Finally sitting down and working on these again. Glueing the foliage to the brass rods required Just enough effort to kick in the ol’ executive disfunction and get me to procrastinate it for a bit there. Being between anime seasons helps though, so here they are all leafed up. Let the glue sit for a bit here, then take them outside and give them a spray of varnish on just that green stuff. Get them stable enough to go back and paint on watered down white glue.
Additionally got my hands on a Power Pod finally, to be the lone non-Faction model in my Waste army. Doesn’t mean it’s not required to look the part though so promptly carved a bit split in it and hollowed it out a bit. Lightly glued to a temporary home with the outline of a base traced on so I don’t go out of bounds.

It's fun thinking of the next year's content. I want to put a spotlight on a handful of non-GW games with Box Reviews, Rules videos, Expansion Gloss Overs, Battle Reports for multiple games and campaigns, and other related content to the games that I can think of like Lore vids etc.
These games would be Fallout:Wasteland Warfare, Gaslands, Don't Look Back, and Monsterpocalypse!
I do want to do some Warcry Batreps too, but GW isn't getting the rest of the nine yards that the other games are getting cause everyone knows GW pretty well and I think the other games deserve some love and respect!

Mylene’s Into Monsters - Start of Monsterpocalypse
Mylene: Ok, I've got videos of cows being slaughtered to watch, and a pin to poke on my arm. That should get me to be mad. What about you?
Juleka: I’m scrolling through anti-LGBT blogs!
(As they do so, they begin to tense up, and as the akuma flies in the window, they giggle like fangirls. As it hits them, Hawk Moth enters their minds.)
Hawk Moth: Horrificator, Night Jester, I am Hawk- (He's cut off by the girls, who squee in his ears)
Mylene: Turn us into monsters!
Juleka: Really scary ones! I wanna make Rose scream with joy!
Hawk Moth: Wait... you want to be akumatized?
Mylene: Yes, please grant our wish?
(Hawk Moth is genuinely stunned. This had never happened to him before, and if he thought anyone would want to become a brainwashed monster, it would be someone truly evil, like Chloe.)
Hawk Moth: I.. er.. you do realize that you have to be angry for me to do such a thing? I feed on people’s negative emotions.
Juleka: Well, we’ll be pretty pissed if you don’t do so.
Hawk Moth: Fair enough. It’s just... well that kinda takes the fun out of it for me.
Mylene: We promise we’ll do whatever you ask!
Hawk Moth: *Sighing* Oh my god, I’m really doing this. Ok, fine. So you want to be monsters, right?
Juleka: Uh huh! I wanna be a vampire clown, with spider legs!
Mylene: And I wanna throw up acid vomit!
Hawk Moth: Yes yes! Whatever! Freaking weirdos!
(He turns them into their Akumas. Also Horrificator can talk.)
Horrificator: Eeee!!! We look so beautiful! (She trills happily)
Juleka: Let’s go out and share the wonders of monsterloving! (Her legs jitter with excitement!)
(As he lets them cut off connection, he sits dejectedly in his chair.)
Hawk Moth: Nooroo, Dark Wings Fall.
(He turns back into Gabriel, and takes off his Miraculous.)
Nooroo: Master, what are you-
Gabriel: I give up, Nooroo. Give these and the brooch and put it in a place where Cat Noir and Ladybug can find them. I’m announcing my retirement.
Nooroo: But why?
Gabriel: I’d rather give up my attempt to save Emilie than be mocked forever for unleashing monsterloving akumas onto the world.
Nooroo: Won’t those girls be trapped in their akuma forms forever.
Gabriel: Oh... I don’t think they’ll see it that way. Something tells me we need to leave Paris immediately. I fear that we’ve just unleashed an apocalypse.
Nooroo: Oh bother.
Here’s a sequel of sorts to Horrificator but slightly different. I just thought it’d be funny if her and Jules’s monster loving is what caused Hawk Moth to give up. Thanks to Weeby for helping with the first half of the story dialogue. Make sure to reblog, reply, ask and post. @artzychic27 @msweebyness

Love and monsters (Film)
Description: Seven years after the Monsterpocalypse, Joel Dawson, along with the rest of humanity, has been living underground ever since giant creatures took control of the land.
After reconnecting over the radio with his high school girlfriend, Aimee, who is now 80 miles away at a coastal colony, Joel begins to fall for her again.
As Joel realizes that there's nothing left for him underground, he decides to venture out to Aimee, despite all the dangerous monsters that stand in his way.
Why did I research this: This is for the designing of my fauna & flora giving a hand drawn first person view designs.

The Monster Manual:
Encyclopaedias of art and tales,
One of my favourite things in this world of ours is monster manuals or more specifically any book listing, detailing and depicting creatures, beasts and monsters sometimes with astounding attention capturing lore but other times with blank slates for your mind to fill with your own thoughts and ideas.
Possibly my earliest introduction to the fascinating world of creature design and lore writing was the 4th edition dungeons and dragons monster manual, I had heard of the the table top game before and had always been curious about its world(s) and what fantastical creatures may live there. I still remember reading through all the pages finding out as much as I could about each creature and how they related to each other and the wider world. It was the feelings and thoughts I had while reading that book that made me start collecting art books and creature compendiums as well as start to get into creature design.
I’m going to list and explain below some pieces of media that utilise creature compendiums and maps well:
Love and Monsters; this film follows Joel Dawson a young man forced underground with the rest of humanity during an event that took place 7 years prior called the monsterpocalypse where every cold blooded animal on the planet to mutate into horrific creatures, some of which are not so horrific in nature, there are journals and maps throughout the film which list and detail the different monsters of the new world and how to avoid or combat them.
The Spiderwick Chronicles; this films creature compendium is more focal to its plot, the story follows two brothers and a sister’s experiences with the magical world and creatures that border and intersect there new home, the trouble for them starts after one of the twin brothers Jared finds a book called “ a field guide to fantastic creatures” written by someone called Arthur Spiderwick, this book contains many drawings and facets of lore about the magical creatures hidden to most.
Fantastic beasts and where to find them; an offshoot of the Harry Potter franchise focusing upon the magical creatures of the wizarding world and a rather enthused wizard called newt Scamander all set in the early 20th century, the creature compendium of this film is/was written by its protagonist and had a real world copy which despite my feelings towards JK.Rowling is actually a pretty good book.

Hey! Hey! Remember this?
I was running through a monsterpocalypse in my head and just stumbled onto the perfect explanation for With Love, Marjolaine. It fits her character and her rough sketch role perfectly and fleshes it out.
I love a rotten, weaselly woman!

I'm just saying, Monsterpocalypse:
-Takes one roll per attack
-Doesn't require any measuring tapes
-Lets you use a Jaeger to suplex Cthulhu or throw a Ferris wheel into Godzilla
Watched Dicebreaker do an intro to the latest edition of Warhammer 40K, and...it was a good video! It clearly articulated the way the system worked! They had a lovely friendly vibe! They had expert guidance to help with the rules! All of which made it incredibly clear that I will never, ever get into playing 40K!
I mean, I knew it's expensive, I knew I'm bad at strategy games, but I did not know just how many rolls it takes to do anything! A single attack has, like...four or five sets of rolls to get from the attack to the damage? Which I'm sure is fine for them as likes it, but honestly for me, two rolls is pushing it.

Got Slingoozer’s new paint job all finished and sealed and on their base. Now just waiting on the final pack of the new slimes to get released, along with a Power Pod I’ve got in transit. In the meantime, I have Finally started working on my buildings.
Buildings have always been the weak spot in my MonPoc armies, with only a single one having ever been painted prior to now. However with my Waste the buildings are very much part of the aesthetic theme rather than purely chosen for in-game advantage. Starting off with the one that has the lowest effort basing as a proof of concept/test model for the main thing, the smoke. Clump foliage super glued to a brass rod, then soaked in spray primer. Looking good so far, will work on getting some colors on it over the next few days.
