; one I'd been anticipating ("When the Stars Gossip"), another that wasn't even on my radar ("Love Scout").

"Stars" is Lee Min Ho's big K-Drama comeback after "The King Eternal Monarch" so there's a lot of buzz. It's a romcom with him as a space tourist with a hidden agenda while Gong Hyo Jin is an astronaut who eyes the new guy with a lot of suspicion. Looks like LMH heard the complaints about him only playing "prince on a white horse" roles LOL, Gong Ryong is a poor OB/GYN still saddled with medical school debt. BUT he does have a chaebol fiancee. I watched the first episode and he and GHY have a nice lowkey chem, their back-and-forth pretty solid. The tone of the series needs a bit of work. It wants to be serious but also wacky (that pool scene in episode 1 made my brain twitch). But things do settle down a bit later in the episode. Right now, the most I could say is it's great to see LMH again. (Saturday and Sunday, Netflix)

Then there's "Love Scout," an office drama featuring a single dad who works as a secretary for a workaholic CEO with abandonment issues. Look, I was hooked the moment I saw Lee Jun Hyuk in his sharp suit. Then there's the always fantastic Han Ji Min. They made me care for former HR manager Yun Eun Ho and prickly boss Kang Ji Yun right off the bat. Eun Ho was fired from his HR job by his asshole boss who hates his guts for having the audacity to take parental leave when his young daughter was showing signs of depression. Ji Yun doesn't like leaning on anybody, except maybe her accountant bestie — and that can likely be traced to her dad not keeping his promise and disappearing on her, plus some shenanigans at her old workplace. She is super overworked and needs an assistant, STAT! Enter Eun Ho, the friend of bestie's hubby. He was hesitant to accept the job because he already had a couple of run-ins with Ji Yun, which didn't leave good impressions on both sides. But the offer comes with a 50% increase in salary plus flexible hours for child care! Even Eun Ho's adorable kiddo Byeol is giving the thumbs up! I dont think there'll be a lot of surprises. We know where this drama is gonna end up. But I'm still excited to see how these two people get there and how they will heal each other. (Friday and Saturday, Viki)

Edited Jan. 7 to add: Apparently my brain was more fried than I thought because I just realized I had only watched one episode of "When the Stars Gossip." I got very confused when I saw references to fruit flies. I'm sure I'll have more to say after watching that episode LOL!

I really liked this one. Bruce getting spirited away to Krypton, and falling in love trying to do the impossible, even as he tells himself not to? So good!

I've reread this a few times. Not outright Superbat, but has implied Superbat. I love all the little added things about Kryptonian Biology that we don't see because Clark is either to old, or not around other Kryponians. And little wacky baby Conner! Love it.

becoming more mixed on y0 every day. bc kiryu's campaign was fine and majima's was more or less unnecessary and it eats me. god.

kiryu didn't really need an explanation on why he's like that and thus his story gets to explore The Details. his relationship with nishiki and kazama's terrifying influence on him and his Readiness To Kill. his capability of ending a life, how the urge comes to him with terrifying ease. kiryu's story is ultimately more about kiryu and gets to pose interesting questions about him, reflect him through his interactions with other people

majima's story is so focused on Explaining Majima that it chokes him the fuck out.

y0's goal was to show us majima's breaking point. but that's also not information that we truly need about majima, not necessarily. and in combination with having to allocate time for exploring kiryu's side of events we get this, absurd speedrun of majima's wacky weekend that snapped him six ways from sunday. it tries to show how people around majima influenced him, but to do so in a meaningful way would be taking the spotlight away from majima, so everyone gets dreadfully little screentime to the point where it feels, to me anyway, improbable that majima would've based his entire persona around them. he met nishitani twice, and yet majima performs in a manner almost exactly like him. not all is bad and i think the exploration of just how deep shimano is in majima's head is great and i wanted more of it, but it gets. brushed aside. for the angst potential that comes from majima and makoto. that then paints makoto as majima's breaking point instead of shimano. and i don't hate majima and makoto they have a very interesting dynamic, but it is. not a satisfying reason to snap, to become something new, not to me anyway. but there is no other meaningful relationship that majima could've been altered by, not like kiryu who has nishiki and kazama and even tachibana to some degree. and it is a goddamn fucking shame

i haven't played the games far enough to witness saejima and how important he is to majima. but i would make a wild guess and say that a prologue game (which is already a deeply flawed concept) that focuses on them and what they went through would've done a much better job at actually showing us why majima is Like That. if you really must show that to us. idk just a hunch

or maybe real estate and cabaret management just really really burned me out on this game for a good while
