Sick and fucking tired of those people who say “HB went downhill, what happened to it just being a comedy” just say you don’t like “complex” media (it’s not even complex, it’s like the bare minimum) because you’re shit at critical thinking and you only watch shows to turn your brain off.

Also what do you miss exactly? a pilot and 2 episodes max? cause it immediately established drama and angst, and if that’s not your thing, good for you, don’t watch it. But don’t get on my ass about “bad writing” just because you’re too up your own ass to stop criticizing everything you personally don’t like.

“They ruined Blitz’s character, they ruined Stolas’ character, they should’ve stayed like they were in the pilot” NO THE FUCK THEY SHOULDN’T HAVE. I want to have a reason to root for these characters, i want to be able to see all their emotions, i want to relate to them and cry when they go through shit.

Had Stolas stayed a “comedic relief” character it would’ve gotten stale fast and the whole show would’ve been so unbelievably boring. Stolas is great because he’s tragic, because he shows his humanity more than humans themselves.

And Blitz DID need to be a better character. He’s not gonna lose his whole personality, but i’d much rather see him fucking care for once. That’s all.

 “Nope!” Danny cheerfully responded, hands inside what might be a black hole or some sort of baby cosmos to-be as he molded it like a chunk of clay.

I have a theory that Yor's poison tolerance is so high not just because of the assassin training, but also from all the trial and error she likely went through while foraging for food as a kid.

(I mean, her cooking is a given as a source of poison training but I personally think that she probably ordered out most of her meals once she started living on her own. But considering a lot of adults sometimes have difficulty determining which berries and mushrooms are safe to eat, I fully expect a child with limited resources wouldn’t know right away. And rather than chance anything with Yuri, she likely was the poison checker herself until she became more familiar with what plants are safe to eat.)

that scene in ch 38 where astrid is all, ‘no wonder why hiccup likes you’ as a passing comment straight to jack’s face and it completely flies over his head was so wauuuughioiahhoouuiaeuaguu… especially bc afterwards, jack goes off on an emotional spiel about how much hiccup means to him, how he’s afraid of hiccup knowing how he feels, how much he wishes with all his heart that there was another way, how he would give up everything if it meant staying with hiccup and how much it crushes him that he just can’t — i was plucking my hair out my follicles one by one bc how can someone be so oblivious at the fact that they are so obviously at the deep end like (to quote hiccup) thor almighty, jackson overland frost you are in the trenches

The Substance was easily one of the best movies of the year imo… loved the directing, the acting, the writing, the costumes, the cinematography (all those stark angles…), the outdoor shots, the INTERIORS… the way men were written and visually filmed, the way we don’t stay in a room after the main character leaves just so we can hear what everyone else thinks about her - it is HER narrative - I fucking love women directing horror esp. body horror. This is not even to mention the anti-cosmetic modification/injection/surgery themes which are… 😳 Universal was scared to release this film and backed out!!!! GO SEE THIS (but be warned it’s Extremely gory - all I’ll say is haters of excessive CGI in horror will NOT be disappointed in the creativity on display here)

aaaa I just wanna hear izzy laugh so bad!! I want someone to crack him up and miraculously get a genuine smile out of him for the first time in like two decades. I want him to overhear some funny bit from the crew’s shared stories that actually makes him huff a little snort, only for him to immediately try to hide it. I want to hear that gravelly, deep rusty chuckle of his goddamnit!!! I want everyone to hear it and immediately whip their heads up in wide eyed shock. (is that… izzy?? laughing???? I didn’t even know he could DO that). (something in ed’s chest creaks a little to hear it again. it’s been so long since he’s heard that sound). I will not rest until my boy gets a tiny shred of happiness and that’s final!!!!
