The day people on Tiktok learn about media literacy is the day i can finally rest, but alas they have not, guess what bullshit they’re on about today!

I saw an edit of the I.M.P. customer from Sinsmas, so far so good, then i open the comment section, and am suddenly reminded that people are stupid.

“She kinda had a point” no tf she didn’t😭😭 What are you on about, genuinely?? You can enjoy a villainous character who’s clearly a bad person without having to make up excuses for their shitty behavior.

The woman is violently homophobic, she made plenty of jabs about gay people in that short conversation, and claimed her husband “probably cheated” but it was so clear to me that she got pissy because he divorced her and then got with a man, and she already had preconceived notions about homosexuals.

I’m convinced they watched the episode with their eyes closed, because a person legit said “oh but she said nothing about hating gay people”. Maybe if you’re straight, it might’ve gone over your head, but she said, verbatim, “He doesn’t deserve to live this heinous lifestyle and poison my daughters with it” clearly referring to him being gay😭

Her husband did not cheat, she just hates gay people, but Stolas is still in that self-hatred mode which is just heightened by the lack of medication for god knows how long, which is why he took it to heart. And people on Tiktok love the narrative that they (as in Stolitz) cheated and somehow that’s the worst moral thing they’ve done in the show, must i remind you that they kill people??

For the last fucking time, whether or not what Stolas did counts as cheating, Stella did not give a shit. Had he done it with a (female) Goetia, she would’ve probably only cared about taking a slight hit on her reputation, but since not only did he do it with a man, but with an IMP at that, she felt embarrassed because she only cares about her social status. Easy as that. She said it herself.

They were never in love, Stolas was never straight, and never pretended to be. Do y’all not remember EP1S2 which legit establishes the fact that they were arranged?? And that Stella is an abusive piece of shit? So regardless, she gets no sympathy from me for being “cheated on”, since the cruelty started way before Stolas and Blitz met again.

No, they couldn’t have divorced earlier, Stolas only gained enough confidence to go through with it and finally stand up for himself AFTER and BECAUSE of Blitz. Also he most likely wanted Via to reach 18, but as we all saw he couldn’t sustain these lies anymore at the end of that episode. And while the divorce made him free, there’s still consequences, especially with the custody, so tell me a way he could’ve escaped this nightmare without being “morally incorrect”. Perhaps death. Would you have preferred that? After all, the only perfect victim is a dead one.

Stolas finally getting his meds, expected conflict with Via but she was surprisingly the one to save him (she loves her dad so much i do not CARE), STOLITZ KISSING!!!!! Super fluffy and domestic Stolitz both at the beginning and the end, the slow dancing killed me. Loona has already made peace with the fact that she has 2 dads now. Blitz picturing his perfect family with Via and Stolas :((((((((( MILLIE IS FUCKING PREGNANT?????? Via singing FINALLY. Did not know Stolas could throw punches he was absolutely having a meltdown😭😭 Note to self: do not make that man angry. Gay dads. Stolas crying always makes me want to die. Blitz has never been this soft with ANY PARTNER HE LOVES HIM FRFR AAAAAAA. The cuddling the shopping spree the horses i loved it all. What a fucking way to end the season, couldn’t have gone better with the way shit was.

Just saw the stupidest argument on tiktok and felt the need to rant about it.

Why does it matter so much if i ship Jayvik and ship Mel with another woman??? You claim that i’m being misogynistic, but have you considered that i just don’t like straight ships and am a lesbian??

Sure, i don’t like Mel nearly as much as i like Viktor, and she’s about the same level as Jayce for me, but i don’t give a genuine fuck who you ship her with, because at the end of the day these are fictional characters and everyone’s allowed to have opinions about them.

“female characters always get sidetracked and shipped with characters they never met just so they don’t get in the way of the gay ship” Do you understand, genuinely, how shipping works? If i ship a couple, ANY couple, i don’t want ANYONE to get in the middle of that, fucking duh. Especially when it comes to otps. If you’re that pissed off about it, you’re in luck! Because most of the time, these mlm ships that are super popular aren’t even canon. Have fun!

And by trying to have this weird moral high ground, you’re completely disregarding the fact that rare pairs (or even popular wlw ships) are very much real and not just shipped out of convenience or spite, but because people like the possible dynamic, and exploring new things with hot characters.

Same thing for Bkdk and Togachako, personally i don’t even ship Bkdk (Kiribaku ftw) but if you actually think people only ship Togachako so Uraraka doesn’t get in the way of Bkdk, i’m sorry but you’re an idiot. People HAVE been shipping her and Toga. There’s tons of content for them. It’s one of the most loved ships and it absolutely stands on its own. Don’t piss me off.

It’s fine to want nuance in fandom discussions, but sometimes you read too much into things, sometimes fandoms just do things because they can, because it’s a fandom space, and it shouldn’t be limited.

It is so easy to curate your own fandom experience, the block button is right there!! Use it instead of starting arguments for no reason.

I love Stolitz, i love that we’ll get to see them finally be healthy and possibly fluffy with each other. However i can’t help but feel awful for Stolas, because not only can’t he ever catch a break, but he also can’t ever have 2 good things at once.

He had his precious daughter whom he loves and wants to protect, but he had to live in a loveless marriage with an abusive asshole in order to have that. And the man is irrevocably lonely. He takes antidepressants and cries like every other day. The only knowledge of romance he has is from rom-coms. He has never been on a real date before.

And when the guy he loves is starting to get his shit together so they can finally figure it out, he loses his daughter’s custody in the process.

Meanwhile Blitz is loved by his daughter, his coworkers, his childhood friend, shit he even reconciled with his ex, and still gets to go on knowing he’s so fucking loved by Stolas, because the man was literally willing to die for him, and has made it incredibly clear just how much he cares.

Stolas does not have this reassurance still. As an audience, we know Blitz loves him, but Stolas is still coming to terms with the fact that he lost is daughter, and i’m sure he thinks that Blitz is just pitying him and that’s why he’s taking care of him and letting him stay at his place. Fuck me give my bird a second to breathe i beg.

he's gay. he's terminally ill. he's suicidal. he's from league of legends. he's in a toxic relationship with an orb. he also might be the orb(???). he bullshitted his way into the academy by pretending he went there. he rizzed up a guy so he wouldn't kill himself. he then tried to impress said guy by breaking into his boss's lab. then when he got caught he tried to play it off by saying he thought this big intimidating door was his bedroom door and he was just trying to sneak a guy in there. he nearly died because hetero sex was happening like a mile away. kinda. he took illegal drugs. he's also the apprentice of the guy who's making the illegal drugs and never mentions it. he's inspired off of the tale of frankenstein's monster. he got shot by a missle and fucking died. when he came back to life he immediately broke up his messy gay situationship and became jesus fucking christ.

the new Helluva Boss episode truly healed me. Like i needed this after all the shit i’ve been dealing with. i’m fucking sobbing the whole episode was a shit show but lives were saved and we now have domestic stolitz to watch out for. The fucking tenderness of this scene is making me go insane. I needed this so badly after watching arcane (jayvik broke me)

I feel like with the new ~fandom drama~ or whatever going around, I should re-introduce my favorite theory of fandom, which I call the 1% Theory.

Basically, the 1% Theory dictates that in every fandom, on average, 1% of the fans will be a pure, unsalvageable tire fire. We’re talking the people who do physical harm over their fandom, who start riots, cannot be talked down. The sort of things public news stories are made of. We’re not talking necessarily bad fans here- we’re talking people who take this thing so seriously they are willing to start a goddamn fist fight over nothing. The worst of the worst.

The reason I bring this up is because the 1% Theory ties into an important visual of fandom knowledge- that bigger fandoms are always perceived as “worse”, and at a certain point, a fandom always gets big enough to “go bad”. Let me explain.

Say you have a small fandom, like 500 people- the 1% Theory says that out of those 500, only 5 of them will be absolute nutjobs. This is incredibly manageable- it’s five people. The fandom and world at large can easily shut them out, block them, ignore their ramblings. The fandom is a “nice place”.

Now say you have a medium sized fandom- say 100,000 people. Suddenly, the 1% Theory ups your level of calamity to a whopping 1000 people. That’s a lot. That’s a lot for anyone to manage. It is, by nature of fandom, impossible to “manage” because no one owns fan spaces. People start to get nervous. There’s still so much good, but oof, 1000 people.

Now say you have a truly massive fandom- I use Homestuck here because I know the figures. At it’s peak, Homestuck had approximately FIVE MILLION active fans around the globe.

By the 1% Theory, that’s 50,000 people. Fifty THOUSAND starting riots, blackmailing creators, contributing to the worst of the worst of things.

There’s a couple of important points to take away here, in my opinion.

1) The 1% will always be the loudest, because people are always looking for new drama to follow.

2) Ultimately, it is 1%. It is only 1%. I can’t promise the other 99% are perfect, loving angels, but the “terrible fandom” is still only 1% complete utter garbage.

3) No fandom should ever be judged by their 1%. Big fandoms always look worse, small fandoms always look better. It’s not a good metric.

So remember, if you’re ever feeling disheartened by your fandom’s activity- it’s just 1%, people. Do your part not to be a part of it.

The Saiki K fandom is an almost perfect fandom. Almost. It would be perfect if people stopped POLICING MY FUCKING SHIP. It’s a perfectly legal, normal ship. But y’all just HAVE to be hypocrites when it comes to shipping Saiki with anyone.

I see plenty of posts shipping Saiki romantically with Teruhashi or Aiura, and no one has anything bad to say, but when i ship him with Satou suddenly it’s a problem, suddenly it’s “he’s aroace!!! you can’t ship him with anyone!!!” or “Saiki doesn’t canonically like anyone” Atp it’s just homophobia, plain and simple.

First of all, i’m aroace, i ship what i want with characters who represent ME. I know how aroace people behave in romantic relationships, therefore i don’t need roaches in my ears yapping about how bad it is to ship them, because god forbid an aroace person defies your expectations for how they behave romantically. Putting us all in a fucking box won’t solve shit.

Second of all, and i can’t stress this enough, IT. DOES. NOT. FUCKING. MATTER. Shipping is supposed to be fun, i do not care what is canon and what isn’t canon, but if we wanna nitpick then Saiki canonically has a crush on Satou in the manga. There. I do not care that Satou has a gf. Or what makes Saiteru or Saiura more implied. But don’t get on my ass for shipping Saiki with someone only when i ship him with a man (whom he’s canonically obsessed with, his motives don’t matter)

If i look for content about these two all i find is really mean-spirited videos telling people that the ship is abhorrent and we’re worth less than dirt for liking it. Shit, even on shipping posts we aren’t free to do what we want! Artists will get hit with the “oh i hate the ship but cool art!” THAT ISN’T THE COMPLIMENT YOU THINK IT IS. STOP FUCKING INTERACTING. NO ONE LIKES YOU.

Anyways, even if they’re not my favorite Saiki K ship (i’m a kubokai truther), they still mean a lot to me, so i’d appreciate if allos stopped speaking over me trying to dictate what i can and can’t ship.

As i never had any strong feelings about either character, and also completely forgot what happened in the game (did i genuinely play with my eyes closed???) i did some research before coming up with a decent enough opinion

And the verdict is:

Pretty good!

From what i’ve read it’s a very fun dynamic, love the no-bullshit hard worker x total bag of potatoes lazy ass. It makes up for some great banter imo.

Honestly, hsr does a fantastic job with its yuri, so even if this ship doesn’t particularly stand out to me, i can still understand why people ship it, and why the characters are liked in general. I adore getting into new things, and my curiosity will always take control over everything else i got going on. From what i’ve seen so far, it’s a totally solid ship!

So for that, i’ll give it a 7/10! Good, but not a personal fave ^^

I’ll keep that in mind! Tho i think i kept it pretty respectful, i do know how some fanbases can get about shipping (especially straight fans ahem).

I’m glad i’m not the only one who feels this way! So far i’ve found very few mlw ships that appeal to me, because most of them uphold very redundant (or straight up gross) gender stereotypes, so when they get hit with the trans ray, or both of them are under the bi umbrella, it’s very refreshing to see!

The mlw ship i probably tolerate the most because of this (not in the hsr fandom, in general) is Millie and Moxxie from Helluva Boss. Say what you will about the media in question, but it’s objectively hilarious that this married imp couple shares an ex, and the guy gets pegged. Imo they’re both bi, even if canonically only Moxxie is.

Also, from what i’ve seen, most mlw ships are shipped exclusively as a gotcha moment to the more popular same-sex counterparts, which just doesn’t sit right with me. Let the gays have something to rejoice over please!!

hi :) thoughts on jiaoqiu x feixiao?

Hello!! Little reminder that i do not judge anyone for the ships they like before i get into this post ^^

There’s 2 big things that keep me from getting into this ship: The fact that i stopped playing right as these characters were released, and the fact that it’s a straight ship.

The first one could easily be fixed, i recently came back to the game because as a Sunday enthusiast i need to have him now that i know he’ll be playable, but i am still in Penacony lore-wise, so i have absolutely no clue what these characters are like, and what their story is. Beating the Sunday boss will be a total pain in the ass, so i expect this situation to be unchanging for a long time lol

For the second one, it really is that simple, i find straight ships completely unrelatable (and usually a little boring) so i can’t get into them. I’m a lesbian, so i love wlw ships (tho i don’t consume much content for them because i relate TOO much), and mlm ships are still gay so there’s still some relatability to it, which i cannot find with straight relationships.

If you view the characters in this ship as queer in some way, i could try and get behind it, but tbh i don’t wanna force myself to do something that doesn’t particularly interest me. With all that said, i don’t mind if you like it! Do as you wish and don’t let anyone force you to change the ships you’re into😭 My opinion truly shouldn’t matter as i’m only one person in a horde of people who probably go crazy over it.

I’ve felt positively about this ship ever since i saw their first interaction! I don’t get how most of the fandom did a complete 180 on them, calling them toxic. or abusive.

Even though i strongly prefer Arlebina, sometimes i need a little something on the side, and this is perfect!! I was sweating during that tea scene, and could honestly feel that tension from miles away, never take away toxic yuri from me PLEEK

Hey anon!! I’m finally active again, sorry for the wait 😓😓

Onto a more positive note, LOVE Galladay!! I’m a freak for religious themes in ships and Sunday is one of my favorite HSR characters so this ship is peak to me.

Also, big shoutout to their fan artists because they always make bangers.

All i know is that Sunday needs to get fucked (literally) so i’m happy to hear that someone is up to the task! 9/10 for me, pal!

Overall very little thoughts because i still haven’t gotten the hang of most hsr lore, but this pairing has so much potential that i might just have to start looking into it!
