We're not calling it Season 1, it's either series 14 or season 40. Resetting the count now is like how comics started releasing new number 1 all the time.

We're loving Ncuti Gatwa as the doctor and the direction they're taking things but like, no this is not season 1, season 1 aired in the 60s.

So I did a full analysis/reaction to the trailer because it dropped as my plane was about leave and I was going out of my mind and I needed something to do. Thank you @polinsated for sending the video of the trailer for me to obsess and hyperventilate over while stuck on a tiny chair in a very public place.

She seems way to happy with herself for someone’s whose carefully constructed life is hanging by a thread. Pen what are you up to?

Everyone is so happy and Eloise is just holding on for dear life and some sense of normality. She’s carrying such a heavy secret from her favourite sibling and she’s loosing Pen in a whole new way. The very fragile ground she’s been walking on is collapsing right under her feet. But also please El be kind to Pen and understand that this girl has been wanting this boy her entire life, finally has him and now is being put against the clock to drop this huge bomb that will destroy everything. It’s terrifying and understandable, give her time.

Give me more of mama Bridgerton with baby Pen. This girl is about to receive so much motherly love she’s been lacking her whole life. Violet has probably been waiting for this moment since Colin was like 5. She’s so happy to welcome the 5th daughter she never had into her home and her family.

Tbh their reaction at the engagement was my reaction at the trailer drop, jaw on the floor, choking on my tea. Also Finch is just the happiest brother in law??? Like let this man and Rae be the best man and bridesmaid at the wedding at this point. You know it would make his entire year.

Oh, wait, Wildbrain? Hm. It does look noticeably worse, but the effects are still good, and if they really push it they could probably still get really good things out of these models. p sure Wildbrain were the ones that worked on MLP:FiM, right? at least for some of it; and even the early seasons weren't bad, so this could be a lot worse.

I do still prefer Flying Bark's animation, and it does seem like mostly frame-by-frame animation is a dying breed, sadly, so it doesn't seem as though they could just get another studio with that specialty. I do hope that they can eventually get things better; I don't exactly know why Flying Bark left, other than some unspecified logistical issues. I should look into that, maybe. But at least it's not cancelled, and for now, Wildbrain is reasonably competent in the meantime.

Hallmark's The Way Home, Starring Andie MacDowell and Chyler Leigh, Sets Premiere Date

What if you could meet your mother when she was your age? That’s one of the questions posed in the trailer for the time-traveling Hallmark series The Way Home, starring Maid’s Andie MacDowell and Supergirl‘s Chyler Leigh.

On Thursday, the network announced the premiere date for the upcoming drama, which is set for Sunday, Jan. 15 at 9/8c, and revealed a sneak peek as well (see above).

The Way Home centers on three generations of women: Kat Landry (played by Leigh), her 15-year-old daughter Alice (Sadie Laflamme-Snow) and Kat’s mother Del (MacDowell), who are all described as “strong, willful and independent.”

In this multi-generational family drama, Kat and Del are estranged due to life-changing events that prompted Kat to leave her Canadian hometown of Port Haven 20 years ago. Alice never met her grandmother and has no idea why her family is so fractured. But when Kat’s marriage comes to an end and she is laid off from her job, she returns home “after receiving an unexpected letter from Del urging her to come back,” per the official synopsis.

Kat and her daughter arrive at her family’s farm, but the reunion isn’t what Kat had envisioned. As all three “slowly work on finding their footing as a family, they embark on an enlightening —and surprising — journey none of them could have imagined as they learn how to find their way back to each other.”
